I recently…read moreadopted my beautiful pitbull Pepper and I wanted to keep her active, healthy, and socialized with other dogs. That's when I found Natural Instincts on a Google search and decided to give it a shot. I signed up for the agility classes. For 99$ you can attend agility class either Saturday or Sunday morning for 6 sessions. The sessions expire within 12 weeks so when Pepper had to take a break because she got spayed, it was absolutely no issue. The majority of the class is focused on doing the agility course, but they also practice other things such as proper leash walking. The owner runs the class but there are always atleast 2-3 other trainers around to help. Pepper loves agility! She is a couch potato at heart but when she's at agility class she is always having a blast running and just being around dogs. A lot of obedience classes and dog day cares unfortunately discriminate against pitbulls but at Natural Instincts they are extremely bully friendly. Oh and they always have someone with a professional camera taking amazing pics of you & your dog. It's definitely nice having all these wonderful pictures of my dog (it's not like my camera isn't already full of pics of her). I have one week left from this 6 week package but I'll definitely purchase a new 6 week pass next class.

Since The decoy seminar, I have worked very closely with Tai and Lexi when it comes to obedience and bite work with dogs. Throughout the months, I got to see in person and through their social media pages that they are meant for this profession. They are able to work with all breeds and size of the dog does not matter. I have seen clients walk out the front door with smiles on their faces with their dogs are also really well behaved because of the work that Lexi, Tai, and also their trainer Max does daily. They had previously been boarded at another…read morefacility but they were fully booked and Woof Tang, while quite a drive, was highly rated and had the cameras for their rooms that we love to have. First of all the price is great in my opinion. Their facility has plenty of play space and the livery room we got was large. We always want, maybe even need, to be able to check in on them. While on past stays we would look and find them pacing and awooing all night. Something about this place made them zen. They looked out the windows, climbed and snuggled in their bed. We signed up for both of them to get a bath before pick up but due to some error with their system only our little guy got his, which was sad because if we had to pick we would have picked her. For our two dogs it was $115 a day for the luxury suite. When we arrived to pick them up we expected our Dachshund to scream like he does when we come home and our Auggie to go crazy and we were so disappointed when they came up to us like okay cool, summer camp is over? Not one cry or bark, no jumping or crazy tail wags. Next time we hope to board them for training. Our dogs would have required 3 weeks and that just didn't work for us right now.

As we begin to talk to Darrel, we begin to analyze and evaluate the person standing in our house due to his strange/ eccentric behavior and his way of speaking. There was an immediate concern and red flags began to go up in the beginning of our conversation. We were very concerned right out of the gate but we wanted to see where this conversation would take us. First we would like to say that Darrel tried to use a shock collar without our permission on our golden. I immediately stated to him "No Shock Collar as we do not condone fear training!" This is not humane nor recommended to build trust. Darrel asked if could take our golden down the sidewalk. I gave him the lead. Darrel began to pull our golden down the sidewalk slowly. Darrel then switched our halter lead for his Choke leash. Darrel then began to pull our golden with the choke leash. Our golden began to choke violently. I immediately spoke up and said "No More.. We're Done!" Darrel pulled upwards hard on the choke leash to get our golden to sit. This is extremely dangerous to the wind pipe of any dog so is not recommended. Hurting the dog is never an acceptable training method. His training methods are flawed and fear based. We didn't get a good vibe from Darrel at all. Also he asked to bring his dog into our home which is strange in itself. Needless to say won't be using his services. People.. please be aware of who you hire for training your pet.

When she became aggressive toward our older dog, we thought about taking her back to the shelter, but decided to try calling Darrel. I'm so glad we did! He had her behaving by the end of our first lesson, and she got better and better over the next month of working with her weekly. His calm demeanor is catching, and dogs respond so well. He also taught us a few tricks! After a mini-bootcamp, she was a different dog. Our two girls get along now, and we don't have to worry. I talked to John on the phone about the type of training he thought she would need. Just through the phone conversation I learned a lot about what he was able to do for our family but also for my pup. He gave me some advice over the phone that I could start practicing with her. Even though my zip code was a few miles out of what their website says they cover, he still was willing to travel down to my house for training. He has a package of 3 initial trainings(which he says is usually all most people need) and then additional ones if needed. I was looking around at petco/petsmart trainings but they did not seem like they'd be helpful since theres only one person with up to like 5 dogs and the things they were teaching seemed like stuff I could just find online myself. After our first hour and a half of private session and consultation, my little Ellie has shown tremendous( if not the most I've seen in this short amount of time) improvement! I also actually have a structure of a training regimen I can practice with her now until the next two sessions which are flexible in timing. ALSO, he brought toys, treats, and chews for Ellie to use for her training and to keep afterwards! Great surprise! HIGHLY recommend their in home training with John. He has extensive knowledge on training and understands the way dog's minds work and how they communicate which is very important when bonding and training your dog. It is also private 1 on 1 training so the whole hour and a half is all focused on your dog and it's needs unlike the retail store training. It is all positive reinforcement training so nothing negative! I am already confident that this was worth the time and money only after our first session and about as much as I would've spent on the petco or petsmart training! Sure it is half the amount of classes I'd be getting but the quality covers down. Not trying to knock the big chains, but the training just isn't the best out there. TIP: the phone # on their website was out of service as of 5/18/18 so I'd use their contact section to leave a message and they will call or email you back within a few days

Paul has literally changed our lives! We were living in a constant state of anxiety with Wade. After 8 weeks with Paul Wade is a totally different dog, and we are completely different dog parents. We are able to have friends and children at our house now and going on walks is actually enjoyable. He was able to observe their behavior and talk to us about different plans. Not only did he we feel confident in what he was talking about but we felt his compassion and devotion towards our babies. This is definitely not just a job for him but a passion. We opted to board and train both of them. Lily is our 3 year old. She WAS completely out of control. Lily had become quite aggressive and many times we couldn't even walk past her without her growling and jumping at us. I had been bitten by Lily a few times just putting her harness on her (drew blood once). Outside walking her had become more than a chore. She would jump on anyone that came near us and then started barking and showing aggression towards outsiders as well. Lily was in full control of our home and lives. I was at my end. Putter is our 2 year old. I was not planning on getting any training for Putter until my husband suggested it. Putter's issues WERE his walking me and showing aggression towards any other animals. Keep in mind Putter is only 10lbs. but had no fear towards a 100lb. dog. I had thought as long as I held on to him he would be fine. All in all both were out of control. On the day Paul came to pick them up all I could do was cry and almost backed out (Thank God I didn't). Paul was amazing with keeping us updated on their progress. Over the course of the 2 week training he would text us to let us know how they were and we received many pictures and videos. We always seemed to have questions (I have to admit now some were pretty silly). Paul without hesitation answered all of them. Lily and Putter are home and for the first time in a LONG time we are enjoying them. The first couple of days we were a little nervous trying to maintain what they had learned but again Paul never let us down. They tried to revert back to their old ways but Paul trained us as well! What we also really love is Paul is not done with us. Not only is this a lifetime commitment for us but him as well. Lily has showed no signs of aggression and has stopped jumping on everyone. Putter no longer walks me and shows no aggression towards other animals. We are all so much calmer and happier now. They sit, stay, heel, place whenever asked. They are receiving positive attention now and are loving it. I can't thank Orlando Dog Wizard enough for helping us make our home happy again.
