Went to get Winston's nailed trimmed (his first time). You must show them a rabies record for nail trimming and I'm sure other services before being able to be serviced as a walk-in. I was able to call my vet to have them confirm rabies shot which was convenient, so I didnt have to go back home. Maddy filed Winston's nails. It was his first time and he was nervous. Maddy made him feel comfortable. It was $15 for filing, which rounded his nails. A basic trim is $10...worth it if your dog refuses letting you touch their nails.

As a Dog and Frog owner, I was sadden to see the reptile and amphibian section so poorly taken care of. What stood out to me most was their water dish that SHOULD BE CHANGED AT LEAST ONCE A DAY, and by the photo I took this had to have been more than two or three. I took the picture because it was kinda sad, and that was the only enclosure that had nasty dirty water, I had no intention on posting this UNTILL... We pushed the button to get assistance to get some crickets. Two lady's come, an older lady (didn't really get a good look at her) and this younger blonde girl teenager I assume, then said she's got it to the other worker offering help to us. We told her we needed 50 small crickets and she hesitated because there wasn't much in there so I told my fiancé we can just do 30, then repeated to the young blonde girl, "Can we do 30 instead" while she was contacting a supervisor I assume to ask if it okay. She then finished talking with someone and said 50 is the most we can do because they need some to feed the animals they have in store. Which then I said "yeah as a matter of fact there water dishes are dirty and full of dead crickets" she's responded "sigh yeah maybe when (she names a coworkers name) comes in because I get off at 5 and I've been here since open haha" I was literally speechless I had nothing to say to her I took the crickets and went to look at the cats up for adoption. In the meantime I can here her frustration towards an asian family wanting to buy a fish but can't because of the tank size and set up etc..(Petsmart has certain rules and regulations before purchasing a fish especially bigger ones which I'm thankful they do) I've never seen her here before I'm hoping she is new all I'm saying is she might need some more training or at least a sit down and a conversation. I've worked retail management so I know what should and shouldn't be said. All I wanted from her was to acknowledge the situation I was seeing and tell someone in charge or someone who was still gonna be on the clock.... Then to find her just sitting outside on her phone after she was off... As far as the dirty dish bowls... shame on you Petsmart do better for them.

I took my puppy there for his first cut. The groomer was so nice and explained everything. She checked him for Matt's and said there were none and that we have been doing a good job at home. I felt really comfortable leaving him there. He was supposed to get bathed and trimmed around face, paws, and potty area. When I picked him up she said he did great! Gave me his "oawgress" report. When we got home I saw his back leg was shaved! I brought him back up there the next afternoon and was told "he must've had matts", as that would be the only reason the groomer would do that. I told her that I should've been called in advance or at least told it at pick up. She said are you sure she didn't tell you at pickup? Like I would forget that information?!? His report even said his cost was not matted! I eventually spoke to a manager who refunded my money. I will never go back there. Beware of Megan and the staff who will lie to you in order to defend their incompetence.

It makes me so sad to see a bad review for this store because they are absolutely incredible. In the Petsmart side the aisles are always clean and well stocked so that I never really have to search for anything. If you are trying to locate something though, the staff is happy to help you and I've never had anyone be rude. Just LAST MONTH my car battery died out front while we were inside and one of the employees took his break to come out and stand in the cold to try and jump my car and then even offered to drive my husband and I to a nearby car shop to buy a battery! Just such good people. We take our dogs to the dog grooming place as well and they take very good care of our dogs. We have probably been a dozen times and only once has there ever been an incident which was when our dog tried to jump up onto the table before the groomer was ready and she knicked her leg on the table. The groomers were beside themselves when we arrived and had taken her over to Banfield to get checked out and she had a mini bandage for the tiniest scratch! Our puppy didn't even seem to notice, but we were really touched by the level of care and concern they had. I'll post a more comprehensive review of Banfield on the actual Banfield yelp page for this location, but I have to say that the vets and staff at Banfield are just as high of quality as everyone else here. They are so sweet to the dogs, and we often catch them carrying our small dog around (he's a bit nervous) to make him feel better and because they sincerly like animals! Honestly, this is just a great company and I'm proud to give them my business because they take such good care of me and my family.

I'm SOOOO thankful for that rejection because there's no way they would've done what Tame did. I truly thought we were going to have to give up one of my girls because of fights. I've never had an issue with training in my 40+ years on this earth & was so disheartened. Tame turned that around. I have the tools now & knowledge of some new tricks to help me & most importantly them. We were lucky enough to get paired with Riley who was so prompt with communication. We did the long program & he (and his team) went above and beyond to put our minds at ease. Even after we brought her home they still answer our random questions. I live in the Ft. Worth area & can tell you the drive is worth it! Thank all of you guys so much for everything! I can never thank you enough!

I did the 2 week board and train program and it was by far the best decision I could have made. The whole team is extremely knowledgeable and worked hard to make my dog feel comfortable but also train with and equip him (and myself) with the tools to completely remove those behaviors and feel secure. we constantly work on all of the things he learned during the program to this day. I could not say enough great things about Matt and his team, they changed mine and my dogs life!

Cheryl is the best. Seriously. We heard about her from a friend and when we meet for our free…read moreevaluation I knew she was gonna be our trainer. We live in Lake Stevens which is out of her travel range so we met at McCollum park in Everett for our sessions. We have a 6 month old Whippet and the web is full of information about how Whippets are not motivated to be trained, can never be trusted off leash, no training collars (they have thin necks), are very sensitive, etc. After reading all this I was left bewildered. I had trained our previous dog (Lab) but I felt like nothing I knew before would work on this dog and I hadn't even started! Cheryl put my mind at ease. She felt that a balanced approach (a gentler training collar with lots of positive reinforcement) was the way to go and how a dog is trained and what it can and can't do is up to the individual dog and its owner. We signed up for her Silver package and met twice a week for 5 weeks. After our first lesson I was so pleased I could cry. Just that lesson taught Dobby not to pull which was his biggest issue. From there he learned sit, down, come, place, heel, stay, not to jump up on people and just how to generally pay attention to me more than his surroundings. Its tough for him as Sighthounds see everything and are intensely interested. But he's come so so far. Cheryl never lost her cool, never lost her patience and she had a solution for every issue that came up. I had to bring my 4 kids numerous times as we homeschool and she was never (visibly) annoyed, even though they were sometimes quite annoying :) We did end up using an electronic collar and our last few sessions involved working with him on that. He has begun work off leash using this collar. It also helps make corrections at home when he doesn't have a leash on and is far away. I would recommend using the e-collar option if it fits into your budget. Its been really nice. I can't recommend Cheryl highly enough. We really enjoyed our time with her and Duke and her impact on Dobby and us will last a very long time. She enabled us to have a well-behaved dog that we can take anywhere. That's priceless.

We have spent three years having trainers tell us to rehome one of our pups or having training…read moreopportunities fall through as we tried to address the reactiveness of one of our dogs toward the other. Our daily routines involved, what we called, "the prisoner exchange," moving one dog inside and the other outside repeatedly so they did not fight. We believed in Leo and William and knew that they could make each other's lives so much richer with the right support and knowledge. When I called Karma for training options, I was told they had the perfect trainer for our situation and that the trainer could come live with us for ten days. Enter - Kai Whitmore - the man, the myth, the legend. I was very hopeful, but skeptical that my pups could get along, however, Kai got to know each of them individually, understood their strengths and weaknesses, and built up their basic skills that would be helpful when they interacted. Within days, Kai had the boys hanging out together in the backyard and the house. Shortly thereafter, they were playing together, napping together, and bonding over their mutual desire to keep our yard cat-free. Now a mere two weeks later, they are co-existing most of the day, though we do give them breaks because it is still so new. Not only did Kai work his magic with the dogs, but he also provided our family the support and confidence we needed to ensure Leo and William's friendship continues to progress and to keep them both continually learning new skills or sharpening old ones. We know within a matter of weeks, we will be living with both dogs on the same schedule and in the same spaces as we have always wanted. Kai believed in the dogs and believed in us. We couldn't have dreamed of a better result. And despite the length of this review, I can't find the words that truly express the gratitude and admiration I have for Kai as both a dog trainer and human being. If you are fortunate enough to meet Kai, or have the benefit of him helping with your dog training, just start thanking him out the gate to get ahead of it.

Being a husky mix we shouldn't have been surprised. We did 4 sessions with Dawn and she helped us with the basic commands and we saw a major change in Alphie. He listens to us so well now and is more responsive to our commands. We are still working on the leash reactivity, but he is slowly improving. The main thing was that Dawn gave us the tools to calm him and/or distract him when he gets into a reactive situation. We are hopeful he is going to get much better. Repetition and routine is key. Dawn was amazing to work with. We went to her house twice for the training and she had an awesome yard for Alphie to run around in, and we got to see how amazing he is off the leash with her dogs, which was so fun to see. Thank you Dawn!!

We still take Leia to board with Dawn when we are away- Dawn just mixed her right in with all the other dogs so she can have fun and play, spend time outside, and enjoy the other people around. I would choose this over a kennel atmosphere anytime! And as a bonus, Dawn works on training reminders with Leia while she boards her, so I get a refreshed dog when I return! Dawn is the BEST!
