This Petsmart is awesome. They gave my dog a beautiful haircut. I normally go to a different Petsmart by my home but they were not available today. I got really lucky. I just want to say thank you thank you and more thank you to the Petsmart on John Young Parkway. kudos to you

Alyssa and Lorina were the most unhelpful bunch I've ever encountered I went to return or exchange a type of dog food that made my dog sick full bag and they basically told me to piss off when I asked for an explanation they just said it's policy mind you on the damn bag it says return to store that you purchased from!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!!!

Visiting from NYC, this is the largest pet shop I have ever been to. They have everything under one roof: pet food, pet clothes, pet grooming, pet training, even a pet hospital on premises! If you don't have a dog, no problem....they have a pet adoption center too!

Still waiting. I was told to pickup my dog at Banfield inside Petsmart. I was here before everyone. But customer after customer was being helped. Not sure why they called and said your dog was ready for pickup and he is not ready. We are in a world of uncertainty due to COVID. Before you ever come here to pickup your pet you should reverify everything is fine

There is usually a line...just one register open.

This PetSmart is the one I tend to shop the most since it is closer to my home. So, I've been shopping this store for a few years now. Its your basic, PetSmart store with a grooming salon, training area and veterinary services. Many moons ago, we used to bring our Shih Tzu's here for grooming but decided to use an individual groomer when our pups seemed to be acting weird after being picked up. As they are not crated at home, it might have been a bit of an upset for them to be waiting in cages until it was their turn for be groomed. (Sometimes they waited a couple of hours, then after grooming, they went back in the cage. ) However, those are just my dogs ... and they are a bit spoiled as I try to keep them as happy as possible. I also am very aware of their need for "potty" with smaller bladders ... so, that can be an issue as well. I have also used this location for basic training and it was pretty good! So, yippee for doggy training! (I also love to walk by when they have a class in session and see all the pup-pup's learning their tricks!) On most of my visits, the place is quiet and they only have one cashier available. However, when its time to check out, there is always a line. You will see other staff members walking around or talking to each other, yet, they only have one cashier. Its a bit frustrating because it seems to take longer than a average check out due the the phone number questions, the donation questions, the discount questions, etc. (I'm not complaining about the discounts at all, btw!!! I love them.) Also, I have found that many of their items are not stocked if you are looking for certain things that you might see online or that have markers in the aisle but never seemed to be there (certain shampoo, ear wipes, harnesses, etc.) If its a popular item, you might have to opt for another choice as this has been the case many times I've visited. They do always have the food well stocked though! So, its your standard PetSmart. If you are looking for basics, this store will do!

I was an evacuee out of Key West, Florida with my two beloved Companion pets, Poe and Dro, (Chow Chows). We were fortunate enough to secure a hotel room in the sunny Orlando, Florida. Extra fortunate when we located your PetSmart which included Grooming Services. Since we choose to live 90 miles off the coast of Cuba, both my boys get a specialty cut known as a LION CUT because of the extreme heat and humidity down in Key West, Florida I made my appointment for a Saturday morning. We met with your Groomer named Elsie. She went over all the particulars including my dog's health certificates/ rabies shots along w listening to my concerns as to how I would like my boys groomed. The LION CUT w "V" and "Mohawk". After a few hours, I was more than pleasantly surprised to say the least. The bill was extremely reasonable and I was even given a $10 off coupon as a New Client. Next up - My two boys Poe and Dro. The LION Cut that Elsie worked hard to groom my Chow Chows into was perfect! Shaved to the exact length I had requested, ears cleaned, shiny sweet-smelling coats as well as all the HAND CLIPPING around their body was properly done so that the shaved and clipped part merged perfectly together. This is a highly specialized cut not every groomer knows how to do it properly. I'm here to state that your Grooming Service employee named Elsie at store 0309 off of John Young Parkway in Orlando, Florida did an exceptional job!!! I have posted numerous pics of before and afters on my Facebook page as well as my boys have their own page you can see more of Elsies work. You can also see more of Poe and Dros delightful experiences throughout this entire ordeal with hurricane Irma. Facebook - KEY WEST CHOWS POE AND DRO Thank you again PetSmart. Thanks a whole bunch Elsie! Woof!

I have two very different, full of personality huskies and I always trust WoofTang 110%. I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) Bottom line, if you found this facility and you If you love your dog(s) you struck gold!! I have been bringing them since they opened their doors and I will be loyal to this team forever. Note: my dogs could attend our wedding BECAUSE of Lexi and Tai's training with them.

Kiko loves it here and I can rest easy knowing that he is safe and being looked after.read more

That's when I found Natural Instincts on a Google search and decided to give it a shot. I signed up for the agility classes. For 99$ you can attend agility class either Saturday or Sunday morning for 6 sessions. The sessions expire within 12 weeks so when Pepper had to take a break because she got spayed, it was absolutely no issue. The majority of the class is focused on doing the agility course, but they also practice other things such as proper leash walking. The owner runs the class but there are always atleast 2-3 other trainers around to help. Pepper loves agility! She is a couch potato at heart but when she's at agility class she is always having a blast running and just being around dogs. A lot of obedience classes and dog day cares unfortunately discriminate against pitbulls but at Natural Instincts they are extremely bully friendly. Oh and they always have someone with a professional camera taking amazing pics of you & your dog. It's definitely nice having all these wonderful pictures of my dog (it's not like my camera isn't already full of pics of her). I have one week left from this 6 week package but I'll definitely purchase a new 6 week pass next class.

PLEASE READ IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING THIS FACILITY!…read more After giving my dog a month to readjust, I'm leaving an honest review of my experience. I chose this business because of its reviews and proximity. I explained that my German Shepherd puppy had service-dog potential but I couldn't train him myself due to health reasons. The owner seemed knowledgeable, so I invested over $2,400 for their basic obedience board-and-train. From the start, there were red flags. The contract included extra charges--such as several hundred dollars for potty training--despite those services being advertised as included. They also charged a mandatory $55 bath fee. (This is important later on) During his stay, communication was minimal and our dog rarely appeared on their social media until we specifically requested more updates. At pickup, the trainer demonstrated commands using a prong collar fitted far too loosely and incorrectly. When my puppy hesitated, the trainer harshly snapped the leash, making him yelp, cry, and visibly shut down in fear. Despite this, he continued applying hard corrections until he got up from the ground. After returning home, we discovered they never gave back his collar and he smelled strongly of urine and feces, despite the bath charge. While settling him in after bathing him ourselves, we also found a 5-6 inch injury on his thigh. A vet confirmed it was rope burn and that he also had a staph infection--both of which occurred during his time there. None of this was disclosed to us when it happened or at the end of his stay. Previously, they had refused to give me a tour of their facility. After everything that happened, I contacted animal control to get more information. Anyone considering this facility should know that their animal control records are public and free to request. The reports include dogs dying in their care, kennels covered in feces and urine, roach infestations, unsafe kennel wiring, and reports of dogs yelping like they're being hit. From the notes, it looks like they often refuse access to animal control during surprise visits until they can temporarily clean their facility to meet code. The only positive was that my dog came back with a good heel and place. Nothing else with his training stuck despite daily reinforcements of what they taught him since being back. Cons: Collar not returned Returned dirty and smelling of urine/feces despite bath fee Upcharged for services listed as included Came back with a staph infection Came back with a 5-6 inch rope-burn injury Now fearful of men raising their voices Had to provide all his food/treats (You'd think with board and train, the price would cover that?) Pros: Good heel and place

Richard was pleasant when we were potential clients and made us feel comfortable leaving our Shepherd in his care. I told Richard that my German Shepherd was skittish and afraid and very leery of men. After the first week I called for an update and his wife was abrupt, sharp and every time I tried to speak, she raised her voice and spoke over me. When I spoke to Richard, I asked for a picture of my dog to see her and they told me there would be a charge for a picture. Richard told me to watch the website and there would be pictures of her regularly. Truth is, they only post pictures of dogs that look happy and my dog, Daisy, was never happy so her picture was almost never on the website. Possibly 2 pictures in 10 weeks? A few weeks later, I got a call that Daisy "broke 2 kennels" and I had to pay for it. I don't believe that happened, Daisy was not aggressive. In the end, they charged me $8,000 for the training, the 2 kennels and an e-collar. I was overcharged for everything but had no recourse, I had to pay. When my dog came home, I took her to the vet because she was alarmingly skinny and more skittish and afraid than ever. The vet put Daisy on Prozac and told me she lost 21 lbs. I shared Daisy's "graduation video" with everyone at the vet's office and everyone agreed that she seems as though she was abused. Richard's training methods may work on some dogs but not all. He was determined to make Daisy comply to his methods and refused to alter, even when she kept losing weight and shutting down. Halfway through her training, he told me she is "stubborn and a bitch and he has had 1 other dog as difficult as Daisy". But even though his methods did not work, he never altered his training methods, and I believe he abused my dog to try and make her comply. He kept Daisy for 95 days, telling me he can't send her home till she "accepts and complies because she is a representation of him". In the end, after 95 days, he gave up. Richard and his wife and children run the business, and I would never recommend him to anyone.

He had completely changed his ways and it was great. I now felt more confident about taking him out in public and to restaurants. He also became more manageable on walks. Lindsay continued to text me weeks after the training to make sure there were no problems. I talked to John on the phone about the type of training he thought she would need. Just through the phone conversation I learned a lot about what he was able to do for our family but also for my pup. He gave me some advice over the phone that I could start practicing with her. Even though my zip code was a few miles out of what their website says they cover, he still was willing to travel down to my house for training. He has a package of 3 initial trainings(which he says is usually all most people need) and then additional ones if needed. I was looking around at petco/petsmart trainings but they did not seem like they'd be helpful since theres only one person with up to like 5 dogs and the things they were teaching seemed like stuff I could just find online myself. After our first hour and a half of private session and consultation, my little Ellie has shown tremendous( if not the most I've seen in this short amount of time) improvement! I also actually have a structure of a training regimen I can practice with her now until the next two sessions which are flexible in timing. ALSO, he brought toys, treats, and chews for Ellie to use for her training and to keep afterwards! Great surprise! HIGHLY recommend their in home training with John. He has extensive knowledge on training and understands the way dog's minds work and how they communicate which is very important when bonding and training your dog. It is also private 1 on 1 training so the whole hour and a half is all focused on your dog and it's needs unlike the retail store training. It is all positive reinforcement training so nothing negative! I am already confident that this was worth the time and money only after our first session and about as much as I would've spent on the petco or petsmart training! Sure it is half the amount of classes I'd be getting but the quality covers down. Not trying to knock the big chains, but the training just isn't the best out there. TIP: the phone # on their website was out of service as of 5/18/18 so I'd use their contact section to leave a message and they will call or email you back within a few days

He was able to observe their behavior and talk to us about different plans. Not only did he we feel confident in what he was talking about but we felt his compassion and devotion towards our babies. This is definitely not just a job for him but a passion. We opted to board and train both of them. Lily is our 3 year old. She WAS completely out of control. Lily had become quite aggressive and many times we couldn't even walk past her without her growling and jumping at us. I had been bitten by Lily a few times just putting her harness on her (drew blood once). Outside walking her had become more than a chore. She would jump on anyone that came near us and then started barking and showing aggression towards outsiders as well. Lily was in full control of our home and lives. I was at my end. Putter is our 2 year old. I was not planning on getting any training for Putter until my husband suggested it. Putter's issues WERE his walking me and showing aggression towards any other animals. Keep in mind Putter is only 10lbs. but had no fear towards a 100lb. dog. I had thought as long as I held on to him he would be fine. All in all both were out of control. On the day Paul came to pick them up all I could do was cry and almost backed out (Thank God I didn't). Paul was amazing with keeping us updated on their progress. Over the course of the 2 week training he would text us to let us know how they were and we received many pictures and videos. We always seemed to have questions (I have to admit now some were pretty silly). Paul without hesitation answered all of them. Lily and Putter are home and for the first time in a LONG time we are enjoying them. The first couple of days we were a little nervous trying to maintain what they had learned but again Paul never let us down. They tried to revert back to their old ways but Paul trained us as well! What we also really love is Paul is not done with us. Not only is this a lifetime commitment for us but him as well. Lily has showed no signs of aggression and has stopped jumping on everyone. Putter no longer walks me and shows no aggression towards other animals. We are all so much calmer and happier now. They sit, stay, heel, place whenever asked. They are receiving positive attention now and are loving it. I can't thank Orlando Dog Wizard enough for helping us make our home happy again.
