I had to have her put to sleep on February 21 as they wasted a week with no care for my dog. I was given low fat food and told to feed her this. There were no instructions and the vet never talked to me. If she had had sufficient care it is possible Abby would have come through, but they did not care , except to tell me there would be extra charge to use a credit card. I carried her to another vet, but by then it was too late. The danger was irreversible. She went into kidney failure and I had to put my heart dog to sleep. All because they were so uncaring, would not talk to me and gave no hint as to the care she needed. It still makes me so angry remembering the, rude girl hanging up on me when I called and wanted to talk to the vet. Unbeknown to me they did not have a regular vet only temps, and techs at some points, I was told by one of the staff later, the doctors who started the practice had retired and sold out to a chain. Whether this is true I don't know, but why would she lie.

I use them when one of my dogs needs an expert or special care or when I flat-out feel their life is in danger or something serious is going on. I have probably one of the top ten hardest to vet dogs in Houston---a paralyzed Rottie named Lucky. He is soooo vet savvy after 8 years of extensive care that he is a handful to say the least. Literally, Heidi and Doc Rosser are two of the only medical professional team in H-town that he trusts to poke, prod, and care for him. When other docs wanted to euthanize him, Doc Rosser stepped in and saved the day. WAAC treated him every other day while I was at work for months to save his life and his feet from infected foot wounds that another doc who didn't really relate to him wanted to give up on, Even the rock stars at Vergi, where he has been quite a few times, got to a point where they couldn't handle him too well and had to call me in the middle of the night to assist with things. Heidi knows he is a big baby and knows how to work him into submission, eventually. In addition to Mr. Luck Man, WAAC has saved quite a few of my other dogs over the decades. I trust them explicitly with my kids when my kids need them! Side note: their parking lot also saved my Mustang during a flash flood back during the Women's World Cup like in 2015. I was on my way to meet friends and got caught in rising water there and pulled into one of WAAC's elevated spots at like 5:15 pm. Just so happened that there is a pub next door and I got to watch the game and bought a round for the staff, who like me, were stuck there for a while.

The vet stood behind the reception desk, with all of the receptionist running back and forth and people out in the lobby. She was yelling at me and expecting to conduct her findings from behind the desk! I was shocked!. I said just give me my cat we need to return when you have an exam room available. They called and told me I owed them for the visit and an email stating the same. Not one call or email saying they were sorry about their neglect. The same thing happened to my friend with her dog. He was in the room and the dog was having an ultrasound when a woman barged in an saud this is my scheduled room. When I came to the clinic they informed me that to be able to even figure out what was wrong with him, I had to spend $1000 for an overnight stay at an animal hospital - They informed me that my dog wasn't going to last the month and I should purchase a credit card through them. I didn't feel comfortable purchasing a credit card or spending money that I honestly didn't have , And decided if my dog is going to pass away, he should pass away, free, and in the comfort of his home with his family. not in a clinic Surrounded by people he doesn't know. When I told the nurses of my decision, the main receptionist made sure to look me in the eye and In an arrogant tone, said " I hope you know he's gonna suffer" Because I was pretty young. I didn't say anything, and it honestly made me feel like shit for not having the funds to help my dog. It's one thing to not be able to give the necessary help for your pets because clinics and animal hospitals want to charge an arm and a leg for practically Anything - But it's another to shame somebody for not having the funds and go out of your way to point out that fact to let them know, their dog is gonna suffer more This is a horrible fucking clinic. RAAH does it again! These guys are seriously the best. They've fit me in for same-day appointments…read moretwice now. They love my toy poodle Lugosi and treat him very well. I never feel anxious about dropping him off because I know he'll be well taken care of. Lugosi was having diarrhea & vomiting since Saturday evening, they were able to fit me in same-day Monday and the whole appointment was finished in less than 20 minutes. The DVM we visited studied our boy's medical record thoroughly before she came in to answer the 101 questions we had, fearing he had Cushing Disease. He does indeed have it. The most accurate testing was recommended by Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital to an internal medicine DVM (not Gulf Coast). Richmond told us outright, we want your pup to be diagnosed asap under care, but we recommend the test be performed by a specialist. Best decision ever. Our boy is doing well thanks to Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital. Not the most economical (as they don't exist) but Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital is trustworthy, which is what we really needed.
