Stella is new to boarding and still learning how to socialize, so this was a huge adjustment for her. Despite her tiny Bichon Shih Tzu stature, she definitely put up quite a fight! The staff was incredibly patient and did their best to make her feel comfortable. One staff member even went to the store to get some of Stella's favorite fruit, which meant a lot to me. If your dog is already comfortable with boarding and other dogs, I think this is a great facility. I loved that there were cameras, and all the other dogs seemed to be enjoying themselves. Stella just wasn't ready for that experience, so I don't think multi night boarding is the right fit for her. Though, I would consider doing daycare for her at this facility! My only feedback is that she came home smelling strongly of urine and the kennel, and her coat was heavily matted after four nights. I was told baths need to be scheduled in advance, so that's something to keep in mind if your dog has a long stay. Overall, I'm grateful for the patience and kindness the staff showed Stella. It was the first time that I ever utilized such services.; but suffice it to say, I was blown away! Not only did he love going there was streaming so I could watch his experience. When I went to pick him up, I was often notified whether he ate that day or what they did to make sure that he ate his food. I feel as though he is well taken care of and everyone there is fully engaged in ensuring that he has the best experience he possibly can, which makes me happy and feel like he's in the best of care. I now take him to be boarded along with the daycare services once a week so he can play with other dogs. I must admit that I used services of a couple other pet sitter and boarding facilities that paled horribly in comparison to Dogtopia. One place actually closed him in the garage with another dog. This location is 16 miles away from my home but it's worth the drive to know that he is well taken care of.

I toured Sherri's place a few years ago and have been bringing my pup here for at least 5 years. Their staff and Sherri and her husband are really great dog people. Our first appointment was with Dr. Porcelli, and we've seen Dr. Rose ever since. Both doctors have been excellent. Dr. Rose, in particular, has a calm and supportive demeanor -- she answers questions without judgment and has never recommended unnecessary treatments. Occasionally, a front desk staff member may sound a bit sharp, but I don't believe it's intentional. The phones are extremely busy, and they deal with challenging customers, so I understand the stress they're under.

We thought all was well, the owner John Quinn assured us the dog would be removed permanently, but that wasn't true. My girl experienced trauma from the attack and I didn't want a reoccurrence so we had to withdraw her from attending. We just recently tried to take her to another facility, but unbeknownst to us she was removed from the system. Now the process has to start from scratch because the facility manager at Plainfield will not communicate with another facility to validate my girl. I don't want to speak ill of the situation, but my rating speaks for itself. My girl deserved better!

Thunder took my dog and my moms dog after a few aggressive fights between them.
