My cat is pretty aggressive with the vets. We previously went to another Banfield location and it just want a good fit. The old vet was always about ointments and the elizabethan collar and we always had to go back multiple times to get everything healthy. Dr. Montgomery and her team made my cat feel calm and safe. They were able to provide care that would make Tiger most comfortable, which is important to me. She was realistic about pricing and comfort of my pet at home. She was thorough and listened carefully to my concerns. Her heart for animals is very evident!! read more

Picked up my 6 year old chihuahua/Yorkie mix today and I have to say, she looks great!! Her fur gets so long and stringy, especially around her face and they did an amazing job on fixing that up and she looked so cute! She also gets really bad eye boogers that are impossible (and painful) to get out but they managed to get it short enough that it won't be a problem! I'm so pleased and really want to take her back before I move back to VA. Everyone was so sweet to my dog and she was so excited and had to go say bye to everyone on her way to me! Definitely would recommend and I thank all the ladies that were there, especially Kelsey who did a wonderful job on her cut! read more

I like the staff at this Petsmart but, it was very hot inside. When asked, I was told the temperature is controlled out of their corporate offices. This is a very poor excuse. In Texas, the temperatures off and go over 100°. I would hate to see similar temperatures corresponding inside the store. read more

We have had always positive experiences at this store. It's clean, well stocked. My dog was trained there, even had a graduation hat...They also have a great pet hospital, Banfield which has taken care of our animals. The vets are nice and very caring. The grooming department is nice and clean and the groomers are friendly. Very handy location for us. read more

I rarely shop for products here but I use the grooming salon regularly. Megan is absolutely the BEST. She has been taking care of my fur-babies for years and is also an instructor for other groomers. She truly loves animals and I wouldn't trust my dogs to anyone else. read more

I went here once for my dogs nail trim and it went amazingly. My dog is a very anxious dog and HATES getting his nails trimmed. The girl that worked with him a month ago did an amazing job and I am sad I didn't get her name. But I came in today for another nail trim and they wouldn't let me stay in the room this time and then a couple minutes later turned us away because they weren't able to get my dog's nails clipped. When explaining how the last visit went great, the groomer ignored that and said that I have to go to a vet for grooming services because my dog was too much to handle. I understand that my dog is harder to handle than others but I feel like she could have worked with us more than just immediately turn us away. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the previous visit we had that left me at ease but this visit had me and my dog feeling unhappy. read more

I have been a Petsmart customer for over 10 years . We have only used petsmart for our grooming with our only dog and that has been for 10 years . I have never been treated so badly and talked down to like I was today by the salon manager Ashley . All of our dogs history is in your computer and she has had the same heart murmur everyone we have brought her and nothing has ever changed with her treatment or condition . Today we were told they would not groom her because of her condition and it not being medicated . Like I said previous same condition we have had and been going here 10 years at least once every 8 weeks or so and never have been told this by anyone ! Ashley is the rudest most unfriendly person and because of this experience you lost a loyal longtime customer who has always talked positive about this location and recommended so many people to come here. I will be letting my circle know not to bring there pets here any longer and not to support a store who hires unprofessional people to run there departments . I have been in the retail field for over 20 years and run extremely high volume high profile stores and know what customer service is suppose to look like and this has been one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered I would never have anyone that was in that salon today 07/21/21 @8:00 am working at any store to ran . I just picked up my Golden Retriever and they SHAVED him!!!!!! When i saw him, I said "What? You cut all of his hair off!" The blonde girl with glasses rudely said "Well his hair was long" HE IS A GOLDEN. They are supposed to have long hair!!!!! I am so upset. I asked for a scissor trim. I took him here 6 months ago and asked for the same thing and had no problems at all. Jenna was great. So so disappointed. I looked up reviews when I got home and it turns out that they have shaved multiple dogs when not asked to. So I would recommend taking your business somewhere else. I sure wish I did. read more

I was hesitant to bring our dog to Pet Smart for grooming after a horrible experience at a different store. The entire staff was very polite, and extremely gentle with our puppy. We took our 10 lb Yorkie (Roxie) in for grooming on Friday night. They called us a couple hours later and mentioned she had a couple sore spots on her neck but nothing major. Went to pick her up 2 hours later when they called and WE stood there in shock when they brought her out. She had been completely shaved to less than 1/8 of an inch. The supposed sore spots turned out to be razor burns where they cut her so close to her skin. I WARN everyone to make sure they get a copy of the grooming orders before they leave. We asked for a certain length cut and got a full blown "SHAVE". Nothing we can do it about it now. Well - there is 1 thing. NEVER - EVER - EVER patronize or go back to Petsmart in Allen. Cost us $45.00 and it will take our precious little love 4- 6 months to grow out. I would suggest as a dog owner you make plans to sit outside the grooming facility and carefully watch through the windows when they groom "your" dog. We didn't and now have to live with this UNBELIEVALBE screw-up. They can't put the hair back, but an attitude was OH-well really pisses me off. I think they had a trainee doing our dog grooming and when they started to cut her hair they cut it so close they had no other choice than to continue and make it all the same length. The problem is you can't argue with them if you don't have your instructions in writing! I will NEVER recommend or step foot in this Petsmart again. BAD- BAD - BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

If you are grooming your pet, stay clear of this location. My son took our cavalier poodle in for a haircut today and this location shaved her. When I went back to express my utter disappointment and dissatisfaction with the manager on duty, she refused to give me a copy of the paperwork. When I had her call her manager to get permission, the store manager said "she'll take the slap on the wrist for this." No apology, no let's try to figure out how this will never happen again. No compensation. My dog looks like a shaved rat. I would not recommend this store to anyone grooming their beloved pet. read more

I am writing this review to not only bring awareness to people but to also provide constructive feedback in the adoption process. We are strong believers in the adoption process and I think for the most part it works out well for both the adoption parents and animal. Roughly 2 weeks ago we lost our beloved orange tabby cat Morris, to cancer. Our family was absolutely heartbroken. We decided to go to PetSmart that Saturday to find another kitty to complete our family again. While we were there, I was approached by one of the fosters who told me all about one of her kittens that was ready for adoption. Several of the volunteers for NTCR overheard the conversation and even joined in. I exchanged numbers and emails with the foster mom and was in contact with her. She informed me that in order to meet the new kitten I would need to complete an application, per NTCR. After visiting their website and reviewing all qualifications - our family decided to start the application We answered all questions truthfully. After several text, emails and multiple conversations, we had narrowed down to a young male orange tabby the foster told us about. . The foster mom and I discussed this little guy repeatedly, exchanged text and several pictures. .These exchanges went on for over a week. I also had several email exchanges with NTCR. At this point we had no concerns about our application and the answers to the questions. This morning I received an email stating they did not feel we were a good fit for this kitten because a "friend" of one of the board members had a kitten that went out the doggy door and was hit and killed by a car. They were concerned that the same situation would happen to this kitten we wanted to adopt. This is extremely upsetting and troubling for the following reasons: 1. When filling out the application our family answered all questions truthfully and with no hesitation. Telling the truth was never a question - it was the right thing to do. The application asked if we had a doggy door and we answered yes. Our doggy door is on the screen door, not the main back door. This far in the adoption process, we never thought by answering the question about having a doggy door would have disqualified us as adoptive parents. If anywhere on the NTCR website it stated that applicants would be disqualified if they had a doggy door, we would have never submitted an application. 2. That the North Texas Cat Rescue made a decision on my application based on a "friends" situation. We feel that North Texas Cat rescue should look at each application individually. If NTCR could have seen past the friend's situation, they would have seen that our application, qualifications and our obvious overwhelming love for animals (especially cats) would have outweighed the misfortune their friend experienced. Lastly, the NTCR recommended we adopt a kitten from any of the local shelters. In their opinion, I guess it would be ok for a "shelter" cat to live in a home with a doggy door. It is just unfortunate that someone else's misfortune would play a role in the decision on OUR wanting to adopt. This little guy would have hit the jackpot with us and now I have had to break the news to our 12 year old daughter who was so ready to meet her new kitten. If you and your family are looking to adopt a family pet, I would suggest not meeting or discussing any cats with NTCR until your application is 100% approved. read more

Beware of deceptive selling in the Allen Village grooming. I tried to decline deshedding shampoo and sales person continued to recommend it. She didn't offer an alternative and never mentioned it would be more than a standard bath. Upon pickup, I learned there was an up sell charge. She didn't provide me with a copy of the form with pricing information. When I asked for a copy, it wasn't readily available. The manager had to go to another office to make a copy. read more

The customer service is fine and it's probably the reason why I didn't give this place one star. The reason behind the two stars is this: I have a hamster who has been itching uncontrollably so we went to petsmart to figure out what to do, the employees gave us some flea and tick spray and said if the itching continued to take him to the vet there at pet smart. So after a couple of treatments he's still itching so we take him to the vet at pet smart and they say that they don't work on small animals! That's like taking a child to a children's doctor and they say we don't work on small children, THAT'S LITERALLY YOUR JOB! I was infuriated that they wouldn't look at the hamster even though the employees said they would at least test him for mites. Honestly I feel like the customer service saves them from a one star rating from me. I know it's not that big of a deal a I probably sound like a crazy person but they said they would at least test him and they didn't even do that. Next time, keep your promises pet smart! read more

This store is great! I was not too impressed with the front of the store, however. When I walked in, there was no one up front. The groomers are wonderful and very sweet. My rating is based on the grooming. The girl that helped me was Meagan and she was so friendly. She walked me through everything and made suggestions. In the end she even gave me a progress report saying that she enjoyed working with my dog, Toby and she wanted to groom him again next time. The other girls were nice too and seemed to be very busy but still in a good mood. I really can't imagine why the last person to write a review had an issue unless his dog was matted and he just didn't want his dog shaved so he blamed the groomers. Whatever, see for yourself. I LOVED them, especially Meagan. I highly recommend this Petsmart's groomers. read more

Their service is great but I don't think they keep up with their fish. Bought couple of fishes there and ended they all dead also caused my whole aquarium infected with diseases. My guppies are dying now and I hate to see them suffering. I am buying lots of stuffs to help but nothing seems to help. I came back to the store and looked at the same aquarium where they sold me the fishes - saw 3 dead fishes in there. I don't think I will ever buy fishes there again. read more
