We were looking for a new groomer and after seeing the positive reviews, came here. If you are not paying attention, you can come up to it very quickly. They are in Downtown Davie and right across from The Beer Barn. You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door. Karina discussed with us how we wanted our dog groomed and we told her what we liked and didn't like. She confirmed what we told her to make sure that we were all on the same page. We were told that our dog would be ready in about 3 hours or so which was fine because we were running around. When it was time to pick up our dog, my husband was leery about how his "little boy" would look and was so happy when he saw him. He looked sooo cute with his tie and he was VERY soft! He had a great day at the salon and even had a photo shoot! They even put him on their Instagram page. Thank you Karina and Alyssia for taking care of him. When I brought my cat in, the person working was very kind to me and I felt like my cat was safe there. After I picked him up, I noticed they cut his whiskers (you're not supposed to), and as time progressed his chest became completely bare due to his hair coming off. I had to take him to the vet and he ended up getting 2 injections for irritation and he has to wear a cone. I was excited with this place at first, but now I'm just disappointed. read more

I had been going to another local groomer for at least 8 months and they slowly started to give me a half done job on my dog. So i went on a hunt and realized this place had been around forever! My dog is very timid because of her past life so bringing her somewhere new is stressful but Kathy treated my dog like it was her own baby! The staff was very welcoming when i arrived and they only seem to have a few dogs in at a time so the stress levels are low. They said my dog would be done in 2 hours and after 2 hours she was done! i love when things are on schedule. My dog has never had such good behavior and attitude being picked up from the groomer before. Her nails were perfect, teeth were shiny and clean and her coat looked like a brand new pattern leather shoe. Will be back every month for my girl to be pampered by the best in town UPDATE 2020 i wrote the previous review back when it was love on a leash. They're just ok now. read more

My husband took my beautiful British Longhair 8 month old kitten in for a bath, hair cut, and nail trim. He specifically said NOT to shave all of his hair. Been to phoenix now 3 times and the first two were great experiences. Sorry to say I probably won't be going back after this last one. Usually my pup and I are greeted at the door with a warm welcome following some very specific questions about what services I'd like done as well as asking for a reference photo which I happen to think is great. This time my pet and I were swiftly met at the door and my dog was on his way to the back before I could even answer the one questioned muttered "long or short?". Trying to further explain what I would like they didn't seem to pay much mind, barely acknowledging my requests and continuing to walk away. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that I've left happy in the past I couldn't be too disappointed in the outcome. I was wrong. My poor pups face being quite obviously longer on one side then the other leaving him lopsided. His entire coat butchered and choppy throughout his body leaving visibly longer and shorter patches, while keeping in mind he was matted a little on his chest there's no excuse for his whole body to be like that. I also specifically asked for his legs to be trimmed the same length at his body not leaving him to look like he has boots but was obviously not acknowledged from the beginning. I recently moved to Broward and had been looking for a trusty groomer in the area. I'm so lucky to have found Kathy and her team who were compassionate, kind, and extremely patient with my dogs. They put up with the tantrum my dog was throwing because he thought they were hurting my senior foster poodle. Not to mention, my poodle was matted and really needed the TLC and they took their time and made him look oh so handsome! It's like he's a brand new dog! Love supporting local businesses and this one should not be overlooked by any pet lovers in the davie area. Upon moving to the area my dad came upon this pet groomer and we've been with them ever since. The people here are friendly and personable. I love how they know my dog by name and my dog always seems to be eager to go in. They do a great job at cutting his hair short while keeping his ears fluffy and soft. He always smells amazing upon leaving here which is another plus. Compared to the previous grooming boutique we used to take our dog to by our old house the price here is very affordable. read more

I am a professional breeder and have a rescue so have many dogs. I needed a groomer closer to home, was driving to Cooper City and happened on Love on a Leash. I took 6 dogs at same time and Kathy and her crew were very good, professional, and, more importantly, I felt safe leaving my babies in their care. The establishment is open and clean and I recommend it as there are many groomers who tend to be brusque, or downright abusive. read more

Absolutely fantastic service! I could not have asked for more. I have never had my cat groomed before, but we were having problems with hairballs that could not be solved with special food or medicine. I called Love on a Leash and spoke with Kathy, who was very understanding and answered all of my questions. I brought my cat in in the morning, and Dee, Jessica, and Kathy were all incredibly helpful in taking care of a somewhat grumpy older cat. They were very friendly and very helpful and my cat looks awesome! I was terrified of what a cat that has had most of its fur cut off would look like, but she actually looks fantastic! Dee even helped me put the cat in my car since I needed a little help. Given this was my first cat grooming experience, I could not have asked for more. I started using love on a leash about six months ago. My dogs are always returned looking terrific but more importantly they are in good psychological condition. With all past groomers whether or not the grooming was good the dogs were always shaken up for the rest of the day. Everyone there is really a dog person. My generally grumpy fearful Maltese loves the owner Kathy. The place is clean and unpretentious and the prices are very reasonable. The grooming is done up in the front and not in some back room. All who come and go can see how gently the dogs are handled. I would highly recommend this shop to any dog owner but I especially recommend it to all anxious dogs and the owners who worry about leaving them! read more
