They recently started up a low cost veterinary clinic that is actually ran by the owner, Ryan and I'm honestly surprised it doesn't have more popularity.

We have a small (20 lb) American Cocker Spaniel rescue. We learned that Petz Place was recently purchased by a Veterinarian and is under new management. First impressions: The store front is a well stocked pet supply store, very clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I scheduled a grooming appointment for my dog. She received a wonderful haircut, nails were clipped and ears were cleaned. Instead of the usual 5-6 hour timeframe , she was ready to be picked up in less then two hours (meaning not being held in a crate while they service several dogs in a assembly line style). She was calm and happy when I picked her up. We were so pleased that I have scheduled here next appointment. I highly recommend Petz Place for grooming and pet needs.

I told them my dog does not like the noise from the blow dryer so she needs to be towel dried and she does not like being kenneled. the receptionist looked totally confused and said she needs to check with someone in the back. A lady came out with pink head phones and did not give her name. she told me that she did not know what I was there for! I again explained I want a bath, brush towel dry and I would wait in the front office so they didn't have to kennel my dog! she said she didn't understand what I wanted? at this point I decided that for my dogs saftey I would not leave my baby with this person who seemed to be very irritated at me for asking for a small accommodations so my dog would have a good experience . Her tail is totally raw underneath (even before scooting) and she is in pain; acting like a totally different dog...it is absolutely heart breaking. She came home and the next day had kennel cough even though she has been vaccinated. She also has a cut on her leg from this visit and I am extremely upset and disappointed. $89 for this and now probably a $1000 vet visit too. Do better.

Jo'Ann is amazing. Our vet commented that our chihuahua mix needed more frequent nail trims so we…read morehired Jo'Ann. After a month of weekly visits, she told us that weekly trims weren't necessary and to try every other week. What groomer turns down income for the best of her clients! That's impressive! As time went on, we started worrying that our pup was having a bad experience so we went back to vet trims while we looked at other groomers. But it's so expensive and such a hassle! After much deliberation we called Jo'Ann back and scheduled. Today, she came over and hadn't started her generator, so my little K'Ehleyr got her eyes on Jo'Ann and started running to her! Once the generator was started, K'Ehleyr wanted to go home. When I handed her over to Jo'Ann, she buried her head in Jo'Ann's shoulder. She only does that to people who make her feel safe. What's more is that, even though she had to have an ingrown nail removed (which hurt!), she had a dog smile when she came back. I guess that she picked her groomer!! Thanks for all you do Jo'Ann!!!

Now that I've been using DHDC for several months, I think I can give a complete review of their…read moreservices. They're pretty reliable. They let you know when they're going to be late. They also give you a chance to confirm future appointments by texting you a couple of days prior. They're also pretty responsive when you text them with questions. They're very good at deshedding my rottie (he sheds like crazy!). I had Andrew as a groomer for the first three or four times. Then I got Alaina. And the last groomer I had was Jo'Ann. Andrew was very thorough and detailed, but unfortunately he no longer works there. He even checked and expressed Duke's anal glands. Every appointment with Andrew was awesome!! Then Alaina, she either didn't cut/Dremelled Duke's nails at all or did very little. And afterwards, Duke got very sick: he became very lethargic, had poor appetite, had dry bumps all over his body, and his coat was falling out by the chunks. He needed to be taken to the vet and put on antibiotics and pain medication because he had such a horrible reaction to something (either cologne or maybe poorly sanitized equipment). It took about two weeks for him to feel better, but his coat was still falling out and he had dandruff all over (normally his coat is very shiny without dandruff). Our third groomer was Jo'Ann. This time I made sure that Duke was only bathed with their oatmeal shampoo and no cologne sprayed on him. Seems like she Dremelled his nails down. I asked her if she checked his anal glands because he has been licking back there a little too much and she told me that dogs get their anal glands expressed automatically while they defecate (yes, I know), but she didn't even check until I asked her. I wish all the groomers worked the same way. Again, Andrew was the most detail-oriented one and I wish he was still working there. I will keep using their service. However, I am somewhat hesitant to recommend them.

Our dogs get very excited when they arrive at the door. Exceptional service and she is so good with our babies. Always gives us pointer or things we should be doing or looking out for. Very knowledgeable. We are always happy with the service. We get compliments all the time.

Most groomers do not want to risk grooming a dog who could possibly have a seizure at any moment, but not Lovet. They accept pets with medical conditions and our staffed to handle medical issues should one happen. Our groomer is Ashely. She is amazing and gives Nascar-Nascie tons of love and compassion.

About a year ago, my dog tore her ACL (I believe it's called a CCL in dogs). We were referred to the Glendale location for surgery. While preparing for the procedure, they mentioned she was coming up on her rabies vaccine. She had always been on the 3-year rabies schedule and was around 8 years old at the time. They offered to administer the vaccine during surgery, and given that my focus was on getting her through the operation, I agreed without hesitation. Fast forward to now, I received an email stating her rabies vaccine was due. That didn't make sense since she has consistently been on the 3-year vaccine. When I stopped by to pick up Zoee's medication, the front desk staff acknowledged it appeared to be the same dosage and said they would message the vet to see if the record could simply be corrected to reflect the 3-year vaccine. Less than an hour later, a vet tech called and told me Zoee would need to come in for another rabies shot regardless. I explained the situation, but was told it didn't matter. After going back and forth, I said I would bring her in, but I did not feel I should have to pay an exam fee for what appears to be a documentation error on their end. I even asked for a veterinarian to call me directly to discuss it, but no one ever did. It's disappointing after being a customer for over a decade to feel like concerns are dismissed and that the focus is more on fees than accountability or communication. Based on my recent experiences, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options before bringing their pets here.
