    My dogs sick
    Gaby M.

2/3/2025-After today I may not be taking my dogs back to Camp Bow Wow. My youngest came home with an upset stomach he vomited and had the runs. The staff changed their food. The food we came back with was not the same. 2/10/2025-I have tried contacting camp bow wow to no answer. I had to take a dog to the er. Now he is doing a little better but now the other is sick! I need to know what food and or treats we given. Here is a few photos one with my dogs id tag from the er the second Saturday.

We dropped off our dog Pear for the first time for full-day daycare after completing the Interview Day. The front desk appears welcoming and gives you the idea that it is a safe environment for your pet, and you are given access to live cameras. While the cameras are supposed to provide peace of mind, we found ourselves trying to pick our dog up as early as we possibly could based on what we saw. She loves people and other dogs, but I could see this facility completely altering her personality and temperament if we hadn't noticed these issues early on. The area she was kept in was clearly overbooked, with so many dogs on a hard surface pacing back and forth looking for a comfortable area to take a break. It is overstimulating to the point that we did not notice our dog engaging in any play. Any attempt to interact with a human was met with a staff member focusing more on holding a spray bottle to scold them for hardly doing anything at all. When we picked up our dog, she looked terrified and had her tail between her legs. She has car anxiety and until this visit, has never once walked to the car and has to be carried. Today, she walked on her own and jumped into the car and since then has not acted like herself at home. We also noticed shortly after bringing her home she has wounds on her body, that staff members either were completely unaware of (due to the lack of supervision) or didn't care to notify us about. If you think this is a good fit for your dog, I suggest looking more into it and taking a look at the webcams and then deciding if it seems like a good environment for them to be in. Update: we have now reached about 24 hours since picking up Pear and this afternoon she vomited 8 times in a two hour period and is now making an emergency trip to the vet. This is a result of our dog spending only 8 hours at Camp Bow Wow.

There is a reason we ended our vacation early. We will not be bringing our baby here again. We were VERY nervous about being away from our puppy for the first time, especially given his timid personality. We were entrusting the whole staff at Camp Bow Wow to provide a safe, fun, and clean environment for our puppy. We immediately learned that we chose the wrong place. After spending so much time locating our little guy via the webcam due to possible overbooking, the observed handling of dogs was very concerning. When we got our little guy home, we found that he was bloated, had diarrhea, and had swollen, very irritated paws. We would have liked to be informed of this by the staff during his stay, whether it was caused by stress or something else. We let the staff know before hand to not hesitate to reach out to us about anything at all while we're on vacation. We understand minor scrapes and different bowel movements are normal when surrounded by other dogs and in a new place, but Bodhi's current state does not seem okay. Although the Camp Bow Wow staff was very nice and knowledgeable in person, most of the staff seemed uninterested in actually playing with any dogs or pairing based on personalities, etc. When calling for an update on the first day, they said he was doing great and to check their Facebook for pictures that never came. We are currently getting ready to take Bodhi to an emergency vet to give him much-needed relief. We are not interested in a reply to this review with any excuses, requests to contact you regarding this experience, or any apologies. We simply want to post our candid experience for others who are considering day camp or boarding here.

they said his runny nose started when I picked him up at 5:30 p.m.

Boarded my dog for 7 days upon leaving him we were not informed that he would not be going outside. We did watch on the camera and noticed there were alot of dogs inside all day. Upon picking him up he clearly was sick and had thick yellow snot coming out his nose and drainage from his eyes. His breathing was labored, no energy, lethargic and would not eat. He was diagnosed with kennel cough. When I reached out to camp bow wow I was told "He didn't have a runny nose until the day he was picked up. We should have wiped his nose and informed you when he was being brought up to you and that is our fault." There is no way that I picked my dog up at 5:30 p.m. and at that very moment he was sick. I tried to leave a google review but somehow they have erased it. I understand dogs can get sick when they are in close quarters with other dogs but we should have been notified prior to his departure. Also he was stuck in doors with 15-20 other dogs for 7 days and of course they are not accepting any responsibility or accountability. I tried to post pictures to this review but was unable to do so

I am Cookie, I am a 1& half old goldendoodle and I love Camp Bow Wow in Avondale.

We found Camp Bow Wow and have been taking Cookie there for more than a year. The prices are reasonable and the staff shows care and warmth toward her. Little extra things like her picture means so much!

Highly recommend! Thank you for taking care of my puppy when I was away. I even got a holiday present from them. See below

She looked and smelled great. We were also offered a free day at their daycare, so we decided to give it a try. It was fantastic! So convenient and a relief to know that she was well taken care of. My dog has a lot of energy, but when we picked her up, she was completely worn out. I could tell that she played all day long and had a blast. Highly recommend Hounds Town for grooming and daycare !!!

They are especially pleasant to interact with and have a competent team behind their business who readily smile to greet you when you arrive, both, to drop off your dogs and again at pickup. Thank you for always taking the time to engage with our children and make them feel as though they matter too and are equally welcome in your business. Additionally, they have made my elderly mother feel like family. When asked, they now even assist her out to her vehicle with our dogs. We have purchased a package for multiple visits at Hounds Town as they are, by far, the best doggie daycare facility we have found in the west valley. Believe me, we have looked far and wide. Use my time searching and my research to your advantage. Skip the nonsense and go straight to Hounds Town. You'll be pleased you did.

Every Doggie Has Its Daycare - Inside Play area

    Every Doggie Has Its Daycare

    (85 reviews)

I did a search online looking for a local dog daycare for my mom's German Shepherd. This was the…read moreclosest one I could find to her. It's located in Peoria, AZ which is northwest of Phoenix. It is near Bell Road and the 101 making it accessible for people like me traveling from nearby cities. The facility is in an industrial type zone. The building is sort of a large warehouse that is shared by several businesses. The backside has large garage type doors. I only know this because Google Maps led me to the back (south side) of the building initially. The map has been updated to hopefully prevent others from getting lost looking for the entrance which is on the northeast corner of the building. Every Doggie Has Its Daycare has applications online that you can download, print, and complete. The information provided online makes it easy for you to prepare for your first appointment. You'll need the latest copy of your dog's vaccination records including Bordetella. Plus, you will need the paperwork showing that your pet was spayed or neutered. Even though my dog has a tattoo indicating that she was spayed, the paperwork was required. I appreciate that the business has high standards and requests these records. It lets me know that patrons of the business care for their dogs and that my dog will be in a healthy and safe environment. Before allowing your dog to use their services, you will need to schedule a free, 3-hour temperament test. This allows the staff to assess your dog's energy level and comparability with other dogs. Based on this, your dog will be paired accordingly for future play groups. Please note, some dog breeds are not allowed due to insurance policies of the business. While the facility does not offer a webcam remotely or on site, the staff do actively take and post photos of the dogs on the business Instagram and Facebook pages. They post pictures pretty much every hour and try to capture every new dog entering the facility during that hour. Once your paperwork is in order, the temperament test has been completed, and your dog has been approved for services, you can start bringing them to daycare or make appointments for boarding services. Daycare doesn't require advanced bookings. I love that you can bring your dogs in and drop them off at the spur of the moment for a half or full day of play. This is so convenient for those days when you have extra work or maybe aren't feeling well enough to give your dog the exercise and attention he or she needs. My dog needs socialization on a weekly basis. She hangs out with humans daily all day, but benefits from the play and mental stimulation she gets from daycare. She always comes home relaxed and tired from her time at the facility. The facility is temperature controlled so your dog can safely enjoy play during the hot summer and cooler winter days. They do have access to an outdoor area too. It has high walls, so there is no chance of escape. You can pre-purchase packages of half day or full day passes to daycare. So far, I have just been paying as I go which is also acceptable. It's about a $40 saving if you buy the package, but you have to use it within 90 days. They take all credit cards. It's important to note that late pickups will be charged $1 per minute! That's a good incentive to make sure you arrive before they close at 7pm during the weekdays to collect your dog from daycare. I've booked a boarding reservation during the holidays. There is a deposit required during this time period because of the increased demand for services. They ask that you bring your dog's food measured out for each meal in ziplock bags. They provide everything else your dog needs for the overnight stay, but you are welcome to bring your dog's bed or blanket that provides familiar smells and will help your dog adjust easier. Also included in boarding is daycare. There is no extra charge for this ensuring your dog gets lots of exercise during the day so she can get a good night of sleep too. I'm delighted that I found this business. The staff have been super friendly in-person and on the phone. Their website has detailed information so you can get your questions answered, but call or stop by if you need additional information. I'm certain you will get the details you need and feel assured in your decision to leave your furry family member in their care.
