Horrible experience with the grooming department. Do not book with Nicole A. She is mentally unstable. I walk in to drop off my dog and a very nice lady greeted me. For some reason Nicole A. Started verbally abusing me for being 10 minutes early. Very confusing situation I have never been heckled by an employee for being 10 minutes early. I can only justify her behavior by saying she is mentally unstable. Sadly, the assistant manager, although very nice didn't seem to do much. I wouldn't trust this woman with my dog, she clearly has anger issues. read more

My Maltese mix has age warts randomly over his body. This is common with older dogs. My baby is 15 years old. I brought him in for a bath, haircut and nail grinding. ($78) The next day I noticed a wart on his shoulder was bleeding out. The groomer cut it while grooming. I called to complain and was told they needed to review the "video" and search the cage to find evidence of blood. I was then scorned with the advice that I should be more concerned with my dog's health by calling the vet rather than calling to complain. Never patronizing this establishment again. By the way, I did consult the vet and was prescribed neosporene. The store manager NEVER called back to address my concerns. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The people that work there act like they have never groomed a dog that barks. My dog has anxiety and barks because he is frightened. He has never bitten anyone and we have never had any problem with grooming services before. They didn't even give him a chance and they turned him away. If you have a dog that barks do not come here, I suggest to go to the Pet Smart in Tinley Park. read more

Karol is a LEGEND - look no farther for dog training. We weren't sure where to take our puppy for training, and immediately clicked with Karol. Her advice and knowledge about all things dogs -- especially during our puppy class -- have been invaluable. She is the dog whisperer, and the reason we've been taking classes for almost two years now -- not because our dog isn't well-trained at this point, but because we always learn something new (and, by now, Karol is basically part of our family). She's taught us how to be our dog's best advocate, and I just can't sing her praises enough. The other staff is great, too. Horrible customer service. Looking for help...worker talking to a dog owner. Looked for someone else. Had to walk all over. Found a girl. Asked if they had a specific prescription cat food and was told all prescription is in back. Walked back there. They did NOT have the one I asked for. Tried to find another worker just to make sure. She was STILL talking to the dog owner and not about the dog. Just chit chat. Completely ignored me. Never going here again. Go to Orland store people!!! They are SO HELPFUL!! This is literally the best Petsmart I've ever shopped at. The one in Crestwood near where I live is much larger, but the people working on the store in Mokena are kind, friendly and very helpful! I've been frequenting this one as I'm feeding some feral cats out that way. I'm always, I mean always greeted as I walk in and asked if I need direction. I've seen the manager interact with employees and I can tell they are treated well. I can't say enough about this store and I certainly don't understand the review that said employees are not friendly. Completely untrue. I've been in and out buying food and also using restroom (very clean) on my journey from Crestwood out to Mokena everyday. I wish the Petsmart out here was as friendly and helpful! read more

Over priced, Employees do a terrible job, place is dirty with pet hair out the door.. I have given this location//place numerous chances to groom my fur babies and they continue to disappoint me every single time. I brought my dog in recently to get a hair cut and my experience was nothing short of terrible. To begin with, the girl who was cutting my dogs hair was pretty rude. (My dog is the sweetest thing and is never scared of anything or anyone) and the girl tells me last minute that there's a "note" in my account saying my dog claws at the kennel and might need to be sent home this time if she does it again.. My dog only got irritated and scared because they keep them in there for a long time before they even begin to cut them. They always claim to be "busy" but there are multiple girls standing around doing NOTHING but chit chatting with one another every time I'm in there. I felt so anxious to leave my dog here after the girl taking care of me made me feel like my dog was going to be an issue... 4-5 hours go by like always and my dog was TERRIFIED when I picked her up. I have never seen my dog want to pull me so hard out the door. She clearly knows this place is bad and treats her badly. She is the sweetest most precious dog. There is zero issue with her otherwise. The employees here do not know how to take care of dogs and they need to learn to do a better job than the service they provide. $90 later, My dog was uneven and was beyond terrified. I will never take my dog back here. The place is filthy and the customer service is very poor. read more

I brought my shih-tzu in for a routine grooming service with a hair cut and bathing. The workers were extremely rough with the dogs that were being worked on, none of the dogs were being provided water and my dog sustained a cut that became horribly infected. She is still being treated with antibiotics from this and is at risk of losing her tail. Do not use this grooming service. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. I understand that people are short handed but communication goes a long way. I brought my dog for a nail trim on Wednesday and was told they closed early. So Thursday I left work early to make sure I was there before they left. I was then told no walk in after 5 and that they would do it this time. Then the grooming manager walked out and no, he had things to do. When I asked why the hours and no walk in after 5 rule was not posted on their website I was shut down. I was also told to go to another petsmart if I wanted a nail trim. I then asked for a store manager who basically told me oh well! I called corporate to complain about the time and gas money I wasted going there twice and they generously offered a $10 off $40 coupon. As of I would ever give them another penny. Terrible customer service and they wonder why people prefer to shop online with their competitors. They need to take a customer service lesson from them!! read more

I purchase all my dog food and supplies from this petsmart. Store is clean and in order. I like that they occasionally have pet adoption day. So many animals need good homes. Once the rep for the dog food we buy was in the store and gave out 2 50% off coupons. It was an awesome savings. Thanks petsmart! read more

Petsmart Grooming- I love Patrick (and so does my dog)! I followed him from Naperville, because he is just that good. If you have a giant dog, look no further, he is your guy. Every time Apollo (St. Bernard) is groomed, he looks amazing... consistent results. The best part, it will run you about $60! Our pets are of the freshwater species, two betas. Every time one of them checks out, the kids anxiously beg to go to PetSmart to replace it. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the store is very clean and well organized. There is always a big selection of pets to see, a lot of cats, which the kids love playing with and they keep their cages tidy. I like this location more than others I've been to and I think the major differentiating factor is a well trained staff that cares about customer experience. We will certainly be back after the next beta funeral, or possibly sooner, if the kids want to window shop some other furry pets! Keep up the great work. read more

I take my dog there for grooming and training. I have always had excellent experiences. My dog is large and dog aggressive after being attacked. He went through training classes just fine with the help of trainer Karol and got his CGC. The salon is always accommodating as well even though my dog does not like to be blow-dried, they take care of him in a safe and timely fashion. They even email me a photo when he is done! I recommend the Mokena PetSmart to anyone looking for a place to train, groom, or shop for their dog!!! 5/5 :) read more

The grooming area literally stinks in this store. The workers are NOT friendly ... the girls at the Orland Park petsmart are way more friendly and is cleaner. We ordered a bag of dog food online bcs my husband forgot his debit card - he was picking up after work. The cashier was beyond rude rolling her eyes and asking if we got the text saying the bag of food was ready ... which by the way I ordered at 11am and it was now 6pm and the food was on the shelf. She proceeded to roll her eyes when he explained he wasn't sure that his wife ordered the food and explained the situation. She acted as if he was a bother ... don't like dealing w customers? I've taken my dog to be trained here as well as groomed now. Training was great but I had some problems with grooming. There is one groomer that I will not mention her name but I don't think she's good with animals or friendly either. Whenever I walk in with my dog she rolls her eyes and gives me a nasty look and then looks away like I'm not even there because she apparently doesn't like my dog. This is very childish for a dog groomer in my opinion! There is a lady named Gosia (something like that) who is absolutely great with dogs! My dog doesn't like being groomed but she works great with her! She gives me advice on want to work on and what products I could buy but without acting like a pushy sales lady. You can tell she really enjoys working with dogs and knows a lot about them! I suggest you ask for her so you don't get stuck with the other girl. read more

The girls in the grooming department take SUCH great care of my little Reagan! There are SO many "fancy" little grooming shops around but I know at PetSmart they are taking care of my Poodle and he always comes home HAPPY and HANDSOME, which, as a pet owner, is the most important!!! read more

I can never remember the difference between the two Pets. But this one definitely has better prices. I walked in after being at Penny's and was just expecting to pick up some kat litter. Then I saw the prices and I had to go up from to get a cart. The sales prices and the larger quantity for the money. It was better than Walfart. I didn't think that you could do that. Woo Hoo! The store manager Debra was so sweet to me. She was nice enough to let my family and I meet a cat after hours when they normally let them be. An exception that didn't have to be made but she did and I am so grateful. Once she had heard that a different shelter had put a hold on a kitten and then took it away and adopted it to someone else, all she could do was hug me. I came in today to look for a hornworm for my leopard gecko. I had made sure to double check with the front cashier to open the box to make sure that the hornworm was alive because I have been having issues with dead hornworms when I returned home. She opened the box started to play within the box and told me that the hornworm was moving and everything was perfectly fine he was alive and well. It only takes me about 15 minutes to get home from that PetSmart. The hornworm went from inside of the bag to inside of my house. The only time the hornworm left the bag was when I went to go give it to my gecko. When I go to open the box there is absolutely no hornworm inside at all. I had double checked and made sure there is no possible way the hornworm had fallen out anywhere within my home or within my car. When I call to get this problem rectified the girl who lied to me answers then immediately puts me in hold when she recognized who I was. 5-6 minutes after waiting I was treated like a fool on the phone by another employee being told that I because I personally didn't look and double-checked it's my own fault and how I should be more careful. Why the employee decided to lie to me and physically act like I had a hornworm in the first place I have no idea, but I highly warn any still customers to please make sure your double-checking your boxes yourself because all the employees clearly do not care once you have left their store it's your problem. read more

I have used Petsmart grooming for several years but over the past 6 months it has been awful. My past 2 appointments have been added wrong and for some reason the price of my dog's hair cut has gone up $15 the past 2 visits even though she gets the same cut. The hair cut was done by a student with little to no supervision and it looked very bad. I complained to the staff and told them I am not coming back. Their reply was "Sorry to hear that". Today was the second time that I took my puppy to Petsmart for a Puppy Trim with the Top Pup Plus addition. The first time, I was given a written report sheet with notes that my puppy was a little wiggle worm, but I wasn't too concerned. Also, according to the add-on package that I paid for, he was supposed to get a bandanna and he did not. The second time around, my puppy again did not get a bandanna and this time I received no written report card. When I picked him up I was told reluctantly that he was "OK" after the crew was just gushing over the previous dog being picked up. I feel that I should truly receive what I paid for, and also should be given a more informative and caring report about my dog. I will probably not be going back to this Petsmart. read more

Prior to my last experience at this Petsmart, I really liked the store. The prices are generally better than anywhere else in the area, and the employees were, notice I say were, polite and professional. Last weekend, I had went to get my dog some more food, a tug toy, and a new food and water dish. I was surprised to see that a female employee was chasing a male employee with a doggy pooper-scooper. That female employee had also checked me out (Hailey), and the entire time she was talking to the male employee which she had been chasing. She had forgot to scan my bag of dog food that I had kept pointing to because she was too busy talking about non store related topics to her co-worker for me to even get a word in, and had to redo the entire order. I have never seen someone take as long as she did to check me out with only four items. Nor have I seen someone act so unprofessional in front of customers. I will never visit this location again due to this experience, congratulations Hailey you caused the Mokena Petsmart to lose a customer who comes in almost weekly! Now I have to find a different pet store. Very unhappy with this situation. read more

first of all every dog i have ever seen leaving this grooming salon has had the same hair cut. My dogs needed to be done quickly so i brought them in. I picked them up(they looked ridiculous) but i paid and went home. When i got home my daughter was petting the one dog and noticed he was acting weird. He was whining, and barking randomly. Trying to get at his neck. We examened him and noticed his neck had sores on it and cuts in all the areas that were shaven short. My daughter gave him a bath 2 days before because he got muddy on his feet and these sores were not there! Nobody even mentioned the sores at the store when we checked out. Later on we got a call saying they noticed this redness on our dog and blamed it on his collar or some crap. They obviously did this and didnt even admit to it. Dont let anyone named andrea near your pets. groomers are poorly trained and have no idea what their doing. Never going back there. read more
