I recently adopted a senior Cavalier named Cash. Over the past week or so, I noticed that Cash was scooting his butt around the house. Work and life have been hectic, so I appreciated being able to take Cash in for an anal gland expression without needing an appointment. Since we were already there, I asked the groomer to opine on if he needed a nail trim as well. She agreed that he did, so we added on the "pawdicure" package, which included a nail trim and grind, and also a trim of his paws. Cash's whole grooming process took about 30 minutes while I wandered around the store. His groomer was Steph, who was actually an apprentice. She did a fantastic job with him and made sure to follow his lead to avoid stressing him out. This was very important to me as Cash has heart disease. When it came time to pick Cash up, it seemed like the whole grooming salon interacted with him in some way and everyone was so sweet to him and gave him all the attention and affection. Of note, we also adored Julie the cashier. She was so friendly when we entered the store and when she checked me out for Cash's grooming fees and for the toy I purchased him. Cash loved her too because she had a generous supply of beef liver treats at the ready--his favorite! This isn't my regular PetSmart, but I think it is now! read more

I showed the assistant manager the hair and I took a picture and sent it to corporate. No Mats She was just trying to add charges. I have used this Petsmart for my Great Pyrenees Bear. For grooming, now he's a big boy 116 lbs. I have been happy with their grooming. After dropping him off about 7 AM this morning, he told me it would take about four hours about 930. I received a call saying he was ready because he kept crying and it was taking too many people to take care of him because he kept laying down. I think he's been hurt. Somehow I'm not for sure how but he's limping and whining a little bit . Just I wish they would've contacted me at the get-go cause I think something happened. Just not for sure what. read more

Drove to this location as we were told they have more fish then others, now I know why! The employee that serviced us refused to sell us a fish because we didn't meet her criteria to purchase a fish! I told her we had a starter kit of 1.5 gallon and she literally said no to all the fish! We asked her how about the beta fish in those 8 ounce cups she said those are fine but I'm not recommending it you need a 10 gallon tank for betas. Idk what's going on with that employee but we have always purchased our beginners fish at petsmart for our preteens. The PetSmart grooming team at Lake Pleasant are the best! I wanted to change my bath and brush to a full cut with Furminator at the last minute, and they fully accommodated me. My dog Sophie has always been bad with nail trims and when she wouldn't let them grind her nails, they took off the extra charge. Top level customer service! It was my first time getting the Furminator treatment and it made a huge difference. It's like a whole layer of my dog is gone, in a good way! 10/10, would recommend for anyone with a dog that sheds heavily. read more

Will be spending my money elsewhere. I went into the store to buy seasonal fish tank decor and left with frustration. I went to checkout and the items I was purchasing were discounted too .02, the associate refused to sell it. I thought it was a one off so no big deal but they refused to sell multiple items. I said this seems like a them issue and said other companies honor their mistakes. They have an entire shelf of the items out. I could have moved forward if the cashier wasn't so rude! I recently purchased two new fancy goldfish to add to my aquarium they ended up having the ick and gave it to my current goldfish. The whole tank became sick which also led to tail rot and all four fish died within a week. I tried the ick treatment, it didn't work. I am so sad. Had I not purchased from this location my fish would still be alive. Get better employees who take better care of the fish and don't sell fish with diseases. read more

Had my dog Kooper to be groomed by Tesa. Tesa has always has done a great job grooming Kooper. This time Tesa groomed Kooper, once I got Kooper home I noticed lines all over him. My dog went to doggy daycare for 8 years. He got bit once & I asked to see the video & they ignored my request. He got bit recently & they said a dog got jealous because he jumped up on one of the employees & went after my dog. They called & took him to the vet & said he had two bites. They told me it was one bite. That dog must have had a large mouth. When he got home he had a huge bite on his back shoulder which they & the vet missed. They say you can sign on to see videos of the rooms but I've never been able to get it to work. When I asked them to see the video of the incident they said they'd have to check with management & get back to me. They never did so I called & they said their attorneys would have to approve me viewing the video of the incident. Still never heard back. They say you can sign on to see your dog and yet if your dog gets bit you can't view the video. My dog loved going there for 8+ years but I'll never bring him there again. Also in several occasions an employee, Tara, said Toby was dirty & must have been hiking. It was 110 degrees & we don't hike in the Summer. He was very clean as he swims in our pool 1-2 times a day. These comments continued on several occasions. I was offended by her comments as my dog is my pride & joy & I'd never let him get dirty or not manicured. The customer service was so good when I first started bringing my dog there. The last 2 years have been terrible. You wait forever for someone to come to the desk to check your dog in and/or out. I got lectured once because I pushed the button to request an employee twice. Nothing happened the first time so I pressed the button again. read more

I ordered curbside pick up. employee brought order to car and said she had to substitute my dogs food as they were out of what I ordered. I responded substitution was not okay and that I should have been contacted to approve or reject the substitution before making the trip. Employee said they couldnt do that And I would have to go in store for refund. I replied, if I could go in the store I would have done so for the purchase. I try not to go to PetSmart because it's overpriced and service is horrible, but I was nearby and needed some things for my son's Guinea Pig. Once I found what I needed I went to the counter. There was no one to be found. Waited a few minutes and two employees walked by, didn't stop to say anything just looked and said where's so and so which I'm guessing was who was supposed to be running the register. Soon another customer came up behind me. The girl working the register finally came up, didn't apologize just started to ring me up, um ok lol. My toy poodle is 8 years old and has never come away from a grooming looking so terrible. Plus we were charged $107. We paid extra to have his nails ground down. They don't even look like they were cut. I asked for clean feet . His feet look flat, like a camel's. Instead of being groomed, he was shaved. I wish I could show a before and after picture to show you just how awful a job this groomer Robin did on him! They should have had to pay us for how awful he looks! You could not pay me to step foot in this PetSmart again. In fact, I don't think I'll ever feel good about stepping foot in another PetSmart anywhere again! We took our girl for bath and cut. She was getting pretty fluffy and swims in pool a lot, so wanted short cut for summer since she is thick curly haired. Johna was her groomer and did a fantastic job, I didn't really have time to thank her. Great cut for swimming and Johna clipped tail perfectly- couldn't be happier. My friend use to bring her puppy but after what I've been seeing and how the puppy had been acting we'll never be back. I only ever see one guy actively taking care of dogs. Took my golden retriever here for a basic wash/deshedding/nails but was hesitant to ask for any kind of haircut because I've heard so many golden retriever owners talk about groomers who don't know how to properly trim Goldens. Jennifer was our assigned groomer and she asked if I wanted his feathers thinned and just overall cleanup. When I expressed my concern she kindly assured me she knew how to groom Goldens correctly in a manner that I knew she was experienced. I just picked my pup up and he looks so good! Jennifer was busy grooming another dog when I arrived but she let me know what a good boy he was (since it was his first time there and can get nervous & excitable in new situations, I'm glad to know he was good for her). He is calm and happy, looks the best he's ever looked and so handsome! Jennifer is going to be my go-to gal for grooming. Very pleased and relieved! read more

If I could rate this petsmart negative stars, I would. Today I took my dog into petsmart for his grooming appointment. All went well, had my sister pick up my dog, just to get home and see a chunk missing out of his nose... Danielle was his groomer and she did not mentioned the chunk she took out of his nose.. This is dog abuse and the most unprofessional treatment I have ever received for my poor pup. Also, he wasn't walking on his right paw and when I touched it, he yelped. I regret taking him here to suffer at the hands of these idiots that clearly can't do their jobs right. The sad part is I even made sure my sister tipped her good. Go to Petco, I'm sure you won't have employees abusing your dog. I'm just curious as to why I wouldn't receive a call about my dog being hurt? We took in four miniature Shih Tzu's for grooming at Lake Pleasant Drive in Peoria. They did a fabulous job grooming, our pets and getting them done quickly. However, the problem I have is that we were given one price and charge a totally higher price . We were told it would be $71 per dog for the ultimate treatment. And that we would receive $10 back at the cash register which brings a total of $40 deduction. When I disputed the bill they told me one of my dogs cost $25 more than the $71 that they originally told me. And the reason is special shampoo. But I wasn't told about that in the beginning when the prices were first discussed. This is called bait and switch. 71×4 comes to $244 not $344 for some reason $100 added somewhere. When I contacted the grooming salon, they said they discussed it with my wife and I. The $96 extra for one dog was never discussed. They do not give you a bill when you pick up the dog it's already at The register, so you have no time to overlook it. So my suggestion if you take your dog to this Petsmart grooming salon on N. Lake Pleasant Dr. in Peoria, beware, check your bill and refuse to pay it until it's exactly what they said it would be. I am not done with this. I will take it up the to the district office. read more

I'm very shaken up and appalled by my experience with the salon. I brought my large breed dog in for a simple nail trim and told them he's had double ACL surgery and has some separation anxiety. The one girl drug him up to the table and tried to pull him by his front paws to get him up and he fell pretty bad. Didn't think to do a team lift until after that. He was visibly upset and shaken up but they didn't seem to care. Nor did they apologize for ignoring me or my dogs needs. Will not be coming back. read more

The groomer at petsmart said yes, they are both scheduled. Took my dogs on the day of the appointment and they were no where to be found on the schedule. This Petsmart has great staff but they are way understaffed. I went in a week ago and there must've been 30 people half of which were in line probably more and only two people at the register with one person in the store helping customers. They are doing great business but are always understaffed and I feel bad for the kids working there running around. The store is also doing a terrible job executing their curbside program. I ordered curbside and didn't receive my fulfillment email until 24 hours later even though the website says that if you put in the order two hours prior to closing Tyndale fulfill it. Then when I got there they told me they didn't have that product even though their email said my order was ready. Again, the workers there are great, but it also seems like they're always frustrated and unwilling to take ownership of the systemic chaos that is inherent in the Petsmart system. I was very disappointed in the grooming we had done on our pup a few weeks ago. We brought her in for a bath, cut and nail grind. The mail grind and bath were fine but they barely cut her. They called to say that she was squirming too much and it wasn't safe to finish the haircut. I guess I understand that but i don't think I should have still been charged $70. Except they didn't have the most important thing from our order actually in stock, and couldn't really be sure if it was in stock at other locations. Waste of time. I'm highly disappointed in Petsmart Grooming. I took my labordoodle in for her appointment to get groomed and about an hour later they called and said due to the matting in her ears they can't wash or cut her. The rep said i need to take her to the vet for them to shave her ears. I highly disagreed but i asked if they can wash and cut the rest of her, which she explained they can not do so. This was a couple days before Christmas with every grooming being packed. I immediately took her to our vet and the doctor laughed and said her ears are fine. I am in Petsmart a lot, mainly because I need to drop off my dog to stay at the hotel, but also to buy my dog & cat food. Everyone at the hotel is so nice and loves my dog! After traveling for a month, our large 10 year old Labradoodle, Ace, was in need of a bath and haircut. We normally use PetSmart in Sacramento, so comfortable using another location. Using the app, the nearest PetSmart appt was 9 days out, so searched and booked the N Lake Pleasant Pkwy location with next day appts available. Overnight I reviewed poor reviews for this location so cancelled the appointment. Jennifer, groomer, called and we explained the poor reviews and reason for canceling. I was impressed by her kindness, so rescheduled for later that afternoon. All the gals were friendly and attentive. Jennifer did a great job, was knowledge and asked several questions on what we wanted for him. He came out great! Would totally return!! read more
