I told them I wanted a puppy cut with Schnauzer face and fluffy tail. The last time he was groomed was just before I moved to the Beverly area about 10 weeks ago. I told them I brushed Bullet every night, he had some matting and those crusties around his eyes. While waiting to pick him up, I could hear Bullet whining terribly. I questioned it, and was told he was just a bit anxious because it was his first grooming there. A groomer brought a little black dog out, and I thought, "Aw, cute dog but really skinny." I didn't know it was my Bullet, until he jumped up on my lap. I was horrified, day the least. When I asked what happened, I was to,d he was matted all over, he didn't like being cut, and they had to shave him!!! The groomer said his face fur came off in one piece as she shaved him. What the hell. I'm attaching "before and after" pictures of Bullet so you can understand why I've given such a poor rating and why I will NEVER bring Bullet anywhere near that place again. Not only does he look like a hairless cat, my sweet, cuddly baby who loves people and other dogs, is now skittish and scratches himself almost non-stop.

And a place that can handle all his medications. After several failures, I was referred to this location through Shelton's adoption center, One Tail At A Time. He has never been so calm and chill, leaving boarding, too bad I missed a video opp! Typically he is all ball of anxiety, this is also the first time he's gone straight to sleep after arriving home!! Checking in, the staff said, "if you don't hear from us, that is a good thing." I was a bit skeptical, but that was a true statement! They called when something was right with his poop when there was extra medication in his bag and to inquire about his toys. I appreciated the ongoing communication, and judging by the report card, he loved the team. I was side-eying the $88 a day (with a private patio), but it is worth the price (esp if your pet is non-animal friendly). The basic suites are spacious for a short stay.

After over 50 years of me and my family bringing our loved pets to BevLab I sadly will never go…read moreback there again. There was a time I championed this place and Dr. Plowe who recently retired. Since her departure the place was never the same again. Very money conscious. Very high prices. It's all about making as much as they could. I brought my dog in and when I asked about my cat at home, they said they don't give away free advice. I asked a simple question stating that I am paying for this time. They said sarcastically bring the cat in. then treated me like I was cheap. I had a dog with diabetes and spent thousands there for over seven years. Now they wouldn't answer a simple question. This new crew is arrogant and condescending. They don't care about your pet and even less about you. All they want is your money. That lab tech has no business dealing with people. I could go on and on about how terrible she was. The entire time I kept my cool and my mouth shut. When I went home and shared my experienced, I was told by all to never go back there again. I still wanted to go back but I called and asked to have that tech's name put down on my chart, so I never get her again. They asked why and I said I didn't want to make it a big thing and left it at that. Nope, that tech found out and started calling my home. I wasn't home so she burdened my 86-year-old mother with her nonsense. It upset her. After she saw I didn't want her again, she should have NEVER called my home. Just looking for trouble. Then to cover her ass she made up a compliant about me. She said I had a "mood change" but not when the doctor was in the room only to her. LOL. The doctor obviously wouldn't back up her lie. Then the manager started calling my home. She was worse than the terrible lab tech. She wouldn't listen to reason all she did was defend her "friend" as she referred to her and her lies. Also, they never asked once how my dog was doing. 4 phone calls, one email and one letter through the mail. All they wanted to do was cover their ass. They are unprofessional. They over charge and in my opinion are rip-off artists. Above all they are liars. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else folks.
