I'd give this store 0 stars if I could. I booked a appointment for curbside salon. They told me to go inside, so I didn't mind and I went inside. Once I got in there I rang the bell for scheduled appointments. A employee named Shareice or Mira came out and told me with much attitude in her tone " you can't come in. Wait in the waiting area until we're done assisting the family." So I patiently waited until the family left. I rang the bell again. The employee at the desk looked at me then went back to what she was doing. So I went back to waiting think they'd call me when they were ready. 35 mins pass by of me sitting in the waiting area with my toddler and puppy. At this point I went to the manager who didn't help because I still ended up waiting an other 15 mins. Once I picked up my puppy. I rang the bell so I could be let in just in case they had an other family in there. The same employee Shareice come out and says impolitely " you can just cone in you know " while rolling her eyes. This will be the first and last time I ever take my puppy to their grooming services. read more

My fur babys have been going to the pet smart grooming in Apple valley for as long as this location was opened. Never had difficulties until now! We get the usual bath and brush for my baby's, I usually use to go with a very nice girl that no longer is available at this location. Last time I went in, there is a newer bather named Leslie who always answers the phone with a very dry and rude tone! When I came in to leave my baby's they booked me with her. This is the second time and as soon as I get in I notice she is sitting down everytime I have dropped my baby's off, she proceeds to checking in my baby's without checking like the other girls do, she runs off to the back with my dogs very rude person! Leslie dogs not make me feel like my pets are safe, she looks and act under the influence of some type of drug or medication. I stay and shop around for a while and notice her in the front sitting down while my pets are no where in sight????..... Time passes I get the call that they are ready and again she sounds like she hates her job and can care less about making me feel that my pets are safe! My dogs came out still wet and had mud all over as if she just sprayed them down with water. The nails were not properly cut. And they smelled awful! My pets looked as they had been traumatized shaking, my pets are very happy and lovable animals! I don't know what she did but this day something changed in my fur baby's! Pet smart should really screen their employees for drugs because this girl is definitely on something. I stayed and watched her sitting for a while while my baby's were no where to be found! Worst experience my baby's had ever suffered. Hours after my pets still seemed frightened and shaking when we got home. I will never have my baby's in that pet smart again. Pet co is our new friends! The girls there seem to have a grasp on what the are doing and at pet co I feel my pets are safe. And they leave happy. Leslie is a very rude and a very unprofessional person. read more

I used to love this place but things really seem to have gone down hill lately. I most disgusted with the amount of waste at this store. They just throw perfectly good products away instead of donating them to rescues or families in need. I feel they care more about protecting their butt than about the customers and the pets. I recommended my friend there to get a lizard and they told her all the wrong stuff on how to care for it and didn't show her the proper merchandise to purchase for it including food! Well of course the lizard died because it couldn't eat the food they gave her. When she went to return it on the 12th day of the guarantee they told her no because you didn't take care of it properly. She told them ya because you told me all the wrong information and they still wouldn't do anything. So she gave up and tried to buy another lizard with the proper food this time and they refused to sell it to her! Telling her that they can't sell her something if she can't prove she has the proper things for it! Well she did have everything she needed because I told her the proper things to get for it. They still refused and it ended up with me going to the Victorville store and buying her a new lizard. This lizard is much happier and doing very well now. I also grilled the employee on how to take care of it and what to buy for it and he knew every little detail and had all the correct answers to my questions. I don't know maybe this store needs to train their employees better or send them back to school or something. That experience was just ridiculous and I never recommend my friends to this store anymore. I tell them to go to Petco! read more

I like this store (over all) I do find many of the workers have no idea how to take care of any animal Its not their fault They have not been trained Most are very nice but they really have no idea what they are talking about They should not be selling SHOCK COLLARS This is for an experienced trainer (I am one BA Animal Behaviorist ) Also they have to get rid of that horrible music that is deafening No One can hear themselves think over it and even one of the employees told me she leaves with a migraine everyday I was trying to get info on how to take care of the frogs I just bought and we were shouting over that horrible music The store is clean and so are the bathrooms and the cages are very clean as well as the fish tanks I would love to see the music GONE but I wrote to corp and they ignored me Nice store Too loud music Expensive read more

I was always happy with Petsmart until recently, I often order online because of the ease of being able to pick up the orders at the store. This process was both quick and easy until a couple of weeks ago. The person that needs the pet supplies is disabled and it was easy for him to pick up from the store. I would order and time after time the order was cancelled. I called customer service and they said it was being cancelled at the store level but could not say why. Customer Service said that my credit info was fine and she could see no reason. Because of orders being placed more than one and being cancelled by the store every time I am now doing business with CHEWY much easier and delivery was in two days. read more

We have taken our dogs to be groomed at several different PetSmarts over the years, but Apple Valley PetSmart is the worst we have ever seen and will NEVER do any business with the grooming department. The rest of the store is fine. We are new to Apple Valley, CA and I needed to have my older dog groomed. I made an evening appointment, and when we got there they didn't have me in the book. None of the staff knew how to use the computer system. And then they found that my name had been crossed out due to the groomer going home early, but I was never called. But what really turned me off was the staff, just a bunch of grumpy old women. One of them was covered in dog hair and her hand was bleeding. Another stated that she hated the little dog she was grooming. Totally unorganized and unprofessional. They need some serious Employee Training. read more

This place is very clean and always had my precious pets special small dog diet and chew toys. The only bad thing is when I asked a worker there, tall lady with brown curly hair where the restroom was she said I couldn't use them cuz they were not working but I went to look for them myself and they were just being cleaned. read more

I booked an appointment with Kristen for bath and cut and while I was waiting to be attended was watching this girl groom a poodle that looked extremely annoyed and bothered. Not one smile or hello. I thought to myself, "I hope that's not Kristen because I really don't want her touching my dog. She does not look like a dog lover and appears to hate her job." Well what do you know, it was Kristen. Luckily I did not have my dogs rabies shots with me as I was told she did not need them until 6 months which she was 5 months. Kristen said I needed rabies certificate at 4 months which I did not argue with her because I really didn't want her to touch my dog anyways. Victorville Petsmart groomed my dog 4 times previously stating they don't need rabies til 6 months and all other shots were up to date. Either way, I will continue to go to Victorville Petsmart for grooming where the employees are friendly and greet my dog in a lovingly. Any place that employs someone with that demeanor most likely does not care much about the treatment of animals or is simply not paying attention. With all the horror stories I'd rather not risk it. read more
