I took my dog Kobe to get groomed on Wednesday of this week at 7am. It was our first time taking our dog there to get groomed. We took him and right away when we picked him up he seemed very jumpy and anxious to leave. We didn't think anything of it. The next morning we noticed he kept licking and biting his nails on his back right foot. And again we didn't think anything of it. A few hours past and we see he's bleeding and we instantly check to see why, come to find out we see that Petsmart cut his nails way to short and they even cut a piece of his skin as well. We took him to the vet immediately and they wrapped his foot put some stitches on him. Worst part is Petsmart didn't even inform us they cut him or anything. Better yet, here you can enjoy spending time selecting products based on various sales offers, like buy 2 get 1 free, or buy 1 get the second 1/2 off, and then find out the sale doesn't reflect on your receipt. Then, the best thing, you can try to explain this to the kid at the register, who, again, is so high he can't keep "310" straight in his mind long enough to type it in. Will never again buy an animal at ANY PetSmart!!! Please avoid at all cost and get it from a breeder rather than money-hungry companies like PetSmart or PetCo. These animals come from mills and are not given the proper care they need. Here's my story: Bought a Bearded Dragon 2mo ago as a present to my fiancé. I was told by their store worker to get a 20 gallon tank kit, to spray dragon with water a few times daily and if they close their eyes as we pet them it means they trust you. I come to find out by actual breeders that these babies need 150 gallon tanks, that it is really bad to spray them water daily, and they close their eyes as a survival stance to stress. Not to mention the horrible round UVB improper lighting that came with the kit where I had to later replace for a proper Reptisun T5 10.0 light as it can cause them MBD (metabolic bone disease) IT GETS MUCH WORST! Three weeks after getting the beardie we start noticing that he's dragging his body and not very active ever since we got him. We thought he was dying and took him to a vet right away. He got an x-ray, fecal exam, initial exam and three medications, cost us literally a thousand dollars! We come to find out he has MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) due to lack of calcium and proper lighting because crappy ass PetSmart does not provide these baby beardies with proper lighting or calcium powder in their food. Just look at their tanks and their horrible round UVB lights....AND THERE'S MORE...his fecal exam results showed he had two bugs making him sick, one of which is coccidia, commonly found with beardies purchased at horrible PetSmart because it's contagious and they don't clean their tanks properly it at all...so all of the beardies end up getting it since it's contagious and tanks aren't cleaned properly. Just go to their stores and look at how many beardies they have in a tiny 10 gallon tank! So, after spending over 1k with exotic vet bills, pain medication as his bones are so fragile that it caused him to bruise his back leg, then we also have to give him liquid calcium to treat a very slow treatment to improve his MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) due to super weak little bones) AND dewormer meds to remove the two bugs from him stomach. And I'm not even mentioning the cost of also 1k with beardie needs such as having to replace the crap UVB light I was told to get with the horrible small kit I was also told to get, and the reptile carpet I was also told to get that is also horrible as it holds on to bacteria. Funny enough, that's what they have at their tanks with the horrible round UVB lighting and a few beardies in the same tank. No wonder they all come with diseases and physical illnesses. All the breeders I spoke to said to stay away from PetSmart for any animals, specially beardies. So, 2,000 dollars later and my beardie is still struggling to walk, struggling to have energy, and struggling to eat daily all because I trusted a chain pet store without knowing upon research how often this happens to pets that comes from these stores. Please learn from my mistakes and DO NOT but an animal there. I am so furious and am currently speaking to my attorney to know what my rights are and if I can proceed with a lawsuit for all the stress, financial cost and damages that were caused by their lack of proper care and shady business! All they care about is money MONEY MONEY!!! PLEASE provide your employees with proper knowledge so they don't give wrong information to new pet owners that could potentially kill the animal! That is, if the damage already done at the mills they come from won't also make the animal so weak that a customer has to deal with the consequences of poor inadequate treatment of these animals!! read more

The groomers here are horrible. Don't ever make an appointment late in the day because they will find a reason to deny you service so they can get off and go home. Your appointment system is open until 6 pm! You can't leave because you want to at 5! And don't make an appointment with your chosen groomer and expect to be serviced by them. Made an appointment specifically with Rose and she was nowhere to be found. Neither did anyone call to tell me she was not in. Management does NOT care so don't think you can escalate to them and get resolution. The haircuts they give are minimally mediocre at best. Stay away! read more

So let me start off by saying I know I could have spent way less money somewhere else for the items I got, but Rachel was nice and I just couldn't do it lol I initially went in the store and checked out the reptile section for my Ball Pythons, Banana & Kaa. I knew I was going to need some help shopping, so I went to the cashier and that's when Rachel came out of no where and offered assistance. I was immediately impressed with her customer service skills. Anyways, I really only needed a small heating pad for Banana's tank, but I ended up getting two thermometer & hygrometers for my tanks, and I seen this really cool looking hide, a medium sized hide I mind you, but I got it anyways. Kaa needed a new hide, his old hide served it's purpose. As Rachel was helping me throughout the store, I asked about puppies but they don't have any, so she showed me cats. I didn't want to be rude so I listened, but her keeping my attention is a good sales tactic because we transitioned the conversation to birds. I asked to see the bird cages and other things they had. She ended up having some treat that's supposed to sharpen thebeaks of my parakeets. I'm giving this spot a low rating only based on the prices. I don't think I'll come back as often as I would like to. I can order similar items through Amazon for a less money. If it wasn't for Rachel and her excellent service, and consideration to help the disabled customers, I would have not purchased anything! Thank you Rachel! read more

Today is the 3rd day Betty (mngr) treated me beyond poorly in the parking lot. She was in her white SUV, giving me dirty looks beyond unprofessional. She should not be in the store anymore. The first interaction I had was in the store and she had refused to help me out until I let her know that another manager she had helped my husband out before and then she felt that she had to help me out so she went ahead and did a override for three cans of wet food that literally cost one dollar. Second interaction was when I asked another manager on another visit if I can get the 20% off because there was issues with the app so I was unable to use the coupon online for 20% off entire purchase so Dani went ahead and helped me out and gave me 20% off at the register. Betty was very angry. She was giving me ugly looks and not willing to help. This is the third interaction and unfortunately the parking lot should not be considered as interaction. She was off duty in her car and causing problems in the parking lot by giving me ugly. Looks when I had just parked and got out of my car. read more

Thank god for this place, always has been there for my babies' needs and even items for emergencies. But the main thing that compelled me to give this 5 star review is the customer service, specifically from Alexis (she was so sweet and extremely helpful! She gave me alot of helpful advice today when I was making several returns at the register and was also so helpful/generous spirit) and also one of the managers who always helps me out too (i am not too sure what his name is, but he is the asian guy and i think his name is..Brian? I should have checked yelp before going to the store for grooming service, which is a total waste of time. I made the appointment online, went to the store at the appointment time, and found all the people there were busy working with dogs. After a minute, one lady tried to check me in and asked for the vaccine record, which I provided. Then, she asked me when the rabies vaccine was done, which was two days ago. After that, she brought my record to the grooming manager, who asked me whether it had been 48 hours, which was not mentioned in the online appointment process but luckily happened to be true as the vaccine was done at 9am so 48 hours had passed. As the lady went back to me, the conversation becomes weird. The lady: "We cannot check you in now." I: "Why?" The lady: "We have a policy of 48 hours." I: "Why? It has been 48 hours." The groom manager: "Just wait for 10-20 minutes." I: "If I need to wait for 20 minutes, I'd better cancel the reservation." The lady: "Are you sure you want to cancel the reservation?" The groom manager: "Just wait for 10-20 minutes." So I stepped aside and wait. After a couple of minutes, as I had nothing to do and checked my email, I found my reservation had been canceled and the lady just watched me continue waiting there. Wonderful custom services! I talked to the store manager, who then talked to the grooming manager, who then went on to other businesses. Ten minutes later, she was like, "did they talk to you?" "No, they didn't." Then, she talked to the grooming manager again, and I was brought back into the grooming area. The grooming crew did not think that they did anything wrong and told me that because my appointment was canceled, it will take a bit longer than 5 hours for me to get the service done despite there being no people checked in during the whole incident. In short, don't trust their grooming appointment system, like other reviews said, it was totally messed up. read more

my review is for the grooming part of the store all I have to say is they were fail at they're communication skills not once but twice I was turned away not to mention wasting my time and gas just to get there because I live about 30min away so the first time I called ahead of time to make sure they would take my dog and make sure they were still open which they replied YES to both my questions and that i had to be there before 5:30 pm because that's when they take the last pet in to groom as far as walk-in So I head over I get there 15mins before 5:30pm just for them to tell me that they were closing early and weren't taking anymore walk-ins mind you I rushed out of work to do this then today I call once again to make sure and I let them know I was turned away once already and they assured me my pet would get groomed I ask what was need they said just get there before 5:30 once again I make it at 5:10 once again they ask me this time for paper work on my dog my dog has all her shots I was not informed I would need to bring her shot record or else I would have brought it so for the schools time we were turned away wasting more gas and my time thanks petsmart grooming you really need to learn how to communicate and your customers skills you have none my pet is my child and you treated her like she wasn't even there that was awesome read more

This place was an absolute nightmare. Not only is no one capable of holding any of the reptiles, they told me that in order for me to see anyone socialize with the reptiles I would need to purchase them and then return them. I went into the store fully intending to buy a chameleon or bearded dragon and was met with such hostility not only from the associates but also from the manager Mr. Valdez. Every person I came into contact with had the WORST attitudes and had absolutely no reason to act the way they were. I am thoroughly disappointed in this Petsmart and am convinced they have no idea how to do their jobs. I don't know how Mr. Valdez got put into the position he is in because he clearly is incapable of managing anything. Right after he told me no one in the store was "qualified" to hold the reptiles, one of his coworkers got aggressive with me and said, FINE, GIVE ME THE KEYS AND I WILL TAKE THEM OUT! When I replied GREAT! Mr. Valdez said he was "going to talk to her because what she said was wrong. Not only did he embarrass me in front of other customers, he made a few comments that were completely out of line and inappropriate. I fully intend to contact headquarters and let them know what kind of people they have representing their establishment. If you are that unhappy with your job, you should find a new one and not make customers feel the way he did. It's sad that these people are in charge of animals lives. Petco's customer service is superior to Petsmart. Somehow, Petco stopped selling the dental treats my dogs use, so I'm obliged to come to this Petsmart. They don't honor deals online not even the deals they have on the store. It's so upsetting they don't work with customers. The manager, Taylor, she didn't seem to want to help. Nowhere does it say the treats I'm taking are excluded from the promotion. Online I'm able to check out the same treats with the same promotion. They need to do as they say. So upsetting. It's not the first time they don't honor a deal. I will stop coming to this place and just order online. Do yourself a favor, and just do that. Order online, don't come into this store. read more

They are not helpful and in such a rush to get you off the phone. Not inviting at all. The price, well you can get a lot more for your money at Moochie's just about 5 minutes away from PetSmart. And I believe the service is way better and the price is way lower as well. Try it! GROOMING SALON REVIEW (0 Stars) This used to be my go to groomer as Javier was soo awesome with my previous dog but she passed a few years ago. Javier was soo accommodating with his schedule and stayed late so she would be the only dog in the salon because my previous dog was not well dog socialized/reactive because she was older when we rescued her. She LOVED Javier! I'm not sure if Javier is there anymore, I should have checked, but I was in a rush to get an appointment. However, I'm SUPER DISAPPOINTED at the most recent grooming session at this location. It was the worst, I will never come back due to Jessica T's attitude. When I initially brought my 10 month old Border Collie puppy, Jessica already mentioned she may not be able to do his nails because he's too energetic. I said, he's never had an issue with it before & he gets groomed every 3-4 weeks & that's one of the things he doesn't mind. He does not like the dryer though. I get a frantic call about an hour later that they can't continue the services because he was snapping and biting. I was like "WHAT???" He has never done that before!! And I would have to pick him up and he would still be wet because he was biting the cage & acting crazy. All reports I've received from other Petsmart locations & including this location was he was a happy pup & maybe a "bit" excited, but never a negative/biting behavior. Once I went in to pick him up, they charged me the full amount (~$60) even though he was still wet & nails were long. Since I got an upgraded package "Top Dog Plus" add on, I asked: Me: Does he get a bandana? Jessica: you don't get a bandana Me (looking at the menu of services): It states here there is a bandana Jessica (huffs & puffs with rollong eyes): here - and throws it on the counter That was so rude! Her attitude is horrible. She doesn't even know what she was supposed to do based on the package I bought. How do I even know she did everything she should have? Probably cutting corners because he usually smells good after leaving the groomer, but not this time. Jessica is inexperienced & has a horrible attitude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND her. Book with her at your own risk. STORE REVIEW (3 Stars) The store itself is very open & well organized. It's clean & doesn't smell like animals. They are pretty stocked with most items I need most of the time so it works out. I've had good experiences at this store. However, prices are on the higher side. Parking is very convenient as they are located in a big plaza with Albertsons & Party City. I would recommend this location, but there are better Petsmarts & smaller local stores. read more

I got the cutest hamster in the world at this Petsmart! I also have turtles, so I come here at least once a month to buy hamster treats and turtle food. I like the selection of products and the spaciousness of the aisles. I also enjoy looking at all the animals and fish and even watching the dog grooming going on through the window in the front. Yes, I am that easily entertained. But where they lose their star is customer service. Not that the people who are there aren't helpful. They are. It's just a pain finding anyone to help you - there just aren't enough workers on the floor. They don't have sales or coupons on the products I buy, so I'm not sure what use the Petsmart card is. read more

I've gone to this pet smart for toys and dog grooming. Rose is really good with my dog . Maggie (my dog) comes back calm and not scared, traumatized, nor hurt ... no cuts on her when Rose grooms her. I brought her in once for a bath and another associate attended her and Maggie came back hurt with a deep cut next to her eye. I would never bring her back with this particular associate who bathed her that one time. I only bring her with Rose for a bath and full haircut. read more
