This place is terrible. They advertise as saving money, but it's a huge waste of time. I walked in to get shots, they told me to come back. I came back and the Dr was out. Already annoyed because I had to take work off. They told me they could schedule me for a Saturday, then called the day before asking to reschedule. I show up the rescheduled date (again took off work for the) and they say that they texted me to cancel. I never got their text. A call would have been nice? No compassion from the front office staff, not even an I'm sorry. I understand that their vet is sick, but why even keep the practice open in this time if you don't have a vet? Took my baby Pozz here today fir a tooth extraction and I would recommend this place to any and everybody I know. Everybody was so super nice informative and just simply awesome. I can not say enough good things about palm to paws their vets and employees. They went the extra distance to make sure the homeless dog i brought in was well cared for. They not only took great care of his medical needs but also sat with him constantly,(day AND night) in order to reassure him and provide the emotional comfort he needed. You would think the cost for surgery and the need for a constant companion would be astronomical but was extremely reasonable. Dr. Dev and his staff provided A++ medical care at a very low cost. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgable. I recommend them to anyone who asks. Great people with great compassion and good hearts! The homeless dog is no longer homeless and his first experience inside a building was so positive he has no fear of being indoors, around people and now shows a lot of trust. I took my cat in for a cleaning, they had a very easy process of check in and release and the procedure was less expensive than other vets. An additional plus was Dr. Rajan met with me at the begining and end of the visit and was the individual to give me a call when the procedure was finished. I recently began taking care of a feral cat foursome at my workplace. You know the cat lady in me couldn't possibly resist feeding starving kitties! However, building maintenance, security, and management all mentioned that the same female cat had been producing offspring season after season, with most of her kittens usually dying somewhere along the way. And repeat! I solicited the help of a seasoned feral cat trapper, and with building management's blessing, we managed to catch three of the skittish cats and have them sterilized. Then it was up to me to trap the last one, which I wasn't feeling too confident about . . . Turns out success was swift on a quiet Friday night and I suddenly found myself with a yowling and writhing cat in a covered cat trap. I was concerned about the possibility of having to house the poor kitten in my garage in the trap for the weekend being that most vet clinics don't seem to be open on weekends. However, the seasoned feral cat trapper managed to negotiate an appointment with Palm to Paws the next day (typically you need to make an appointment in advance), which was pretty awesome because Palm to Paws' vet and front desk staff happens to be one of her favorites. Dropping off my feral and picking him up was a breeze. However, there was a plot twist, apparently my little "girl" actually ended up being a already-neutered boy! Palm to Paws just charged me $50 for the anesthesia and ear notch as opposed to the $65 for the full feral sterilization package (it may be $85 now based on the website). I returned to pick him up around 11 a.m. and there was a line of six or so people waiting with their pets to take advantage of the low cost health services. The front desk seemed to process everyone pretty darn efficiently. I had only really heard of SNAP up until this point, in terms of low cost vet clinics. But I understand it's usually packed and visit there can end up feeling like attending a poorly executed circus show. But I gotta say with this inexpensive and awesome clinic around, there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for people to not sterilize and properly vaccinate their cats and dogs (and rabbits too!). Seriously Houstonians, get it the hell together!!! And Palms to Paws is open on weekends too, to boot. In closing, absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for competent veterinary care on a budget. read more

Impressed. I had a feral cat that adopted our backyard. We wanted to get him neutered and vaccinated. HOPE feral cat program loaned me a trap and referred me to a list of three vets in Houston that has a reduced rate feral cat package. I selected Palm to Paws and I'm happy that I did. For $65, my feral cat was neutered and vaccinated. For an extra $20, they treated him for fleas and intestinal parasites (at my request). He was treated like any other pet at the vet. The receptionist carried the heavy trap in for me. When I arrived to pick up the cat, the vet carried the cat out to my car. They gave me advice on what to do and not do with the feral cat. They never tried to upcharge me or try to sell me things the feral cat didn't need. They even said I didn't need the flea treatment, but he needed it in my opinion and they did it. The cat did really well and was released the next day. Unfortunately, he took off and hasn't been back (we miss him!). The front office staff and vet had great customer service and were so pleasant to deal with. The vet is nowhere near my house, so I won't be using him for my three dogs. But, I will absolutely be back if we ever have another feral cat. $65 at Palm to Paws vs. $300 quoted to me by my regular vet. read more

Dr Rajan is a gifted vet. He is amazing and I miss him! Haven't been in about five years I believe. Went numerous times with many of my cats and my dog when he had liver failure. I had went to some vet in Cypress and he gave my dog meds for the liver failure and it did not work. Went to Dr Raj and he saved my dog! He added some meds and my dog was better by the next day! Had a kitten with anal prolapse. Went to a sleazy vet off Louetta who I didn't know at the time had numerous complaints with the medical board, and she failed to do a simple surgery to fix the prolapse correctly. Went to Dr Raj and he took care of Kitty Perry and she got to stay the night so he could monitor her. Dr Raj really took a liking to Kitty Perry! I trust him 1 million percent and the people who live close to the clinic are lucky to have such a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian who loves animals. Kitty Perry is doing great! Oh also I almost forgot to mention. The staff is awesome!!! Not sure if Mariana is still there but she certainly was a sweetheart. Great place! Highly highly recommend! read more

I do animal rescue. I am working an animal hoarding situation and have vetted 4 dogs at this clinic. 3/4 are siblings. 2/4 had the exact same skin condition--rough, sandpapery, hair loss type conditions. When dog 1 went I suspected a yeast infection. Skin scraping revealed zero mites or mange. Told to use oatmeal shampoo and flea treatment. A week later I bring the sister and this time am told the exact same skin condition is now a yeast infection and this time I'm given an Rx. So I mention dog 1 and ask for a duplicate of the Rx since dog 1 had been there 2 times in the last 2 weeks and has the exact same skin problem. They say nope. I express my frustration and disbelief. Two dogs of the same litter on the same property and the vet says no. Unbelievable. Literally had seen the dog days before the one they said now had the yeast infection. Today I am told I am no longer allowed to return to this location which is fine but good lord. I was dealing with the vet tech and even said, "I get you're the messenger but this is absolutely ridiculous." Vet tech said I yelled at her and was confrontational. Well maybe I'm confrontational because In the last month I've spent over $1200 at this clinic and had waited 3.5 hours and it won't give me the meds for the same exact condition the brother they've 2 precious times has. I mean, really? Another visit with a dog from the same hoarder was a grumpy, frightened, blind, toothless terrier. Vet tech wouldn't even try to get him out of the cage. I am sorry. If you are running a vet clinic your staff should know how to handle 1. Dissatisfied customers with reasonable complaints and 2. An ornery dog. Is this not what schooling is for?? Finally, if you go here be prepared to wait a long ass time. I've been here on 4 separate occasions and have waited no less than 2 hours every time. This last time was over 3.5 hours. Bottom line: do not go here. In the rescue community this clinic has a bad rep. They cannot handle a frustrated customer with a valid issue or handle a 10 year old toothless terrier. I took my kitty here to get spayed and had a great experience. Her incision is super tiny and she healed very well. The vet techs are amazing and you can tell the doctor really has a passion for animals. This place is a walk-in clinic so be prepared to wait. I got there at 8:45 and waited until 11:40 to be seen. The wait times they give you aren't always accurate either ('not their fault) but just be prepared for it to take up a significant part of your day. Such a positive experience. Finding a vet who spayed rabbits was quite difficult. Either the price was astronomical or the wait list was a month long. When I called Palm to Paws, the girl I spoke to was so friendly! She answered all my questions, and was able to get me in that same week! (Less than 4 days later). The process of dropping her off for surgery was seamless. The doctor answered all of my questions and gave me in depth information on aftercare, since a rabbit's recovery is different than dogs and cats. When I picked her up, everything was ready to go. The nurse and front office staff answered all of my questions, were super friendly, and were especially kind to my little bunny. I highly recommend this vet for surgeries! Will be spreading the word. This is not so much a review but an open letter apology to Dr. Rajan for my cat's behavior. Cat Cobain is for the lack of a better term a monster. To say he was difficult patient would be an understatement. I think we all thought we were going to be maimed being in trapped in a examination room with him. I won't go into the details of what happened in that exam room. Dr. Rajan kept calm and was very patient with my cat. In the end he wasn't able to do the examination citing that he was too aggressive, which is something I've heard before. But he was able to administer the rabies vaccine, which was a relief. Him and his assistant had to get real creative with that one. I am at a lost of what to do with my cat. Luckily Dr. Rajan actually gave me some advice on how to modify his behavior. He also prescribed some Feliway pheromone spray to use at home to hopefully calm him down. It remains to be seen whether that works. But it's still more than what my previous vet at Briarcrest offered. I am grateful for that. It's worth to mention that Palm to Paws is not like a regular vet office and should not be treated as such. It's more of a place where you can get vaccines and costlier procedures done at a discounted price. I guess the human equivalent would be a state run public health department/clinic. Though I'm not sure if this is a state run facility. Which means you still need to have a regular vet for your pet so there is continuity of care. In fact I was referred here by the Memorial Cat Hospital. I paid $20 for a rabies vaccine that would have costed $60+ there. I also love how transparent the prices are here. Most places you either have to call and ask, which I think is bull crap. The prices are displayed on the website. The wellness hours are limited from 11 - 2, but as long as you sign in before 2, you will be seen. There are no appointments as they are walk in only. I highly recommend coming on Monday or Thursday as their weekend hours are busy and they are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I really can't recommend Dr. Rajan enough. He is a wonderful and competent veterinarian. I've always respected veterinarians. Animals are difficult to treat and vet school is as rigorous medical school without the monetary reward at the end of the road. Especially if you run a low cost clinic. He must really love animals and it clearly shows. read more

This veterinary surgeon might be the coolest thing I found on Yelp so far! I've been trying to get my new rescue foster dog into a vet and hadn't been having any luck for a quick appointment. This place takes walk ins and took me within 5 minutes. The front desk staff, the assistant and the doctor were all extremely nice. They also quoted me an amazing an extremely fair price on eyelid surgery for my Bulldog. They also offer lifetime registration microchips for your pets for only $30 as well. I should also mention they were extremely nice about the fact that my Great Dane was so nervous about getting micro-chipped he pooped all over the staff. They act like it was totally normal but if you've ever seen a great dane with diarrhea you realize this staff was being beyond exceptionally nice lol. It you have a dog in need of surgery I highly recommend this bad because they are literally a fraction of the price of everywhere else by far and the health care is exceptional! read more

Dr. Rajan is great with our dog. She is an anxious dog and they cater to her needs. They will put you and your dog in an exam room if one is available to wait for the doctor. If a room isn't ready, they are courteous to come out to the parking lot and wave me in when there is a room available. Prices are very reasonable and they will only charge you what needs to be done. A downside to this vet office is that they do not take appointments and hours are limited. Here are some pointers. Even though they say office hours are 8:30-2:00pm CALL first. The doctor might still be in surgery and the admins will tell you a time when the doctor will start seeing animals. We had our puppy, June spayed here as it was the closest available vet that worked with the rescue we adopted her from. June has only been home for 8 days and she has mad a full recovery with her wound being COMPLETELY healed! You can barely tell she ever had surgery. The scar has healed faster than her hair has grown back. June seems to have felt great and was back to her wild thing self the very next day (which made us worry her recovery would take longer.) Furthermore she was only at the vet's office for 5 hours on surgery day. If I didn't know better I would say she never had surgery. My Izzy had been sick on my birthday no less and the animal hospitals wanted to do her surgery for around five thousand dollars. I was referred to this clinic by a friend of mine who is a veterinarian technologist. She said great things about the veterinarians who work here. I called weeks ahead of time to see how the process of payment works and what the costs are for services. The staff was really nice on the phone at the time of my initial questions. I bring my dogs in today and arrive at around 9:20a to sign in and wait to be called back. In total I was at the clinic for about three hours, but I understand how hospitals and clinics work. The veterinarian was great and I appreciated his kindness to my dogs. The veterinarian technologist who was assisting with my dogs was nice as well. I could also hear when they would take my dogs to the back for vaccines and blood work and the staff was very nice to them. My one star rating is due to the front desk staff. I had a question regarding payment and she was very rude and snappy with me over the phone after I left the facility. I'm really disappointed because I was referred here and the staff member is the reason I would not recommend this location to anyone. I had high hopes for this place and I'm so disappointed.
