Very helpful staff, especially Bill who picked out all of the prescription cat food I needed and set it aside for curbside pickup. The PetSmart in Bellaire said I would have to come into the store for prescription food, but this store accommodated telephone shopping and curbside pickup. And everything I needed was in stock. Thank you for your outstanding customer service, PetSmart! read more

Wong pet smart. Never been here. Yelp won't let me delete my review on this pet smart so 4 stars for keeping the doors open

I took my dog here as a puppy for her first hair cut and grooming session. They did a really good job! They were helpful and waited for me when I forgot her vaccination paperwork, and called to give me an update about how she was doing and that she could handle the shears. I didn't really give any haircut instructions cause I didn't know to, but they did a great job either way. She looked good! Would go back here for her next groom read more

PetSmart - Still looks cute n fluffy - Pet Stores Near Me - Houston, Texas

Took our dog (Lhasa Apso) here for a full groom, and we were pleased with the results! Chester can be a grumpy little thing, but he was all dog smiles and tail wagging when we picked him up. We actually arrived early and spied on he and his groomer from an aisle in store. Great price and very thorough groom. Suzanne did great! read more

I just left PetSmart on Shepherd I took my Gabby in for a bath and to have her belly shaved I like her hair long when I picked her up she was completely shaved from head to toe I am so effing pissed off I just had to leave before I cause a scene I don't even know who groomed her but this is not what I asked her to do this morning I don't even know if I'll ever take her back there again wouldn't have done me any good to cause a scene because I can't make her f****** hair grow back read more

Unfortunately PetSmart grooming really does not live up to customer service standards. I've visited this salon three times and more than once have gotten a bad vibe from the person booking appointments. They are short, sometimes rude, put you on hold forever, and don't explain their services in a concise and easy to understand manner. Twice I've dropped my dog off for service during the appointment time and it has been an hour and a half. Today, someone tells me on the phone that he will be crated and they need 3 hours or else it's considered express wash. Extremely confusing since nobody's ever mentioned that before. I have had too many negative encounters from the customer service here and won't be bringing my dog back. It's unfortunate because he's bathed once per week and this is the closest to my house, but I just can't bring myself to continue go to this staff. read more

So I call this morning to find out what available times they had for today and got put on hold only to start speaking with someone new. I spoke with him restating everything that I told the lady only for him to give me a time and hang up on me. I thought when you set up an appointment time with someone you get their information right? Normally I don't post about places, but this annoyed me. Anyway they will not earn my business any longer the customer service suck!! If I could give them a negative star I would most definitely give them one. read more

This is about the grooming salon and banfield : I have been a banfield member for a while and I always get my grooming done at petsmart. My dog has long hair and in Texas.. that does not mix. They do a great job every time. Banfield is also great at this location. When I call they answer my questions, I've had no problem getting an appointment and when I come to the appointments, they answer everything I have to ask and are very helpful. I highly recommend this place! read more

I love this place the prices are ok but most important they take really good care of their animal, thinking of getting a chameleon

This location is my local spot for me and the pooch to take a afternoon out on the town and browse the toys. The staff has always been helpful and welcoming of me and Lucas. The store is clean. I have never used their grooming services, because I just don't like the idea of it. I like taking my pooch to someone that I know - not just someone that showed up for work. The prices are what you would expect - somewhere between Walmart and Natural Paws (without the attitude). It is a great place to help socialize your little four legged buddy. read more

PetSmark is in a convenient location with ample parking both in front and behind the building. I like that I can hit my grocery shopping next door at Trader Joes and grab a toy or my cat accoutrements at PetSmart. The reason I'm giving this location 3 stars is that while it meets all my needs as a cat owner, I don't have interactions with the employees that make my experiences significantly more enjoyable or memorable, and the products they sell meet my needs but don't exceed. read more

Good price. Good communication. Great grooming. I will be back. This is a great value.

Not sure what the criteria is to rate a Petsmart---they have pet products. Well, that's what their business is. They have a good pet vet hospital. They did do a great job with the handling of my sweet dog who, at life's end, didn't check out---and they were a 5-star partner in that experience. read more

I called to get a grooming appointment. The woman on the phone was next to impossible to understand because she mumbled everything. She told me the time I wanted wouldn't work--no problem-- but scheduled one a couple days out. She took my phone number and when we came in for the appointment, she said she didn't know my last name or my dog's name. After telling her the breed, I was told it was the previous day and I was a no show. Then why did you tell me that time wasn't available that day? And why didn't you call me? I have a hard time understanding how a three-hour appointment doesn't show up and you don't wonder why. The woman was nicer to my dog than to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd heard good things about their grooming and want her to be taken care of but at least be professional. If I didn't understand how my appointment was booked, I should have asked for clarification. But that doesn't mean you should ignore a customer instead of offering an alternative that would be more beneficial for both parties. So the pup and I just walked out. The past few times we've been there, they are out of stock on a lot of products. There's dried urine on the floor in several places and the only redeeming feature has been the nice checkout people. We'll be looking for a regular pet store elsewhere. read more

This review is for both the groomers and for banfield. We were leery of doing both because of it being a big corporate company. We said "oh well we will just do banfield for the first year to get him through all of his shots and his neuter." But they have done so well with our little nugget we will most likely continue our visits with them as the years come. As for the groomer, we had Gibbs! I've read about several horror stories about people getting their labroodles groomed and them coming back looking like poodles with puff balls and crazy stuff going on. So I was nervous to get him groomed at all. After reading reviews we were hoping to get in with willie but he wasn't in, I wouldn't say we had to "settle" with Gibbs because she did a PHENOMENAL job! (And I am VERY picky.) I was a nervous wreck leaving him for 4 hours, but he was SO precious when I picked him up. We will most definitely be back! Thank you, Gibbs! (Bourbon loves his new 'do too, says he's "all groomed up for the ladies") ;) haha, I mean, I can imagine that's what he's saying. Thank you banfield, and thank you Gibbs! We have a precious, healthy, and handsome pup thanks to yall! read more

Called the store today looking for a specific hemp chew for dogs from Only Natural Pets. The man who answered the call, Eric, went way and beyond to be helpful. He checked 3 different locations in is store to verify whether or not they had them on hand. Of his own accord, Eric telephoned me a short while later to let me know that he checked the Houston locations and found that the West Loop location reported having the product in inventory. I did not ask him to follow up, this nice gentleman exhibited his kindness and good character by doing so. I'm headed to the West Loop location because they did have the product on the shelf and are holding it for me now. Thank you Eric, I hope you're efforts do not go unappreciated by your management team or PetSmart on the whole. read more

My husband and I love this store. People are friendly and helpful. Luis the groomer is The Best. Our dogs love Luis and so do we.

I love this Petsmart for one reason only- Friends for Life has a satellite location here is that is open from 5-7 on weekdays and 12-5 on weekends and I come here to snuggle the super cute cats! Located super conveniently next to Trader Joes, I come pet the friendly kitties here and then go next door to get groceries, its a win win! read more

Terrible. They took 5 hours to treat my dog. He is 15 pounds and almost a year. The first time was perfect and my dog was cut well and trimmed well. We went to the same person that cut last time. My dog was not bathed and did not have his nails trimmed. I called the groomers for PetSmart in the parking lot and they told me they cut his nails, I have evidence that they did not. And the first time I took him he smelt great and got a collar. I picked him up nails not done, gland not done, smelled the same as I dropped him off. I work a service job and and telling all my guest to not go here now. I even called to say they didn't do their job and they said my dog had long nails to begin with. Okay that's why I paid to cut them. I'm telling everyone to not go here read more

Please please please match your listed prices on the shelves with what you ring up in your registers! I don't know how many times I have come here and the rung up price is almost ALWAYS higher than the listed price on the shelf! Even after a manager told me a certain product was a certain price, I go to the register and it's STILL a higher price! Very frustrating!! I want to know how much something actually costs before having it rung up! Please fix this PetSmart!! read more

Amazing refund policy. Friendly service. I've brought my foster here and they helped him choose a treat based on what their trainers would use. read more

S'aight. I'd give 3.5 if I could. This review is mostly about the fish products selection. Just letting you know so you don't get all pissy because you wasted your time reading something irrelevant to your needs! I come here due to convenience (ie, walking distance. I'm car-less.) and not so much because I want to. Haha, that sounds harsh and I don't mean it that way. The problem is not the staff. It's not long wait times. It's not the variety of fish and cat products I frequently peruse, except for one time when I needed flea stuff for my cat and they had practically nothing I considered useful comparative to the products listed on their website. The problem is prices. Look, my dang Tiger Oscars are picky, so it really sucks when I spend $14 (elsewhere a few bucks cheaper or smaller portion size available) on some food that they wind up not eating. Who's going to eat that shit? Not me! The cat might, but I don't need the potential vet fees due to an experimental feeding gone bad. Just about all of the food is overpriced. I say just about because surprise! I actually get a good price for frozen blood worms and brine shrimp. A lot of the chemicals are overpriced as well. Expect to spend near double what you should on medicine if your fish get sick. But do it anyway, because, you know, they're worth it. :) This PetSmart is pretty much like any other I've been in minus birds, gerbils and exotic animals including the blue-tongued skink. Oh my gosh, how I wanted one when I first saw them! read more

What the heck is wrong with this place? I can get cat wormer at my Krogers, not wanting el cheap-o Hartz brand I went here looking, not only did I get some of the worst slowest customer service they have NOTHING as far as cat preventative medicines and this is supposed to be a place for pets?!? Bollocks total garbage, poorly laid out store, painfully lacking for cat supplies. Hey geniuses there are MORE cats in the US than dogs, why not keep your store stocked with things people actually need. Oh wait, that's probably so you can spend a small fortune at Banefield on a veterinary bill for something you could easily just do yourself. I won't shop here or their chain again, period. read more

I often run here when I stop by Trader Joe's. The store is clean and well laid out. It can be a bit hard to get parking in the front during peak times, but there is more in the back. read more

Always great service at Banfield and the grooming salon. They do a great job giving a nice thorough bath and trim the nails appropriately. I'm giving 4/5 stars because they have forgotten to call when the dogs were finished on a few occasions unfortunately. read more

The grooming salon staff are excellent. They are so kind to my dog. She actually enjoys going to the groomer! Nawasha remembers my dogs needs and always gives great notes on any conditions she might find on my dog like dry skin. They are all very kind and professional which keeps me going back! read more

Update-- I sent an email to Petsmart with this review. They have now refunded my shipping cost. So they came thru & did the right thing.

Friendly and helpful staff even when my bulldog peed on almost every corner. Yes, I did walk him before entering the store. The manager didn't make me feel like a bad mom with a dirty boy. He said a cleaning crew comes in every night for the doggy messes. GUNNY's food was on sale so an added bonus. read more

So petsmart is essentially the wall mart of pet stores; and being so allows for lower cost. So took my pup in for grooming. Will say the price was 1/2 of the local boutique so gave it a shot. Well ordered the basic bath for my German Shepherd not expecting much. Well I was wrong, they treated the dog well and she came back clean and happy. She wasn't even damp! Only reason 4 instead of 5 stars is due to time l, but for the price it's worth it. Will definitely return again read more

My 6 month old husky was originally scheduled to get spayed July 9th at 7:15 am. Upon arrival, I was told she couldn't get spayed because there was a leak in the surgical room due to recent rainfall. The lady at the front desk told me she tried contacting me to reschedule, I didn't receive any phone calls neither did my boyfriend, not even a voicemail. So we reschedule to get her spayed July 23rd at 7:15 am. I got a confirmation email and a confirmation text. Once again, when I arrived I was told my puppy couldn't get spayed, this time because the vet called in. The girl at the front desk told me they tried calling to reschedule, I didn't receive any phone calls or a voicemail. What I did receive was a email confirming her appointment and a text message confirming her appointment. They said they "can't control the text messages being sent out". Not only did I have to keep my husky from eating the night before both of her failed appointments, my boyfriend and I both took time off of work on both days so we could monitor and nurture our pup. No consideration for my time. What am I paying $70 a month for? read more

Best Petsmart in the area!!! Had the food I was looking for and the employees are very friendly and helphful.

Okay....so a few weeks back I went in (Easter) I was bored with nothing to do, saw they were open and decided to get my cat something new. I opted for a new cat tower. Fast forward to now, the poor guy has gotten fleas. I start think to myself how in the world, did my indoor cat get fleas? He didn't have them and suddenly he does? When I first bought the tower he was quite religious, now he won't come near it! I had a moment of clarity tonight....I bought a cat tower where people can freely come into a store with animals from all walks of life! The chances of me buying a cat-tower (prebuilt and in no packaging, exposed) with fleas is EXTREMELY possible. To be honest I've never felt like a WORSE pet owner! All in all it is a fun store to stroll through, but the animal in store concept definitely needs revision! read more

TERRIBLE groomers at the North Grand Parkway, TX location. They refused to groom my 5lb dog due to thinking he might be scared, even though he was calmy sitting there. Made me wait outside their room for 20 min to observe if he got scared, while my dog just sat there. After the 20 min, they continued to tell me I had to come back another time, they THINK the dog might be nervous, but they cant tell until they groom her....but refused to try to groom her. Have been going there for a year, never seen or experienced anything like this. Insane goomers who were condescending and acting like they can speak with a dog..... while all the groomers were jusy sitting around not doing anything. read more

Great place for all your pet's need. This location is definitely the best I've been to in Houston. AJ, the manager, rocks!!!

I have been coming to this Petsmart for few years now plus this is close to my home and yesterday was just a horrible experience. Coming in, the greeter greets us and ask if we needed any help. I told her no and thank you. I went and looked for my item. See, I have a netherland dwarf bunny who is 3 and half months old... Still a bunny not yet a rabbit yet.... so this would be known as a "small animals" I couldn't find the brand of food so I went to the greeter because I couldn't find anyone to help me. I found a customer service person near the cashier chit chatting. So, I ask them if there is any bunny food and the lady said, "Oh, we don't sell them here!" I told her what's in the small animal aisle? With my *puzzled face* I told her to walk with me but her friend walk with me instead and told me that bunny and rabbits are two totally different animals. Still being *puzzled face" I was pretty shock on what she said. I asked her what's the different between a puppy and a dog? So yeah, my experience was so horrible that I am not going to come here again. I will just start going to Petco. read more

Anyone know the last name of terry the groomer. She left petsmart few weeks ago and petsmart won't give us any info. We know she has a mobile grooming company now we that's all I have to go of off. Can anybody help please. read more

Hands down the worst costumer service. Was approached if I needed help, I stated I did, the sales attendant walked away. He walked away to join his circle of coworkers to talk. Worst Grooming Center ever. They can not get cutting a dogs hair correctly for anything

FYI ...this store does NOT sell live mice for feeders per another review! I went in looking to get one for a friend with a ball python&the clerk in the fish dept was really nice about it but told me they only sell already deceased frozen mice. She even explained how to warm&feed them to the snake. But didn't think that would go over so great so bought some crickets for my bearded dragon instead. Nice&clean store, too although a bit far for me. But really good selection of stuff for us pet owners who don't have a dog or cat. read more

I came in here to check out the clothing selection for my puppy and love the fact that they carry a lot of sports teams t-shirts and jerseys. I got a Rockets jersey and a Texans jersey for my puppy. They were $24.99 each but the quality is awesome, just like a real jersey. I noticed they also have a variety of styles in A&M gear, UT, and Dallas Cowboys. Great for football season! read more
