So to be honest I always walk in here and think F*#k man why is the line so long! So prepared with that I walked in to pick up an order I forgot I had. Well to my surprise there was no line and the female manager on duty was very quick to assist me. She explained to me their return policy on items bought but not picked up, the price match policy and although it was my mistake she still honored the sales price I had originally when making my purchase. Apart from the long ass line, every time I've come in each and every employee has been great and very helpful. The blonde lady that always assist me with my geckos crickets, is so sweet and knowledge, the other male manager that's there durning the day has also been very helpful. My review is for AUTUMN! She is a groomer in the salon and she is so amazing. I have been taking my dogs to her for about a year now and she has never disappointed! She works with my hard to work with dog and always gets him exactly how I want. I know he can be sassy but she still gets it done and for that she deserves all the praise!! I appreciate that she remembers him and is super sweet and helpful. Next time I take my dogs in to see her I will make sure to not forget my wallet (lol) so she can get the be extra tip she truly deserves! One day when she wasn't available- even though I had specifically booked with her like I always do- they told me once I was already there and checking my dogs in that she wasn't going to be able to groom my dogs. Supposedly it was my fault, that's what the lady at the computer told me, but as I was waiting to be checked in, she was calling other pet parents asking them if they would like to reschedule since she wouldn't be available. Hmm. Anyways, someone else groomed him that day (Morgan K). Needless to say I walked away that day sooo upset. They insisted I add the top paw package that day because she somehow convinced me that my dog was in such bad condition that he needed it (even though I know my dog hates the nail grinder). However, when I picked him up, he had been nicked on his leg, his hair was longer on one side than the other, and his teeth hadn't been brushed and his nails hadn't been grinded or even cut. She explained that he was difficult and that she couldn't get his nails cut and that I should take him to a vet instead. I understand that my 10 pound maltipoo can be difficult, I'm not expecting the groomers to risk their safety or my dog's safety ever. However, when I asked for a refund on the top paw package she declined. I was more bothered that I paid for services that weren't even used. That day sucked and if it wasn't for Autumn I honestly wouldn't even go back, the drive to this location is out of my way but as long as Autumn is there, I'll be there too! read more

I bought a fish tank here and started my gold fish collection. The fish department staff isn't helpful in giving you information on how to care for your goldfish when they are sick. Two of my goldfish died, and I asked one of the staff why it died. After testing my water, she said the water is fine, and she said she didn't know the goldfish died. What the heck? Whenever I come back, I always buy stuff that they recommend. They always want you to buy this and that for your tank and goldfish. However, they don't help afterwards. My shitzu was groomed yesterday by autumn. I was on my lunch & in a rush when I picked her up & didn't really look at her grooming too much until I got in the car. She looked nice until I really looked at her. I paid for the bear face hair cut. Just remember that(pic to follow) she didn't smell fresh.. her ears still look greasy like she hadn't been washed and her haircut was a hot mess.. I'm just a good Tipper anyway I should never even tipped her but I did.. I wish I didn't after seeing what my poor puppy looked like! Now that I have a new pup, I needed to pick a store I can spend all my money at. Well PerSmart is the winner and they are kindly taking a bunch of it. Who knew having a dog would be this expensive. And I just can t help buying him treats and toys constantly! Anyhow, I've been to this PerSmart a few times now and I've always had a good experience. They always have what I need from food, treats, shampoos and more. Last time I was in, I found the create I've been looking for at a great prices too. The team is always nice when we get to the register and the store is always clean. The two things I would say is that the lighting is kinda dim and there have been no associates on the floor to help with questions. Other than that, I am fully satisfied. I will also be trying the grooming which is $30!! More money for my puppy! read more

Horrible service the lady at the front was rude not only that. They charged me 17 dollars to get his nails trimmed and I don't even think they tried to cut them he scratched me this morning and he's nails look exactly the same . The lady said it depends on he's nails but I've been to another store and they leave them nice and trimmed way lower than that! Ridiculous don't waste your time I wish I would've gone somewhere else. We took our terrier in to get a haircut bath and asked if possible to trim her nails. Our dog has been there before, giving them a little hard time, but they did the job. This time they only gave her a haircut and bath. The lady that helped us was the one that tried to give our dog the service we needed but seemed highly frustrated. She gave up on our dog after like 30 minutes. We were fine and said our dog gets annoyed sometimes, but then the groomer got upset and said she's not annoying, just scared all loud and breathing so hard. We paid 91 dollars for this service and believed we should get a refund. We would not come back here. We love our dog and expect good service, not this type of service. read more

waste of time! been in the store for 30 mins trying to use the gift card that they issued me and it's not working. The 2 stupid managers don't know what to do so they just told me to call the customer service and your customer service sucks! no one is answering tried to call 5 times after waiting to be connected to an agent it will just be blank.... silence and nothing! Please don't waste your time here, I brought my dog in today for a hair appointment with MORGAN and got a call not even 5 mins in telling me that the service could not be completed due to my dog "not having it today" ... I go back and I see her forcefully giving my dog the haircut for me to have no option but to pay for an ugly UNFINISHED haircut .. then she goes off telling me that I HAD to stay in my car because my dog could of bitten her! I was employed here for a while a long time ago and wanted to see how the store was doing and to get some medicine for my Terrier. I was having trouble finding what I needed and wanted to ask a crew member, but the only member I found was the Cashier who was busy. I was able to catch the General Manager, Steve, talking with a Supervisor. I asked if he could point me in the right direction since the store layout was different than I remembered. I was told that their Cashier could help me, but their Cashier was busy with a line of people. Really strange and inconsiderate behavior coming from a Store Manager of all people. It could have taken him two seconds to tell me where to go, maybe he doesn't even know himself, who knows. Looked up the average wage of employees here and no surprise.. it's still minimum wage. Extremely disappointing considering every other company has seemingly adapted their wages to combat inflation. You can make more money working at a McDonald's or 7-Eleven. Not here though, I hope their employees know they don't have to stay there forever. I ended up just walking out of the store with nothing. The groomers and bathers here are all fantastic, but the store itself needs work. I'll just keep going to the Eastvale store. Side Note: I already know corporate will look at this as a disgruntled past employee's review. I worked for the company 7 years ago and loved it. I was a customer before I was employed and will continue to be a customer as long as I can. I just won't frequent th location again after this. read more

We recently purchased basic dog training for our English bulldog puppy, Jessy. Our trainer Nancy at Petsmart has been excellent. Our first appointment we showed up early (she was already there) and was very knowledgeable in her training. She thoroughly explained her training method. -- No shock collars, no hitting your animal, no choke collars with spikes on it, etc. The method primarily involves acting similar to how dogs react in the wilderness, i.e. pack mentality, dominance behavior etc. But with love and care. she even gave us homework to take home, Nancy is kind and professional and we are looking forward to her training classes. I love my pup, but he is impossible to groom on our own. We try our best, but he's very fidget-y and nervous, and not the easiest to handle. We used to bring him to Petco when his hair got too unruly but they muzzle him at their groomers and I noticed they were a little rough with their handling of them. After many months of trying to groom him ourselves, and having him look a little awkward, we decided we needed to take him to a professional. He was taken by a lovely woman named Veronica, who was so sweet and so gentle with our baby. He was still nervous and fidgety, but she was patient and calm and took breaks when he needed them, and did not muzzle! We also had his ears cleaned, nails clipped, and had an extra oatmeal skin soothing wash. My boy left feeling pampered and happy! read more

I always shop at this store when my kitty gets dropped off at Banfield. The pet hospital opens at 730am and petsmart opens at 9am but a very nice man who's name is Shawn I believe, told me that i can still shop and when I am done he will check me out and open the doors for me. That was very nice of him since I was on a tight schedule and couldn't come back at 9am when it opened. There was also a very nice lady working at the fish department and she helped me a lot with some cat questions a week ago when my cat was loosing a lot of teeth. Honestly Ive never had a problem with this location I prefer to come here. :) Def will be coming back to this location the costumer service is awesome! So I was feeling a little overwhelmed when I started looking for a groomer. Some of the groomers through other companies want like a schedule set up in advance and they want to see your dog before they take them on as a client and it seemed kinda like a lot of hype for something that should be simple... but I also was nervous about a big chain store grooming my dog, and him being one of a million, with no connection to the person or place. But the sign up for PetSmart was really easy and right out of the gate I liked that, so I ended up just booking through them. But I set my appointment, and the day before they call to confirm, I'm like "yes of course I'll be there." Do I show up for my appointment? No. They call me and I'm like "oh my god I totally forgot. I can come back another day, I dont want to throw off the whole day." Feeling like a total idiot, because really, I was. And they were so sweet and insisted it was no big deal and told me to bring my pup in anyways and they would take him as soon as I got there. Im thinking it must be slow today? No. It was not slow. I get there and see at least 5-6 other dogs and it was clear they went out of their way to accommodate my dog. Then, I meet my groomer (Tara I believe was her name)... she was so sweet (maybe Australian? Swear she had a hint of an accent, not sure though) she did a lil pup inspection, gave my dog some love, asked me all kinds of questions that honestly I wouldn't have thought to tell her, but I was grateful she had enough brains for the two of us, because there were things she needed to know. Anyways, she takes my pug Brody, who is normally extremely attached to me, I'm expecting he will have to be forced away from me howling, crying, expecting a production....but no. He goes happily away after Tara like she is his new favorite person in the world. Which to me is like the best sign of a quality human being. Anyways when they call me to pick up Brody, she is talking to everyone about what a good boy he is, and had this like ownership of him, that's the only way I could explain it. Like she talked about him like he was important to her. And that was something really really special. The way she handled my dog and the way she treated him, and talked to him was really important, she paid attention to the small details and went the extra steps to accommodate him in ways I honestly didn't think of myself. Then we went and got in line to pay (inside the PetSmart store) and I believe she went to take a lunch break or something of the sorts, and we see her walk inside the store and as she goes past Brody, he practically tackles her down (as much as a pug can) with love and kisses. Immediate new BFF? Maybe. Idk. All I can say it that I was so so pleased and really felt like she treated my dog like he was special. And that will keep me going back. This is not what I expected, when I hear "PetSmart", I expect to be running through like the corporate machine. But instead I really loved my experience and can't wait to bring my pup back for more lovin! read more

1/11/2020 Update** for the grooming. My pup is very clear whether he likes to be somewhere or doesn't. He walks in so calmly wagging his tail (he rarely wags his tail when he's out FYI only at home with his family). Usually in new places he's a little anxious. Clearly he loves it here! Our groomer Cathy does amazing(recommended to me by my best friend), he was still smelling good from his previous grooming to now after so many hikes, being slobbered on at the dog park and rolling around in wet dirt. With me he did not like the bathtub so I was worried he would give the groomers a hard time but he has so much fun here and loves all the staff. I so highly recommended! Especially take your puppies in so they have a good first experience. read more

So she took a long time, talking to the lady, chopping it up with the lady, while my wife was holding it because she wants to take forever, I go to another employee I seen and he says it's out of order . . This is probably the worst grooming service I've ever received. The office staff and groomer were friendly and professional, so nothing to say about that. Their abilities as groomer however is a completely different story. My puppy grooming was all kinds of lengths and his face hair looked even worse. They said it was because he was aggressive and was trying to bite. They said I needed to take him somewhere where he could be sedated. I took him to another groomer the next day and finished the job and asked if he was aggressive and they said "no, not at all, he just didn't like his face cleaned so 2 people had to hold him." Needless to say I have found a new groomer. If you have a puppy or active animal don't take him here. They are not trained properly. read more
