I restarted in the hobby by buying my fish from this location. but i wish they would have a sale or discount some of the fish i bought. only problem is that since this is a really busy location, whatever good quality fish come in, it's bought up pretty quick. i do buy a lot of my supplies from here, i compare shop b/w amazon, petco, petsmart. bought 75 gallon marineland tank from these guys (looks strong) which will be setting up soon, looking to purchase another one and filters. one thing i have to commend these guys, one fish i bought passed, and they were kind enough to replace it for me or give me store credit. i check into this place weekly, looking for some unique peacocks. only thing i would recommend is that petsmart up it's game from beginner level to more diverse peacocks/haps like petco in allentown. unlike some of the other pet stores, i'm glad they give you 2 weeks replacement/store credit if something happens to your fish. the other pet stores say that petsmart kills 100s of fish per week b/c they get fish, i have not had this problem. read more

I took my short haired breed for a bath, brush and nail clip. My dog came back with a clipped sanitary. My dog looked like the groomer forgot it was a short haired breed and tried to fix it. Clipped pieces off and looked like she missed a huge area. Maybe she's inexperienced but won't be coming back to this grooming salon. I do like the store itself and the groomers themselves are friendly. Just may need some more education. read more

I've been bringing my dogs here for years, and up until last week, every experience has been absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was disappointing. We were assigned to a groomer named Fern, and the experience was far from what we've come to expect. Fern was noticeably rude to me and seemed passive-aggressive toward my dogs. On top of that, the haircuts they received were some of the worst I've ever seen! I could have done a better job myself. While I still recommend this grooming salon overall, I cannot recommend Fern. read more

Tina has been grooming our dog for 3 years. We didn't ask for Tina this time because we needed first available appt. That was mistake because none of the other groomers was able to groom our dog. Groomer didn't even pick up our dog like Tina does. read more

Yesterday I went into petSmart to pick up a few things, the woman working at the counter with the cat ears was completely unprofessional. She was frantic, took a very long time to assist us and seemed to have no idea what was going on. She then complained about her job openly to costumers saying "i hope they don't make me take lunch because sometimes i never want to come back" and also complaining about the job in general. I have worked in retail/food service my whole life and know that this behavior is unacceptable on behalf of the company. read more

This is by far the best PetSmart location I have ever been to. The staff was such a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful bunch. The store was beautifully clean and it was well organized so it was extremely easy to find things. I'm a reptile guy, and that department looked phenomenal. This is a terrible place with zero customer service. I show up 10 minutes before an appointment and was told to walk around the store till the groomer got there. I wonder what they would have said if I showed up 10 minutes late. No one else can help get the dog registered 10 minutes early??? Tried to speak to the store manager. Not only was he rude, he blamed me. It was my fault for being early. DO NOT use them. Too many places who understand service. These people do not. read more

First of all, when I called to make the appointment I was told the groomer would be Brooke because the one I had been going to moved out of state. When I arrived they told me there is NO Brooke that works there. I was 10 minutes early I was told to walk around the store and they'll page me. I have a bad leg so I was not happy about this. When my groomer got there I explained that my dog's "tears" were hardened. She looked at the dog for less then 1 minute and said she had to cancel my appointment, she didn't feel comfortable working on my dog. I had been going there for about 8 months with the same dog and the same issue, they never had a problem. Won't be going there anymore!! read more

We had taken our dog here before and the first time they did a great job. Yesterday we had asked for our dog to still have some "fluff " to her and that her hair still be long enough so she would not be cold outside. We got her back and she looked like she had just gotten a shave down for the summer. She looks like a completely different dog (not in a good way). I could have shaved my dog for free if that was what i wanted. Not worth the crazy amount of money we paid for us to be given the complete opposite of what we asked. Very disappointed. read more

The staff is very nice and the selection is great. But I took my corgi to get groomed and was not happy with the results. I get that he isn't the easiest to handle but I was disappointed that I paid $60 for the service for his ears to still be dirty and for a hair cut that looks like something I could've done at home (it looks very patchy). read more

I have been taking my two poodles here for a number of years now, and Tina is excellent. She is such a kind person, and she is great with the dogs who are now getting up there in age. I really would not go anywhere else. And one of the nicest things is that I can schedule a convenient time to drop off the dogs, and then do shopping for them in the store, or run into Target, Pier One, or Old Navy, all of which are right there. read more

On Tuesday night, I scheduled to take my puppy in for her first grooming session at the Trexlertown location for today. I called on Wednesday afternoon and spoke with an associate in the grooming salon who assured me that as long as my puppy was up to date on shots, she would be seen. I clarified that she was under 4 months and had just received her booster on Tuesday morning and was told that it was just fine. I read online that there was a 48 hour rule for grooming after receiving vaccinations and made sure to book beyond that time. I also had my up to date shot records on hand from the vet. I show up to my appointment today (50 hours after receiving injections) and was refused service because there was a 48-hour rule. Hold on. It has been more than 48 hours, I have all of the paperwork needed, AND I spoke with an associate the day before!!! I was then told repeatedly by Amanda that "Tuesday doesn't count". WHY DOES IT SAY 48 HOURS THEN? I told her it should say 72 hours instead of 48 and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. The girl working with her peeks her head out and says "Oh yes, you spoke with me". So now I have an anxious new puppy who I had to tote 20 minutes in either direction for a service that was not given to me FOR NO REASON. I rescheduled but will be canceling as I find this completely ridiculous and a huge waste of my time. I will not recommend your grooming salon to anyone on the sheer incompetence of the employees and I didn't even get my puppy on the table! read more

I brought my dog here a few times after she was diagnosed with a heart condition but cleared by her cardiologist for grooming. I disclosed all this information to the groomer before bringing her. She was groomed twice over a period of a few months. The day before the third appointment, a woman called and canceled, stating that they could not groom my dog because of her heart condition. I assured her I was aware of all risks and reminded her the cardiologist cleared this. The woman then proceeded to attempt to guilt me, stating my dog could have a heart attack and die while being groomed. I explained I am aware of her condition and came to terms with her terminal illness when she was diagnosed. However, life still goes on and the poor dog needed a haircut in the hot weather. The woman was curt and talked down to me as if I was a band person because my sick dog needs a haircut. I have not shopped there since. read more

I bought TOPFIN aquarium filter on 1/13/2019 at 4:26pm and it stopped working within 3 months. No help from petsmart customer service or store and they said they cannot do anything. Waste of $40, they always sell crappy China goods which will stop working with few months. I have two dogs and I will stop going here. read more

I will not be bringing my dog back!!! I had her there for a bath once before, then at the second appointment they tell me that because she has a pre-existing condition with seizures... Which she is on medication for and has not had one in over 10 years... That they had to charge me more and could not keep her before or after her bath. When I picked her up and explained to them that I would not be bringing her back because I am not paying extra just because she has a pre-existing condition, they gave me very poor customer service! Also if you get your pets nails trimmed, check them before you leave! My dogs nails were very jagged and she had a harder time walking on the trimmed nails done the long ones! We had to take her to the vet to get them re-trimmed. read more

Not happy with their service this time. Went in for a 1:30 appointment and my dog was released at 5:40, more than four hours later. I was given the reason for the delay as she (my dog) was "very sensitive". I used this same phrase when I dropped her off. I told the groomer that she has special needs and has issues with other dogs and is very protective of her body parts. I explained that she was attacked by another dog 2 summers ago and then in a few months later she suffered from kidney failure. She had an extended and painful stay in the hospital. Her tongue was removed as she bit down on it while she was sick. She has had a full physical recovery but still has issues with strangers handling her. So I guess this is all of my fault. Even though I quickly mentioned all of this, they had to give my dogs "breaks" because they were not able to handle her in one sitting. If I had known, I would not have put her (my dog and the groomer) through all of this. They never called me to let me know that there was an issue. When I called at 4:00, I was told that "they got really busy." The actual problem wasn't disclosed until I picked her up. My real issues are with the groomer(s) not communicating with me during the process. I was told 2-3 hours because of the busy ness of the day. I was ok with that but the unknown hour and a half additional time and not being told why is not acceptable. I did not intend to walk around their store that long. The actual grooming is "ok" or 3 stars. She got a better one the last time she was done here which was also after all of the above happened. I will be looking elsewhere for her grooming needs. read more

The grooming service is horrible. They have no respect for customers time. I showed up 15 minutes before appointment, as most would think is courteous and was told I had to walk around the store b/c only the actual groomer who was cutting my dog could check him in and that groomer was still at lunch.
