2 dogs 1) just nails 2) bath 1) Melissa worked really well on dog #1. she was in and out in under 10 minutes. (closer to 5, but It took me some time to pay the invoice). 2) Aiko was wonderful with my scaredy dog. my dog's coat was clean, shiny and his skin was free of debris. they were lovely and communicative. melissa was especially kind when we had to remove our recently deceased dog from the list of our brood. read more

The Petco corporate office has generously refunded my money after the dog I recently adopted had to be returned to the rescue due to aggression. I was unable to complete the obedience training and I now have a large vet bill for my other dog. I asked for a partial refund and they offered a full refund. I really appreciate it. read more

Good location, helpful staff, and they carry all the brands you want. However, they often seem to run low or are out of stock on many things which, if you are a cat person... you know it can be problematic. (They like what they like! ) Overall- this tends to be my "go-to" for in store shopping. Plus, sometimes they have kitties in the store, too! read more

I've taken my puppy and a previous dog, several times to Petaluma PetSmart. The groomer, Sam is the most conscientious and skilled groomer I've ever used. The rest of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They'll get right down on the floor with you sizing a harness for your dog. I would recommend them, and have, to anyone. read more

I like this pet store very much. The staff is great. I feel welcomed and remembered when I do shop there. They have a real good selection of cat food that is quality, in fact it is less expensive than other pet stores in this area. They remenber that I have a cat and ask how she is. I got a 20gl tank here for $49 compared to Petco's $100! Josh was very kind and answered all of my extensive fish questions. He helped me pick out all the products I needed and even recommended products he liked from online stores that PetSmart didn't carry. He was kind and carried my tank and supplies to the register for me. I went home and did more fish research and came back for more supplies and PetSmart was my first place to go after my great experience with Josh. Thanks again! :) read more

It's a Petsmart. It's well stocked with higher end products and grain free carnivore foods. It's clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. They have an a small area for pet adoptions. It's pretty much like other Petsmart stores. That's a good thing as they are usually decent pet supply stores. read more

We recently got a fluffy Pomeranian whose previous owners didn't keep up on his grooming. We made an appointment at the Petaluma petsmart for their full service package, as he NEEDS a sanitary trim and dematting. We let them know ahead of time that he gets a little "growly" and grumpy when you mess with his butt area. I can't imagine he's the only one like that. She informed us that it would take about 3 hours, so we took off to do some shopping. It couldn't have been more than 10 mins later that I received a call saying that he was growling when they were trying to trim around his butt, and that she wasn't going to continue! She told me I should go to a private groomer who has better equipment or to a vet that will sedate him and groom him? Wtf?! I feel like she didn't even try. It was literally 10 mins, some growling and a phone call. I would imagine a real groomer would have some techniques to make a grumpy dog comfortable, or at least be able to restrain a dog while working on uncomfortable areas. Total waste of time! Unless your dog loves clippers for some reason, don't even bother. What a joke! read more

Walked in today to get some cat toys. As I walked in, I figured they were speaking to a customer so no one greeted me except for a hello from one of the workers after I said hi. No one asked if I needed any help, or any assistance. As I went to check out, the huddled group of all the workers on shift, talking, separated and moved to another part of the room. I wish I read reviews before I came to get my dog groomed from this PetSmart. I got my dog back and AFTER I paid, the groomer tells me she was unable to cut my dogs front paw nails? Why would she tell me that after I paid??? And I also paid extra for her teeth cleaning, but her teeth still had gunk in it! I paid extra for that service as well. I ended up having to go somewhere else to get her re-groomed!! This PetSmart grooming in Petaluma has very poor service and doesn't even do they're job!! I mean what are we paying for if you can't even groom our pets right????? read more

I took my dog in for grooming and am really disappointed. She had some matting but previous groomers (at other places) were able to work around it and give her a great cut. The groomer at Pet Smart promised that she would so the same but when I picked my dog up, she had been shaved her down to the skin. It seems lazy and disrespectful to be honest. Why would I pay over $100 for a job I could have done? Aren't these people professionals? Super frustrating and really upsetting. read more

Amazing staff that works here. They are always happy, talkative, and so loving towards my dog when I bring him in. Even if my dog isn't with me, they still ask about him and tell me to bring him by soon. The grooming salon is great too, they have always been accommodating to me whether its a walk in or I call ahead. Great selection of brands, and the rewards program they have is great as well. Definitely my favorite place to shop for my pup. read more

Vanessa is fantastic! I bring my pitbull to get her nails trimmed. Vanessa truly cares about Honey and is so patient with her when she gets wiggly when she tries to trim her back nails. I really appreciate having someone who cares about my dog and does a great job too. Honey is always so excited to see Vanessa and gets a toy for being a good doggy. I brought my small dog in for a grooming. He had been there once before. The groomer did a great job on his body but was not able to cut around his eyes and mouth as she said he was biting her. I have had Louie for years and the place I took him to before closed down. Never was there a problem with him biting anyone... So anyway she does not cut around his eyes and sends him home. The poor guy fell down 4 stairs before I realized what was wrong. He was walking into things because he COULD NOT SEE!!!!!! What is wrong with Pet Smart to not at least cut the hair around his eyes. He could have fallen down my 10 stairs instead and I would have sued Pet Smart for their neglect if he got hurt. Anyway they cancelled all upcoming appointments, so my little Louie has been 86'd from the shop.... PS: I had no problem trimming the hair around his face.... Bad, Bad, Bad.... read more

I was given a gift card to Petsmart and although I prefer Pet Food Express I thought I'd give it a try. I went in looking for mental stimulation toys to bust doggy boredom and these people knew NOTHING. I asked two different employees for help. They didn't even know which toys were interactive let alone what treats to put inside. After I figured it all out myself I rang up and the checker didn't even say thank you. Wow. Although I have experienced some issues around grooming appointments at this store, I would like to recognize the store's new manager (I believe her name is Tanya). She was very professional in dealing with a difficult situation and very calmly listened to my concerns. I have experienced similar issues at the Rohnert Park store, but will never go back. The first time we took our little Chloe there, she was cared for by Grace and she was amazing. Right away she took to Grace. Today, we got Kate. And the results were the same. Chloe was at ease and took to get right away. We are now regulars. read more

This is not the best pet store to visit in town if you have aquatic pets, reptiles, birds, or basically anything other than a cat or dog. This PetSmart is at a very small location, and this makes their stock very limited. If you need the basics for your fish/bird/reptile, they have most of them (probably). read more

Last week I brought my 16 month old Labrador retriever in for grooming. I explained to Sam, the groomer, that she smelled bad and needed a good washing and a comb out. I got her home and I could tell that the top of her back was washed but apparently nothing else as she still smelled and her coat was on the rest of her body was flat to her skin and smelled bad. Also within a day she was shedding massive amounts of hair which means she was not brushed or even blow dryed as both would have eliminated all the excess hair. I called to speak to the manager but she was insistent that everyone else is happy with the groomer. I am extremely dissatisfied. I would strongly suggest that no one else use them as Sam did an extremely inadequate job of grooming my dog and the manager should have said, "I am sorry to hear that we will be happy to correct it". Will not be going there again. Extremely poor customer service in every way. read more

TERRIBLE "customer service"! Had an online order to pick up. Walked in - NO one at the registers, no bell to call anyone. The door had a single buzz that was obviously ignored. Finally I started wandering around the store. First employee I saw also saw me and I called out "hello" to which the response, after looking up and seeing me, was to walk another direction. When I tried to follow her down a parallel aisle I spotted another employee whom I asked if anyone was working the register. The gruff reply was "yea" so I finally got help. Store should also be classified as a PetSmart "lite" VERY LIMITED stock. The only reason I ordered here was that the local store in Rohnert Park didn't have my entire order. read more

They don't have a refrigerated dog food section which was what I really needed. They said it's because they're a small store I will have to go to Rohnert Park for wet food. No I'll just go to rivertown feed when my schedule allows it. Also never take your dog to be groomed at chain petfood stores. Just a tip. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I was so pleased with the wash service I had to write something. I was little nervous as my golden had never been to a groomer before, but Vanessa did an excellent job and my dog's coat hasn't been this soft since he was a little puppy. Took about two hours and the results were great. I plan on visiting this service again. read more

Going there for pet food, but this place overcharges with price scanner errors. You cannot see the prices being rung up, and don't know until you get the receipt in your hand. If interested in having it made right it needs to be investigated; then you have to wait until the manager is available and go through the whole merchandise return process. Pet Club treats customers better; has better employees. read more
