My kids do some training near this PetSmart location so I've popped in a handful of times for a variety of items ranging from dog food and collars to toys, and even to use the restroom once or twice. Note: the restroom is pretty gross here, so I don't recommend that! Wow I can't speak highly enough of the training here and I think everyone should take their dog to some sort of training and this is the spot Not only is it simple and easy to do, show up to your local petsmart, but so fun! We get so many compliments out on our little corgi and how well behaved he is. Katie is awesome and the best trainer, our dog loves her almost more than he loves us. Will never go here again was refused selling me and daughter a gold fish due to the tank size we had in the cart, we explained it's her first fish and wanted a starter fish to start teaching her responsibilities with live animals but was told that would be abuse and that we should settle on a snail or shrimp . I didn't know they were in the business of not selling fish and the amount of attitude given to us when we asked why. I asked so if I didn't have the tank in my cart I could buy a goldfish no real response and that's also the manager on duty that day. This store is filthy. There was dried pet urine right by the checkout registers with a sign that said "CAUTION wet floor". Doesn't it take just as much effort to wipe it up as it does to put the sign there? There was also dog feces in the main aisle in the store and when I walked in I advised an older female with gray hair who was working the register. She said "thank you " and did absolutely nothing about it. I was in the store for 25 minutes and it was still on the floor and when I left. I will never return. Pleajse stay away from this branch. They don't even know what they're doing over there. I took my 2 dogs to them for full grooming and the lady said her hair is too long and it's going to cost an extra 20 dollars. I said that was fine and she said leave the dogs here and we'll give you a call in 3 to 4 hours. They never called so I drove down to the store to check on them after 4 hours and then she went and brought the dogs. They were all shaved down to the skin and I have 2 Shih Tzu's. Can you imagine a shih Tzu shaved down to the skin? They were so ugly. They looked like naked cats and they did this without giving us a call about what they were about to do. When I asked her why she did this she said their fur was matted and that's not true because I brush my dogs everyday and this is not their first time at the groomer. Please Pet Smart Groomers you need to ask and call people about what you need to do to the dogs and not just shave them down to the literal skin. It's not your fucking dog. How would you feel if I shaved your head? You would be ugly just like my dogs. It's so disgusting and I'm sick and tired of you guys doing this to my dogs. Went twice this week to get my dogs Nails trimmed. It was around 4pm. Website and in store said the grooming are open till 9pm. They lie, they were closed early on both days. No sign on the front door or on the grooming salon. I walked in and it was all quiet. Had to ask about it. It was Oh they went home early. The second time again no signes, Had to hunt down someone to ask. They were eating and laughing in the office. Asked about the Grooming. Its closed early again. I'm done with this place now. They do not care at all. If they are closing early, then change the times. What a waste of time. read more

I have been to this location for grooming before and always had a good experience. This time however I don't know what to make out of this experience. I should have known from the unfriendly vibe I got when I first arrived. When my groomer finally arrived she didn't have smile, didn't have friendly greeting but I didn't mind at that point thinking maybe that's just her normal demeanor and it didn't bother me until everything else added up at the end. Anyways my 12 lbs Bichon poodles comes in normally with some matte on her legs (she hates me brushing her legs so I am well aware she's more knotted and matte there) but her body is usually decent just long. The groomer asked with length I wanted and I said the 1/2 inch, and with the face I don't like the poodle face cut but rather keep her more Bichon and rounded in the face...she said ok to the face but she advised that the leg areas will have to go the shortest as its very matte. I said ok, try your best. She went on to tell me that, the legs will be really short compared to the body as I requested 1/2 inch. I said its ok do your best to blend. She then asked again what length I wanted....I said the 1/2 for the body...we went back and forth again about her legs being matte and need to be trimmed to the shortest. Im again nodding and said, ok, you are the professionals you do what you need. At that point I was NOT mad or angry or frustrated. I said I get it, just go ahead and do it knowing that she will be longer in the body and shorter, in the leg area. Then the groomer continue to examine my dog and said unless you want to take her home brush her out and come back. I said no its ok, do what you have to on the leg area once again. Im starting to get confused on what's going on.....at this point there were more groomers in the salon now. Another groomer spoke up and said something like she'll look funny and another groomer said she'll look like she's wearing a coat. Then another groomers whose working on a poodle mix point at me the inner thigh of the dog she was grooming and said her legs will look like this. I said when you mean the shortest you mean shaved. My groomer nods her head. As confused as I was, as matte as I had my dog before she has never needed to be shaved. BUT I said ok go as low as you need to if you thinks she's matted. ...I wasn't objecting... The groomer still looked at me like she wasn't ready to take my dog. The other groomer were all staring at me.... so I was getting really overwhelmed....I did not understand what they wanted me to do or say. I said to them I've came here before and with my dog in the same condition and I never had this issue. What is it today that makes it sooo difficult. My dog was not in terrible grooming condition at all. She looks like she's ready for a groom and bath like every dogs who goes grooming will look like. I got so overwhelmed and intimidated because I didn't know what they wanted from me. I was so confused. I said again, I'm not so sure what the issue is but this is ridiculous and I walked out. My gut feeling was bad and I knew I couldn't leave my dog in these peoples hands. The left and walked past the store manager office (whom I meet before on my previous visit) , I told him how intimidating and unfriendly the staff at the grooming was. He had a did not care demeanor. He said he was there at the grooming area earlier (yes he was there during the first 1/2 of the conversation) and he didn't think they did anything wrong. I said but after you left, they weren't being too helpful and I felt so intimidating so I left. He said sorry I felt that way. Then I left completely. Im still confused at what happened. I agreed that her legs will be trimmed short/shaved..... what was still the issue? My guess is perhaps their job to be easier and was implying to me that I should shave my dog completely? (which I won't do because its winter) or maybe they didn't want to deal with another curly hair breed today? Perhaps she wasn't experienced enough to groom my curly haired dog? Either way poor communications skills and poor customer service. I can say I was very patience today even with all the questions and confusion but they made me feel more and more uncomfortable. Never going back ....they lost my trust. Perhaps she should have just got to the point next time and say Im not qualified to groom your dog. I would have gave her some credit on being honest at least ! read more

Went with my family to this location to get some goodies for our new puppy and my sons tortoise. We had some questions about a dog crate, so I waited in the check-out line to ask for someone to help me because nobody offered. After waiting a while a short lady with a blonde ponytail (don't know her name) came to "help". She was shockingly rude. Mocking what I was saying, walking away from me mid sentence, rolling her eyes. And at one point even through her hands in the air out of annoyance. I guess "Do you know the price of this crate?" and "Do you mind checking another location for stock?" Was too much for her to handle. When we were walking out, we mentioned our experience to the manager, who was apologetic and offered to help. We appreciated that. But if you HAVE to go to this location, avoid the angry elf. read more

I visited this Petsmart for the first time today as I needed some items for my cat. I was welcomed when I entered the store. I had no trouble finding the products, then proceeded to the register. The young girl with the red hair was very nice. She was very friendly and had a great smile. I'm not sure I would get my dog groomed here, but I would certainly be back to buy pet related goods. I also like that they support pet rescue as a cat rescue group was setting up and a dog rescue would be there later in the day. read more

Pet groomer nope. Our first visit was ok. My puppy's groomer did a great job. After 2 weeks had my puppy groomed again. Haircut and bath. When we got home and noticed that my puppy's haircut wasn't evenly cut. There are shorts and long hair. Not happy at all with the outcome. read more

I was informed that it's flawed after planning a visit in December. I was told this at pick today. They charged me 120 more then I authorized and called me a liar when voicing my concerns. They do care about the pets, just not the owners. The hospital on Gilbert and German is the only one I've found to care about both. Stay away from this place. read more

We go to this PetSmart on a regular basis... probably a few times a month for all of our dog and fish necessities. The employees are always very helpful - one of the employees even stopped to help me pick out a properly sized "Gentle Leader" and showed me how to put it on my dog. I come back another man is there I think his name is Caesar chewed me out telling me it was inappropriate that I helped myself. I took my 6m old Goldendoodle in for his first cut. I had a photo and specifically told them I wanted his muzzle area tight and not long (mustache look). I do not like it when they groom Goldendoodles and leave the muzzle area and head long. I wanted a puppy look, same length all over and the longest they could keep it. They told me they could for certain do a puppy trim on his face and would try to do his full body. When I picked him up they did exactly what I asked NOT to. They left his snout/ muzzle area as long as it originally was as well as the top of his head and just cut around his eyes and his full body. When I asked them to fix it the groomer had gone on break. I opted to wait so they would fix it and after 10 minutes the manager came over and said that the groomer said she couldn't do his snout because he was moving. I said so you could do the full body but not the one area you originally said you could for sure do? Yes they said. I told them since I specifically told them I did NOT want the snout long they should have called me right away since that is the first area they groom and let me know in case I didn't want to proceed knowing his look would not be what I requested. They told me they wouldn't charge me and I could come back for a more experienced groomer another day. Im so disappointed in how poorly the groomer handled this. I even provided them a picture on top of arriving early to communicate what I wanted . Not much more you can do then that. The worst part is there is no guarantee when I go back that they can fix it. read more

Made a grooming appointment for 7a and as I am in the parking lot waiting for the store to open I receive a call that the groomer is running late and asked if I can bring my pet at 8a. I stated that I am sitting in the parking lot - already there- and I have a vet appt at 830a for my other cats. I asked if I could just drop my pet off and when the groomer got there she can get right to work. The response was 'uh, I'm not, um' so I said to cancel the appt. Such a disappointment. read more

I visit this location (Power/Ray) for my 2 dogs and fish tank. The staff is always so friendly and willing to assist me with my questions.

Did order pick up from this location twice and both times I placed the orders the night before. The first time I had to come in right before they closed the next day and asked if they could just get the items for me because every other PetSmart I order pickup is normally ready within a few hours and I wasn't going to wait any longer. The second time, I got a notification that my order was ready but when I got there turns out it wasn't ready and the item I ordered ahead became out of stock, because of that I wasted a 20 minute drive there and back. I recommend never doing order pickup from this location because you will have nothing but issues with getting your items. read more

REVIEW STRICTLY FOR GROOMING DEPARTMENT: We have been taking our dog here for years now to get his nails trimmed. Last time we came in we were greeted by a very unfriendly blonde who tried to turn us down by quoting a rule she thought was fact that ended up NOT being true. After another girl explained to her that she was wrong her entire demeanor changed.. She was quiet, short and seemed like we were the biggest inconvenience of the day. I was so put off I almost declined the service because I didn't want this unprofessional lady handling my puppy! While waiting for our dogs to get their nails trimmed all the girls working continued to have a very unprofessional conversation. They were talking about not wanting to call customers, other employees mistakes, among other things that shouldn't be talked about in front of customers. Needless to say I think we will be finding a new place to take our dogs to. I don't know if their have been changes lately but the service has gone down hill. I don't ever want to feel awkward dropping off dogs, that are honestly like family, to ANY place. read more

We came to this Petsmart instead of our normal one because the dog bed we wanted was in stock at this location. Big mistake! Heather was working the register and was one of the rudest employees I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Gave her the phone number for rewards and asked to use ours. She was huffy and puffy, when I didn't know that having two names on one phone number made a huge difference. Then when we had to void out the THREE items (dog bed, dog bone, and a toy) to use the other name, she immediately became irritated and got incredibly rude. Down to snapping at me about having to scan the dog bed all over again. I may have been more understanding had there been a line but we were the only people in the entire store. Completely out of line to act like that to someone in general, much less a customer. We will never be back to this store and will gladly drive out of our way to go to another location. read more
