We have regularly boarded our two big Irish Doodles at Cedar Run for several years. We also use their Day Care, bathing, and grooming services. We have consistently been delighted with all their services. The staff is friendly to us and caring to our dogs. The Webcams allow us to watch our dogs while they're at Cedar Run, which we love. The dogs are each in a pack all day (not kenneled most of the time, as some providers do), always very well supervised, and the premises are clean inside and out. We also receive a "Report Card" after each visit with pictures of our guys and commentary about their stay. We can't say enough good things about Cedar Run and very highly recommend them. read more

I've been meaning to get my dog into daycare regularly for years, but only recently have we started going to Cedar Run. A friend of a friend works here and I'd heard from coworkers that their dogs absolutely love it. Our first visit, I was going out of town and they were able to squeeze him in for a few days of boarding with daycare included. We got a free day of playgroup so he could check it out, which really eased my nerves about dropping him off. I love to watch the cameras of the dogs playing and the staff send pictures at the end of each day. (These are also posted to their social media, so it's fun to try to spot my dog lol.) I've had really minimal interaction with the staff, but no complaints there. I find the pricing to be pretty affordable and in-line with what I'd expect to pay for all day care. My dog has a blast and is always pooped by the end of his play date. I highly recommend taking your babies here! read more

Outstanding service! At drop off and pick up they treated my lab like family. I was able to watch my lab live via camera feeds in the play area. Prices little higher than others in area but it's worth it all knowing my dog was safe and enjoying his staycation playing with other dogs. It was a great social retreat for him. My lab got a wash/nails before pick-up, very cheap and one of the best nail clips I've seen. This place is top notch and your pet will thank you. read more

This place has great prices when compared to any boarders in the area. When compared to places as clean and modern as this, it's a steal. We love watching our dogs on the webcams (ask them for instructions). We also take our dogs here for grooming. We can drop them off in the morning, and after they're done they get free doggy daycare until we pick them up. read more

Great boarding experience for our older dog. It was important for us to find a place that did not use chain link kennels. Cedar Run was the perfect choice with their panel fenced kennels. Love the fact that each kennel has it's own door with outside access. Another great feature is that the drop-off and pick-up times are not limited. You can drop-off and pick-up anytime during their open hours. Our dog had a great 9 day stay. Pictures of her playing with other dogs showed that she had fun during her stay. We were also surprised that she seemed to have been bathed and nails trimmed when we picked her up. Saved me from having to bathe her when we got home! read more

First time here and very impressed. We usually have someone come into our home to stay with our dogs but that is getting more difficult. So visited different boarding facilities in the area and found this one to be my choice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I dropped on Thurs and picked up on Sun. My two shared a room, they are each around 35lbs. Best part is they are not stuck in a kennel all day and night. They get to socialize (if you want) with other dogs and play their hearts out! No extra charge, all included in the boarding cost. When I dropped them off I walked them back to their room and then outside to go check things out. I believe the gentleman's name is Dan that helped me and he was AWESOME! Pick up was smooth (they do not take AMEX) and I didn't feel stressed once about them being there. FYI: Bella is 13 and she was with just a few dogs during the day. Jake is 2 and he got to go in the "rowdy bunch" playground. Fantastic experience~! read more

Great place to take your dog or cat! They really care about animals and have tons of training, grooming, and socialization advice. Sonja and her staff have done a great job making me and my dog repeat happy customers. She goes to play groups where she has fun all day and then when we have to board her to go on vacation she's happy to be there (much better than having her cry when we leave her at the vets)! The facility is great and the service is too- don't hesitate to ask questions, all the staff that I've met is knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I have taken my 4 dogs here for several years now, and would never take them anywhere else!!! The facilities are amazingly clean and modern, but it's the staff that really makes the difference. They are great with all of my dogs, which have very different personalities, and are always so friendly. It feels more like I'm dropping my fur babies off with friends than "boarding" them. I also highly recommend their bathing/grooming services. I have taken my dogs to a few other places for bath and nail trims, and the quality of this service is the best. It is also nice that I can get this done while they are already there for boarding. After trying a couple of other places in the Cedar Rapids area, I can definitely say that Cedar Run is by far the best, and their prices are more than fair!! read more
