If you are an early riser and book an 8am or 9am appt before the 10am opening then you'll press a little doorbell on the right side of the entrance for a team member to walk you into the store. Very disappointing experience. My regular groomer was off for the holiday, so I booked an appointment at a nearby PetSmart that had openings. I brought my dog in for a bath and haircut, but when I picked him up, he looked exactly the same--except for being bathed and having his rear trimmed. No proper haircut was done. What made it worse is that they ask you to pay with a tip before you even see your dog. By the time I realized how little had been done, there was nothing I could do--they had already charged me. I felt completely scammed. This location clearly doesn't take grooming seriously, and the payment process removes any accountability. It's no surprise they have only 3 stars--I wish I had read the reviews before going. I won't be coming back, and I do not recommend this grooming service to anyone. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PETSMART FOR GROOMING! My normal groomer was out this week and decided to go with PetSmart for my little guys cut. When I arrived I told the groomer named Tee that he has sensitive skin. I informed them no perfume and I gave them a special shampoo to use. When I picked him up he had rashes under his armpit and on his neck. I called and the groomer said she had to go a blade lower in those areas due to matting...I know there were no matting in those areas because I just gave him a bath the day before. Even if there was, why use such a close shave when I just told you he had sensitive skin? Why did you not tell me that you gave him razor burn when I picked him up so I could monitor him? She was unapologetic and incredibly defensive. The manager on duty Trey Blake is worthless. My dog has been bleeding all day due to the negligence of this place. The manager Kiko there made my visit such a breeze. I work at a Veterinary's office and I do receive a discount on all Purina, Hill's, and Royal Canin food. However, they do not have ANYTHING available for fish flavored pate kitten wet food on any of my portals. (Disappointing, I know) I recently got a new kitten and he's been having problems with dry food and can only have wet food. Purina sent me a freaking coupon for the inconvenience (like great I get free kitten food for a week, but what happens after that - I have to pay full price when that's a benefit I receive for curing animals?) Anyway, Kiko had to come to the front since the coupon was not valid there, even though Purina said I can go anywhere! This was the only Petsmart that had the specific food I was looking for and he accepted the coupon as a curtesy without any problems! We visited this location to see Santa and take some pictures. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately. We did not get far before a staff member asked us if we were looking for Santa and led the way to go. So Mila loves people. She loves people more than other dogs actually. Mila was never scared of Santa but for whatever reason, she put the brakes on this year lol. The staff were great assisting us and put Mila on Santa's lap. She was fine once there but trying to get her to look at the camera? Well that's a mission! Luckily the employee taking the picture had a perfect squeaky toy that worked Mila up lol. They took some pictures and I took some of my own as well. It is tradition I let Mila go on a shopping spree after Santa. We browsed the store and let Mila lead the way. She picked out some squeaky toys, toys with fluff for her to rip apart, and some treats. She had plenty of pets by strangers! We get to the register and the cashier, who looked like Lady Gaga spot on, tried giving Mila a cookie. Mila gets over stimulated in pet stores and does not eat cookies until after. Unfortunately, we did not take any samples. The cashier was super nice and I donated a stuffed animal to I'll children in the hospital and purchased a bag, where the money went to animals. I definitely liked this location a lot. I give my little munchkin a shopping spree every once and a while besides Santa so I will be coming to this location from now on! read more

This review is only for the grooming salon. The store is fine, I can't see how anyone would really complain about it. Staff is always nice and products are generally in stock. I've taken my (5 year old lol) pup to other Petsmarts for groomings in the Dade and Broward area but I've finally found a groomer I love. Jennifer (she goes by Kit) is exceptional. She's very warm, kind, funny and so good with our furry loves. My dog usually comes back traumatized from the other PetSmart locations after a day of grooming (who knows what goes on) but after seeing Kit, she was so happy and her cut was finally EXACTLY what I wanted. I'm not too picky. I told Kit I wanted a cute puppy cut but that she could pretty much do whatever. I loved how my pup came out looking and most importantly she was happy! Our dog loves going there! The groomers are welcoming and make him feel comfortable. He is shy of other dogs and they take that into consideration when making his appointment. I love the report cards after too! PROUD MOM! The deals are good for grooming and the training class we took was wonderful too. This review is only for the grooming. I've been holding off on this review for a long time. I don't derive pleasure out of writing bad reviews, and I really had to think on this one. I have a small high maintenance dog (maltipoo) that requires grooming every 6-8 weeks. I admit there are times when I wait a bit longer due to cost, time, or both- and the poor pooch looks homeless. At that point, the hair in front of his face is long and his vision is obstructed. Then I know I can't wait any longer and I must take him in. You can't usually just walk in and drop your dog off for grooming here. Calling in advance to make an appointment is highly recommended. This is especially true during holidays... any holiday you can think, pet owners rush their precious pups over to the groomer. So if you too need your pup looking fresh for fourth of July then make certain you call at least a week ahead of time. Weekdays are pretty busy as well. If you aren't the type to make advanced appointment you should at least call the day of, it would be a bummer to drive there and they tell you there are no appointments available. They don't really do fit ins. The will tell you it takes about 3 hours. I've had to wait as long as 6 hours. I have taken my dog here several times. I have never been completely happy. In the 7 years that I have had the dog, he has been to some talented groomers, just not here. It seems like they are the Super Cuts for dogs. The fish department: Aside from there never being anyone on staff to assist you and you have to go and find someone every single time- the prices for the fish are comparable to similar chain stores. They do not carry anything exotic or exciting. There is a large selection of living plants- but be very careful with buying one because they tend to have snails, and where there's one- there's 100. Dog food: How do you not have dog food? I went to the store and the excuse was that they were changing distributors and did not have dog food at the time. This did not even give me time to go to Publix- are you serious? Groomers: I have taken my dog several times- and they have never ever done what I have asked. Why is a rounded puppy face so hard to accomplish. I never had so many issues with the pet store where I lived before. UGH! read more

I took my dog to this location a couple weeks ago for a bath. When I walked in, I told the staff that my dog had sensitive skin and provided them with his medicated shampoo. They said they were backed up and would need about 4 hours to complete the job. 2 hours in, the groomer called me to tell me he was brushing my dog and a scab came off which caused my dog to bleed. (I've never brushed my dog so hard he bled, and I told them from the beginning my dog had sensitive skin--which leads me to believe he was rushing) he told me he cleaned up the blood and he was ready to be picked up. He offered no apology and was rather matter a fact. When I arrived the person who bathed my dog wasn't there-- again i'm sure he was rushing. The groomer upfront handed me my bill without a word about what happened. I didn't make a big deal at this point because my dog seemed happy and nick didn't look too bad. As I made my way to the cashier I noticed my dog's face was dirty. I asked the cashier what she thought, and she agreed that it looked like my dog's face had not been washed at all.I took him back to the salon and asked them why I was being charged full price if my dog's face wasn't washed. The groomer on duty said they stop the service if they nick the animal and it starts to bleed. I told her that the person who called did not mention they were unable to finish the bath, and if that was the case why would I pay full price? An employee nicked my dog by brushing him too hard, you didn't wash his face, and now I was expected to pay full price?! Needless to say a manager was called. The manager asked her to wash my dog's face, she protested saying they couldn't wet the dog once he'd been nicked. The manager had to explain to her that the dog didn't have to be submerged in water to wash its face. Another groomer/ assistant ended up stepping in and washing my dog's face. The whole thing took an additional 30-40 mins and I still had to pay full price. The store's manager on duty was apologetic but the lead groomer didn't seem to understand why I didn't want to pay full price for half a job and an injury caused by PETSMART! A few months ago my dog developed kennel cough after coming to this salon for grooming so its safe to say I am done with this location. read more

I found out that PetSmart and Chewy are affiliates. PetSmart will match any of Chewy products which is good to know as PetSmart is EXPENSIVE, B U T....... I RECENTLY PUT IN AN ORDER $156.20 AT CHEWY and these thieving ....... charged me 1}$70.61, $15.48 & $59.25 &10.86 totaling &156.20. on top my my total of $156.20 and was told these "extra charges " would "drop off" as products delivered. SO far , I have received some of the products ordered BUT no charges have "fallen off" this practice is unconscionable, disgusting and they don't give a ......I am STILL waiting for "drop offs" so I hope you all have LOTS of money to spare.!!!!!!!!!! read more

Literally the worst experience I have ever had at any dog store ever. And I've been a dog owner for over 20 years. As ridiculous as this entire experience was I will be as kind as possible. I purchased some coupon book which included a puppy bath, so I called to schedule the bath and asked for them to include a full grooming as well and I would pay the difference. The lady on the phone said no problem, come in at 1230. She then asks, has he had his rabies vaccine? And I said yes just got it today. She said "perfect." I have church at 11. I missed service to bring the dog in. The minute I get there they are overbooked and my appointment had been scheduled as a bath only. Despite my repeated questions about the pricing for full grooming etc, suddenly he's not scheduled for one?! I was told the price would be $20 because he was a puppy and the bath was covered. Lo and behold suddenly the price is $68. That's fine. I'll pay the $68. I want my dog groomed. So then the manager comes and is like well we can offer you a free bath. Lady. I already have a free freaking bath in the coupon book you are offering me nothing! They call four other stores, no one has any availability so I'm like fine just give him a bath. Despite the fact that I had him recently bathed. He's a standard poodle, I adopted him a week ago, his old owners had him with a giant coat, this is miami. So whatever, no cut, but oh! It gets better. Suddenly because it hasn't been 48 hours since the vaccine shot he can't be bathed. Are. You. Kidding. Me. Literally told this to the lady on the phone the day before. Literally!!! What a waste of time. Like your total and absolute screw up. Incompetent staff who could care less of the inconvenience their poorly trained staff caused. This is the largest pet store in the east Hollywood area. They tend to be more expensive than department stores like Walmart or Target but they carry many things those stores don't have. I can usually get help if I need it but I always have to look for a clerk, I have never used their grooming or dog training so I can't comment on that. Pet Smart has their own rewards program but so far I have gotten little benefit out of it. I haven't tried their web-site yet. This is OK for some items but wouldn't buy routine things like food or cat litter there prices are too high. read more
