I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY CUT OFF my poodles tail!!! I cried for HOURS!! The directions I gave were to wash, dry and clean up his FACE!!! They chose to cut off his tail because they said it was matted. THEY DID NOT ASK MY PERMISSION TO CUT IT! Not only did I pay for the wash and dry service and said do not give him a cut but I would have taken the time to unmat his tail had I known or been given the OPTION!! This location is super clean and the employees were super friendly. From the gal who helped me pick out a healthy canned food for our now toothless dog, to the young man in checkout. They have a great selection of everything here. There is a adoption center that has a couple cats here at this time. The grooming center is a a popular Hotspot. I took my dog here twice and I'll never take him here again. They were unkind and impatient with him :( My dog is an even tempered and a senior. He can be energetic, shy and playful but he doesn't misbehave. They told me he was acting up and then revealed they took 3 people to hold down a 12 lb dog. :/ !!! OF COURSE HE'D BE SCARED AND CONFUSED???? You're in a strange place being pushed to your limits and people are grabbing and forcibly restraining you ? Ofc he's going to be scared. They gave him a horrible haircut as well :/ they should've just told me they were uneducated and unable to service my dog and I could've saved him the time and trauma. And on top of that they nicked his stomach so he now has a scab. After trying to convince me it was my dog and not their overworked and undereducated staff I took him to a REAL groomer. And magically, he was a good and well behaved dog! He is not new to groomers. But he is new to people treating him cruelly which is what the staff did to him at PetSmart unfortunately. His nails were not even cut correctly!!! Like really?? I do a better job trimming him with scissors. I'm more so just sad and disappointed I allowed him to go to an establishment where rushing and mistreating dogs is the status quo. I understand y'all got a time frame and need a certain quota to fill but the dogs also have feelings too :/ if you care about your dog just take them to a real groomer. I took my dog to get groomed and watched through the window as the groomer was rough with my dog. A few weeks later I decided to give a different groomer a chance. When I picked up my dog he wasn't brushed or even dry or any of the services I had paid for. I will not be taking my dog back for grooming services. That's the only part of the store I would leave a negative review for. read more

First things first if I could give 0 stars i would. It seems as if the stylist had never picked up a pair of scissors in her life. Your kindergarten teacher would be very disappointed. My dog went in looking like Chewbacca and came out looking like she had just gone through chemo. They put clippers up to her head giving her a buzz cut with a side bang. Like why don't y'all go flip patties across the street because this obviously isn't for you. She looks like she just went to Sports Clips on a Thursday night. She looks deep fried. There was a reference picture but it seems as if it went right over their heads. The haircut is extremely uneven and my demented grandpa could've done a better job. As a pet store, this place has always been great about helping you find items you need help with. My dog had gotten to where he just would not eat his dry food I had been feeding him for two years, so I went in search of something else. One of the girls took me to a brand I never would have considered myself. Turned out he loved it! I had signed him (my little guy) up for beginners training, and even paid for the class. However, life happened and a year later they were still going to honor my contract. But, living alone and trying to take care of the house, car, him and friends who always come to me when their lives get crazy, well....I'll be taking him for training very soon! I'll pay again because he NEEDS it. I have to bring up grooming. I took our Sheltie there once, and never again! When I picked her up and brought her home, she acted like she had been drugged! When I finally found a groomer who realized she had very tender skin, and needed a little more time and hugs, she almost loved her grooming visits. And her groomer told me that most likely what happened to her at PetSmart, is the person who did her groom was too rough, and most likely ripped hair from her body. She was traumatized when it was over. I won't say never take your pet to be groomed there, but I would caution you to insist on staying and observing the first time. If you got a good groomer, specify that person every time! read more

I have been taking my Cane Corso to petsmart in Buckeye for pet training and unfortunately on 04/10/ 21 I had an uncomfortable experience After training Kaitlin the trainer had told me that usually the pet parents get a coupon but they hadn't gotten them in yet so she said I could go ahead and get a petsmart brand of dog food up to $54 value. she went to tell Jen the cashier and Jen would not listen to her and was trying to argue with her that it is only an 8 pound bag So Jen Called the manager Rick To come up in the meantime Kaitlin went out and got an expired coupon to show Jen that it was up to an 8 pound pro bag or the Petsmart regular brands up to $54 value Jen and the manager Rick would not listen to her And said it was only up to an 8 pound bag Caitlin turn the coupon over and Showed them that it was an 8 pound pro food and a $54 value for the other petsmart food. Rick got an attitude and said JUST DO IT and stormed off!! I don't think that is good customer service especially when the customer is standing right there. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING! The grooming salon was absolutely filthy and dogs could be heard crying in the back cages. Fur lay all over the floor and no one seemed to care enough to sweep it up. My gut instinct said cancel grooming appointments and just do their nails. A groomer took my puppy to the cages in back. I asked why she went in back and she related "oh she's new and doesn't know they stay out in front to get nails done". I asked how long the groomer has been a groomer and she relied "1 month". The lead groomer also said the store is out in the boonies and can't get anyone with experience" she will also tell you " they have to learn somewhere". The lead groomer ended up being the one to cut my 9 month old puppies nails to short down to the quick :( and cause bleeding. She also kept leash tight and attached to grooming table where my puppy was gasping for air and I had to interrupt her and say "We are done here!" Never take your pets here for grooming read more

I take my girl Daisy to get a hair cut there she is groomed by Maria who does a wonderful job. Daisy always gets excited every time she knows she is going there. We took our two new adopted rescue babies into PetSmart in Buckeye az. First, let me say that everyone is really nice and accommodating to deal with. We had Mariah as a trainer for private lessons and she was amazing. Everything we did in the lessons we have used in real life. We will be back to do more obedience work with her. read more

I love PetSmart we've always bought our Bull Terriers food here. We like that they have a variety of food I especially like the all natural selections that they offer. The staff is always very friendly. They always help me out with questions about the different types of food and training for our hyper bull terrier. read more

I wish I could give the grooming salon zero stars because the service was horrible! I had nothing but issues with my dog's latest grooming appointment. When I called to schedule the appointment, I confirmed the date/time with the Petsmart employee but when I arrived for the appointment today, I was told my appointment was for the following day. But they were able to reschedule me for a later time today. That was fine with me since I only live a few minutes away from the store. Then I dropped off my dog at 4pm, and I was told she would be ready at 9pm, and someone from grooming would call me when she was done. (I do not understand why it would take 5 hours to groom my daschund.) So at 8:45pm, I went to the store since I still did not receive a call from the grooming department. Upon my arrival, they informed me that they gave my dog to my daughter, and that she already paid for the service. First, they had no right to give my dog to my daughter since I dropped the dog off, and I was to be notified when she was ready, not anyone else. Also, I had a coupon for $10.00 off any service over $30.00 which I was not unable to use, thus costing me more than I expected to have my dog groomed. All because no one from grooming called me to let me know she was ready. When I showed up at the store, the groomer did say that my dog did try to bite/nip her this evening, which is very unusual. My dog has been groomed at this location 2 other times, and both of those times I was told by other groomers that she was great, and my dog did not attempt to bite or nip at the groomers she previously saw. Upon arriving at home with our dog, I noticed that my dog has welts and marks all over her chest, stomach, and legs. Never in the past 2 times that this dog has been groomed or any of my other dogs that were groomed here in the past come back with marks/welts on them. (My dogs previously saw Ricki in the grooming department, and she was fantastic. But she no longer works there.) I am very angry and upset over the treatment my dog received and how unprofessional the groomer and assistant were. I will never, ever take my dogs back to the grooming department at this store again. Since the store was already closed when I noticed the marks on my dog, I have already gone to the Petsmart website requesting a regional manager call me back to discuss what happened. I also did take pictures of my dog to show the district manager the marks that were on my dog after she left their grooming department. I think the store itself is great, and it is always a great experience, but the grooming department is a completely different story. I cannot recommend the grooming department at this store. read more

I've always been pleased with the customer service at this location. Once I got a defective bag of dog food and brought it back and they excepted it with an exchange no problem. Bought a tank and went home to find out that the one I bought was actually a display tank so I went back to Petsmart and as always they found a solution. There store is very clean. Their actual people skills for their sales associates could use some improvement but over all a great experience... I'd rather go to petsmart then petco because of the luck and treatment I've received from this location. read more

This is definitely my dog Gigi's best grooming ever! She is 12 years old and has a small breast cancer near her breast. I advised Misty to be extra careful. Misty assured me she will be in good hands, and not to worry. Gigi hadn't had a good haircut in a few months, and Misty advised me she would do her best at not chopping or shaving all of her hair. Since she is a multi-poo it is sort of hard after she has knotted up. I received a call saying my baby was ready. I got there and hardly could notice her, cause she was so cute and happy. Misty gave her a perfect haircut with a nice style near her tail and head area SO CUTE, a wash, toe clip, she even put a little pink scarf around her neck. Gigi was so happy! She even came home acting uppity lol. I will have to say this is the best I've ever seen Gigi look. This made me so happy knowing my dog is sick and may have to have surgery that she left the groomers so happy and confident. I did advise the store manager Mary that Misty done such an amazing job as well. She showed she cared it made both me and my dog Gigi excited! We will be coming to Misty again!
