We took our puppy to get his first grooming with Helen. She was very good with him. We were a bit worried because he does not really care for other dogs. He got an awesome cut and his coat is so sparkly shiny. I even saw him give her a little kiss, so I know he liked her. We will be booking a future appointment with her.

Error by PetSmart giving my dog shots

My dog is in the ER on life support right now. It all started when.... My dog went in for routine shots @ PetSmart in august 2022. I received a letter in the mail 6 months later saying that the shots administered were not kept at the right temperature so the dog has been not protected by those shots and has been / is still at risk and needs to come in by a certain date to rectify the situation. I bring him in to get his shots and he comes out with a whooping cough and has been severely sick since. I tried to address the issue with personnel and they called me a liar and denied what had happened. Moreover, they overcharged me and were unapologetic throughout the entire process. He is on oxygen and an IV at pet urgent care right now and I just wrote a check for $5k to keep him alive overnight. Have read about other pets dying at PetSmart recently as well. Will be pursuing legal action asap. I have videos and documented mail aforementioned. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.

Big reputation

If they sold Pentecostal stuff and Pentagrams, they'd be Pentmart. They don't. I'm glad. Barbie likes PetSmart maybe a little bit more than Petco. It depends on the day and the location. When we go to PetSmart this is often the one that she goes to way up on Taylor. It's not the closest to our house but she finds better deals here and likes the employees here. I can't really tell the difference between the two stores. She said: This Petsmart is good. One of my friends used to work here. They have a great selection of cat food and cat toys. They had the cutest cat scratchers when I went. My cats love the scratchers. I'd give them 5 if not for being a big chain, and being so expensive.

This was the only location that had this in stock, a welcome home present for a dog I was fostering a few days as he recovered from surgery

I was displeased with several aspects of my shopping experience at this store. Having perused the jolly ole website in advance I knew this was the one store in the entire city that had the item I wanted to pick up for a stray dog I had agreed to foster for a few days, in an attempt to fill the void in my life left behind by my own dog's death earlier this year, less than six months after my dad had also died. So I wasn't here because I thought it was going to be a fun time. I had to be here after work one night to get the one thing the internet told me about, and some other things since I was here already. My usual store, when my own dog was still alive, was the Shepherd loc. Prices there were usually reflective of what was on the internet without markup. Meanwhile here things were 2-3x the price of things on the internet, except for a small number of items. I had wanted to "have it all" in a Carrie "Destroyer of Worlds" Bradshaw moment where after a long day of work I only had to visit one store to get everything; but instead I had to visit multiple stores since I am not a fan of paying rapidly ballooning multiplier prices like a drunken sailor slinging gold doubloons, and syphilis, everywhere because hey, why not, when in Rome. The made-in-China (as #MAGA as you can get according to the reelect The Donald campaign) dog collars were 2x the price on petsmart's internet webpage, the leashes 3x. What to heck, buddy. For a cheap shitty nylon blend that needs to last a maximum of four days [aggressive scarf flip] I THINK NOT. Meanwhile around yonder, in the literal armpit of the store as far out of sight and out of mind as it could be, I found the one item (the last two in stock) I came to buy for my short term pooch. Of course not a single worker was on the floor to assist even trying to locate this, I had to just sashay around until we stumbled into each other. Shepherd has actual $0.99 toys near the register and you get what you pay for if your dog has any teeth. But these $2.99 ones cost two dollars more and were probably even worse quality than I get at the $0.99 range. But I really wanted that gat dang rocket and UFO so I was a """big""" spender that the sailors and soldiers beckon to from the darkened alleys during fleet week. The line at the ONE register open stretched well back from where a normal line would develop and stretched back into the back of the store. A second register finally opened after the long line had become embarrassing and some people had actually just dropped their baskets and left the store. I spent far more time in line than I ever wanted to. And I still had to visit another few stores to finish stocking up for my baby-for-the-weekend once the vet released him into my care to monitor him, and pet him, as he recovered from surgery. When you have the one on Shepherd there is really no good reason to visit this one. You wait in line forever and pay 2-3x the price of the things they are at Shepherd or on the internet if you can wait for the shipping to take place. Meanwhile if you use chewy or amazon you pay considerably less, get free shipping, and don't need to get off of your gin soaked bean-bag chair until you need to answer the door and the mailman tips you for the pleasure.

After several training inquiries with multiple companies, I immediately heard back from Karma, and a call with the owner was set up. He asked me all about Juice and explained the options he thought would be best. After deciding on "board and train" he said he thought he had the perfect person in mind and they would reach out soon. A couple days later I received correspondence from Sammye Darling, a trainer for Karma, who wanted to set up a call to talk about Juice. During our call she was very confident that she would be able to help with teaching him basic obedience and jumping. We settled on a 10 day timeframe with the expectation that it would be imperative to continue the training ourselves afterwards. (She would've preferred 14 days because that last few days is really when the training sinks in but I assured her we would stay on it) Scheduling was easy and convenient while we went out of town on vacation. Sammye was warm, gentle, and friendly upon dropping Juice off with her and I trusted her immediately. She stayed in constant communication with us, sending pictures, and updates on his progress. He took some time, he's stubborn, but eventually she saw the switch and said he was doing great! I missed him so much but knew he was in good hands with Sammye. Fast forward 10 days later and the day came to pick him up and I couldn't wait to see him. I'll spare you all the details of baby talk, kisses, hugs, etc. but it was a joyous reunion that had us in awe of the things he had learned. We spent about an hour there learning the commands, how to reward them, and practicing before heading home. She worked wonders and we were so excited to go home and continue the work. Before leaving we scheduled our follow up in person training session for a couple weeks out so Sammye could come see him in his own environment and see if we actually kept up with the training which we did! He is doing great! No, he's not perfect and we're still working on certain things but he's a different dog in many aspects. He has a "place" for when we're eating and now does it without asking and gets "off" the bed when it's time (he's too big to sleep with us) so he has his own. Those are two giant wins for us and we can't thank Sammye enough! He learned so much more and we continue to work with him everyday. Karma was professional and quick to respond which is always something I appreciate. Sammye, our trainer, was a delight who was professional, caring, thoughtful, hard-working, and made Juice feel right at home (in her own home) while teaching him some manners. I can't recommend her enough! Juice definitely missed her and was so excited to see her when she came over which further solidified how amazing she was. Call Karma and ask for Sammye as your trainer. You won't regret it!

Judge for yourself if the injuries are scratches or bite marks and if a dog is physically able to scratch itself on the inside of its ear. They are very clearly puncture wounds to us and our vet. --------------------------------------- Dropped off our blind dog 11.24.2025 at roughly 3pm. The morning of 11.28.2025 we received a message that his ear had been bleeding and they believed it was from scratching so they provided him with the expected medical care. Afternoon of 11.29.2025 they told us he was "shaking". My wife was able to pick him up early and take him to the emergency vet (Saturday evening and regular vet closed) who shaved and treated the area and gave him antibiotics. We did follow-up with our regular vet and they determined that the injuries were puncture wounds from a dog attack. When we told them Fur Paws said the injuries were from him scratching himself they looked at us like we had just told them 1 + 1 = 3. In spite of the records we provided from the vet showing his treatment history and their diagnosis of "dog bite wounds and vestibular disease" Fur Paws claims he arrived there with some condition that led to him scratching himself (on the inside of his ear too!). He arrived 11.24, they noticed wounds 11.28, and by the afternoon of 11.29 he was shaking so he had a fever. It takes 24-72 hours for infection and then a fever to occur so one can do the math on their claim that he arrived with an ailment already. Then you add in that these are clearly not scratch marks and you see that they're questioning our intelligence with their explanation. Send your dog here at your own risk.

Unfortunately, I don't feel that learning curves covers how I picked him up on Tuesday. I chose this place through referral, and also customer review. My gal never had any issues utilizing this place previously. They have a good location, and their cost isn't too bad considering where it is. I had him in for 4 nights, and provided the food. and some treats. First recognition. I did get an email about him having stomach issues and diarrhea. I appreciate that notification. When I arrived to pick him up, I was waiting in the front and there was a lady (not sure if she's a manager or owner), and we chatted about his stay. She mentioned he was behaving a bit more aggressively and bullying a bit, and had to be kept from some of the other dogs. That, I completely understand. He's a big boi for a two year old, and we're still working on training some of those habits out. Fights and injuries were not mentioned. When they brought him out, he had marks on the bridge of his nose and his lip. This was not reported to me, and when I asked they said it may have been due to him being anxious in his cage. Except that they were not rubbing wounds, they are four puncture wounds. He also smelled atrociously, and required an immediate bath. He had brown stains on his legs and hind quarters. This man would not sit in his own stool unless he had to. If it wasn't his own, then the cage wasn't clean. And his breath smelled just as bad as what I had to wash off of him. If he wasn't allowed out with others, and was given his normal diet, his breath shouldn't have deteriorated to such a degree. When he came out of the door, he wasn't excited, he was fearful. While separation can be a traumatic experience, this wasn't that kind of emotion. We've been separated for weeks before, I know what that is like. Even after two days since pickup, he still not quite right after this experience. From a logical perspective of baseline customer service: 1. If my dog is bleeding from his face, you need to report it to me. 2. He shouldn't be covered in feces. 3. With my original inquiry, I and was told what may have happened. That doesn't work well for me. If he was separated, in a controlled environment, we should know exactly what happened. And no one should be covered in feces. Follow Up - I wrote to the facility, and they responded quickly both times. They apologized for his condition, and that protocol was not followed. Though it doesn't change my experience, I appreciate that. They were also nice enough to offer a credit, and grooming. Things aren't always perfect, I get it. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS .... $300 down the drain and they won't refund or return my calls or texts…read more In January, I contacted the owner Dean about helping me find a breed of puppy that is hard to find. I told him I'd already done my research and was speaking to a couple of breeders outside Texas and that everyone in Texas does not have any puppies available in the near future. After 2 phone calls, Dean - with his big vibrato, told me he would help me search and find me a puppy for $300 (which would include locating a puppy and a first kennel training session once the puppy is home.) after I paid the $ he went quiet. I only heard from him 1 more time - when I CALLED HIM a week later to ask about any progress. He told me he emailed the 2 breeders I was already in touch with and he had asked around Texas and that there are no puppies available in the near future ( which I had already TOLD HIM.) I contacted the 2 breeders he said he emailed (mostly because I didn't know what he would say and worried his bold personality might be off putting) and they both said they had NOT received any communication from him, at all. So, I gave it a few weeks and decided to text Dean a polite professional text asking for the return of my $300 since he did not in fact do anything. .... His reply... NOTHING ... so I resent the text and called his # and left a message a few days later ... NO REPLY. Dean just ghosted me after he swindled me out of $300. Bad business person, aggressive personality, con man. I do not recommend Dean or Club Canine

Very disappointed with this local franchise of Bark Busters that claim such a vaunted reputation spanning several years. We engaged Bark Busters for our dogs' (2) behaviors. In discussion before the actual training session, we were told we would not have to pay if not satisfied. In later discussion, it was claimed by the trainer, Pat C, that we had been told we had to say we were not going to pay by the very end of the training session, and not any later. Naturally, we disagree over this restriction on timing. We could not get a refund from him. The lesson required making a particular sound which I cannot make for legitimate medical reasons. That, and other items, were never told us before we engaged the lesson. We were told it was a positive raining. It was not. Again, we were not apprised of program components before we engaged the training service. There was very little awareness of what the training involved which could have been, and should've been, explained before. If it is considered proprietary material, then a broad scope of whatever would take place could've been made. It turned out, the methods were not revealed until the session began. As it became revealed, the philosophy was misrepresented. The positivity was not evident in training. It was not cruel, but it was not positive. My wife inquired about what positive would be. She was told he would deal with that later. Never happened. The trainer was pleasant enough, though. By the end of the lesson, why didn't we say anything and decline to pay. First, we didn't know that was when we had to mention it, and the only time, despite what Pat (our trainer) may claim he said. Second, we were so overwhelmed with information and parts of training we were still wondering about, as they had not been addressed, we were sort of mentally "floating" by the end of session. U strongly suggest, given this franchisee's "guarantee," that you do noy pay, and give yourself a chance to think about what you experienced in the training (BTW, this arrangement for the dissatisfied paying/or not by the very end of the training session or not is not a company-wide one. Third, payment is an almost automatic response to pay for a person's labors when the job is done. When we asked for a refund, we were told we had passed the deadline and couldn't get one. I strongly suggest. If you want to consider Bark Busters, particularly the franchisee we had train us, make that you feel comfortable and informed of how the training will be presented and its content. I cannot speak for all trainers, but Pat made statements that weren't kept, did not disclose methods and philosophy beforehand, and only (not enough to make an informed decision) the day prior to the session did we get anything that told us some of the content of the program. The training was incomplete, ineffective, showed no promise, despite the claim of the million dogs that allegedly have trained by this company. However, I cannot make a judgement on the parent company, but only on the way this franchisee presented the material and the way he ran his franchise, and my experience.
