Took my golden retriever to be groomed here (Midtown - Ponce de Leon). Groomer - Victoria. Discussed with groomer that we wanted him to get "trimmed down" throughout his coat to debulk. Demonstrated how much we wanted removed on his coat. Felt very misguided by the recommendations she gave. He was essentially shaved to his skin when I picked him up. Will not be doing business there again. read more

The young woman with the dark hair who works in the aquatics department gave us AMAZING customer service! Give this girl a raise! I went in a few times in the past month and every time she answered my questions with well-informed answers and experience -- great experience :) definitely made a big impact on our Betta fish and supplies purchase. read more

Sueanne the manager helped my wife and I prepare for our new puppy. She expertly picked out the necessary tools, play toys, and treats that our dog now loves. The staff is great and friendly, I would recommend this store to anyone! read more

3-18-19 i took my niece's dog in for a cut. I wasn't expecting the pup to have a schnauzer cut cause my niece hasn't been brushing her dog, But i got back a dog and her cut wasn't even the ears and sanitary areas weren't cut and tail was partially cut. She looked rough going in and just as bad when i picked her up read more

I took my 9 year old Golden Retriever, Maya, to this PetSmart for grooming. Chris did the BEST job of anyone who has ever groomed her! He was very thorough and did only what I wanted. She looked BEAUTIFUL...so beautiful I don't want to let her go outside! I will definitely use Chris again! read more

Awful store. Awful workers. All of their dog cages were in the wrong spots. So when I went up to the register, they tried to charge me $30 more than what it said on the price tag. Then they told me they would sell me the dented cage with a door that didn't shut for $80. Super unprofessional and terrible customer service. I live walking distance from this store and if I ever need to go to a PetSmart again, I'll drive 30 min outside this city before I come back to this one and deal with their employees. read more

This is a two part review. Part 1: Banfield Vets, located inside petsmart. They are so nice and helpful to me and my dog, and are always willing to take calls when I have inane questions about my puppy's health. They are so patient with me and always answer my questions to the best of their abilities. Furthermore, they provide excellent care to my puppy and always seem happy to see us. I give this part of petsmart 5 stars. Part 2: The grooming salon. I took my pup, Baxter (a mini schnauzer) to be groomed for the first time earlier this week. When I picked him up from the breeder, he had what was described to me as a traditional schnauzer puppy cut. When asked what I wanted at the groomer, this is what I told them. I nearly burst into tears when I saw my little buddy after he had been at the groomer all afternoon. They had cut off his "old man" eyebrows, and had cut the hair around his feet but nothing else. I was so upset! After speaking to the person that had actually done the grooming, I was informed that what they had done to Baxter was considered a "puppy cut." I had not been informed of this, and had unknowingly let them wreak havoc on my pup's cut. After speaking with the manager and having my money refunded, I took Baxter home. I later noticed that he was scratching at his ears much more often than normal. Upon inspection, I noticed little cuts and scratches just inside the ear, around where they had trimmed the hair. There was also dried blood crusted in his ear and hair. I will never be taking Baxter back to the grooming salon at this petsmart, and will be finding another groomer. I give this part of petsmart 1 star. read more

I've used the groomers here several times-the first time because I needed an appointment ASAP and they great availability, but every time after is because of the great service we receive. The price is right and the groomers are always so sweet to my pup and do a great job. Veronica and Rocky are great! read more

I'm so distraught. I brought in my doggie for a haircut and Nicholas cut her chest will grooming to the point they had to take her to the Banfield Vet. Now the vet has to put her to sleep and give her stitches today. Now my doggie has half a haircut, can't get a bath until the stitches are removed in a week or two. Not to mention we were going out of town for the holidays. My doggie will be traumatized about going to the groomers for a while for this. :( Please PetSmart make sure your groomers are more careful and trained. read more

They always take good care of my baby Michael my groomer Evvieve h is very sweet thank you for taking care of my baby

Service Visit 08/16/14 8:30am: I will never patronize this location again! The customer service in grooming is horrific. The only saving grace on my visit this morning was the grooming salon Manager Rhonda. Her underlings, not so much. I was not greeted and was treated as if I was bothering the grooming associate Mecka. She had a bad attitude from the time I came in for service until I finished, however when another customer came into the salon she was all smiles. I felt discriminated against and I plan to contact their corporate office on Monday to lodge a formal complaint. This is my second visit here to grooming where the service was lackluster. I could go on about my visit but don't waste your time or money in grooming at this location. Spend your money with a groomer that appreciates your business. read more

This was my first time visiting a petsmart in Atlanta because I am here for a graduation and don't have a dog. However, for a graduation present our family got my niece a puppy. Upon arrival was greeted by cashier's and even some staff from the grooming department very lovely people. I needed help looking for items for the new addition and cashier paged Erica who would then assist me, I waited over 15 minutes for her to come to the front. I then began to ask her about training classes, what food she recommends, and grooming. She did not seem as if she knew much about the products in the store let alone the confidence to recommend anything to a new pet parent or new customer. I decided to look for items myself since she had no idea where anything was. When I called my sister to tell her how it went picking up stuff for the new puppy a man in front of me in line said he had a similar experience with her not moments before when he asked her about clipper blades for his clippers. He said he went up to her with the specifics that he needed she sold him the over priced blades and they were wrong even after she guaranteed they were right. Everyone in the store that I met was great and very friendly but Erica needs to brush up on her products and learn how to help customers with not only correct products but with questions as well. She seems as if it is a drag to help costumers and does not want to be there. read more

My fiancé made a online order for a few things for our puppy. She listed my name for pick up. No problem I thought...entered store, advised my name and items I was there to pick up. My name wouldn't show for some reason(even though my name is in the "ready for pick up" email confirmation) but I'm thinking ok. *Side note my fiancé is pregnant and I wouldn't have her go there or have to get out the car in the rain to go inside. Smh. So the person helping me had to call for assistance, the manager comes, they didn't see the order, then another manager comes to assist. I show order number and advised my name, then stated to her I was there to pick up a couple items and let her know what to look for. She then said to me "I just picked out that order" which I would assume that she knew what the order was at that point. No. I asked if she could look it up with the ORDER NUMBER? She said no we look it up by name. I repeated my question, "can you look up my order which would be, xyz?(the items) she said "what we look for is the name" as she showed me MY name on their iPad smh. To whomever sees this, I'm not saying not to shop there or anything of the sort, just I felt it was a hassle for something so simple. I felt I got the run around & It was a simple order nothing out of the ordinary. I'll just order somewhere else and have it delivered, from somewhere else. read more

Groomer with the long dreads was so unprofessional from the moment i walked in. Complaining that my dog was booked for the latest time. I don't usually bring my dog there so he made comments about how difficult it would be do get my dog acclimated to the grooming salon. He called me an hour and a half later and told me my dog was ready. When i picked my dog up he continued on in front of other customers about "you waited until your dog was 11 get him used to grooming" which isn't true because he goes to a mobile groomer and he's groomed at home. On top of that his face looked like it did when i dropped him off. Biggest waste of $60. I will drive 15 miles further to avoid getting that type of service again. Really unfortunate because i love the Banfield at that location. read more

So disappointed. I've shopped at Pet Smart for years! If I had to guesstimate the amount of money that I spend, I would say $200/month on average. Needless to say, when you spend your hard earned money somewhere, you expect to receive better service that what I received today. I called ahead to make an appointment to get my dog's nails trimmed. When I arrived, they asked for her updated vaccinations. I told them that I didn't have the paperwork, and I wish they would've said something when I called. I went home to get the proper documentation. When I arrived the second time, I stood in the Grooming Salon for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Finally someone said, "Your groomer will be out momentarily." When the groomer reviewed the documents, she said that she couldn't see the Rabies vaccination, and asked if I could talk to Banfield. When I walked up to the counter, the lackluster receptionist interrupted her phone conversation to ask, "Did you have an appointment?" How about, "Hello!, How are you?, How can I help you? I'll be with you in a moment?" Instead, I get attitude. I explained my situation, and she was rude and short with me. At this point, I was over it. I drove to Pet Smart twice and got nothing accomplished. I simply wanted to get my dogs nails trimmed! The only good thing that came out of this situation is that I found a great new Grooming Salon for Sasha! It's close to my home, it's cheaper than Pet Smart, and they focus on specialized care for your pets, which is something that you cannot get from a Pet Smart or Pet Co. Unfortunately, Pet Smart just lost a long-time customer today. I will be taking my money elsewhere! read more

I had the WORST experience here at this location. I booked an appointment for 2 of my family members. I arrived on time and the groomer who I had the appointment with was the store opener...her name is Wymecka J.She was rude to start off with as she didn't greet us as a normal customer service employee would, she casually walked passed and went behind the desk. When she finally sat down, we began the consultation. I told her what I would like for the 1st dog to look like. Her response,"You can't get that. His hair isn't that type." Ok, I asked her what she would recommend. She says, "I'll figure something out." She says it will simply be a shaved outline of what he already has. I totally understand that dogs have different texture of hair and sometime the look you can always expect to accomplish but it was her condescending,non-chalet attitude that made the experience even worse. I should have known better and not even put my little ones through such torture when she walked in looking all disheveled as she had been up all night. The line of questioning such as when were they last seen(not by her of course), where/when were they last cut(I told her 3 times as she asked 3 different times) as if that was relevant to her performing the job requested TODAY. Once we got done with the consultation she then starts tallying up the cost...After I signed the paperwork she turns and walks away and it took for the other groomer who obviously noticed the attitude she was giving chimes in and says,"Sir, as soon as she's done taking caring of your pets she'll give you call." As I started walking back towards my car, my gut feeling told me to go back and there and get your little ones before you catch a case or an altercation ensues if I had come back to pick them up and there was ANY signs of mistreatment. I will not EVER book her again and I will be contacting management. She should NOT be working with extended family members. read more

I attended the Beginner puppy class with my 5 month old dog. David the trainer was excellent. His skills as a trainer are immediately apparent! He really understood how to empower and encourage the human and canine students in the class. I am excited to continue working with my dog and would recommend this class to anyone looking to improve their pet's behavior. read more

We live the groomers here, they take great care of our dogs and have great customer service.

I brought my dog, a havanese, in for grooming. Unfortunately, he had a lot of knots and they had to shave him in parts. They warned me that that might be the case. They actually did a good job of blending in the shaved parts with the longer hair. The only problem that I had with the experience was that they told me it would take 3 hours and I didn't hear from them until 5 hours later which meant I had to change around my schedule. Overall, my pup was happy when I got him and I would recommend this groomer. read more

I brought my new young rescue dog with me so I could fit her for a harness. I used to go to a Petsmart in Roswell when I lived there a few years ago. My new pup was frightened by the automatic doors and apparently dropped a pellet of poop at the front as she was cowering. I was about 20 feet into the store, trying to comfort and cajole her, when one of the women salon people yelled after us that 'your dog is pooping everywhere', which turned out to be the one piece at the front that I hadn't seen happen or I would've cleaned up. I'm the kind of person that picks up other people's trash and does the dish in the sink at work, so I'm not that pet owner. It took her about 5 seconds to swipe up the piece as she yelled and glared. I'm stunned that this person deals with animals, or people for that matter. I was in need of everything for my new dog so we left and went to Petco, where we were treated kindly. One of the associates there was very gentle and understanding helping me fit her for a harness and I spent lots of my hard earned money there. When there are plenty of good alternatives I can see no reason to shop here. read more

The store itself is very nice. I got my Blu (husky) groomed there and it was by far the worse experience ever. They had her for 4 hours and when I picked her up her fur was dull looking and dry. She had dandruff flakes (1st time ever). Go to the one on Lavista Rd. Everything about that location is amazing. read more

I don't even know where to start. If I could give 0 stars I would. First things first, DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE TO BE GROOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We a have cocker spaniel and he is a year and a half old. He had his first groom at a pet smart in Loganville, and they said he was great for his first time and came home happy and looked great. I figured they would all do a similar job so I booked him in for a groom at the Midtown location. What followed was despicable. Upon picking him up, he seemed down and not himself. We then noticed that he had what the vet later referred to as "scalding" in his genital area. The manager refunded the groom and assured us we would have a completely different experience if we gave them another chance and he was very apologetic. Today we took him for his next groom, nervous but hoping they would stick to their word. We had to be there at 8am, which is not ideal on a Saturday but that was the only time they had available. On arrival, LJ said that he would be ready to be picked up at 4. At 12, I received a call from LJ saying our dog was refusing the dryer and they were not able to groom him today because his 'shift finished at 3:30pm." Also, LJ said "it's not us, it's the dogs problem." When they clearly know that the reason he is so scared and acting up is because of his terrible previous experience. I called the store manager and explained the situation for her to say that he would be done today and to come at 4 - she would sort it. 3pm comes round and I get another call saying Ned is acting up still and they are not able to groom him today. We went to pick him up and the store manager and LJ (he was actually quite rude) were extremely unhelpful and didn't seem to understand our frustration. Completely messed around by this store, will never come here again and would encourage any dog owner to seriously think before booking their dog in for a groom here - it has caused ours to be extremely fearful of grooming! read more
