Rude, mean, woman "greeted" us and our Dog! Should have left right then! In for a nail trim only! She fussed at me for trying to calm my dog, she the took him back behind a door and we heard squealing and yips and growl bursts. She drug him out to us on a rubber choke collar and said we had to put a muzzle on him, apparently unable to do so herself despite "49 years of experience." She drug him back, I am so ashamed I that I didn't take him and leave! After 10-15 minutes of nothing, I called out for her to STOP at whatever point she was. I called out numerous times to STOP and bring me our dog! She ignored my plea's! All of a sudden we heard her speaking sweetly to him, good boy, good dog.... She brought him back and started explaining his bleeding paws! I told her she was the worst pet care person I had know in my life! What contempt! I have been to countless pet spas since I moved from Fullerton and I cannot find a place as good as celebrity paw spa. The owner is so amazing with my dogs and they always smell so great and don't have that dirty smell days later. I can get a solid clean dog for at least a month before I have to go back. Awesome place and Awesome groomers! I highly recommend Jennette. She has been grooming my chow-chow since he was a puppy. She has always treated him with kindness and he goes nuts with happiness wherever he sees her. How many dogs actually love being groomed?? I doubt many people can say that! Some groomers are leery of grooming chows, but because he has always been treated gently there, he is very well behaved during his grooming. I show my chow and always take him there before his shows and he always looks great. The pricing is very reasonable and in line with other groomers I have used in the past. I have no complaints, and am extremely happy with the service they provide. I am very picky about who I entrust my dog to, and they do not disappoint. I've been bringing my Yorkie, Elphaba here for a year. I got lucky for a while at Pet Smart. One groomer actually knew how to cut a Yorkie. Needless to say, she left and I was stuck. Visited other places to find the right one to fit Me, the GF and of course, Elphie. I did feel bad for the dog during the search, but how else are you going to know they cut good? Some cuts were decent, some cuts were just plain bad. What sold me here was their Yorkie experience. They are really on top of the styles of Yorkie cuts and know how to pull them off. I do see other dog breeds that come here and if they only cut for Yorkies, I think that would be a bad business decision. But as far as cutting for my dog, and any Yorkie for that matter, this is the place. It's not just the cuts, they really go into detail on how you want your cut. With Elphie, I like to mix it up. The GF is not a big fan of experimenting, but she deals with it. We always get compliments on how she looks and well groomed. One time someone asked if I did it myself. I could have taken all the credit, even glory, but no. I put the all the credit where it is deserved. At the end of every month, they have a doctor come in and do teeth cleaning too. If your a Yorkie owner, and looking for a great place to take you little one, look no more. I really don't see me going to any other groomers. read more

Wish I had written this review sooner. But better late than never I suppose. Make sure you are keeping in touch with them regarding the status of your pet. And have them check! After four hours of waiting for my baby and them telling me he's almost done I come to find that they were not able to cut nor wash my kitty because he seemed 'upset' in his cage and they didn't want to pull him out. I understand fearing for your safety or what have you, but can you at least call me after 30 minutes, an hour, two hours, and let me know?? When I called them out on it they denied having told me that even though I had just called. Took my cat elsewhere and had no problem. Had to apologize to my poor fur baby as he was traumatized there almost all day. read more

Very unprofessional and disorganized. No one helped us for about 10 minutes, they completely ignored us, even though we called ahead and made an appointment. We came in for our 9 month old puppies first nail trimming, so of course she was nervous and they treated her horribly. She yelled at her the entire time saying "it's fine!" "Hold still!" Meanwhile there's a baby crying in the back room where they're grooming the dogs and she's also yelling at the baby.. it was a disaster. They muzzled our puppy (which is unnecessary in my opinion as she showed no signs of aggression) and then yelled at her when she tried to paw it off... and it costed $20!! I came here to give my dog his first grooming experience, the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful, showed me different styles to choose from which made things easier since I hadn't ever chosen a hairstyle for my dog. She spent no more than 2 1/2 hours to cut my dogs hair which I was happy about, I was worried I would be waiting much longer but they are great at what they do. Most importantly I could tell she has a love for dogs and what she does and has patience, so I will DEFINITELY be bringing back my dog. I took a risk on Celebrity Paw Spa...I have never taken my dog, Cash, to a groomer before but, his nails and hair had reached a point that I could no longer stand so, after a quick Google search, I opted for this place mostly due to the location but, also because the name was so cute! I was immediately impressed after I booked my appointment on the phone. It almost seemed that the owner knew that I had zero experience with this as she talked me through the many options that are available. The next morning, I brought Cash in and the gal at the counter was sweet and seemed to know that I was about to trust her with my furry baby and was a bit apprehensive about it. She answered all my questions (before I could even ask!) and helped me feel secure. Picking Cash up was a joy, since he not only looked great but i could tell he was happy. I brought my dog here after a very bad experience at another grooming salon. Not only did the groomers seem happy to be there but they were very sympathetic to my situation and really seemed to care about my pet. After dropping my dog off, I realized this was the first place that didn't make me nervous about the care he would receive - and I was also really happy to see that they had a fenced in area where they can take your dog out to go to the bathroom so they aren't locked in a kennel the whole time. My dog looked happy, healthy and clean when I came to pick him up. Celebrity Paw Spa is just a little more expensive than some other dog groomers in the area but the care and attention they pay to your pet makes it worth every penny! read more

This is an excellent place to take your pet to get groomed. Very nice and helpful staff. Everytime I have taken my dog Bode I have loved the results after his grooming session. In addition I love the fact that they are very knowledgeable in many areas. I was having a terrible time with my dog having ticks. After numerous treatments and many expensive vet visits the owner at CPS recommended a collar that she guaranteed would work. At a price of $70 I was a bit skeptical but I trusted her professional advice. I'm glad I did because finally they are long gone and problem has been resolved. When it comes to the dogs I always see them treating them like they are their own. They always make sure the dogs feel comfortable and at home. While working as a vetnurse and seeing how much healthier and happier the patients were after a fresh groom/style, I decided I wanted be a part of this process and expand my knowledge in animal care. I looked into pet styling schools and came across Celebrity Paw Spa/ OC Academy of Pet Styling. I came in for a school tour...the facility seemed a little messy and Lindell (owner/school director), was loud and pushy but I figured she was just old and hard of hearing. ANYWAY, The Student Catalog was very thorough and convincing and she is experienced SO I signed up and started two weeks later when my tool kit would be ready. After registering and giving her no hassle, no problem paying $6,500 up front and begin my training immediately as it is a "short and advanced program" Lindell took advantage of my kindness, time, and money.... On my 1st day she had me watch videos while she gossiped and chatted on the phone and bossed her employees around in the back The 2nd day was the same. On my 3rd day I watched more videos until she finally made time from her busy schedule to do one exercise from the books I purchased. She had me read the chapter and tested me an hour later...It was easy, but the entire time she was asking me questions, she was also on the phone arguing with her lawyer talking about personal situations that should be kept out of one's work and teaching place. I never said anything because I thought she was only taking advantage of the first part of my training and would actually get things started once I got my tool kit and was able to begin my styling practice. On my 4th day she finally gave me my kit (with items missing) and told me I'd be starting in the back, so I did. My 4th day in the back, was filled with multiple complaints. Complaints from her family-via phone, text, her lawyers-via phone, text, and her clients/employees-in person. We didn't go by student catalog, she had me do her sloppy work instead. (Keep in mind, I am a vetnurse I am experienced in proper bathing/grooming pets, I needed styling training) Lindell gave me all the appts she didn't have time to finish. She had her employees help me, I learned more from her fellow groomers than I did from her. I bathed when she wanted I styled when it was convenient to her. I am a fast learner so by the next two days she was able to leave me on my own and help her get her own work done. Class hours were from 9:30-4:30 and if she wasn't late she had to leave during class to go to her grandkids school performances or pick them up or go meet up her lawyers. I stayed about 2 hours after everyday with her demanding me to get her work done before her clients had to pick their fur babies up. I never realized the time because she never gave all the breaks like we reviewed during the tour. I was warned by an employee who left while I was there for all the same reasons, that she wouldn't help anymore than she already had and she was right. She treated me as if I were her employee and was obligated to pick up her slack when I PAID HER to teach me ?? I figured I'd stay long enough to get experience and I did. Now that I've asked for my refund for the hours that I did not continue to pay her to teach me for, she is trying to short me on my own money, doesn't respond to emails, phone calls, anything! You know someone is avoiding you when they are ALWAYS on their phone, just like her. She got upset at the fact that I corrected her on my refund amount So now I have to wait the full 45 days for my money when it was just given to her less than 2 weeks ago. I was also the only student at the time so all the focus should have been on me since I was paying her $18 an hour for this academy plus doing her work for free. & if her excuse is that is also a grooming facility then she shouldn't teach since she clearly can't do a good job at it. you are better off purchasing an online pet styling program and learning on your own like I did! It takes a passionate animal lover to learn how to groom and style pets and my current employer knows it! Lindell is very rough with her clients pets and yells at them making them afraid and uncomfortable. Definitely wouldn't recommend her to teach you or care for your pets in any way. This program couldn't be any more unprofessional if she tried! The only reason you should bring your pets here is if they are being handled by one of her other employees as they are knowledgeable and helpful. Take it from someone who fortunately enough was able to style your baby with a loving gentle hand while I was there! Although I'm doing well with a fun job and doing what I love, I'm still upset that Lindell has been so shady with me...I should've payed more attention to her odd facility that she also rents out to a group of random young men and her fishy phone calls from the start It takes a lot for me to complain.
