Got at the grooming with my bichon frise for our appointment, JOYCE was going to do his grooming didn't bother to say hi, good morning or whatever! 0 customer service, she notified me she was going to shave him, I accepted because I knew he's coat wouldn't be easy to work,he had tangles... I can't brush him because every time I do I have asthma crises ...Ok then JOYCE called me 4 hours latter telling me to pick him up!He was done but to please hurry up cause he was shaking... Her voice seamed scared too..got there the manager was arguing with her, my dog seamed ok,shaking but ok...until I got home and noticed he's bloody ears( you can check the pic I posted here)! Paid 80 bucks for this s...I can understand the tangles but bloody ears?!!! I have been going there for about three years..it has been fine, but lately I have not been happy..The manager of the pet salon was very rude and talked back to me when I asked to speak to my dog's groomer.. the groomer did not do what I asked... the manage said that the groomer had left and I would have to come back when she was there... I asked her to fix the problem and she said no that they worked on commission and that was not her client..I would have to come back...When I got home I noticed that my dog was also cut in his private parts and continued to lick himself till it got really bad..Had to take him to the vet... will not go there again... read more

I went to get my dog groomed. When I walked in (I had already made an appointment) nobody acknowledged me for about 10 minutes as I stood there. I finally had to ask one of the groomers to help get my dog signed in. They said it takes five hours which I still don't believe. I picked him up and he was still shedding like crazy. I paid almost $70 and they did a terrible job. I called the manager and she admitted that they weren't able to do a perfect job because that night was "crazy" busy. They knowingly did a bad grooming and still wanted me to pay. I will not be going back here. read more

I will NEVER have my dog groomed or step foot in this joke of a store again. They blame their lack of training and skill on the animal. My dog has been groomed at multiple different places including other PetSmarts with out issue but this place is nothing short of a disaster. They don't complete the grooming package you pay for and refuse to discount what they did not complete. Complete waste of money and time. I'm so beyond upset with your company. We had our credit card information stolen, and used at your location on Fry Rd in Katy TX. The store management staff were dismissive, and we were told the most they could do is print a copy of BOTH transactions. Yes, 2 back to back transactions for $460. The criminal even used a pet perks number. I called the corporate number and wanted to talk to a regional manager. We want as much information as possible to give to the police as possible when we file a report. Instead of getting what I asked for, I was transferred to the most rude and uncaring woman who didn't care that the company she works for was the setting of fraud. Oh and the store manager lied to us. We were told there is no surveillance cameras in the store, but if that is the case then what are those big black orbs hanging from the ceiling at the registers? Our bank took care of the money, that's not what I'm peeved about. You would think a company this big would care more about matters like this. Shame on you petsmart. read more

I did the drop off program and dropped my cat off at 7:30 am. I called at 1pm to see if he was ready and they said he would be at 5pm. I picked him up at six to find him covered in urin from the stomach down and terrified with dried urin crusted on the bottom of his kennel. Then I get a call at 6:45pm saying that he did not receive the vaccine he had went for! That means he was there in the kennel for nearly twelve hours without being taken out- no potty breaks, no interaction, no care from the vet! I am very displeased! They didn't even give him his favorite toy which I had personally handed to them. To see my cat that scared and stressed was heartbreaking. read more

Poor customer service for their grooming department. Grooming closes at 6pm on Sunday's but they turned me down for a nail grind at 5:40pm saying they are done for the day because they have to clean and need to get home. The nail grind takes 5 mins at most. I have 3 dogs that I take their regularly for grooming and unfortunatley they have lost my business. I guess the last half hour they are not really open but only to get ready to close for the day. A shame. read more

I dropped my two dogs to be groomed this morning at PetSmart on Katy Freeway near Fry Road. I am very disappointed! Now, mind you, I keep my dogs up to date on vet checks, flea meds & heart worm. My dogs are well taken care of and live inside my home. I went over the regular information with the groomer. I showed him some spots on my dog that were sensative and to be cautious with when he groomed him. When I went over my dog with the groomer I didn't see any fleas as I brushed aside his hair. My dogs are walking flea bombs according to their monthly flea application products and I have never had problems with fleas. An hour after dropping off my dogs I receive a call from a groomer stating that my dogs "had fleas jumping off of them" and they would have to charge "additional fees for flea baths". I was furious that my dogs were "covered" with fleas. I was so furious that not only did I call my vet, but also the manufacturer of my dog's flea medication. I was reassured by both my vet and the vet of the manufacturer that the flea medication does its job. However, if the dog is exposed to an area where fleas are thriving, the fleas will get onto the dog "but they will die off in a matter of hours because the flea meds stay in the animal's system". I gathered this information and the phone numbers of both vets that assured me of these facts and called PetSmart and spoke to the store manager. I was reassured that I would not be charged an extra fee. However, I am VERY disappointed and upset that I placed my dogs in a situation such as this! The fact that I exposed my pets to a flea infested kennel is appaling! Many people do not keep up with their animals and believe that a "flea bath" will suffice for keeping a pet healthy. It is very ignorant on the owner's part if they believe this is all a pet needs! I am so angry that I had to go through an experience like this. This groomer needs to flea bomb and treat their facility. read more

I will never go here again after my experience. I was trying to purchase a crate for my dog. Spending good money. They happened to be doing adoptions there. The people running the adoptions told me to leave because their dogs were not well behaved enough to stand being near my quite dog while I shopped on the crate section. This store does not understand the concept of customer service. My 2nd time to place an online order was not fulfilled although the website says it's available (both times). The cashier named Raven was borderline rude and cannot accept constructive criticism when I told her her personality could use some improvement, and maybe it would improve when she grew up. She indignantly explained, "I'M 20 YEARS OLD. I'M GROWN UP!" Then she threw her hands in the air, called for another associate to finish my return and stomped off. I will NOT be going back. Today is January 20, 2018. As I stood in a long line to pay for my pet food I noticed a groomer behind the glass holding a small black puppy by the throat as she groomed it. The puppy was shaking and obviously uncomfortable. She threw the puppy around as she groomed it. The dog was not comfortable and it was not a good experience for it. I confronted the groomer who defended herself saying it was a puppy and that was why it was shaking. I am sure being held by your neck is not comfortable I wonder if the groomer would like someone to hold her up by her neck and cut her hair. I would never ever recommend this location for grooming they do not take care of their animals. This grooming salon should be shut down as it has had other issues in the past. read more

Well it's a big box pet center so it doesn't provide boutique services but most of the staff is friendly and helpful. The biggest plus is that they match prices with Chewy online!! They carry a big range of dog foods and treats and they do a great job sponsoring pet adoptions most weeks. read more

I purchased a few items on 11/17/2018 at the different location near Katy Mills Mall and needed to return one of them but I couldn't find the receipt. I called the location first and they told me that I could refund if I used the reward card. I called this location since it was closer and I wanted to make sure if I could return here without problems. The lady, Ms. Toy was super kind and warm on the phone! She said clearly that I could return with very pleasant manner. When I got there, she remembered I called when I said at the cashier and she took care of me. After trying two (or was it three??) vets over the past 6 months, my husband and I were at a cross road. We knew our puppy was sick. But no one could tell us what was wrong or what to do, they could only tell us how much money it would be (and it was a lot.) In two hours the vet at this place had solved our problems and given us enough medication for weeks. The bill was $300, which isn't cheap, but is still better than our other vets and, a week later, it appears that the problem is solved. I'll take it!!! read more

I was a little nervous after reading the reviews but decided to give them a chance. I'm so glad I did! I took my cat to Joyce the cat groomer and she did a fantastic job. Even though all the groomers were extremely busy they all looked up and welcomed me when I arrived. Since I had gotten there a little early I was extremely grateful when the groomers informed me that Joyce (cat groomer) would arrive in a few minutes. She seemed very calm when handling my cat. When I picked up my cat 3 hours later I was worried she's be extremely stressed. Instead she seemed annoyed with me for leaving her but was much more calm than I expected. When I got home I let her out of her kennel and she calmly walked out of it. I will definitely take her back as long as I can get Joyce to groom her. read more

Never go a call to let me know my dog was ready. I dropped off for a 9AM appointment on a WEDNESDAY! They weren't busy- tons of openings on the online appointment book. Finally called them at 6:30PM to find out the groomer had already left for the day and no one had tried reaching me. My dog had been ready as for as anyone could tell since 2PM. They left her in a cage for 4 hours. Will not be using Petsmart anymore and recommend anyone who likes their dog to not do business with the grooming salon. read more

This place is only ok! I think it's a bit expensive and the employees are not at all nice to the costumbers. I understand they are shaving dogs all day, but common on! I took my pet here and when I picked her up, there was razor burn all over her underside. Three different people there acted like they had no idea what it was, and tried saying it was a rash, and that it had spread. Ha! I was then instructed to take my pet to the vet at Banfield to find out what the cause was. The vet came back and confirmed it was razor burn from the POS that groomed my pet. After informing the person that groomed my pet that the vet indeed confirmed that it was his fault, he still refused to take responsibility for his actions. He also wrote a negative review of my pet on the status brochure/card they provide at the end. He mentioned that my dog was a, spaz. Keep in mind, I have been taking my dog to PetSmart grooming salon's for about five years and never heard this before - in fact, I have always heard the complete opposite. I guess when you cut too close with the razor and burn/scrape my dog's skin, yeah, she might be a little spastic. This POS should not be allowed to groom pets as a career. I was able to speak with the grooming salon manager, and she assured me that if I ever brought my pet back there, the next grooming would be on her. read more

Went to see if any Robo hamsters were still available. I believed I saw one hiding in the tiny structure they had because Robos sleep during the day. I asked a cashier for help to see if someone could check for me and she contacted someone by radio. Waited for a bit. So I asked someone else stocking in an isle. She said the two employees who had keys that could help me were currently helping someone else and I was next in line. The store was not crowded and I waited standing by the small animals for over half an hour. So as I was walking out the store empty handed I saw two employees just talking. They need more employees with keys to the small animal cages. read more

This location is a joke. Both at the groomers and the vet. I took my Shih Tzu for a bath and haircut. Lady asked me if i wanted a bear face, i say yes. I drop off my dog for a 10am appointment and they said he will be ready at 3pm. Fine. I come back at 3.10pm, im told he is not ready and it will be about 20mins. As she tells me this, there was another groomer that was shaving a miniature schnauzer puppy and was being very brutal! Grabbing the face like she was about to yank it off!!! Pup was crying and all she could say was, "stop that!" when i get my dog, he looks nothing like a bear!!! He looked like a blind person shaved him. Fur was uneven, head looked too big, it was sad!!! I always drove to the one on Westheimer and Eldridge all the way from Katy, just because they ar that good! They act like they love animals. This other one on I-10, it should close the grooming section and do some serious training. If you love your dog, please sacrifice the drive for him/her. read more

So my wife and I just bought a $90 birdcage to come home and find that we were only provided with one feeder. At the time we didnt think anything of it and decided just to use a bowl. Once we started to see how much feed was being wasted from our parakeets tipping the bowl we decided to go back and purchase a feeder. Easy right..., at least we thought so. So I go in to find all the cages do indeed come with two feeders and so I grabbed one to see if there were any I can buy and there weren't. I decided to ask a clerk and they called for help which ended up being a manager. When I asked and explained the situation she said I should be able to find one online just not at the store. she then showed me one that when put in the beautiful cage I have would stick out like a sore thumb. Puzzled I was that she didn't offer to give me the feeder that was missing in the first place yet she tried to sell me an $11 feeder. I may simply return the cage for another one but this place has terrible customer service from management and I surely will not be spending anymore of my money here. Everything Pet is just down the street and They are much better to deal with. read more

Be careful which groomer you use. I've used Ena (spelling?) a couple of times with great success, I spotted her a few times prior to using PetSmart for grooming and she always talks softly and gently pets the dogs she s grooming. Unfortunately, due to actions of another groomer that I witnessed this afternoon I will never use PetSmart grooming again. I was waiting for someone to bring my dog up front after her grooming session and was shocked to see another groomer, a short girl with long red hair, actually hit the little white poodle she was grooming. To begin with, it was blatantly obvious she had no desire to actually be there as she had a scowl on her face the whole time and continually yelled at the dog. It appeared to be a young, very hyper dog, but that is never an excuse for hitting an animal. She acted like the dog bit her and slammed a brush in its mouth and then pretended to jerk her hand away and smacked it in the head. I had a clear view and it was a blatant attack on the dog. When she still wasn't satisfied that the dog was behaving well enough, she actually raised the restraint on the table so high, it appeared to half hang the dog as its back legs were the only thing touching the table. After doing this, she looked around and realized I saw her and immediately started scowling at me and trying to stare at me. I immediately told the groomer closest to me that she just hit a dog and asked where the manager was. I was informed to have a cashier page one. I quickly gathered my dog and left the grooming area and sought an employee to page a manager. As I was waiting, I looked back in the grooming area to find her shooting me dirty looks and was quite certain by reading her lips that "effing *itch" was being repeated over and over. When I told the manager of what I witnessed and how I was now uncertain that my dog was not being hit when I was not around, his response was "no one is hitting your dog" . How would he know??? He has employees who are hitting animals in public and that's his answer?? I was appalled! People like that should not be permitted around animals, if you can't handle difficult animals than you shouldn't be a groomer. Its a shame that this horrible girl is now resonsible for the loss of a client for another groomer. I just can't take the chance that that wicked little girl may harm my dog. read more

Horrible. We took our dog to be groomed and shaved. When they didn't call us to pick her up, we called them, and they told us they had cut her and taken her to the vet. She was given a prescription for antibiotics which we gave her for the next week. Since being home she is afraid of the door opening and closing, scared of the sound of cellophane rattling, and any loud noise. She shakes constantly and sits with her head hanging down. She has scratched her neck under her chin until it's bloody, possibly a reaction to the antibiotics. She is a small and gentle dog, but they said she was aggressive -- she never was before. Whatever they did to her has given her something like PTSD. She's not the same dog. She is so terrified of everything, I am afraid to even take her to the vet as it would traumatize her further. PetSmart told us not to bring her back. Not to worry, I would never put another animal in their care and I hope nobody else will either. read more
