Most amazing service ever!!!! I had rescued a 2 year old Am Staff/Pit mix big boy and was not used to grooming every place I went it was a no go. For the price, not super impressed with service. My husband liked the groomer we had there initially but she's not there anymore. There's a difference in behavior when he's come home from getting groomed by her versus anyone else (he's not a nice boy for grooming). I have loved Pet Evolution for treats and gear for a while now but am writing this review to talk up their grooming services. My heeler/Shepard mix is dog-shy and hates baths. We never got her nails trimmed in her first 1 1/2 years with me because she's a bunch of wiggles. I talked to a groomer to see if they'd be willing to work on her, they were but I was still nervous. ***DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE*** I will start by saying that the first year I went to this location, all the staff I had interacted with were nothing short of amazing. However, upon our most recent visit, before using the self-serve bath, I paid for a nail trim and ear cleaning to be done by the groomers. My dog received a chemical burn to both ears from the grooming service due to an improperly mixed, highly concentrated solution. I reached out to the owners Rian Thiel and Mike Osborn. Rian did try to be helpful by giving me some ear solution and a cover for my dogs ears to prevent shaking of the ears. When his ears were not getting any better, I reached out again, this time to Mike Osborn. The lack of compassion and empathy from Mike was shocking. He claimed that my dog had allergies and he could do nothing for me, he was extremely mean with his choice of words and told me to come into the store and he would say it to my face! He then proceeded to say that I needed to seek help because I was upset that my dog was injured by their groomer and in pain. I am my dog's only advocate and it is my responsibility to keep him safe from harm, which is exactly what this business caused him. The owners of this Pet Evolution and the Arden Hills location have zero love or compassion for these animals in which they serve. I refuse to support such a business. If you have love for your dog as I do, BEWARE of the Woodbury and Arden Hills Pet Evolution, they will take zero accountability if and when negligence and harmful actions of their staff cause injury to your pet. read more

I am so grateful that this business has come to Woodbury! We first brought our dogs here about two months ago and one of our dogs is typically very stressed and anxious with regards to grooming, however it was clear to see (upon picking them up from their appointment) that they had a very different experience! I'm so happy with this groomer! I've tried another for my puppy and was not happy at all before. It was very easy to make and reschedule my appointment here. I dropped my puppy off and he was ready about 75 minutes later. He came in with a lot of matting on his rear and paws. The groomer said she would have to practically shave him! I told her that I really liked his flowy tail, long ears, and square face and she managed to maintain all of it! When I picked him up, I was worried that she would complain about his behavior like his past groomer did but not at all! She just mentioned that he was nervous with clipping his nails but he did fine over all. That made me feel really good about coming here because she didn't seem annoyed with the state I brought my dog in. It was about $60 wash, cut, and nail clip for my 10 lb dog. Please DO NOT support Pet Evolution. Especially the Grand Ave location. I was so excited to see that Grand Ave had a new pet grooming location/store. I parked and went right in. While walking around and seeing what the location offered was what became my worst nightmare. A Pet Revolution employee (as you can see through the glass at the grooming station) was yelling/screaming and this small black pup. The pup was constantly barking at this woman. The woman was yelling shut up/be quiet/stop! I witnessed the groomer/woman quickly grab tightly the small pups leg and hold it tight. It was emotionally distraught seeing any animal be treated so poorly and with no patience or care. I recorded the groomer yelling, screaming and abusive behavior at this poor animal. A staff member came up to me to see if I needed help. I told her the behavior of the groomer was unacceptable. She justified what the groomer was doing saying it was an aggressive dog. In my opinion aggressive dogs come from abuse and this groomer showed no care, patience, love or any respect for this animal. She was more than okay showing everyone in the store that that's how she treats animals. My experience left me raddled. For those of us animal lovers I will NEVER bring my pup there nor will I recommend Pet Evolution! The groomer of this small pup is in the wrong business. I found this place when I stopped next door to see the dentist. There was a huge sign about washing your dog. I have a 55 lb dog who is very energetic and likes to get very dirty when we go to the dog park. I decided to try it out after I took my dog to the dog park. I let him get very dirty, roll in the mud, jump into the pond and we went to the Pet Evolution. The first time I went I was not the only person there but it was a great experience. In the washing room there are four stations and someone to wash down the stations in between dogs. It was convenient because I could hook my dogs collar us to tub so he couldn't move around too much, he doesn't like baths. They provided the shampoo, towels and a dryer. I liked it because I felt like my dog got a really good clean and I didn't have to worry about cleaning up after giving him a bath. Who knew a black lab could shed so much during a bath? They have a loyalty program that after 5 baths the 6th is free. I will take advantage of this. Today was our second time going and the experience was still awesome. read more

This place went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us out in a pinch. The evening prior to our visit, our dog (boxer/mastiff mix) got sprayed by a skunk while we were on vacation visiting family in Chicago. We used a peroxide solution on her that evening, but the stench remained. While driving back to the cities I called over a dozen pet stores and grooming salons trying to find a place that 1.) sold a de-skunking shampoo and 2.) had a self-wash station or a grooming appointment that day. Since it was a Sunday, most places closed late afternoon and shut down their wash stations an hour before closing. The woman at the phone at PE told me they closed at 6 pm, and allowed the last wash of the day to start no later than 4:45 so that they could properly sanitize and close down the groom room starting at 5. Once we realized we weren't going to be able to make it back in time due to traffic, I called a few more places in Wisconsin along 94 but there were none that had the services we needed. Out of options, we decided to stop at PE anyway and purchase the special shampoo and attempt to wash our 70 lb. dog in our driveway with our hose to avoid getting the skunk smell in our house. We arrived just a few minutes before 5 pm and I begged the employee behind the desk to allow us to use the Groom Room even though it was past the time we were told. The MOST AMAZING employee ever, AMBER, agreed to let us groom our dog, Roxy, as long as we were out by 5:10 so that they could sanitize. She grabbed the special shampoo off the shelf and proceeded to help me with every step of the process from giving me extra advice about how best to remove the skunk stench, to calming and talking to Roxy, to standing beside me and scrubbing MY DOG along with me! After I had rinsed her off, Amber came back and gave her a whiff and said "Aww, poor girl, you're still a little stinky. Let's give it one more try!" (even though it was already 5:15). Again, she helped calm and scrub Roxy and even went and got some Dawn soap to help de-grease the skunk oil. I don't want to condone showing up late and guilting the staff to let you use their facilities; however, I cannot say enough about how friendly, positive, patient, understanding, and professional the staff at PE was yesterday (especially Amber). We created extra work for her at the end of the day on a weekend and she never narrowed her eyes or let on that she was even slightly annoyed. She was even so knowledgeable that she correctly identified both mixed breeds in our other dog that we had along! (I know that's not really pertinent to the story, but seriously, NOBODY can tell that Frida is half Boston Terrier - well done, Amber!) On top of our unique experience, the Groom Room is clean and easy to access for tall people and big dogs! They provide the rubber aprons, shampoo, tub harness, and towels for a very reasonable price. Skunked or not, we will definitely bring Roxy back here for a basic bath - so much more convenient than trying to rig something up in our shower. Came in a month ago to use their walk-in nail services for the first time. I had asked that groomer if she could also shave the fur on my small/medium dog's paws a little too, no problem, $15 total. Today, I asked the same question and the bill came back at $30, apparently shaving is an extra $15, which I was not informed of. Other places I have been to include paw shaving in the price. I was very anxious about leaving my "baby" with anyone due to some bad experiences. The people at Pet Evolution were very professional yet warm and inviting to our bichon. They took half the time other groomers in the area took to do a better job! And when I picked him up, my dog wasn't locked away in a cage. He was behind a locked gate with the groomer. She did a fantastic job! One thing that I really liked about her, was when I came to pick my dog up, he was still a little damp, she explained to me that the dryer was stressing him out. Competitive or even cheaper prices on dog food! We feed our labradoodle Fromm Adult Gold dog food and 15 pounds is $26.99. On Amazon, 5 pounds is $24.66!!! So Pet Evolution's price is about 1/3 of that charged by Amazon. Something I didn't expect with a small business but that's so great plus you get rewarded for every five bags you buy. Not pleased with my experience here apart from the customer service which was fine. I used the self wash and was given one shampoo option. I almost slipped on the wet tile floor as no mats are on the floor next to the self wash tubs. No brush or rubber cleaner was offered like other self washes do. I then added a nail trim onto the self wash which was almost double what an add on cost would be at other self wash stores. Overall not pleased with the cost to simply wash my dog myself. read more

Lived in 4 states and by far the best Pet store ever. Not just their love for animals and great products but by far one of the best customer service companies I have experienced. My wife and I were out of town with Grandma watching the kids, a snow storm hits and we are out of dog food, we call and they know my wife by first name, we explain the situation and the OWNER drives the food over to our home during a snow storm within 45 minutes of our call. Not only was that gesture amazing but a complete differentiator in their business and an example of how you make customers for life.
