As far as chain pet stores go, PetSmart is one of my top choices. They seem to always have all of the pet products that I am looking for and are conveniently open until 9:00pm almost every night. This location is also right next door to a Michael's, which is a bonus. My kitties enjoy that their rewards program allows them to also save money every now and then. I also enjoy that they let you cash out rewards even if you only have $1 available to spend, unlike most companies. read more

They did not have the Burt's Bees eye wipes that I was looking for at my neighborhood PetsMart so I stopped by this store. I could have chosen to have it delivered to my store as a free convenience but I decided to drive over. The store is clean and well stocked. Every PetsMart seems to laid out in the same format so I was able to find what I wanted very quickly. It was nice to see a sales clerk assisting customers on the floor while I was shopping. In addition to the shampoo I decided to pick up some more junk food treats for my dogs. The price was fair and they had the size bag that I like to purchase. read more

Came into the store looking for a particular fish but they were all sold. Oh well, so alge can grow another day. Picked up a beta instead. Help was a little hard to round up, but did manage. They both were helpful. Store no longer has aquatic plants in the aquarium, but now in individual containers. More expensive but cleaner and probably healthier, so good move on the marketing decision. read more

Denise was the WORSE! I'm just a little irritated, I brought in my dog for her first haircut today and I mentioned to them that I wanted her to be fluffy and to get that puppy cut where she doesn't lose her fluff and she is still fluffy-haired pop. What I get back is a rat. With no fluff! I don't care how I mentioned it but I know I said leave her fluffy this dog is not fluffy anywhere. So what I get is my sister bawling her eyes out. When I call to mention all they tell me as well we'll just have to notate it next time that you want her long haired. When I know I asked for a fluffy so if they could've fixed my grammar because I have never gotten my dogs haircut before then I could've fixed it then and said yes long-haired if that's what my fluffy means then yes long haired. I also find it interesting that when I did get my dog she wasn't even there to give her to me. She had somebody else give her to me. Doesn't that sound a little bit suspect???? I have taken my dog to the Grooming Salon at this Petsmart location a handful of times. Every single time I take him there is some issue. They either cut him so short that he gets razor burns on his penis, they either totally boch the cut. (Not a difficult hair cut AT ALL), or they injure him. He is about 90lb Doodle. Sweetest dog on earth, would never hurt a fly. And today upon my arrival for pick up (which they had called me and told me he was ready) they had "forgotten" to cut his nails and the ONLY REASON I took him in was to get his ears trimmed. Do you think they even touched his ears??? Nope. I had to tell the groomer myself "Did you even cut his ears?" it looked as not a single hair was clipped. So they told me to give them 15-20 minutes while they "fixed his ears" after about 10 minutes I get a phone call stating that "They don't know when it could have happened but that one of his nails ripped off and was bleeding active and they wanted to take him to a Veterinarian for evaluation." At this point I was irate. I told them give me my dog back and I gave management a piece of my mind. I did end up getting refunded for the horrid haircut they gave him and for them somehow ripping his damn nail off. But his face was also covered in bald spots. Just so unprofessional, not skilled at all. People trust in these "Professional Groomers" because if we could do it ourselves we would to save some money. $100 for a bath and cut and every time I pick up my boy from there I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the work. ITS YOUR JOB PEOPLE. Take some pride in your work. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this locations grooming salon to my worst enemy. I hope the grooming department reads this. Shame on you guys. I have an old story from May 2006 when I went into this Petsmart after work on a Friday evening looking for 2 kitties. We had just lost my Boots who was the last of 3 we had since 1986. Boots was 20 yrs old when he passed. When I stopped at this store there were 6 fur babies there up for adoption. On Sat. morning my wife and I went up to Petsmart to adopt a couple. We ended adopting 4 of the 6 there. We named them, Ben, Nutmeg, Minnie and Bebe. In Dec. 2011 we moved out west to NV. Our fur babies went w/ us as did a wild born feral we had trapped in Jul 2011. We lost Ben and Nutmeg in 2019 to stomatitus and kidney disease but we currently have 5 fur babies. Back in 2006 I was told that kitties came from the local animal shelter in Orlando. read more

Absolutely love this store. Staff is always helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I love that they have so many pet sanitation station for this times of accidents when your pet may get too excited during their shopping experience. I always check out the clearance section to find toys or cheap treats for my puppy. This is my go to pet store. read more

I love this store! I come here weekly as a volunteer for taking care of the cats. The staff are always extremely friendly and have helped me many times. When looking at some cat treats they gave me suggestions are the healthiness of various treats. I typically find their prices with the pet perks card are the cheapest around. read more

Petsmart Grooming Department: I've taken my poodle-spaniel mix, Lily, to Megan for a groom here for over a year and have had no problems. Recently, I found out that Megan was no longer on the list fo groomers at this particular Petsmart. When my boyfriend brought Lily home from her grooming appointment, we found a small triangular piece of skin the size of a dime missing from Lily's chest that was not there before! I immediately called the Petsmart back and asked how the wound happened, if it was treated, and why we weren't informed immediately. The groomer said that she wasn't aware of any grooming mistakes and that Lily didn't yelp when it happened, which seemed unlikely. The resolution was to take Lily in for a one-time visit to a veteranarian at the in-store Banfield on a complimentary basis to check the wound. Despite the quick resolution, I'm shocked that no one told my boyfriend and I up-front about the open wound that they obviously caused. We will never be taking Lily to be groomed here again, and are currently scouting for groomer recommendations in the area. There is a sense of personalization and bond of trust with a regular groomer that just cannot be built at a corporate Petsmart grooming facility. No doubt there are perfectly good groomers at this Petsmart just like any other, but after this experience, my trust has been lost. Update 07/25/2010: A very considerate manager on duty, Lee, made certain that Banfield gave Lily a complimentary visit to make sure the small wound was clean and free of infection. Kind Banfield nurses supplied a medicated ointment and antibiotic to help the wound heal and keep infection away. Banfield also offered the option for a follow-up vet visit in a week to re-check the wound, which was really above and beyond my expectations. Petsmart has done their best to make this right, and I will continue to buy pet supplies at this location, although I will not be using their grooming department in the future. Their Banfield vet service was helpful, quick, and thorough. read more

The guy was new at the register, he needed help. Geez it took forever to get out of that store. Whatever happened to service? This is my first of many visits here, pending the adoption of a new dog. The employee who helped me was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was just buying some of the normal essentials, so I'm sure I will return and have more to say. But I found things to be clean, neatly ordered on the shelves, and the staff to be friendly. My shopping adventure took place about two hours before closing on an early Sunday evening. Not too many people, but enough to not make it feel desolate. I'm very pleased with the items I bought, though spending more than I had hoped! But when buying a dog crate, bed, dishes, etc., that's to be expected. read more

The petsmart on John Young Parkway & Sandlake has a problem of making sure that food that is on shelves is not expired. The last 2 times I have found food, Royal Cain prescription dog food, expired on their shelves. The first time I brought it to the manager on duty and she said she would take care of the problem. The second time was the same problem. The problem is the person restocking the cans is not paying attention to the date of expiration and just stocking the product in front of the older product. The expiration date is located on the bottom of the can and if not careful, someone could feed their pet expired food, which could make their pet sick. read more

Terrible Petsmart. Customer service is practically nonexistent. The manager is super rude and will not give you a discount on visibly damaged merchandise. No signage and when you ask for help, the employees don't know where anything is nor do they seem to know anything about animals. read more

I recently got back into aquariums for the first time in many years. The staff here is very helpful and they have most products you'll need for your fish or other pets. The prices can be beat by Amazon or some other online stores but this location is convenient and the staff are pleasant so I don't mind giving them some business. read more

If I could give this place zero starts I would, Banfield appt was at 1045, it's 11:56 and I'm still sitting here with my dog waiting for someone to see us. All he needs is two shots and it's taking longer than it needs to take. The room smells like feet and there are no tiles it looks like they are renovating. The front desk receptionist is an old woman who seems to hate her job, if you don't like what you do then quit don't take it out on being completely rude to the customers. This is a wonderful store with caring associates who always go the extra mile to help customers. They always greet me and ask if I have any questions or need help finding a product. The groomers are very caring and do a beautiful job. They greet my pet by name and it is easy to see that they love animals. I am part of the Pet Perks program so I find that this is the best place to shop for a great selection of products at reasonable prices. read more

Zero Stars if it would allow me to give them none! I brought in my yorkie and my weiner dog for their grooming two weeks ago. I had been to this location before and haven't gotten the best service (uneven haircut, nails not trimmed when I paid for the service and my dog coming home with fleas). I decided to give this location one last chance...shouldn't have done it! We have small dogs, they are usually done in 2 hours. This time they were there for almost 4 hours. The yorkie didn't have an even haircut/shave and he had a cut on his leg. The groomer didn't even tell me that she cut my dog, I found the cut and she acted surprised since my dog didn't yelp during his grooming. They offered to have him seen by their vet, we didn't think that was necessary. We asked to have the service taken off our bill but the new manager wouldn't authorize it. I had to call the store at a later date to speak with a manager on duty in order to be reimbursed. I won't be using this location again. Plus, both dogs came back home with fleas when they didn't have them before they went there. Gross!! read more

Then he said they don't match online prices. I decided not to purchase the dog food and he laughed and told a customer in another line I was holding up the line. I brought my bichon frise to this particular location to be groomed. It is definitely overly price for a terrible job. My dog did not get the hair cut I told them to give him, and they cut him in so many places to the point where all those cuts got very sore and infected. I would not recommend them. read more
