It's been awhile since I have taken my dogs to this groomer, but I'm so happy with our current groomer and after talking with her, we both agreed that I should leave a review so that other potential clients can be aware of the experience I had. I have two Westies and brought them to this location maybe 2-3 times before making the decision to look elsewhere and change groomers. Finding a groomer was hard as I started looking during the start of the COVID pandemic. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, without notice, they added an extra charge of $30-40/per dog, due to them being "difficult". I asked them what that meant, and asked them if they were biting at them, and they said no. One of the groomers did have some scratches on her arms, but didn't go into details on what happened. This place accepts anywhere from 6-8 dogs at a time, and my only guess was that maybe the combined noises from the blow driers was too much for my two dogs. Their haircuts were fine, but overpriced for the end product. I am completely happy with the current groomer we go to in WSP - Wiggles & Wags. It is a smaller location, and that could have been just what I needed for my two dogs. Leah and Alex clearly have had a lot of experience. I was concerned dropping them off after the experience at Haute Dog, but when I picked them up, they told me that "they were great - no problems". I couldn't believe my ears. I shared my experience at Haute Dog, and they said that is not the experience they had. My concern for Haute Dog is the well-being of dogs that may have special needs. My suggestion is that they get some employees who can think on the spot and find new ways to make dogs feel safe as every dog is different and has different fears or anxieties. When I picked up my dogs from Haute Dog, they could not wait to get out of that space and were shaking. Because of COVID it was another barrier that left me with many questions why my dogs were in the state that they were. read more

My dog had a couple small patches where fur matted ( behind ear and part of tail) and I told her if you have to shave those parts ok just Don't shave entirely . She not Only shaved entire dog down to his skin she literally shaved his skin there isn't even a 1/10000000 inch of fur left on him . he looks Like a hairless dog . And she cut him at Least 6 places big cuts, didn't bother mentioning the cuts when picked him up. He has been wheezing non stop since appointment. He used to love groomer but he is seriously traumatized by this visit he's shaking hiding under bed and not the same dog. It also took much less time then normal and was clear she just cared about getting off work for day. I hope he's back to normal soon. read more

They have since dramatically increased prices and all of my favorite groomers left/quit. Last time I went, I scheduled with Wendy but when I showed up, they informed me she had quit a month ago. I told them I would've appreciated a heads up and they shrugged it off and asked "why". The appointment did not go well at all with the new groomer and yet she didn't bother calling me to ask questions about my preferences during the appointment. I have since switched groomers. read more

This place is great! I wish it was easier to get an appointment on short notice as they are always booked at least a month or two in advance but they are worth it! They love our monthly visits with our Pomeranian and always take great care of him. He always looks great when we get him back. Our golden doodle just left the spa. There was absolutely no care or skill used in his cut. He had matts and their solution was to simply shave everything without trying to brush anything out. I could have done this myself if all I wanted was to haphazardly shave him -- ears, tail down to last millimeter of hair etc. I do not recommend this place at all and our dog won't be returning. read more

Our regular groomer is booked several months out so I decided to try Haute Dog, after passing by a few times. I'm always nervous trying a new groomer after a couple bad haircuts. The staff at Haute Dog was very friendly and took time to understand what I was looking for. Basically shaved down to skin, nothing is even about the little that is left and there is a chunk of hair that is cut off on one ear. I do not recommend this place. This place no longer giving a good service after the new ownership . We took our golden retriever there since he was a puppy , he used to smell very good and feels smooth clean after the full bath . Unfortunately wasn't the case last few times we visited, his ears weren't even cleaned , and he came out somewhat still wet . Not sure if they changed their shampoo products or the groomer didn't wash him fully , he comes out still dirty . After having a bad experience at 2 other groomers, we searched for an alternate option only to be turned away at each groomer because they were not taking new clients. Terrible! Just went a couple days ago, waited 2 months for the appointment, based on reviews thought it was worth the wait. We discussed going short for my Bernadoodles hair, she can't back looking like a buzz cut and her ears weren't even trimmed the same on each side. For $170, no thanks . We love Haute Dog Spa. We have been to a couple of different groomers at the spa and both were awesome. They did an excellent job adhering to CDC guidelines with their curbside pickup/drop off. Extremely professional and I always know my pup is safe with them. Penny loves to visit them and always looks good and smells great after. Definitely worth what you pay for! read more
