Lots of customers and people milling about training their dogs. I wish we had been in and out quickly, but not on this day. After our dog adoption was complete, I had several things to buy. All good there and several items were on sale, or we had coupons. Very good customer service. 4/5 stars because we were out of the parking lot before I realized I had been charged for 2 bags of dog food. I returned to the store because it was $20. Rather than wait for a refund, I just grabbed another bag of what I had been charged twice for. The cashier was very apologetic and even seemed a little embarrassed. Visit Petsmart during the week - unless you don't mind shopping around lots of other customers and experiencing long lines.

UPDATE: We just found out that we can get the bath package with nail trim for our dogs for about…read morethe same price as it is to just get their nails done - game changer. I'm not sure that'll be true for everyone as I think the bath price takes size and coat into consideration. (Also, they mentioned an upcharge for grooming appointments Friday-Sunday.) Anywho, I called in the morning and they were able to sneak us in for back-to-back appointments that afternoon. As we arrived, we noticed their names were on the salon board out front. Celeb status! We dropped the dogs off and two hours later were called back to the store for pickup. Our babies came back to us soft and sleek, smelling like oranges, and rocking a cool new bandana. We weren't as pleased with their mani/pedis, but that's a shape preference more than anything. Some of the ladies are better at pawdicures than others, oh well. It was great not to have to wrestle the dogs into the tub and then watch everything in my house become one big towel for them lol. The bath service turned out to be super convenient and affordable for us. We're already looking forward to our next visit! -------- We pretty much only come here to get our dogs' nails done. I loved my PetSmart in Arkansas, but this location is slim pickins as far as treats and doesn't run nearly as many deals on toys. Since we only do the pawdicure, it's considered a walk-in (cannot he booked online, as far as I can tell) though there isn't usually much of a wait so we can do both dogs fairly quickly. The pawdicure service for $20 includes a nail trim/grind and cleaning of the ears. The "menu" says it also includes bandana and scented spray and while I don't want either, I've never been offered. By now, my dogs have hassled every tech in the salon and still came out with pretty nails. These ladies are patient and thorough and as far as I can tell, the nicest people in the store. So, 4 stars because I love the grooming salon staff and might just be too picky about the other stuff lol. They just don't have the selection of natural treats I'm looking for and I can get my tough toys cheaper online elsewhere.

Whenever I call I get a supportive person who calms me down by explaining what could be happening. Also, they don't even charge me when I call, which is amazing in itself. My little guy has seizures and when it first started I was in a major panic. (I've gotten more used to it now and can handle it better on my own because I know how to care for him.) But anyway, I called today for a separate reason. My Yorkie was swallowing hard. I called Blue Pearl to get advice and they were very patient. They told me I could come in or monitor for additional symptoms (and listed what those would be). I decided to monitor him for symptoms and not more than an hour later he had diarrhea and vomiting. (Neither of these are very unusual for him, but having them occur in sequence with the vomiting was concerning.) I called Blue Pearl a second time and explained what was happening. The nurse (I wish I recalled her name) was so knowledgeable. I explained that he had eaten plants outside earlier today and she then explained how the leaves and stems can irritate their throats. She told me I was welcome to come in and get something to soothe his throat or continue to monitor him and take him to my vet in the morning. I appreciated her explaining things and providing options. Right now, I'm monitoring him. Thank you, Blue Pearl! I cannot express how much I appreciate having somewhere to turn after hours (it was between 7 and 8:15 pm) for support!

Impossible bad. Alex Hohman was the vet on duty. Extremely uncaring, and seems to dislike animals…read more No help and no information. This company required 150.00 payment when I walked in the door, previous to seeing my animal at all. 2am and still required a wait of several hours. The top off was veterinarian Alexandra Hohman, who was zombie-like and very uncomfortable to deal with. Completely unsympathetic. To put my animal in the hands of someone so uncaring is something that I will ALWAYS regret. She seems to have been let go from the company. -- NOTE: I had been to this place years ago, AND IT WAS GREAT, with a nice and helpful and kind vet. The vet this time made it clear that she could not give a damn. As sick as my poor boy was, I am ashamed of myself for having made the choice to see Hohman.

Hey, Qwen! Maybe this will get your attention…read more I've never posted something like this about a local business, typically I'd have a conversation with said business in private- however, do NOT take your pets to: Gwen's Pet Grooming Inc. - Cedar Rapids I wanted to share our recent experience with Gwen's Pet Grooming who we were referred to for our 2.5-year-old, 7lb Pomeranian. When we picked her up, they made us pay before handing her over. Right after, they casually mentioned, "Sorry, we accidentally gave her brush burn. We didn't do the Teddy Bear cut because there are different variations, but next time we'll get it right...oh and she has sores all over her back from the burn" My husband immediately requested to be refunded and asked to speak to the owner, but we weren't refunded, and the owner hasn't called. Our dog was starting to show signs of distressed, so we decided to leave so we could assess her and take appropriate next steps. We have been able to assess her and found she has red spots all over her back and at least four open wounds that are still bleeding and dried blood on her back where she had been bleeding. The parts that are open and bleeding she won't let us get picture's because yelps and tries to nip at us when we touch her near those areas- which is so out of character for her. *She lets us get a good look at them at first, we did have to hold her down because she was yelping* We're now taking her to the vet to get checked out. I really regret not doing more research before trusting this place. Be careful where you take your pets- even if it's a referral from a friend. The pictures are of the red marks that aren't open wounds- if, and IF this is "brush burn" they had to have been incredibly forceful on a 7lb dog. I'm sure I'll be blocked by Qwens within the hour, that seems to be the way she rolls instead of dealing with situations head on.

The woman was 30 min late- then he was caged and got a terrible scratches on his snout. They still charged the extra for not being caged- even though he was. Terrible and stressful experience for our dog.
