Every time I go here they do not have what I need for my Amazon Parrot always out of everything. Went to the Petsmart in Ventura had everything I needed including a beautiful bed for our dog. I don't know but the prices are more at this Pets Mart that the Ventura Store? read more

Worst grooming experience ever! Chris R. has been grooming her pet for just over a year. Then, we would get there and they would tell us she had a family emergency (3 times!!). Then we get there and they said she wasn't feeling good. I made an appointment with her one more time. I made it for Friday the 21st. She called two days ago and said she would like to move it to Wednesday (today) at 2:30. I said fine. I took half a day of vacation because I like to stay with her in the store while she's getting groomed. I left work, got our dog, and drove her to the PetSmart on Las Posas. They said there was nothing on the schedule. Then Chris walked in and was as cold as ever. The girls told her why I was there and she said, oh, I guess I didn't transfer it to the right day and just sat there looking at me. I said can anyone else do it and she said no. I said anytime? She said no, we're really booked up. So I just said well, I'll leave then. Maybe I'll call you but probably not since this is the fifth time you have cancelled on me. (You may be thinking I'm a bad tipper but quite the opposite. I always leave them 10.00 or 15.00 on top of my bill. A bill which she tells me to get the knots out and bathe her the day before I bring her in. Geez, what's left. A run with the razor over her and that is $65.00. I'll be going somewhere else from here on. You got your wish Chris R! Plus I'll be glad to share my experience with all my coworkers who have pets. read more

Took our dog in to get groomed and we went earlier than our appointment so that we wouldn't be late. We walked around for a bit with our dog to pass the time and went in at 12 as our appointment was scheduled for 12pm. The groomer herself was almost 10 minutes late to the appointment despite us being told she would be there on time. We then told the groomer about our dog's anxiety and explained she doesn't like small spaces as they tend to freak her out if she's in there for too long. We explained to her that she might get shaky and could potentially have a small panic attack as she was already nervous because of multiple other dogs crying in the back of the groomers. The groomer was made aware of this and she said she understood and agreed to still provide the service. We then left our dog and went to a store about 5-10 minutes up the road just in case we had to go pick her up sooner than expected. Towards what was meant to be the end of the appointment, the groomer called to inform us that our dog had started to have a panic attack but instead was calling it a seizure after being corrected multiple times. As groomers, you should know the difference between a panic attack and an actual seizure as they look VERY different. We told the groomer we did NOT want her driven by ANY OF THE EMPLOYEES to the vet as she has already been to the vet for this and we were told it's an anxiety related episode that she will come out of once calmed. I explained this multiple times to her as did my boyfriend. The groomer then explained to us what had happened. She stated they got through the entire appointment with no issues up until she took her to the back and LEFT HER IN THE KENNEL SURROUNDED BY OTHER CRYING DOGS BY HERSELF AFTER BEING TOLD SHE DOES NOT LIKE SMALL SPACES. And after who KNOWS HOW LONG she finally went to go complete her appointment and.cut her nails when she noticed the dog was having a panic attack. The smart people at petsmart then proceeded to take my SAINT BERNARD and put her in an EVEN SMALLER KENNEL and proceed to stick her in the back of some employees car and drive her ALL THE WAY TO THOUSAND OAKS. Who KNOWS when this was all done or how long after it had happened that they called because when we got there after literally a 5 minute drive, the manager said "She's already there." Mind you this hospital is all the way in WESTLAKE. That is a 15-20 minute drive that apparently took her LESS THAN 5 MINUTES TO MAKE. You took my dog from CAMARILLO TO WESTLAKE AFTER I EXPLICITLY TOLD YOU NOT TO. You shoved her in an even smaller kennel after being made aware of that being a problem and let your wreckless driver of an employee take her all the way to another city where she sat for TWO HOURS for NOTHING. NO EXAMINATION WAS EVEN DONE. SHE SAT IN A HOSPITAL FOR TWO HOURS FOR NO REASON. And you just brushed it off as if it was no big deal. The groomers here are cruel and do NOT listen to anything you tell them and the manager just brushes it off an acts as if you don't know your own dog. Not to mention the fact that this manager kept trying to avoid dealing with me and attempted to try to speak to only my boyfriend since I guess he knows better than I would. You need to do better a company and hire some better groomers that actually LISTEN to the issues any dogs brought into your care have. You guys are cruel to the animals in your care and I will never take any animals to your store again and I will absolutely warn everyone I can about your "services" read more

I have taken my Yorkie here since I first adopted him two years ago for grooming, each time other than the first I've had to take him back to fix his cut or to complete the job the way I instructed. Yesterday i picked him up and the had not trimmed his ears, tail and nails the way I requested so I had them finish it off. But following directions seems to not be part of their skill set, going beyond my request and trimming his face further because the groomer thought it would look better. I didn't request this and didn't want it. I will never go back to their grooming salon. read more

This place is clean and the staff is friendly. They have great discounts so check the paper and watch for coupons.

This was, for years, my go to pet supply store, until today. Two days ago I bought a couple hundred dollars worth of aquarium and related necessities for my Son's X-mas gift. I was so impressed with the price, I returned today to buy an entire second setup for the living room as well. I had previously purchased one of those huge beef bones for my dog. It was ultra dried out and powdery and came apart in my hands when I removed the shrink wrap. I meant to return it before purchasing the aquarium setup, but was curtly told by an assistant manager that "that's how they're supposed to be, and besides, we don't sell them here." Oh, but you do, there were even two people w/me when I bought it and a store employee told me they would get more before Christmas. A follow up call (after my interaction with Corporate.) from the store mgr. was equally frustrating and non productive. Well, I'll be damned if I'll spend around $500 in two days and all of my years pet needs at a store that knows me, yet thinks I'd con them out of $2.75, or, rather than stand behind a badly defective or inferior product, simply say they don't carry it. I'll shop at Petco and online before I deal with all that! read more

I come here often since I adopted my kitten from here a few months ago and I never have a bad experience. The employees are great and always helpful! read more

I love coming to petsmart and so does my kitty haha They always have something cool to play with, and they have everything you could need. It's nice to have somewhere to go instead of having to order from online. See you again soon! read more

My city has 2 big pet stores and I've shopped at both of them for years, I love the staff at this PetSmart always warm and welcoming. Ready to help when I even think about being confused its like some weird mind reading power. and the merchandise is always clean and reasonably priced. The staff knows their stuff and its all around a pleasant place for me and my dog to roam around in. read more

WAS a customer at PetSmart for years but not any more. The manager on duty was extremely rude, had to wait 10 minutes to get fish, girl on register was on an ipad or her phone with no customers in line, AND there was a woman inside the bird enclosure trying to snare birds with her left hand and a net in her right hand. People were screaming at her!! One woman took her kids and walked out the door! It was a horrible experience!! read more

Super happy! They always have what I need, even when it's strange. My dogs are always excited to go and look around. But my biggest thing is the nightcrawlers here! Went on a last minute fishing trip and got nightcrawlers from this store. They were far better than any worm we have ever gotten from any tackle shop! Got a fish on almost every single one! The customer service getting the worms was awesome and they were beyond expectations. Keep it up! read more

Yikes!!!! Our dog came back looking like a rat literally. Partly, I blame my husband because he obviously didn't know what to tell the groomer. However, if this was a professional groomer they would have asked what "type" of cut we want for our poodle: sport cut, poodle cut. What he got was "completely bald cut". I sincerely doubt anyone wants this cut or would ever ask for this cut for their poodle or dog with hair. It's a lesson learned for my husband, but Petsmart Groomers, I think you need to know a little bit more about specific cuts for specific dogs or at least be more clear about what a "short" cut is going to look like on a poodle & then show a picture of a rat with a big head! Honestly, worst cut I have ever seen on a dog! At least he's clean & smells good. :-/ read more

Stephanie did a fantastic job with my 2 Maltese - Maltese/Lhasa Apso dogs. They not only looked great but the really liked Stephanie too. I highly recommend her! read more

The grooming staff here is exceptionally knowledgable and do a lot to make sure your pet is comfortable and happy. They do a great job and are always eager to answer any questions you have. I would give 5 stars for their training. January is the best trainer out there. She treats each dog like they are her own and really cares about the dogs education. The training is pricey but January makes it worth it. The grooming salon on the other hand is hit or miss. The first time I brought my puppy in, Teezy was his groomer and she was very nice and gave my puppy a great cut. Most recently I've had a not so great experience. Chris is one of the rudest ladies I've ever met. When I walked into the grooming salon she didn't even say hi and right away explained how my puppy isn't eligible for the puppy cut because he is 5 months old. All over the site and the text alerts, they say puppies up to 5 months are eligible. Then she begins to tell me how I am unfair to my dog because his hair is long (he's a shitzu) and he needs to be shaved. She continues to yell at another associate and tells her how to do her job. Luckily the other associate was the one who is going to be handling my puppy. Chris was extremely abrasive with another dog she was handling at the time. Looks like I'll be learning how to cut my dog in my own or taking him to a local groomer instead of this place. 4 hours later I am still waiting to pick up my baby. read more

Exceptional customer service. I couldn't use a gift card that I received in an online purchase. I called the store and spoke to Jessica. After going out of the way and calling customer service for me, we were unable to resolve the issue (through no fault of hers). She told me to come in and she would give me a discount for all the trouble I went through. When I went into the store, her staff was immediately there to help me find what I was looking for and when Jessica came up front to help me check out she was very courteous, professional and helpful. I have gone to Petco in the past because Petsmart didn't have my dog's food. Now that they do, they will have a loyal customer. read more

there fish department is much better than the selection and health of the fish at Petco. Staff was friendly and attempting to be helpful but with most chains one person is an expert and the others are just being trained. As I bought a fish it was painful for me (and probably for the fish too) to watch a new hire try to catch and bag the fish and she said I wasn't allowed to do it myself. 3 stars read more

Adopted a kitten there 4 days ago. Everything looked okay while there and signing my life away....questioned the manager about health and he said everything was good. Questioned him regarding the kittens belly being a little bloated and crusty ear...."kittens is great!" of course when kitty had her first BM at home it was full of tapeworms. Okay. So I took to the vet and got some meds....no big deal $138 (fecal test, felv test negative and felv shot, prov. worming neck solution.) 2 days later I took to vet for crusty scabs (that seem to magically grow bigger overnight) and found out he has a BAD case of ringworm (about 10 areas over body.) Apparently it's common amongst shelter animals because the fungus is hardy and can survive for a year. I'm not happy. I'm happy I adopted a pet and paid $60.....not happy with the additional $138 plus estimated $250+ to keep kitty quarantined and "bath dipped" for 4 nights (so I don't pass ringworm into my new apartment and on to her friends coming over to visit the kitten.) What am I going to do? I'm not going to get rid of the kitten that I rescued from a shelter....seriously I thought about it....it put me in a corner. $600 in 5 days....including all supplies needed to care for an indoor kitten. Big lesson learned....Wow. Disappointed beyond belief. Tainted my outlook on rescuing other animals or trying to do the right thing. read more

Horrible service! I dropped my dog off for a bath and a nail trim for what I was told would only be 30 minutes. It took 3 hours before they even got to my dog. What made it worse was the attitude of of the grooming staff. Don't be lured by the low prices; stay away. read more

I will never take my dogs back to be groomed at this PetSmart. My dogs look like rescue dogs and they are traumatized. One of my dogs will not come out from under the bed. I have had dogs all of my life and never have they been so terribly groomed as these two were today. Definitely do not trust this salon. read more

My husband and I had the best experience ever in a pet store. We were looking for cats to adopt and ran into 2 older cats begging to come home. From start to finish it was a whirlwind of joy. I wish I had taken names down because they all deserve a shout out. The first assistant was chatty and pleasant and had no issues showing us the cats - this is a far cry from petsmart Simi Valley where they refuse to even show you the cats and keep them locked up and the assistants seem irritated to even be there. After deciding we definitely wanted to adopt the paperwork was simple. We received two coupon books loaded with goodies so while we shopped leisurely they prepped the cats and helped us carry everything outside. They all went above and beyond to make sure everyone including the cats were happy. They even included the cutest blankets and carriers and sent us with a very affordable cat tree. Adopting pets should feel good for everyone and this place nailed it. The cats came from VCAS. They are healthy, loving and calm. I hope they carry more cats in the future because people want to see and interact with the cats and after all of our searching high and low, this was the only place we could get up and personal in a relaxed environment. read more

I have taken my 1 1/2 year old dog Stacey (Pomeranian/Silky Terrier) through 4 training classes at the Camarillo Pet Smart. Stacey has gone through puppy, intermediate and advanced training classes. She is currently attending a tricks class. Our trainer January is awesome. Stacey is a rescue who was nervous with separation anxiety issues. She was afraid of medium and large sized dogs. Through the training instruction we have received she is no longer an anxious dog. She has been socialized with many other dogs at Pet Smart and is now comfortable being around larger dogs. Stacey has learned all of the basic commands such as sit, lay down, stay, heal etc. In her current tricks class, she has learned to shake, wave, do high 5 and sit-up and beg. She has become so well behaved that I am able to take her everywhere with me. She loves to go shopping, especially to Home Depot and Ross. I am very thankful to have received such great training instruction from January. She has a passion for training dogs which is evident in every class that she teaches. read more
