Had taken my dog to this groomer for a few months, however the last time I took her left my dog in distressed and me very disappointed. They clipper burned her in several places and nicked her stomach which when I picked her up they try covering themselves by telling me that she probably has a previous scab that the groomer scratch off accidentally during bathing. She definitely did not have a scab before, however a big scab was formed a couple of days after they nicked her. Not only that, but a few days after, my dog developed skin infection that turned out to be MRSP which is transmitted not only from other dogs but through contact with contaminated surfaces and grooming tools. My dog is an inside dog and only interact with my other two dogs that are perfectly healthy. Obviously this place is not properly sanitized and now my dog has to be on antibiotics for weeks. Will definitely not be taking my dog back to this place. read more

We take our large dog here to get groomed once or twice a year, mainly because I don't like having to cut her nails. The price for a bath, flea check, nail cutting, anal glad expression, deshedding, ear cleaning, dry, etc. is $70. They are really backed up currently (booked her appointment about 1.5 weeks out) so you may have to call several times to get an appointment. The first time I was put on hold for over 15 mins so I tried again another day and it went to voicemail, which was actually good because they ended up texting me to set up the appointment. Kona always comes home smelling fresh (but not fragrant) and with a cute handkerchief tied around her neck. I usually get a call to pick her up around 1-1.5 hours after dropping her off. read more

It has taken me a long time to write this review. I was so infuriated by my experience here that I previously decided not to give a review and try to forget the entire experience. I took my Australian Shepherd here for a wash and trim in June 2020. When speaking to the groomer they told me it would be hard to trim him because his hair texture and they would need to cut some of the hair off. This should have been a red flag but it was my first time taking him to a groomer so I did not know any better. However, the groomer pulled out physical squares with hair cut samples so I could choose the exact length I was comfortable with. However, when I showed up I saw that they had almost completely shaved my dog. I was so shocked I could barely even speak. The shave wasn't even good, it was very choppy. I left without giving them a hard time which in hindsight I regret but I did not want to make a scene. I should have listened to the other reviews which say this has happened to other dogs. I have since taken my dog to other groomers for regular trims and it has gone perfectly. I don't understand why they believed his fur needed to be shaved. His fur was in very good condition, I brush him regularly. read more

As a dog owner I didn't care so much about groomers because I'm so used to doing dog maintenance myself. But as I got myself a poodle i realized the upkeep I would end up having to do was a lot more tedious than I thought. My Poodle has a big fear of the outside world. especially people and dogs that aren't her own siblings or family members, so I was immediately weary on doing groomers. I came across the paw spa and the moment I talked to them over the phone I immediately knew I was in good hands. They communicated so well with me being a first time guest. I told them how my dog was high strung and would get seizures with stressful situations and they suggested I gave her a CBD to calm her nerves which I picked up the day before her appointment when I went into the salon, I felt so welcomed by the staff, it was almost as if I just wanted to hang out with them the afternoon. The next day I came to drop off my dog. The groomer herself came to talk to me about what I wanted for my dog I was not sure and uneducated how to even style her so I gave my opinion and from there she decided what I should do for her hairstyle based on mine and my dogs personality, I felt so confident I left it completely up to her. Brought Skipper in for a dental cleaning Sunday. He is 13 so the no anesthesia procedure is attractive. It's so funny seeing many vets trying to trash this procedure as more people are moving to this option. It cuts into their bottom line of charging people 700$ plus to have the pet put under. Yeah vets, you grifters, pet owners do NOT want to put their own pet under. So sorry your losing money now you shysters. Don't worry you can keep getting kickbacks from peddling that Iams or science Diet slop as good food still. Drove an hour and a half and he is a nervous dog and gets upset easily, so was nervous myself. The entire cleaning only took a little over an hour. He had very bad plaque build up, etc etc. I picked him up and his teeth look fantastic! They do a fantastic job. They gave me a sheet with notes on what issues there were, how to correct them etc. Really happy now, was worried about his teeth and now they look amazing. Well worth the price, unlike common vets who like I said scalp you trying to put your dog under and charging hundreds. They have a nice line of quality natural products as well. The girl at the front desk told me there is something wrong with Pappy eye, it was red.It looked like it had been burned from razor to close to me. She told me to watch for it. I feed my dog and he is not the same dog. He ate but keep coughing and gagging. Eating food a spitting it out and running back and forth with each mouthful. I started praying, dear heavenly father something is wrong with my dog. He keeps hiding under the bed and will not come out. He is panting really heavy and very, very Sikhism. My daughter came home and he was shaking my daughter said oh he has a hair cut looked at his eye and we turned him over and noticed he has a sore underneath like a razor or pinched. Every he tries to eat when his tail drops he runs like he is in pain. My dog is not the same he will not come when I call him, and he was acting aggressive towards older dog, I took him down there to get my money back, I showed the girl at the desk look how he is acting..on the way to paw spa my dog was flipping out out in the back seat, as we were driving there.. I knew something allegedly happened. my daughter started crying again. As of now .This happened Thursday, it is Saturday and he is so far under the bed I can't get to him. He has not barked either. When you know you know something bad happened to him. I talked to receptionist she said sorry she didn't have enough time to check and grommer did put anything in her notes. I said of course not! Do you have cameras, she said no. In this day and age they should have cameras, the receptionist asked to give him a soak to relieve the razor burn I said no my dog was moving around and had high anxiety! I asked her to give my money bsck she said she already informed the owner and her husband was there and didn't even come out to talk to us. Next time I will make sure to go to a facility that has cameras and that you can clearly see my dog..next time I will just stay with him period. I have not been able to sleep, because I have this awful feeling of him, he is not ok. I am angry! God said let vengeance be mine. I have to get his eye checked and see about his trachea. My baby boy is everything to me, I am distraught. The receptionist said oh that little mark..don't dumb it down! I love the idea of just giving your pet a bath. All the products were there and easy to use the tub, etc. what I didn't like is the hair of other dogs still in the tub and drain. That tells me they're perhaps not as sanitary as they should be. I might give them another chance and point this out next time. read more

I found my new groomer & nail trim home!! I recently took both of my pit bulls in for a nail trim, and this was the best experience I've ever had!! Not only was the service quick, no appointment needed, and so reasonably priced, but the service was exceptional, and the customer service was phenomenal! The ladies there are true dog lovers and were even able to trim my high anxiety female pit bull's nails! The last 2 places I tried taking her could not handle her anxiety and were unable to complete the service, leaving her with overly long quicks and painfully long nails. I am one of those lucky people who owns a nearly maintenance free dog. Short haired, tiny, obedient, she is easy to groom at home....except when it comes to nail trimming. For years, I have been taking her to the grooming service attached to the local Petsmart to have her nails cut and filed. I am now mortified at my narrow-mindedness to stick with what I know. Recently I was told about Paw Spa. In spite of the fact it is practically down the street from my house, I had never even inquired, let alone stopped in. First, how surprised was I to find they are not just a grooming service. They also have a decently supplied (but small) store which offers high end, healthy pet foods, treats, shampoos, and other doggie paraphernalia. The kind I would definitely buy. My very picky little whippersnapper of a dog loves Stella and Chewy's brand products, and they carry an extensive line there; raw frozen style, dry kibble, or freeze dried patties. Not every store carries this brand, so in the past I have had to drive more than a few miles to get it. Better yet, their prices are comparable, maybe even lower than those other specialty stores. I am beating myself up over this oversight. But more surprises were forthcoming. I can bring my Lilly in for a nail trim and filing, without an appointment, for a mere $10. Do you realize I was paying more than double at the 'other" place, and frankly, they did not do as good a job, sometimes leaving the nails too long? Meaning more frequent visits. That will never be an issue from hereon in. Two young girls handled Lilly, working as a team to steady her as they worked on her nails. One held her, the other zipped through the process with lightening speed. Everything was done to my complete satisfaction. Better yet, they were rewarded by a happy, slobbery kiss from the pup. I came in to get my dogs groomed today and they completely botched both of the haircuts. There are bald patches all over both of my dogs and they shaved both down when I specifically asked for a light trim. They called me 2 hours into having them to tell me that that my doodle is "too matted" to keep long so if they want me to "continue the haircut, they have to cut his hair off".... by the looks of the botched haircut job, they shaved him too short in some places and they were covering their tracks. I have cut my dog myself before and he was NOT matted. He was NOT too tangled to keep his hair long. Also, when I was checking them in, I asked the lady that was taking him back to check for matting so I could be guaranteed the length I wanted. She checked him all over and said no he is good to keep his hair long. Just another reason it doesn't add up. I wanted teddy bear circular faces on both of my babies and I got a haggard crooked shaved haircut with bald patches all over both of them.... they also had my dogs for 5.5 hours today. How in the world was it necessary to keep them there that long? Ridiculous. They also randomly shaved both of my dogs tails off. NEVER EVER EVER have I had a groomer shave their tails off, but today they randomly decided to buzz them completely off. I went from two fluffy cutie pies to two buzzed sad dogs. Completely disappointed and will never ever ever be back. I will take my happy babies to Bonnie's Pampered Pets down the street. When my dogs get to Bonnie's, they're excited... which shows the level of care they give. (My dogs were crying, shaking and whimpering when i got to PawSpa today.. i should have just turned around and went home ) Bonnie's does a wonderful job, 100% of the time. Never ever ever again PawSpa! Don't waste your time with the PawSpa. Please learn from this review so you don't get your babies botched. :( I'll post before and after pics so you guys can see how botched my kids got. It's so depressing!!!! UPDATE TO COMMENT ON HER COMMENT: She even called my dogs by the wrong name so that says something for ya. Beyond that, I only chose to come to you instead of Bonnie yesterday because Bonnie was booked for 2 weeks and the dogs had rolled in dirt and got dirty while we were in Hawaii. Last comment: our bill was $196. My husband told you to "keep the change" from $200. That is not a tip. In my opinion that is worse than zero tip, as it is similar to a "F U" in our book. A normal tip for 3 dogs getting groomed would have been closer to $60. But if you take $4 as a good tip, then sheesh sis you might need to up your standards. read more

I used to love this place. But recently we've had an awful experience with the care taken by the groomers, or lack there of. Picking up Leo, my dog, I noticed he had a limp. Of course he did not have this limp before his appointment. So, we checked the paw that was obviously hurting him and found that an whole entire chunk of his paw pad was shaved off! The owner did make a comment about needing to shave/clean is paw very quickly while I was waiting for him because he stepped in some poop. Their carelessness had him limping for a week, on top of some antibiotics given to us by his vet to prevent infection. Tread with caution coming here, very hit or miss. read more

I am SO relieved and happy to have found The Paw Spa. If you are a cat owner in the Inland Empire looking for a groomer, look no further. You've found it! We have 3 rescue cats and had an unfortunate experience at the grooming facility we previously used. I wanted to find a new groomer, and spent many an afternoon searching online. None I found seemed right, and it was made more difficult because few groomers provide grooming for cats. It took me five rounds of searching various ways with varying word configurations to find The Paw Spa on yelp. It felt like maybe this was it, so I called the number. I explained my situation and was met with the most friendly, helpful person who completely understood. I made an appt for my little guy Bruno who would be my tester. On his appointment day, I met the owner Donna who wasn't sure the groomer could provide the cut I wanted, but brought groomer Lindsey out to assess. Lindsey was very willing to work with what I had requested and I was thrilled with the results. I was called after 3 hours and told he was ready for pick up. When I arrived I was told they had all fallen in love with Bruno and he'd been better than some of the dogs that day. When I got him home, he tried to get back in his carrier to go back to The Paw Spa. He's never willingly wanted to get in the carrier before. That sealed the deal for me. I'd found my new groomer! My two other cats have been since. I have them on rotation and one goes every month. Each time I am impressed with the staff and facility. Their prices are more than fair. They even request cats be brought in on Sunday so as not to be as traumatized by busy dog days. Once I had a mix-up on my appt day - entirely my error - and came on a Saturday. Donna graciously adjusted and allowed my pet to be groomed that day instead of making me leave and come back. Thank you Donna! Why lie on your YELP and say "all employees wear masks"? Only one person was wearing a mask out of the 4 people I saw. It's really inconsiderate for your customers and pets. Just so you all know, your dog can get the virus on it or even contract it and give it to you. For some reason, they want to save face online rather than be honest. I appreciate you saying that you'll be more diligent but why not wear glasses to prevent hair from getting in your employers eyes? Yes, pets can and have gotten COVID-19 https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/pets.html#:~:text=A%20small%20number%20of%20pets,not%20have%20any%20symptoms. I normally don't like leaving bad reviews but This shave was concerning to say the least. I'm cat sitting and I wanted to get my friends cat groomed while I have her especially because she has long hair, and this is the place where she's always gotten groomed now I'm a dog owner so this is my first experience taking a cat she's a big girl 25 lbs I dropped her off at 9am about two hours later they called to pick her up and they say something on the phone about the cat being stressed out, I'm not thinking much of it they're nice people so I get her in the kennel and I don't notice right away I pay $90 and rush home to make it to my appointments before work. When I get home that evening my friends cat is still stressed out liking herself constantly and I start looking at her and noticing half of her body is scratched up from the blade they used to shave her... I wasn't able to get all the pictures behind her legs because she wouldn't expose her cuts long enough - this is sad... Ill even be bold enough to say to who ever was allowed to work on my friends cat that it's animal abuse . Now some animals are harder to groom than others I understand that.. at which point call someone on file and let them know what's happening.. I would rather have a botched cut than actual cuts that will scab up and could possibly get infected .
