We took our little Fred to get his hair and nails done. A very sweet and nice young lady got us in at the last minute. I didn't catch her name, but she is very sweet. Short hair and nice. So she got us in, and of course we worried about our little puppy because he hates water and not a fan of getting his hair cut. We came back to see our little guy on the table getting his hair cut and very calm. We want to thank the young lady who take care of our little guy. I dropped off my dogs here a few days over Thanksgiving, at the pet hotel. They came back happy and healthy. Staff at the front desk were VERY helpful and kind, always a huge plus :) Get ready for the darkness.......... We dropped off a bag with their food for the time they stayed, and a bed. Not sure if there was a mix up or something, but the bag with the dog food was sent back untouched. I didnt realize it, until coming home and unpacking it. Im sure they ate and were fed. They didnt seem any lighter than when we dropped them off. But it does raise a few questions. Think I might try another place to board the wowwows next time read more

I spoke to Migran he checked on a royal canin product for me over the phone and quickly responded that it was in stock. Stopped by here this afternoon with my husband for their special Black Friday deals. Now until Saturday, jackets and sweaters are 50% off (which was the main reason we came in for today's visit) for both dogs and cats. There was plenty of cute sweaters and jackets to choose from for many different sizes (I am sure PetSmart and Petco isn't the first store that comes to mind for those who partake in Black Thursday/ Friday). Holiday toys are also 50% off as well, which I ended up picking up as well. In the end, I purchased a cute holiday dress for my girl dog and a large jacket for one of my male dogs (he was the only dog who did not have a jacket) and a few holiday toys for a friend's dog (as an X-mas gift). The cashier who took care of our transaction was nice and pretty funny. By the way, this store is located in the same plaza as BevMo, Bed Bath & Beyond, Barnes and Noble, etc (specifically located right next to Best Buy). Parking shouldn't be an issue. read more

My feedback/review is only on pick up experience as I can speak on how my pet was treated or cared for in my absence. Upon arrival I select the button to call for an attendant and I was approached by a woman, as she stood by the register I stated that I was here for my puppy, she then rang me up and provided the total. I asked how my pup was, if he behaved, and if she would bring him out she respond "I suppose." She didn't provide me a progress report or anything that gave me reassurance that the puppy was well taken care of or that he was ok, after 15 min she brought him out and I was already irate with the tone in which she was speaking to us, so my husband said "having a rough day? Don't worry I am sure it will get better and the representative respond with "yeah not sure about that." My husband later asked for our puppies personal items and she asked what it was, which made me question the organization of the facility. She later came out with the dogs bed, a bone and we noticed the food was not in there. She then asked if it was a small or large bag. Again really questioning if the dog even ate because she didn't even know what food he came with. In all her arrogance and demeaning tone left a bad taste in my husbands and I mouth. We will no longer be doing business with PetSmart. If you don't like the job and don't care for animals then change your career. We are paying customers that felt uncomfortable to ask questions when it shouldn't be like that. I felt bad for the dog play area they had 11 dogs in there and the man was just on his phone. He then swept and cleaned after a dog and while he was doing so he backed into a dog. Didn't even show empathy or check on the dog. Seeing that and with the way we were treated makes me understand that this is just a place for business and the sole priority is to incentivize and not provide care and love to our animals. Side note my husband and I added services like ice cream to make our puppies experience that much more enjoyable and when my husband asked what kind of ice cream he received she stated I don't know. This review is for the Pet Hotel -- I left my 10 month old puppy here to stay for two nights. Every time I called to check up on him, they told me that he was happy and eating all his food. When we came to pick him up, he wreaked of urine and his leg hairs were clumped together. There was an option for a bath during his stay and now I see why they offer one because your dog will come back smelling like SHIT. My pup was also noticeably more skinnier. I noticed that NONE of his food or treats were touched even though I specified different times of the day to feed him. He was extremely excited to see us when we picked him up but the second he got home, he was acting drowsy and sedated. Mind you, he's a puppy who loves to run around and play for hours on end. Oh yeah, and one more cool thing, he came back with kennel cough. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVING PET STAY HERE. read more

This review is only about the GROOMERS ----- Ok so I took my dog to the groomers at this PetSmart in Glendora. Seems ok from the outside but be warned. It was a 4 hour groom. I told the groomers to give him a short trim so he looks nice. I come back 4 hours later and his hair was so short that he looked like a CHIHUAHUA. (He is a yorkie btw) A couple months later his hair grew out again. I am never coming back again. Just don't come here. Your pets are treated like trash here. He literally got shaved his face definitely showed he was unhappy. read more

This review is for grooming: Previously I lived near Brea and always had good experiences so I figured I'd give the Glendora location a shot. I rarely take my dog in for grooming but he has long hair behind his ears that get matted because he hates when i brush it and sometimes I just throw my hands up in defeat and let the experts deal with it. I dropped him off in the morning, letting them know about the mats behind his ears and let them know they could cut them out if necessary, I didn't mind. An hour and a half later I was sent a text letting me know he was ready and I thought oh cool, that was really fast. I go pick him up and he was so ridiculously fluffy I couldn't help but laugh. As I'm walking to my car I pet him and realized his undercoat is still really damp. While I appreciate the speed of service I would appreciate a fully dry dog even more. He takes forever to airdry so now I'm left hoping he doesn't smell like wet dog by the end of the day. What really warrants the low rating though is they didn't get all the mats out from behind his ears. The large clumps were gone which I appreciate but there were still several small knots left which just kind of annoys me. I had to brush it out and cut them off which is what I was trying to avoid doing myself in the first place. I explicitly pointed them out and would have even paid extra if that was a concern. And while everyone was friendly it was also really awkward. No one told me how he did, no one seemed really attentive, the whole experience was really lackluster. The last thing that made me laugh: when I dropped him off they let me know they were doing small promotional pet photos during their stay that they would email for free so I said sure, why not. I went to check on it and it's just a blurry photo of him looking extra sad on the grooming table. Like....why? *** I've noticed "Groomer L" marking all negative reviews as Funny so they're also petty. Lulz. read more

What a horrible team of incompetent employees. They seem like they are helping you and being attentive on the floor, checking up on you and what not to help you find what you need,But when it comes to real customer help, it's as if they had forgotten their manners and training. I have my puppy enrolled in the banfield pet hospital program which is part of petsmart. The cashier was dismissive because i had lost my puppy's prescription presenting no help whatsoever in the matter. I asked for the manager and she explained that i could get the prescription at the banfield counter which is At the end of the store. There i have to make another line and wait to get the prescription i need and of course i cant do a purchase on that counter so i have yo go back to the front registers , when i get there the same cashier tells me that i have to make the line once again. I just wanted to go in and out with my puppys food. And i left without food because they didn't carry the food for my prescription which would have been nice to know from the beginning to avoid all this time wasted. Now i have to cook chicken because i have no kibble to give my puppy. The worst part is that this is the nearest petsmart to me. read more

Don't get your dog groomed here, we specifically told them to not shave our dog and we even offered to pay more since he's a big dog a Great Pyrenees, my wife explained to the groomer that it's bad for the dogs. When we picked him up she had shaved him down to the skin in some spots, we called to talk to the manager and she didn't even care. read more

Unfortunately we stopped bringing our pup here because he kept getting sick or injured. The last straw was a deep laceration he sustained on his paw. It was a long straight laceration that would not stop bleeding. The explanation was that he was rambunctious that day and he was nippy. So what happened? Staff was very nervous and kept trying to turn the attention to our pups behavior saying he was very active that day but said he maybe injured himself by another dogs teeth. This was a deep, straight laceration, not jagged or a puncture as you'd expect with the bite or scratch of another dog. We had to pay $500 in vet fees to get him stitched up, anti bacterial medication for the wound and pills for a possible infection. He had to wear a cone for 2 weeks and then went in for a follow up which of course we were charged for. I just don't feel comfortable knowing my happy, well trained pup got injured and no one could tell me how. We have not been back since that injury and that was in early July. Thank Goodness because we would take him regularly and would have probably been dealing with the upper respiratory infections everyone else was talking about. read more

We truly love the Pet hotel. Staff is amazing. My dogs Dodgers and Daisy always stay here and there never has been an issue. I can leave out of town knowing my dogs are in good hands. Pros: you can board two small dogs in the same kennel, you can bring your own food or use theirs. They now offer packages which can save you money. Not really sure what to say about PetSmart. It's, well, a PetSmart. It's convenient to have a huge pet superstore nearby. They carry Dr. Elsey's brand of kitty litter. Pricey, but of course the only cat litter my cat will use. And they pretty much have everything else under the sun you may need for your furball. The store is always neat and clean when I go in. Workers on the floor and at the register have always been very friendly and helpful. I like that they have adoption days and I always like to say hi to the kittys they have up for adoption. I like to say hi to the birds, rodents, and reptiles also. It's PetSmart. And its handy. read more

This review is with the Banfield Pet Hotel. I left my dogs there for 3 nights. Was very disappointed with the service. First of all they were suppose to be a the same room. When I picked them up the small dog was in a small cage, small cage and my other dog was in a bigger cage. My bigger dog smelled and I just couldn't figure why she smelled so bad. I found out why she did she had some feces stuck in her coat in the rear. They told me she didn't poop, while now I know why it was stuck in her coat. Now I know why they were spraying her before they gave her to me. Will be calling them back to talk to the manager. They were closed when I called after I picked her up. read more

I went into the Petsmart today all happy and in a friendly manner. I was excited to get a fish. I saw an employee headed to the fish and I smiled and asked are you working in the fish area? She said yes I said Great thank you I want to get a fish... then she just disappeared making me wait then when she returned, She just stood there all silent and not doing anything. I asked aren't you going to get my fish, I told her what fish that I wanted. She stated rudely " I was waiting for you to move! Hello! why didn't she just politely ask me to move a little bit.. and I wasn't even in her way I was along side of the tank. I don't know what her problem was. I don't read minds lady. I also asked about other fish I was planning to get for my Aquarium and asked if she had any of the type. She proceeded to say they are dead!..instead of answering my question. She was referring to some dead fish in another tank. Then she brought over the ladder and the table she needed to use and started climbing it to get to the fish totally blocking me from picking the fish I wanted. At this point it finally dawns on me she decided that for whatever reason she didn't want to help me. Whether my Race or age or what I don't know. I told her that's not what I asked...and asked her what is with her attitude? I said you copped an attitude towards me from the beginning...I'm also concerned about how they are caring for the fish with all the dead fish...This store needs to be reported for animal neglect and mis care..Oh and after I called her on her rude tude..she suddenly disappears not wanting to help me, just takes off & I see her and can hear her!! through the window of the employee door complaining about me "the customer! after that employee had walked up asking her about helping a customer get a fish...I walked out the store I was done with all the rediculous horrible service!!! read more

I have never seen so many scared animals and floating fish! I brought the numerous floating fish and random metal and rubber bands also in the tanks to the attention of an employee in the area and his response was, "well, idk what to tell ya but they only give us so many hours...". Wait... what? Oh! Okay, so in that case, who gives a shit, right? I mean, it's only a store for PETS and a place where families can come to purchase PETS. I come here rather a LOT. Probably about 5 or 6 times a week. I have a few things to say about the store: Store itself- The staff seems nice, and the isles are laid out pretty well. I never have a problem. The only problem I do have is with the dog food. If you go to www.Chewy.com, they sell dog food way cheaper than Petsmart. Banfield- We have a wellness plan for our Husky. Our primary doctor is Dr.Stewart and we swear by her. We will not let our dog be seen by anyone else because we trust her so much and she's been amazing. The only thing I hate about Banfield is the monthly premium does not cover the cost of tests to be done if there is an issue with your dog or cat. And they tend to be super expensive! Just to biopsy a lump on my dogs leg would be $175! Another thing I don't necessarily like is that every time we go there, we feel that we are only offered medicine. Legit the last 9 times we have been to Banfield, we were suggested that our dog be put on multiple medications. I feel this is a way for Banfield to gain more revenue, but it's quite annoying. Just as annoying as going to Target and being asked every time if you want to open a red card.. Dog Hotel: Nice staff, they treat our dog well, however our dog becomes super stressed and winds up getting a stomach ache. I am not sure if its because they excite him but yeah. Overall 4 stars. This review is for the Pet Hotel - Brought my 6 year old Yorkie to the Glendora location and had him stay for a couple of days. (We've frequented this hotel for couple of years) After bringing him home, we noticed he kept sneezing, coughing like he was trying to clear his throat and had a dripping nose. Brought him to vet and turns out he got kennel cough. He did join in on group play time with other dogs, so it's possible he caught it from an infected dog or this facility just doesn't sanitize well. Sad to say it, but I don't think I'll be coming back here and trusting them with my dog. There's been other times when my dog has stayed there and noticed they never gave him the treats I put in his bag and one time his blanket we brought from home was covered in white dog hair when we picked him up. My dog is black, so possibly they let another dog use it. read more

I don't know what's up with these Petsmart employees. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me and my friends. My two friends have a service dog and we went into this Petsmart store to buy some treats, and a dog toy. Our dog is a Service Dog that helps the owner because he is deaf. Our small dog was well behaved and even had vests on identifying it as a Service Dog! One old guy, probably a stocker, came over and complained that the Dog Trainer there named Gloria (I think) said we shouldn't be with those dogs in here practicing their training skills. I told the guy that we are customers and sorry if our dog is so well behave and follows are every and many commands that you think we are interrupting your business. This chubby blond haired chick trainer kept a stinky eye on us the whole time and made us feel uncomfortable. We quickly got our stuff, paid at the register and left. This seems to be an ongoing thing at Petsmart stores and their treatment of Service Dogs. There is a Federal law that is called the American's with Disabilities Act that allows service dogs in public places. There are harsh fines for breaking this law. We didn't want anymore stress than this dick and chonch already gave us. I am shocked that this store is not current on this law. We just brushed it off as ignorance. read more

I went to this Petsmart two nights ago with quite a few questions about my daughters bearded dragon, the newest member of our family. I spoke with a Petsmart employee by the name of Kathleen, she was so friendly and really knowledgable about bearded dragons, as she also has one. I was very impressed at how quickly she came over to see if I needed help, she didnt make me feel rushed and answered all my questions completely, she even gave me a few tips to help make my pet and her transition to our home a lil more smoother. I bought one of my pet guinea pigs here, back in March of this year (2014), and I must say that I really didn't like how the manager (or department manager [for small animals]) treated my guinea pig. I bought a brown and white adolescent guinea pig (his name is Spencer), and he was the only one in cage. He looked pretty hot that day, as he was resting on a cool stone. I told one of the sales associates that I wanted the brown and white pig, and a fellow was helping me get things together. When one of the managers finally had time to give me my guinea pig, she brought a box to put him in, and she just THREW/DUMPED him in the box. She was also acting really irritated. Either she doesn't like her job, she was having a bad day or she hates guinea pigs, I don't know, but I really disliked her actions and her attitude towards my pig. When I took my guinea pig home, he also wreaked of a smell similar to that of a rat. He has had a few baths, of course, since then, but still, why did he smell that way? Either they didn't change the cage often, or his cage was right next to the fancy rats on sale. Recently, I bought another guinea pig at another Petsmart, and she does not smell like a rat at all. She was very clean when I bought her, and still is. Another thing to note is that since Spencer was handled in an improper fashion, he is now (as an adult) scared of many things; he acts very paranoid. I'm thinking it was his upbringing, since I feel like this Petsmart doesn't care for their guinea pigs very much, nor handles them well. I guess I saved Spencer from animal cruelty. Shame on them, because animals should be treated with kindness and gentleness. Sometimes I feel like reporting Petsmart to a pet/animal organization of some sort, to expose their animal cruelty. Of course, Petsmart will win, because they're a big corporation, and not many people care for guinea pigs, but I surely do. Okay, that's all I have to say for now. Petsmart Glendora, I hope you do a better job in taking care of your guinea pigs and other small animals, because there's another Petsmart that I've been going to right now, and their customer service is better and they treat their guinea pigs with better care, I believe. read more

Never rely on the their Veterinarian services. For the first time we ordered a product that was very important to maintain our beloved pets health. We where told it was to come in on a Wednesday yet it didn't. Promised it would be there the next day. Well you can guess the shipment came in but they just couldn't be certain our product would be in the shipment. I sat and waited, and waited, and waited for them to look for it just to be told that they don't normally order such things and to find the box is a challenge because they don't know what to look for . I was floored. I left. Canceled our order. Ordered our product on Amazon Prime. Receiving it next day. A bit cheaper. The stress, lack of concern of this staff will stay with our family and we hope to alert others. read more

I use this PETSMART because it's the closest one from my house. If I have a time, I actually go to PETSMART in Upland as their customer service is WAAAAAAYYYY better than this place. Here is the reasons why I only give them 2 stars. 1. I went to get info about Pet Hotel. I had to wait for about 30 minutes or so to just get me a brochure. A girl who was there was on the phone talking, talking, and talking. She even did not acknowledge us standing and waiting around. 2. When we were watching through the "playground" area, one dog was going "at" it with other dogs. A guy and girl who supposed to be watching the dogs were just yapping and laughing. Needless to say, they weren't paying attention to the dogs. So I tapped the window and pointed at the dog which was humping another dog. The girl attendee ran over to the dog and hit the dog. Ok... Yeah, I surely not want to take my dog there as you never know if my dog misbehave, they may hit my dog. 3. The workers there (not all of them, some of them are very nice) seem enjoy chitchatting amongst themselves while customers are waiting to get assisted. 4. Dead fish floating... Yeah... They don't really care... 5. I asked a specific question about Science Diet cat food. The worker could not tell me anything about it nor could not direct me to the right section to look for it. I've never been happy with the way my dog used to get his hair cut until Carlos cut his hair! He looks so handsome. You can tell that he takes his time in making sure that the pups look really handsome. I'm definitely going to come back and ask for Carlos when I do! The prices aren't terrible either it cost $49 for full grooming. If you go to this petsmart for grooming make sure you ask for Carlos you won't be disappointed!
