We groomed our first set of Standard Poodles for 14 years - until they stepped off the planet. When we got 2 new pups, we started by trying out 3 groomers. All were good . . . but when we requested a #15 blade for a very close shave, they refused. I think this is because they think the dogs will burn in the sun. We're with the dogs 24/7 and we would not let that happen. The super close shave buys us time. Our Poodles grow hair so fast, it is important to shave close in the summer. We found Tails of the Valley. Dawn agreed to use a #15 blade. The huge bonus was Dawn's excellent detailing. PLUS, our "tough guy" male normally shakes the entire time he's on the table. He eventually relaxed with Dawn! We'll be back!

First thing I love is the place is clean & organized with friendly staff & they know my girl the second she walks threw the door!. They take amazing care of her in climate controlled kennels. They are very detailed on her food & play time ( a little extra but worth it) I can leave her knowing she is in great hands & thats big for me because my Daisy is my life. Thank you Dogs Day Inn for being there when I need to board her! She is always happy to arrive and leaving when I pick her up she is clean no problems at all with her fur. I will only take my Daisy there they are in my opinion the best in high desert.

He isn't just the mayor, he is the founding father. He lives a pretty spoiled life, and getting his nails cut is the most traumatic thing he could ever imagine. He is the ultimate drama king. A Pick Of The Litter does such an awesome job with him, and even though he still gets a little spooked, this is the only place we've been able to take him where he feels comfortable, and a good job is done. This place is horrible, hard to believe there's honest good reviews since everyone I meet complains about how horrible this place is, wouldn't be surprised the good reviews are from friends and family of workers/owner. Before and after pics of my dog who got really sick for months after his appointment and would not let me go near him after his appointment when I picked him up and it took 6 months for him to feel okay with us showing him a brush or any grooming items.
