I toured Sherri's place a few years ago and have been bringing my pup here for at least 5 years. Their staff and Sherri and her husband are really great dog people. I called about an hour before closing, and they told me to bring him in right away. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and taken into a room immediately. The entire staff was so pleasant and kind--I truly wish I had gotten everyone's names because they all made a stressful situation much easier. Dr. Strait was great. She gave me two treatment options and thoughtfully recommended the less invasive one, which I appreciated and agreed with. We were in and out within about 45 minutes. The charges were very fair, especially for an emergency visit. I had called another nearby animal hospital beforehand and was quoted $240 just for the exam. I'm so grateful for the care we received today and will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She is super detailed but chill and flexible, and very attentive - my doggo's first day there, she kept sending me pics (some v good ones too!) and updates on who my dog's new bestest friends were, how he was settling in, etc. I totally did not expect her to have that much time to do so with all the dogs she has, but very appreciative of it. She sets expectations up front, which is a good thing too, and is very communicative (although she can't always be by her phone to respond quite asap, which I appreciate bc she's giving the dogs attention). I found Sam on Yelp, checked out her website, and shortly afterward we had a meet n greet. Diamond absolutely ADORES Sam! You can tell Sam has a genuine passion for taking care of animals. She can "get on their level" and keep them engaged. Diamond's first daycare day went very well! I received many photos and updates on her progress (which I appreciated so much), and Diamond made a new friend there. By the end of the day, she was tuckered out!!! Sam is a dream to do business with, it almost felt like we were old friends: she's warm, creative, kind, professional, and truly enjoys what she does. I'm looking forward to bringing Diamond back for boarding and more daycare. Diamond is anxious to see her friends again too!

We were very desperate for help with our rescue GSD. She told us she was the answer to all our dog related issues.. We bought her story and hired her. Hired her. She showed up at our house and cut up 12 hotdogs and 3 blocks of cheese. Tossed bits at our dog until she was physically ill. Stephanie/Stevie Ohlund/McDonald. (She sitches up her names) She never showed up again. Excuse after excuse. Fighting with her boyfriend, stuck in snow, car broke down, no gas $ you name it! It all happened to her. I started doing research on her and actually got in touch with many of her other victims. There are dozens & dozens since January 2019. She changes her business name constantly. Please be careful of this women!!

On my puppy she said her heart sounded great and I trust her!! My puppy came out of the vets office with a sample bag, her first puppy shot, and with a wagging tail. Dr Maria sees all of my 12 dogs. I show in obedience, conformation and nosework and I am very picky. Dr Maria gets super high marks from me on everything, but mostly, in trust. Her supporting staff from vet tech to front desk is top notch and always very nice. To add the icing on the cake the price at the end of the visit is pretty much what I expected, I'm never surprised by a huge number I wasn't prepared for. Nowadays, it seems regular vets charge emergency prices, but not this hospital. I highly recommend.
