We took our 13 year old German Shepard here today to get a bath, brush and nails done and I have to say THE PEOPLE IN THE GROOMING CENTER ARE THE BEST!!!! The girl that took care of Sasha was so caring and gentle with her and did such a great job on her I cannot say enough!!! I felt so bad all I had was $10 for a tip because she deserved $50! I have been taking my pitbull Maverick here quite regularly over the past couple of years. He never seems to have the same Groomer for very long because they come and go quickly but their service is good and everybody is kind and helpful. They are not getting five stars because all of them refuse to trim my dogs nails. He becomes frightened and anxious and all he needs is two people to hug and comfort him while they are being clipped. I am still paying them to bathe and brush him at the same price because they do not give a discount even though they're not clipping his nails. I have to arrange for a mobile nail groomer to come to my house and pay the extra money to them as well. Not an ideal situation But I find that the Petsmart groomers are very new to their trade and by the time they are well trained in bathing the dogs they move up to clipping and cutting dogs so it's very rare for you to maintain a relationship with the same team member for long. For now we will keep returning but I wish they would be more personable with him and show him the consideration he deserves. He's a lover but does get a little nervous. read more

This Fullerton location is located off the 91 freeway and Harbor Blvd, just a few doors down from Sprouts market. I don't like to roam up and down aisles, so I use the online purchasing/ in store pick up to get my pet supplies. I placed my order at 2:00 and by 3:30 I received notification to get my items within 5 days. When I went to pick up my items, there was 1 cashier and a line, so I had to wait for someone to help me. They don't seem to get a lot of in-store pick up, as the other girl didn't know what to do.. like do I get a receipt? Do I sign for stuff? Do I get my stuff bagged? Even with the confusion, I was in/ out within 15 minutes. ts a very large PetSmart, offering services from grooming, pet hospital and pet training. They have an aquatic section (primarily fish), a section for reptiles care, furry creature care, and food, treats, clothing, and accessories for your dogs and cats. Plenty of parking, and easy access to Orangethorpe, Harbor Blvd and the 91 freeway. read more

Nothing but love for Fullerton Petsmart! Been taking my puppy Phoenix here for the last couple months and it is always a great experience. From the second we walk in the door to our way out we feel so welcomed and loved! The attendants always welcome us, give my puppy treats and answer allll of my puppy questions. The first time I had to wait outside the grooming salon because there was another family inside and I was next in line. as soon as the family inside dropped off their dog and left the groomer came outside and took a person that was not in line inside completely ignoring me. I waited patiently until that person was done and told the groomer that I was next in line and she responded that the other dog was just getting dropped off for grooming, well I was here to do the same thing so I don't understand her logic. The second time, my appointment was automatically changed to a different time without my approval. The third time, my dog was in grooming for over 6 hours. I am appalled by what I saw today at Petsmart. I went to buy a female Betta fish to add to my aquarium. The photos posted are what I saw. You are a PET STORE, these animals cannot care for themselves. All of these fish pictured are going to die. No doubt in my mind. Sadly I didn't get a photo of the already dead beta fish I also found. Spoke to the manger right away (brown hair, brown eyes. short, and had an accent) she basically put the blame on everyone but herself. "Shipment" ect. Said we do water changes every Tuesday and Thursday. I went on a Tuesday??? That's how your water looks after you change it? I told her I own fish and I know FOR A FACT the water wouldn't look like that if that's how frequently it's being changed. Lied to my face. Went to a different store immediately after and purchased nothing. If you don't care about animals, maybe don't work at a pet store?? Just a thought. The managers lack of concern tells me everything I need to know about this store. This is really sad because live animals are being put in the middle of these poor workers. I would give no stars if I could. I called over the phone last Monday or Tuesday for an salon appointment for my fur-baby. I asked for a CUT AND WASH. Instead he received a TRIM AND WASH. I understand they are very busy but come on that is a big difference on what I was asking and now I need to bring him back for a full cut. And pay more of my money for their mistake of not listening when I first scheduled. When I went in I was asked for proof of Rabies Vaccination before leaving him. Umm I wish I would have been told so I can get proof that he was vaccinated AHEAD OF TIME. Instead I had to wait 30 minutes to try and get it emailed because I couldn't leave him even if I left to go get proof. One girl behind the counter was actually helpful 10/10 for customer service for her. She called the vets office to help. Had they told me over the phone when I scheduled I would have been better prepared. So I was already stressed about that and then when we were talking about the actual CUT they said I was scheduled for "trim" so they asked the groomer Dayana if she has time for a cut and she looked absolutely bothered so she said she DIDN'T have time for CUT only a trim so I felt I needed to stick with a TRIM. I saw no trim. Idk how the F it's even possible but he looked like his hair was even longer Really?! . . I called over the phone just now to try and resolve this situation and nothing is resolved instead I get a "I was there I heard the situation," from the Salon Lead. If you paid attention better than you would know the actual situation "Salon Lead". So just Overall unhappy. Don't have Dayana groom your pets because she forgot that I was waiting right there and was even starting to talk to a wonderful tan fluff ball male dog (Labradoodle or Golden Doodle or Poodle) poorly. Once she remembered I was there she changed her tone. So if your shy tan male Teddy Bear of a dog was at this location at around 9 am on June 11th please know to not have Dayana groom him again. That groomer Dayana was a total WITCH and the salon lead was no help with customer service. I wasn't expecting a "Free" service. I would have purchased a cut but from just an overall poor experience from this Fullerton location I just cancelled my appointment. I'm going elsewhere. I'll go to a groomer that actually LOVES their Job and has great customer service and is loving and kind to my fur-baby. . . . Awful interaction with employees at this store trying to order prescription food. Our vet does not give prescription numbers for our cats diabetic food but advised that we could order the food for pick it and the store would reach out to them and they would authorize the purchase. It's been over a week at this point, so I called to ask the store since we are running low and the employee who answered claimed she couldn't find our order, asked for the order number and acted like she saw it then let me know it wasn't in the system and there was nothing they could do because the vet doesn't have prescription numbers. She then said that we can bring them a handwritten note from the vet simply stating that we need the food for our cat. Went to the store with the note and the employee said that they needed a prescription number. I asked them to cancel my order at this point and I was told that there's nothing in their system. I am furious. I spent many years in high-school bathing dogs while my best friend groomed them at a small mom/pip grooming place so u am familiar with the difference between people who loves animals and their jobs and people who don't. Well these people clearly don't. Specifically Dayana did my golden mix puppies bath/brush package. I usually do my dogs baths but wanted someone to do the ears, the puppy pad hair, teeth and w.e else is on the list. 3 hours later (which the time didn't matter to me, but when I got to my car and realized that they did absolutely nothing but shampoo condition my dog I couldn't believe it. Shewasnt very kind warm and I was regretting it almost immediately but was already there and stressed eith having a 3 year old running around with me. They said to bring her in and honestly I'm not gonna bother. It's more trouble than it's worth they just won't have my service Nd hopefully no one goes there. Terrible place. Negative interaction checking out with a cashier today (older white woman, nice gray hair). We waiting in line while she assisted other customers, cheerful and smiling. When it was our turn I heard her asking my young daughter for our phone number/ email. Sounded like she was a bit frustrated so I began answering for her. Her interaction continued with negativity and aggressive energy. No smiles... just impatience as I quickly answered her questions. She was so off-putting, once we got outside, my daughter's mentioned how rude she was and that's not typical of them to say. One even ventured to say she was racists and made mention of how she noticed that she was nice to the previous customers that were older and white like her. Perhaps Petsmart can train employees about micro-agressions and how they can interact with the public in an equal way as they do ALL their customers. had an appointment this morning for 2 of my dogs a 5 month old and 12 year old mini schnauzers. They would take my 5 month old because she didn't have her rabies shot. My vet said 1 year and they are saying 4 months so they wouldn't do her this morning. My 12 year old has hair like cotton and no matter how many times we brush her she will get some clumps of hair that needs to be brushed out.They didn't want to waste their precious time in doing her so they want to shave her down. I tried to explain that she is use to her hair needing to be brushed more than most but again they wouldn't budge unless they could shave her. So i had to leave and I won't be back I left them the first time on account of my 12 year old but said they have new help let's give it a try well they are the not any different. If my 12 year old wasn't needing a special diet that they only carry I would not shop their. I know like it's going to hurt them. Just really un happy for the service again. read more

There were two sections, one with male and one with female, and they were almost all lifeless or dead. Some were discolored and pale so they have been dead for a while. I thought I would try the grooming department, made my appointment online for an evening time slot and waited for my pups day to come. Well that never happened because they called and left a message changing my appt to the middle of the day....I work 7-4 so that was impossible!! When I called back there was now nothing available for another 2 weeks. So as a temporary fix I asked about walk in nail trims, I was told to come in anytime as long as it was before 4:30. I did and they rudely told me they couldn't trim her nails because they had already cleaned up for the day....it was a horrible failure, the groomers need to stand by the appointments made by the customer!!! read more

The gentlemen (who seemed less than happy to be working) confirmed our appointment for Monday. I was told to bring a copy of our dogs rabies shot. I took my dog here about a week ago for a grooming. After she came back she wasnt the same. She would just stare at us for long periods of time without moving. She would lay down and throw up everywhere. She wouldn't eat her food or drink any water. I legit thought she was gonna die. One day she just laid in her bed without moving for a couple hours. I thought she was getting comfortable cause she knew she was gonna die. This broke my heart. I ended up grabbing her and forcing her to eat food and drink water. Shes finally doing better now. I will never take my dog back here again. I'm writing this review because I just read an article that said that DOGS ARE DYING!!!! After being GROOMED at PETSMART for no reason. When I asked her about it she just brushed me off without any care about the bad experience she provided. BEWARE of terrible customer service!! We got some hermit crabs as gifts from a family friend. They weren't terribly healthy to begin with and one died. They were purchased at the Brea store. They were within the guarantee period. My poor wife took them to this location and was insulted and told to go to the store they were purchased at. Another hour and more exposure to covid. My wife and I like to go here just because we enjoy looking at the cats that are for adoption. We are never interested in adopting because we already have too many. The pricing is more expensive than a store like Walmart, but I would would much rather shop here because of the selection. We have recently had to start buying a specialty dry cat food that other stores do not stock. PetSmart always has it in stock. I usually go to this petsmart when I need supplies quick because of its convenient location and the convenience of getting all my supplies from one place. But as with the majority of chain pet supply places the quality of service and pet care suffers. I have a parrot, guinea pigs, dog, and multiple fish. FOR BIRDS: I highly suggest you drive out to Brea and go to Omars Exotic Birds. I bought my parrot and parrot supplies at this petsmart only to realize I was ripped off with pet supplies that I didn't even need for him. The food at Petsmart is really overpriced and the staff's knowledge and care for birds does not even compare. There are some workers at petsmart that seem to know their stuff, but others I'm astounded with the lack of knowledge and unprofessionalism of some of their employees. FOR FISH: I have bought several fish here and four of them died within the first day or two (and I follow proper care instructions). One of my clown loaches I bought here showed signs of ich just a few days after adding him to my aquarium and died shortly; luckily my other fish did not get infected. Recently at this location I saw a tank filled with some sort of spongy fungi, and several dead Plecos were wrapped in the fungus and other live fish were still swimming in the tank! The most astounding part of this was that there was about seven inches wide of fungus in the tank and the issue had not been taken care of by the time that amount of fungus spread. This took me several minutes from entering the store to notice but no employee had noticed it or done anything about it?! Petsmart is good for getting dog and cat supplies but for other pets such as parrots, guinea pigs, and especially fish you should probably go somewhere that is more knowledgeable about the specific pet. I really do not trust getting animals here anymore after the fish incidents where the fish they gave me were already sick/infectious. There are some amazing guinea pig and rabbit rescue shelters (and of course shelters for all animals) that you can go to that will have experts that focus a lot more on the animal going to a loving home, and will help you become an owner that knows how to take care of them instead of just trying to capitalize on them. Show up and was told I wasn't on the schedule after asking for proof of rabies (which was requested when I set up the appointment via phone despite the rabies shot was administered by THE SAME Petsmart yet' not showing up in their system'...). This is not the first disappointment I've had with them but it is definitely the last. They are notorious for trying to add all types of additional charges for extra services I've declined in the past. I'm done with these losers.
