    I go here for my dog quite a bit, they have a large selection of pet toys and food here, they have a groomer and you can bring your dog in here and they have a little trainning area for you and your dog(s). The staff is kind and friendly and will help with whatever questions you have.

    Nice selection of dog toys and treats, although can be somewhat pricey. When they have clearance sales, though, you can get GREAT deals!!

I wanted him less then half the length that we talked about. Then she called me 30 mins later again asking what I wanted. Idk if she didn't start till then or what? When I got him home I took a closer look and his face was trimmed and belly was shaved but that's it. My 1st experience was a lot better so I thought I'd try again but that was a bad idea. I knew from hearing from other passed clients that was a bad idea but I always try to give benefit of the doubt.. nope never again

    I worked there for 4 days and that was more than enough. Thankfully my personal business required…read moreme to leave or I would have had to leave anyway. The staff did not play with the dogs. Instead, they would watch and yell at the dogs constantly. I've taken my dogs to daycares before and they all have supported play. The point is to burn all the energy. Since the dogs don't have any stimulation to occupy themselves, many high energy dogs would become aggressive to others. These dog owners were notified their dog was not compatible with others, when in fact their dog was just bored. If you were to tour the facility, you will find two separate play areas, no toys or things for them to climb on. You'll also find a smaller outdoor enclosure, with a child's playhouse. Again, nothing for the dogs to play with. I also witnessed breed discrimination, labeling a pit as aggressive when he was only defending himself. These people have no clue what they're doing!

    **This is really long, but I want to communicate my full experience to others who may be looking…read morefor an emergent hospital when their pet needs it.** I just want to praise Blue Pearl for all of the support they provide when I'm worried about my pet. Whenever I call I get a supportive person who calms me down by explaining what could be happening. Also, they don't even charge me when I call, which is amazing in itself. My little guy has seizures and when it first started I was in a major panic. (I've gotten more used to it now and can handle it better on my own because I know how to care for him.) But anyway, I called today for a separate reason. My Yorkie was swallowing hard. I called Blue Pearl to get advice and they were very patient. They told me I could come in or monitor for additional symptoms (and listed what those would be). I decided to monitor him for symptoms and not more than an hour later he had diarrhea and vomiting. (Neither of these are very unusual for him, but having them occur in sequence with the vomiting was concerning.) I called Blue Pearl a second time and explained what was happening. The nurse (I wish I recalled her name) was so knowledgeable. I explained that he had eaten plants outside earlier today and she then explained how the leaves and stems can irritate their throats. She told me I was welcome to come in and get something to soothe his throat or continue to monitor him and take him to my vet in the morning. I appreciated her explaining things and providing options. Right now, I'm monitoring him. Thank you, Blue Pearl! I cannot express how much I appreciate having somewhere to turn after hours (it was between 7 and 8:15 pm) for support!

This company required 150.00 payment when I walked in the door, previous to seeing my animal at all. 2am and still required a wait of several hours. The top off was veterinarian Alexandra Hohman, who was zombie-like and very uncomfortable to deal with. Completely unsympathetic. To put my animal in the hands of someone so uncaring is something that I will ALWAYS regret. She seems to have been let go from the company. -- NOTE: I had been to this place years ago, AND IT WAS GREAT, with a nice and helpful and kind vet. The vet this time made it clear that she could not give a damn. As sick as my poor boy was, I am ashamed of myself for having made the choice to see Hohman.

Once I brought in our standard poodle and he was such a mess! I didn't realize how matted he was from two months of no grooming. Bree was so sweet and kind, she cleaned him up and called me to tell us that his tail would have to be shaved because it was so matted. She wanted to make sure it was alright with us. I know that our dog has great and loving care when he is there. I schedule his appointments early in the morning, around 730am with Bree. Our dog is the only one Bree works on at this time and he's usually done in 2 hours. This is unlike PetSmart in which you drop off your dog in the am and then pick up in the pm because they do so many dogs at once. I know our dog is not going to be placed wet and cold into a crate while the groomer works on another dog. We are from the West Coast and when we moved here we didn't know where to go for grooming. We had two poodles but one has since passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Poodles need good and patient groomers. Gwen's has been great with my request not to have our white poodle be shaved with a size 40 razor since he is sensitive and gets skin burns easily. The cons are that they are disorganized with scheduling. There have been several times when I have scheduled an appointment, I called to confirm, and then being told there is no appointment. We were very spoiled by our previous groomer on the West Coast. She was an excellent groomer. She did not require yearly immunizations for our dogs. Another con is that we must have yearly immunizations for our dogs. If you are a holistic pet owner and you want to vaccinate every 3 years, then you could not bring your dog here. On a scale of 1-10, Gwen's grooming is a 7. It is not excellent. I have had two excellent groomers in the past. It is not bad grooming either. I would rate this as above average. I can live with the cons as long as I know my dog is safe and being groomed individually. I am confident Gwen's will take excellent care of my dog.
