Our sweetest 13 year old mix, Nemmie, took a sharp turn for the worse after a brief battle with splenic cancer. I reached out to AARP on a Friday in hopes of scheduling them over the weekend. I was able to schedule online, and Shelley reached out the following morning to confirm the appointment and provide resources and instructions. Unfortunately, Nemmie's condition rapidly declined and it was clear that she would not make it to the original appointment. I reached out the Shelley, who was able to reschedule our appointment to that same day to make sure our sweet girl could be put to rest with dignity and little to no suffering. Dr. Falcone was the vet assigned to us. She called me roughly 30 minutes prior to the appointment time, letting me know that she was in the area and could arrive before the 12pm appointment. However, she also let us know that it was completely okay if we wanted her to wait until the original appointment time so we could spend an extra few minutes with our girl. She arrived promptly at the appointment time, and was nothing short of an angel for our girl (and for us) throughout the entire experience. I can imagine that having her job would not be an easy one. However, she handled our situation with such grace, empathy, and kindness. Before the procedure started, she took the time to walk us through each step of the process. She also made sure to be as gentle as possible, while getting Nemmie as comfortable as possible before everything started. We also have another dog in the house, who was very curious about what was going on. Dr. Falcone was so sweet to him as well, and let him sniff her, give licks, and be all up in her business prior to the procedure starting. She also did not rush us at any point in the slightest, and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Once the procedure had finished and Nemmie was no longer with us, again, Dr. Falcone let us have as much time as wanted to say our final goodbyes. She also allowed me the privilege of lifting my girl onto the stretcher, covering her with a blanket, and helping carry her out of our house and to Dr. Falcone's car for transportation to the crematorium. One small little touch that I'll forever remember. She was also very clear that there are two options for having your dog's ashes returned to you: either having them shipped to the vet, or shipped directly to your home. AARP's services, quality of care, and empathy for their clients & their pets are truly second to none. The opportunity to have been able to put our girl to rest in the comfort of her lifelong home while surrounded by love and comfort, is truly something that you can't put a price on. When your inevitable duty as a pet parent to see your pet off to the Rainbow Bridge comes, I can't recommend using All About Restful Pets enough. They truly are the best at what they do, and make the worst day of your life just a little bit better.

With Belinda's help We taught our Siberian husky to sit,stay, climb, ext and she would sit even when I had the door open. Unfortunately for our lifestyle we were not able to keep our Siberian husky because she is too active and we are very busy with work and outside responsibilities and couldn't give our Siberian husky the type of a lifestyle that she needed... so with the heavy heart we had given her back to the rescue shelter Fortunately for our Siberian husky we had fostered her back to health taught her quite a bit of obedience through the help of Belinda. My oldest boy was a rescue who came to us extraordinarily scared and timid. It took me a good 6 mos to get him to trust me, and now he's my little shadow. He remains timid and very shy, and I fear a shock collar would make him revert back to where he was when we got him. My younger dog is also a rescue but he's just a little guy and when I felt the "shock" of the collar even at a very low number I knew I couldn't put one on him. Enter Belinda! Positive and explains dog psyche. Gives advice on adding a new command onto a learned one. She spent some time getting to know my boys and they loved her. I just wish she were in Arizona year round, as I lost several months training time with her due to a knee surgery.

They were able to get her stable in the back and allowed me to see her before I left that day. I was able to comeback at least two times a day to see her and they walked me through every step for when she went home and what the best treatment plans were. I work in veterinary medicine myself, and this was another level of compassion and care. They were able to save her life that day and she has been the happiest pup ever since. He was not doing well so I brought him to VetMed with the thought that he'd get meds and we'd go home. That didn't happen....after their exam it was found that fluid was in his lungs and treatment wasn't a situation he would do well with. My baby was a senior cat and when I asked the vet what she would do her eyes filled up and she said it was time. I wasn't ready but the vet and techs made me and my boy as comfortable as possible, gave me time to be with him and let me tell them when to start the process. The outside room was slammed (2 rattlesnake bites!) but they didn't rush us and when he crossed over the compassion and caring was evident. They didn't know us and they didn't know what he meant to me but they attempted to make the situation as painless as they could. I appreciated the honesty and kindness that night
