First time taking my dog to foxy fur, overall not pleased with the outcome or experience for a few reasons: 1. As mentioned above, the outcome wasn't great. I have typically taken my dog to Bonnies and asked for the same style haircut, however, the result was much different. Here they basically buzzed all her her, there was no style given to the cut if that makes ay sense. 2. When I went to pick her up, they ask for payment before bringing the dog out. This isn't a huge deal, however it's customary to tip, which I did, this method forces you to tip without seeing what you're paying for. An odd process. 3. I was told one price when I first made the appt., then charged a different price at pick up. 4. This didn't affect me, however, just thought it was excessive. You have one hour to pick up your pet due to busier times. For every extra hour after, they charge $25. read more

WOW---do I have doozy of a story. I brought my dog here on Friday 11/22 with the intention that my Mom would pick up the dog on her way in from Arizona. My Mom called me to notify me that she had the dog and that the cut was different than usual and then sent a photo. To my astonishment, it was not my dog (yes my Mom should know what my dog looks like as well). I immediately call Foxy Fur and explain the situation and this is part 1 of why they get 1 star---I asked them to verify my dog was at the groomer and they have no sort of checks & balances system to do so. They were unable to tell me if my dog was there and only advised that my mom bring back the dog (duh!). RED FLAG. My poor Mom is now 30 minutes away from the groomer (on the 91 frwy of all places) and returns with the dog. The front desk attendant cried, apologized and explained this has never happened before. Although, I understand she probably felt awful----she's not the victim. My Mom just drove 6 hours to have to add another hour to her trip---talk about wanting to cry. Part 2 of their 1 star is because nothing was offered to rectify the situation (ie implement a system to ensure that this does not happen again to anyone). The amount of "what-if's" from a mix-up like this are long so I'm glad all ended okay for everyone involved. Part 3 of their 1 star is because several months prior to this incident my husband picked up our dog approximately 45 minutes to an hour after they called to notify us the dog was ready. Unbeknownst to us they had implemented a system that if your dog was not picked up within a certain time they add an extra charge (been to a dozen groomers---never seen this before). So when my husband picked up our dog they informed us of their policy and didn't offer this as a courtesy notice. I thought it was tacky, tasteless and poor business practices but nonetheless my husband paid. I should've known at this point not to return to this business------as they obviously have their priorities a little mixed up-------prudent about charging an extra buck or two but not the whereabouts of your dog. This review is two part: 1) they did a great job on the full groom of not th my pups! Today was my first visit and my pups seem very happpy with their pamper session. Their prices are the ssame as wHat I was paying at my last groomer of 8 years. Living in a new area made me seek out another groomer and I was Verrazano pleased with the results. 2) here is why I am not giving a 5 star review. I didn't Nottingham until I went to take my pups out and was put ting on their leashes. Once I realized this, I felt horrible that I didn't notice sooner! The young lady at the front desk put the dogs' collars on extremely too tight. To the poinT I could not get one fiNger width between their collars aNd neck without tugging. Also, when I weeny to loosen the collars, they both were coughing and gasping for air because I had to cause the collar to tighten more in order to loosen it. Like, omg my poor pups! She really needs to be more conscious of how tight she is putting collars on pets. I just can't help but think how uncomfortable and possibly hurt they were from this. read more

We have two 60-70lb Labs. We tried Foxy Fur twice. First time we got a one time special discount $90 for both dogs to be bathed "Dapper Dog Wash &a Tidy Up". I liked the fact they had a play pen for the dog's versus being in a kennel. I decided to come back to Foxy Fur and asked over the phone what the price for our two dogs would be for the basic bath, since I knew the discount was a one time thing. The gentleman over the phone stated we had a special 10% discount the first time we came and that this time it will be $100. I confirmed the amount and sent my dogs. When my husband went to pick them up my husband called me and said the dogs were $120. I called the groomer to understand where the miscommunication happened and the gentleman stated I've tricked him and that the prices are written. In looking at their flyer now and it says large dogs (I.e. Labs) $50 and up for basic bath. Originally I gave this groomer a low review for their unprofessionalism in dealing with a customer and miscommunication. Also for not owning up to their mistake in saying the wrong information to a customer and for taking $20 dollars in such a way. He ended up accusing me of trickery, spoke over me while I was talking and ended up hanging up the phone on me... I'm so appalled at their way of conduct in running a business. Later on the afternoon the female owner called and left a message apologizing for interaction and shared they are a new business going through some growing pains and shared she would have not dealt with the situation that way, which is understandable. She apologized once again regards to the interaction I had with the male employee and offered to void the transaction. I appreciated her call and her efforts to keep a customer happy so I'm revising my reviews because every business can make mistakes but it really is about how they take responsibility and the customer experience they provide. I am saddened that our experience here was not great! It has been three days since we had our puppy try this place out for full groom. Our puppy seemed traumatized with whatever he experienced in this place. I am glad that one of his paws is all better now as it was bleeding the day we got him. Probably they cut it too short or hit a nerve. His face wasn't too clean when we got him too. There were dog hair all over the car from grooming. It seemed that the did not blow his hair out after they cut them. I definitely do not recommend this place if you care and love your puppy so much. read more

This review is for the self wash. I took my husky today. She has thick fur. The water pressure was HORRIBLE. It would even penetrate her fur, which is super frustrating when you are trying to was a double coated dog. One plus, is they did give me extra shampoo when I needed it. Their blow dryers are so weak. It would have taken me hours to dry her. Which means I couldn't effectively brush her. It was a total waste of money I'm my book. Definitely won't be going backs *if it is not made from thick hair dogs, they should have addressed that either on their website, on when i walked in with a husky. BEFORE I wasted my time and money. I bought a Groupon for a "tidy up" glad I did! I made an appointment for the next day, a weekday. Got her there 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Showed the voucher and left our pup there. First time customer - unfortunately we won't be coming back. My mother in law brought our schnauzer in 2 weeks ago and when she picked him up the groomer told us he did great, however, unpon bringing him home we noticed that he had been cut/nicked. He wasn't bleeding when she picked him up but he kept licking his paw so we went to look. Sure enough there was a cut, we're assuming he licked the wound and opened it back up again. I understand that accidents happen but not notifying the owners is unacceptable. The haircut was alright, but our previous groomer did a better job. So the short review would have been. Great work and great pricing. Recommend 100%. But here is the full review. My 3 dogs were dirty. I usually wash them myself but I am disabled and waiting on surgery to fix my disability. Foxy Fur was able to get my dogs in on the same day. And I have 3 big dogs all PitBulls or Pit bull mixes. As where some would baulk because of their size( 120lbs, 100lbs and 70lbs ) or their type. Foxy Fur had no problem and told me to bring them down. I could not bring them all in one trip so the biggest first and when I picked him up I brought the other 2. When I Picked up my 120 lb Billy he was the happiest I have ever seen him when picking him up from a bath. You see they do not put your dog in a crate while waiting before or after their bath. The have a pretty large size run right there inside. As I walked up to the counter I could see Billy wagging his tail and smiling. Before he even saw me. It means a lot to me how my dogs are treated and at Foxy Fur they are treated like family. They treat your babies like family. Dogs can tell what kind of people you are. And if mine don't likei you good luck getting them to let you brush their teeth or trim their nails. All 3 - Billy, Jaxson and Brin came home happy and clean. A clean dog is a happy dog and my 3 will be going back for their next bath for sure. So if you are on the fence about switching groomers, I would definitely recommend Foxy Fur. I don't have an after picture of everybody. Just Billy. But here is a good before pic of everyone. The after of all 3 would just be the same with bigger smiles. Oh and let's talk pricing. I first tried taking him to Petco, and the groomer made me feel so bad about him not liking his paws touched. It's a common thing that Dachshund's don't like to have their paws touched and it may be frustrating, but no need to make the owner feel bad for it. Foxy Fur has never once complained about it, and always let me know how good of a boy he is. With their patience and him getting used to having his paws touched, it doesn't bother him at all anymore. Came here for the self grooming. The staff were friendly and greeted me as I walked in the door. Self grooming was $18 for my dog (80lb Rottweiler, but I believe it is the same price for any size/breed). The self grooming section was clean and they supplied shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, towels, pet colognes, etc. I would highly suggest bringing your own shampoo/conditioner that you wish to use on your pet because the ones they keep here are extremely watered down. There are two elevated wash tubs in the self grooming area.. I used the tub on the left side of the grooming area, and the water pressure was very low, so this practically tripled the time it would normally take me to bathe my dog. If I do return, I will make sure I bring my own shampoo and conditioner and will try the tub on the right side (this tub seemed a bit shorter) to see if the water pressure is any better! read more

Do not bring your dog here. I brought my pomeranian for a full grooming service and asked for a light scissor trim and when I picked him up they had completely shaved his coat down to the undercoat. I didn't understand even after showing a picture of the light trim I requested and the groomereven took a picture on her phone for reference. I'm afraid my pomeranian baby boy's fur will never be the same. If you love your pet do some research.
