Any who, not only did Dharma dogs respond to me so quickly, their quote was the same online and for what I paid for. I brought in my 7month old dog and my dog is crazy, she is super active, very friendly and wants to meet everyone. It was her first haircut and she had so much matting I wasn't sure how she was going to react to grooming. But this grooming place really took care of Stella. She was perfectly cut, behaved, with no problems. Had all the matting cut in less than 2 hours. They work fast!! They had about 2-3 other dogs and had my dog perfectly cut in half the time at another groomers. Also a big part of why I like this place is because of the staff. I had TWO disastrous experiences with Darma Dog. The first time they groomed my dog, he had FIVE…read morenicks in his skin FIVE!!! He was extremely upset when I picked him up. Due to serious illness, I was slow to reach out and complain. They offered me a second grooming at 50% off. It was a TERRIBLE DISASTER!! They shaved my dog completely including his tail ( a POODLE!) He looked like a rat with all his hair shaved off his body and especially his entire tail!! That was brutal! His face was very carelessly trimmed. My niece, who is a nurse, used her scissors to clean up his very messy face. Both times I had him groomed there, he came out upset and traumatized. Far more serious was the fact that he could NOT walk properly for nearly a week and he absolutely could not run. ( he is a two year old poodle who runs like the wind every day) . Had I not been so ill myself, I would have dealt with this at the time. My poor dog could not WALK!! He'd take a could of steps then sit. He kept turning his head towards his bum. Goodness knows WHAT they did to him! He was clearly in some pain and it was awful to see him trying to walk. So, the other two places I had him groomed were fine. Darma Dog is a place I would NEVER set foot in again. Recently, I talked with a woman at Trout Lake. Her dog had been groomed at Darma Dog. He also could hardly walk afterwards but she determined that his nails had been cut way too short causing pain when he walked. I loved the name Darma Dog. They were warm and friendly but my dog got really HARMED TWICE!

Not one of those fast turnover outfits where there are cages for dogs and meet up pet areas (which Olive no longer enjoys). It was one on one attention. Olive happily entered and left equally happily, with a spring in her step. Kinu is a sweetheart. She has two elderly chihuahua-type dogs herself. Loved seeing the photos of them on the wall. She listened to our requests and took care studying the photo I showed of our ideal outcome. Hypoallergenic shampoo came as no surprise or issue. One hour and a half later we regained a puppy! We thoroughly recommend this dog spa. We'll all be happy to return when in town. A great relief because as our girl ages she becomes less keen on the whole beautifying procedure! I feel that Kinu will always be kind, gentle and take good care of her.

If your dog's fur needs to be trimmed, they have a bunch of pictures on the wall of various breeds of dogs with various cuts as a handy reference. The dog came back looking and smelling good. The haircut was exactly what we'd asked for and my grandmother was very happy with the result. I will definitely be taking the dog back for her next haircut.

Due to COVID 19 they do have reduced hours, but are open. We've taken Thunder here and our previous dog as well and have been happy with their services. The people are friendly, they remember you when you call for an appointment and Thunder comes home not stressed which is super important. Thunder is a Yorkie Poo and as you can see in the photo he got a massive cut along with nails trimmed, ears..etc. The cut is well done..unfortunately, there was matting in his hair so buzz it had to be. Very even and clean so super happy even though he's half the size now that most of his fur is gone. Lol. The nails were cut properly and the ears were cleaned nicely.
