This is my fourth and final time going to furry friends grooming with my shih tzu and Maltese. every time I go, they are never groomed as I ask, nor do they have a nice smell they just smell like soap. When I got there today i was met at the front desk by the owner's granddaughter. The owner's granddaughter asked me for my name. I gave it to her. She came back and stated there was nothing on the calendar. For me, then she asked what my pet's names was. I told her she checked again and still I was not on the calendar. She informed me that there was nothing on the books for me and she couldn't see my dogs due to them. Being overbooked, I explained to her that she was the one that wrote down on the card for me to come back today. She totally overlooked that. And she said, well, unfortunately, we're over staff today with over 20 dogs. My grandmother has a shoulder injury and we had a call off and I felt as though instead of giving me all those excuses all she had to do was say, I apologize for the misunderstanding. But I'll be happy to take your dogs and instead it was almost like I was begging her to take them. And she kind of had an attitude of like she was doing me a favor instead of correcting an error that happened on her. And the groomers part, not mine, I felt this was extremely unprofessional, and it was very rude and not very respectful of my time as I do not live close to the place I live almost 30 minutes away, but she totally overlooked that like it didn't matter. And just went too well. If we take them, it's gonna be half the day. I don't know when you would get them back very rude. I was not happy at all with me. Being the customer, it should have just been a little bit more courteous. Even though they have a fair price that they charge for grooming, they are extremely unprofessional. Not to mention the place smells like urine. I also feel as though this place is racist because I was African American. I don't think she treated me as nice as she could have her or the owner very rude and unprofessional. I will never bring my dogs back here again. Please be careful if you are an African American as they will treat differently not to mention you never see the owner so you don't exactly know who is grooming your dogs. read more

This used to be my go to place and I have never had a problem but after todays encounter with a RUDE employee, I'll take my business elsewhere. We called to see if we could bring in two dogs and who ever answered the phone in the morning said they had some cancellations and to bring them on over so we did. As I come to pick up my pups after work, this employee has the audacity to tell me we had an appointment for one dog and we snuck the other one in. Like excuse me ? I was speechless and hurt because why would I bring in the other dog if you didn't have time to take her in. Common sense that's why we CALLED BEFOREHAND, to make sure you could squeeze them both in. She then proceeded to tell me how much work she has and that she had 35 dogs to work on including the one we snuck in(even though we called and got an OKAY to bring both in), and that we brought our pups in last minute so not to expect them to be done anytime soon.. I was beyond frustrated. If you can't communicate with the people you work with and have such a nasty attitude take it somewhere else because I understand it's the holiday season, it's busy, but to tell someone this crap, not okay. Finally went back to pick up my pups and she proceeded to tell from the back to the girl releasing my pups to tell me the customer to never sneak in bringing a dog again. Now that was pushing it. I love taking my dog here. The people are very friendly and helpful. I have a 70lb american bull dog and they only charge 25 dollars for a bath and nail clipping. Its a well maintained, family owned establishment. I will continue to take my pets here. The place is sorta small, but they get the job done for a reasonable price. Also, my pup is PETRIFIED of being petted and only wants to stay in her cage. She also has a rash around her neck from the rope that is used around the dogs neck. How is it possible to do that? Recently took my dog here and received a call from Victoria saying that my dog only weighed 4lbs and that he was completely bones. My dog weighed around 13lbs when we took him to the vet the following week. The day my dog got his haircut his fur was extremely short and they did completely the opposite of what we asked. I'm assuming that's why Victoria called and complained about his weight. My dog had been treated beforehand for a sprain and when we took him to Furry Friends and picked him up and he came home limping from both of his front limbs. My family and I noticed that every time we took him here he would limp. I believe they did something to him and it breaks my heart because he cannot walk nor is he eating at all. I brought our cairn terrier puppy there to get a nice summer cut as she was getting too warm with her long cut she had before and when I picked her up she was all clean, well cut and her nails were trimmed. I brought my puppy here because several people recommended them. While the staff seemed kind and friendly, they did a horrible job. Overall, her cut is choppy and uneven. Worst of all, and most concerning is the 2-3 inch bald spot on her chest. All hair was removed, it's a miracle that they didn't cut her. They mentioned what a sweetie my dog was, and she's been groomed before so I know it wasn't her acting unruly. Even if she was, I would expect better from supposedly professionals. After picking my little dog up from this chop shop litterally, he had 2 huge wounds under each of his front legs, where the legs meet the body, they were raw, and are now scabbing over. And on his privates he was shaved so badly that too is raw, right now has puss, and starting to scab over. This is NO PLACE for any pet. The conditions are also very poor. Chris and his mother, Veronica, are wonderful. I took my rescue terrier here for a shampoo and cleaning. They did a fabulous job. AND they cut my dog's nails!! Well and evenly!!! This is a big deal because the other 4 groomers I went to would not cut my dog's nails. However, Chris persevered and he and my dog are now friends. I cannot imagine why Furry Friends ever got a negative review. It is obvious, from when you first walk into this cozy, clean, and friendly establishment that Chris and Veronica love pets, will love your pet, and will treat your pet like it is their own.
