Our dog has anxiety / separation issues, and he went with the staff with no difficulty. When we came to pick him up, he was tired. Our dog is a bit anti-social but we're hoping putting him in doggy daycare will help him open up a bit more and play with other dogs. You know the staff cares if they remember the name of your dog when you drop him off. I trust them 100% and I know they will take good care of him. The price is not bad itself - they do offer packages if you ask them. Thank you for welcoming my boy! Will definitely be a regular to their services and hoping to try their grooming services in the future.

You can tell she loves pets as she has a large fish tank for her fishes, birds and I believe the cat was hers too. Do plan ahead though as she takes her time with the dogs and needs 3 hours for each dog to ensure everything is properly done and not rushed. The owner/groomer is very personable. My baby loves him haha. He does a good job everytime. He follows instructions. You may bring a picture of the kind of cut you want for your fur baby and he will try his best to copy it. The salon also sells pet clothes and they're reasonably priced. Overall my baby and myself have a very good experience at this place. I highly recommend.

I paid her $178.50 to groom my Maltese. I told her I was growing her hair long when booking the…read moreappointment and twice before she took the dog into the van, only to have her cut all her fur off to less than an inch all over her body. My dog is a year and a half, and her hair had never been cut ever since she was born, and now it will take years for it to grow back after this. Not only did she cut the fur off, the cut itself was so extremely poor, I've had people ask me if I cut it myself. I posted the post-groom pictures on my Maltese group online, and the consensus was this person is not a "master groomer". Every single leg is cut different, her face is different on either side, there are scissor cuts left in the fur all over her body. She did have a top knot before the groom, and I told the groomer that I like to put it in a ponytail every single day, and she cut it so uneven and short that she herself had to put it into two ponytails because it's almost impossible to have it put into one ponytail with how it's cut. And to be clear, I handed over a dog that had ZERO knots or mats in her fur. I combed through her fur with a metal comb less than an hour before the groomer arrived. Completely devastating when I was so specific. Within minutes of meeting the groomer by her van, she told me that my dog was not a purebred (I have papers), that she had a blocked tear duct, and that her hair would never grow long. I brought her to the vet the next day because of course I was worried if she maybe she did have a blocked tear duct. A $90 veterinarian examination fee and five minutes later to be told her eyes are perfectly fine. And then there another $90 for another groom to have this absolutely terrible cut fixed. What a nightmare. If you're looking for a specific cut, while this person identifies as a "master groomer", the cut she gave she might as well be working at Petsmart, which is where most people thought I brought my dog to have her hair done. So in total, I have paid $358 to have my 5 pound dog trimmed. I also wonder if she is even an actual working groomer now. She showed up in a van that was completely smashed up on the side, and when I looked in her van, it looked more like storage than a place where a dog could be groomed. Never again. So ripped off. The first two pictures are right after the groom in the van, and the last picture is the beautiful dog I handed over to her.

Not one of those fast turnover outfits where there are cages for dogs and meet up pet areas (which Olive no longer enjoys). It was one on one attention. Olive happily entered and left equally happily, with a spring in her step. Kinu is a sweetheart. She has two elderly chihuahua-type dogs herself. Loved seeing the photos of them on the wall. She listened to our requests and took care studying the photo I showed of our ideal outcome. Hypoallergenic shampoo came as no surprise or issue. One hour and a half later we regained a puppy! We thoroughly recommend this dog spa. We'll all be happy to return when in town. A great relief because as our girl ages she becomes less keen on the whole beautifying procedure! I feel that Kinu will always be kind, gentle and take good care of her.

I had TWO disastrous experiences with Darma Dog. The first time they groomed my dog, he had FIVE…read morenicks in his skin FIVE!!! He was extremely upset when I picked him up. Due to serious illness, I was slow to reach out and complain. They offered me a second grooming at 50% off. It was a TERRIBLE DISASTER!! They shaved my dog completely including his tail ( a POODLE!) He looked like a rat with all his hair shaved off his body and especially his entire tail!! That was brutal! His face was very carelessly trimmed. My niece, who is a nurse, used her scissors to clean up his very messy face. Both times I had him groomed there, he came out upset and traumatized. Far more serious was the fact that he could NOT walk properly for nearly a week and he absolutely could not run. ( he is a two year old poodle who runs like the wind every day) . Had I not been so ill myself, I would have dealt with this at the time. My poor dog could not WALK!! He'd take a could of steps then sit. He kept turning his head towards his bum. Goodness knows WHAT they did to him! He was clearly in some pain and it was awful to see him trying to walk. So, the other two places I had him groomed were fine. Darma Dog is a place I would NEVER set foot in again. Recently, I talked with a woman at Trout Lake. Her dog had been groomed at Darma Dog. He also could hardly walk afterwards but she determined that his nails had been cut way too short causing pain when he walked. I loved the name Darma Dog. They were warm and friendly but my dog got really HARMED TWICE!
