Megan groomed my cat on 5/29 at the Andover location from 2pm-515pm my cat was there. She was unable to finish grooming her due to my cat's stress level. Which is completely fine and understandable. She said Jasmine would do well but then get stressed so she'd have a break and then go back to her. Her hair is completely uneven, choppy, and half done. She acknowledged the haircut results and She said that we can come back Tuesday to finish the haircut and it would cost $20 more. (This visit was $97). Megan, the owner, also informed me that while grooming my cat, my cat jumped up and over the dividers landing on an area that had a bowl of clippers and the Andis cleaning oil in it. Megan told me the oil got on my cat that's why my cat is now greasy. She said it was only on her back. However, it was visible and greasy feeling on her chest and front paws. I brought my cat home and she was licking her fur. After licking herself she began foaming and drooling from her mouth every time she licked her fur. Google, from the screenshot Megan sent me, stated, it's not considered a high toxic level to cats but can cause digestion issues such as vomiting or diarrhea or upset stomach if ingested. My issue is, I still paid full price for a cat that wasn't completely groomed and came back to me greasy. At the minimum I thought maybe they would at least rinse her off to prevent ingesting any of the oil. That was not the case. Megan again stated that the oil only got on her back and she would check the cameras and get back to me. (I don't need camera footage, I can see and feel the oil on her chest and front paws) I also messaged Megan about my dissatisfaction and giving her a heads up that I would be posting my experience and my advice to her is to keep the oil off the grooming floor, away from any possibility of an animal getting it on themselves. I have not received a response back. Again, I'm not upset she couldn't finish cutting my cats hair. I'm upset the clipper cleaning oil was in the area of grooming and got on my cat, making her long hair greasy, then my cat ingested it and started foaming and drooling at the mouth and I am now monitoring her all night to ensure she doesn't get sick or need to be brought to the vet. I will not take her to the groomers again. I'd rather have a few matted areas than see my cat foaming and drooling at the mouth again. This didn't need to happen. Please remove any cleaning oil/products from being within animal reach of being knocked over or anything read more

They did a great job bathing and trimming up our Siberian kitty, who got matted up in a few spots over time. They are so nice, kitties have a screened off area for their grooming, and the price is very fair. read more

My cat is a feisty little guy - he doesn't like being handled even by me, and rivals Houdini in his talent for escape artistry. But he has long fur that often mats, so he needs to be groomed when he blows his coat. The process of booking an appointment was easy and service was friendly. They managed to trim my goblin's nails, deshed him, and even somehow got a cute little bow on him without any bloodshed or escape attempts. That's real skill there! read more

I had the BEST experience with K9 & Kitty Kutters. I took my long haired cat, Tito, in for his first cut yesterday due to matting behind his legs and on his back. I could tell the mats made him uncomfortable so I was pretty nervous for how he'd do. Thankfully, he did amazing and Megan took such great care of him! I could tell he was in good hands from the moment I dropped him off- all staff members are super friendly and highly skilled at their job. I wish I could write 100 positive reviews of these amazing folks. We take our older German Shepherd here for the whole 9 yards - wash cut blowout nails etc. and I cannot emphasize enough the care and consideration they put into their work. Our shepherd is a bit quirky (to put it nicely) and a little tricky to work with and HUGE, but every time we pick her up it's like she's had the best day of her life. A fantastic Southside spot where I feel like I'm dropping her off for a day full of love instead of the typical drop and go. They listen to all of our concerns and work to accommodate her. She literally hangs out behind the counter after she's done. Cannot recommend these folks enough!!! read more

Just returned from my dogs being groomed for the first time with K9 & Kitty Kutters- and I am thoroughly impressed both by the service received and how my pups look! My husband have tried 3 different groomers in the Twin Cities having moved here a year ago and missed the people we used in Chicago greatly. SO happy that I feel confident we have a great new standard! Making an appointment for the dogs was super easy and though I know it is very hard to give a price quote over the phone; they gave me a reasonable estimate and it ended up being that exact amount at checkout! I have a 15 year old Golden Retriever mix; along with some minor mobility issues he also tends to plop down and doesn't stand in place for long. On top of that he has some lumps (fatty growths that have been checked by the vet and confirmed not painful or cancerous) so I was a little worried about him. Megan who greeted me, assured me that she loves senior dogs and has had many herself! She totally understood my concerns and was lovely in understanding his needs. I also have a small 6 year old Pekingese mix who is nervous; Megan was very gentle and picked her right up and my dog settled down! I came a little early to pick them up and Megan was on the floor clipped my elder dog's nails so he could lie down!!! It was amazing to see someone so kind and gentle to my elder dog and he was relaxed and hanging out. Both dogs look great and were happy tails wagging!! Truly impressed by the kindness in their professionalism and attention to detail. Also the price was extremely reasonable for a wonderful grooming job. We will definitely be new regular customers! I took my dog in yesterday and they were able to trim her nails gently and quickly on the floor without having to put her on the table. It's a Sunday and most dog grooming establishments are closed, but I decided to give K9 & Kitty Kutters a try for my dogs' nail trims. $10 for nail trim or $15 for the nail filer/grind/sander. It was only us in the grooming place so we were serviced immediately. The gal was super friendly and accommodating. We brought in our french bulldog who was pretty well behaved, on the other hand our english bulldog was not thrilled with getting his nails groomed. He's quite a large plum fella so every time he moved, he pretty much fell off the counter, so it would have been nice if they had large counters for the pets to sit on versus small grooming tray tables. Since he was not behaving I gave the gal the OK to either muzzle him or do what she needs to do to get his nails trimmed. But she was too nice and didn't do either, in result I feel like my dog's nails could have been groomed a little better. $30 for the service was a tad pricey no frills. Let's talk about the grooming facility - not impressed. It felt untidy, unclean and grimey; not organized at all. There's hair, rust, and stains all over so I don't know if I felt like it was quite hygenic? Grooming comeback for my pups? I'll probably try another place next time. read more

My little rescue pom needed a grooming. Not only did she look good when she came out, she wasn't clingy or high strung when I came to pick her up. Our groomer was Ell, but I'm certain any groomer here would take excellent care of your critter. In addition to all of the above- the little pom (puppy mill rescue) actually flew right up a flight of steps on her very own. I stopped by to make an appointment for my shitzu, Larry. I had heard mixed reviews about this place but figured I'd give them a shot anyways. When I walked in the smell of cat urine was overwhelming. I mentioned it and was told that it was from a cat they had been grooming but I could see pee on some chairs in the waiting area, on the floor at the entrance and on the front counter. It was absolutely disgusting. The place in general was just dirty. There appeared to be bird poop all over as well. The people working there seemed nice but I decided NOT to leave my dog in such a dirty environment. Id recommend going somewhere else. read more

I have been bringing my senior (14 1/2 year old) terrier mix to Megan for a couple years. Her ability to calm an otherwise VERY aggressive and scared dog is amazing. He has numerous health problems due to his age and I cannot take him anywhere else without the use of a muzzle. I don't know how she does it, but he doesn't even snap at her. Thank god Megan exists! I have brought my dog there a couple of times, and it's gotten progressively worse. The first time was just OK. The second time, I can't even describe how weird she looked..... she is a shih tzu, so a distinctive look. Longer ears, a shaped face. she looked SO odd when they were done, her face and ears were shaved, it was terrible. I thought maybe she was matted and I didn't know it, so gave them another chance. First, my daughter was charged $600, but they quickly reversed the charge when she spoke up. For the dog, the end result was awful! Again, her face was shaved ridiculously. She still has longer tufts of hair all over her body, and they didn't even fully clean the hair off of her that had been cut off. This time though, she was either shaved too close or she was nicked, and ended up with a cut on her neck. It was covered by the bow that was put on her, so we didn't find it until 2 days later when she was so infected that she couldn't eat or drink, stand up on her own..... her neck started bleeding profusely and once cleaned up we saw the oozing pus. $300+ later at the vet, and we are still trying to get her back to healthy. This was horrible, and I hope no one ever experiences what we are going through with this poor dog. She is miserable, lethargic, feverish and in pain. Terrible. read more

Hands down, best pet groomer in town! I brought my three legged cat in this summer for his annual lion cut. The groomer was amazing! My cat was done within a few hours of drop off and the price couldn't be beat! He looked amazing and they were able to work around the sensitive area where his leg was amputated. I have used Megan for years, before this shop was opened. I have been here a few times & she always does a great job with my cats. They are never stressed out & she is very patient & does a good job. She even helped out with a foster kitty I got that was horribly matted & spent HOURS cleaning her up a little at a time. I will not take any of my cats anywhere else. I don't care if the place isn't perfect looking. Its the service & happiness of my pet that matters! Cats & dogs don't care if there is a stain on the floor!!! They also have hospice fosters in the shop which I love because to take in an animal that is too ill or old to get a home & let it be loved on by everyone coming to the shop is a wonderful way for it to spend its last days. read more
