    Stopped in to pick up a couple things and there were 2 of the absolute sweetest ladies working in the store. So incredibly friendly, warm, kind and welcoming. They also gave us some treats for our dog which was so nice. On top of that, the store itself has a good selection of pet food, supplies and accessories. Would definitely recommend this location :)

    Came in even after seeing the comment they were racist still decided to give a try and I'm glad I did . I got a new baby dog (bob ) and she helped me find food perfect for him tried on harnesses to make sure fit before purchasing. And she made sure getting the best price for every item I needed. We will definitely be back .. thanku Denise (I think that was her name )

    I had a very disappointing experience at Petco this past Saturday (04/04/26) with their grooming…read moreservice. I dropped off my 6-month-old miniature poodle mix--this was his 4th time being groomed, and he has never had any issues before. He is hyperactive, which I had already noted for the groomers. I was assisted by Sofia, who asked what length I wanted for his haircut. Unlike previous visits where groomers show examples, she didn't. I told her I wasn't sure and mentioned it's usually the second-to-last shortest. She responded, "so a number 2 in humans?"--again, I said I wasn't sure. She said she would show me, but never did. After weighing him (15 lbs), I asked about his weight and she replied, "probably all that food he's been eating," which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. About two hours later, I received a call saying my dog bit her. This was extremely surprising given his history--he has never shown aggression or bitten anyone. They told me he had "a little attitude" after being bathed and then bit her during shaving. When I picked him up, he was acting very unlike himself--distant and withdrawn. Once home, I checked him and noticed he was bleeding. I immediately called back, and the response I received was concerning. They referred to him as "the one who tried biting the groomer," which conflicted with what I had initially been told. After putting me on hold to "ask the groomers," they came back and said, "the only logical explanation is when he was trying to bite, he must've bit something." That explanation did not sit right with me at all. My dog left the appointment physically injured and emotionally off, despite having no prior issues with grooming. I feel the situation was not handled with transparency or care. I strongly advise others to be cautious when using grooming services here.

Most tanks were maintained and maybe one or two small ones needed attention. I spent lots of money on back to back visits. 7 months later went for more corys and unfortunately some changes have brought on this review. Peering into some of the very first tanks as I walked in, I'm noticing dead fish sprinkled about. I understand they could've had a busy rush, but they didn't look freshly deceased. Not a good look. Algae growth in some areas, yikes!.. and this is the first time seeing significant hair algae in a high tech display tank. Higher prices on basic plants than the competitors. They aren't rare, large or fancy and half are raggedy or already dying. Their anubias (cased) used to be BIG and impressive, but now small and they're charging the same price. Lady behind the counter helped me, but when she made a "portion" of guppy grass I discovered it was HALF the portion those guys have given me in the past. And I still got charged $8.99 for it! Not like they didn't have enough to sell- they definitely did, but even so I feel she should've pro-rated for just plucking out 5-6 sprigs. I also bought some (Venezuelan?) corys, albino corys and amano shrimp. The Venezs are super happy but now I see one has white on his back, hoping that's not fungus! And sadly two of the albinos didn't make it so far. They were tiny and delicate, so it might've just been a sensitive species (even though I acclimated them slowly over hours) but still that's money I'm out. The good part is they have a pretty wide freshwater fish and shrimp variety and most of the tanks are kept clean. Fish I've bought previously are still happy and thriving. They also have a large supply of dry goods, frozen food and supplies which is convenient. Parking is plentiful in the rear and access through the back of store is awesome. I still want to check out the new fish they get in. Don't know if I can trust in it sadly. *EDIT* The owner reached out to resolve the portion issue. I'm hoping they fix the rest so I have confidence with live purchases again.

First incident I had an issue with said groomer, she chipped my dogs nail really deep to the point she kept bleeding. Now I understand accidents happen, but she didn't even mention anything to my husband when he picked up his mom's dog, nor did she offer anything to help with the bleeding beforehand. I came in and was upset because my MIL's dog was bleeding everywhere. She started speaking to me in Spanish, and I said sorry I don't speak Spanish (I'm Asian that knows some Spanish but can't get by easily) maybe I could've worded it differently but I didn't collect myself before blurting that out. She grabbed a worker, cool guy with the long wavy locks, and he was very professional and apologized in which I accepted. Incident 2, I had made an appointment for Sunday, 3/29/26. I came in around 9:40, waited behind a lady who was a WALK-IN and was told that she (same groomer with the itty-bitty nose septum piercing) couldn't take anymore dogs because she has a full day. Then I said I have an appointment though, and she looked at me like sorry can't do it then heads over to get the manager. Manger explained to me she couldn't take my mother in laws dog because she's matted, it'll take too long so it may stress the dog and leads to biting/irritable dog. Okay, so how are they going to take walk ins and not prioritize appointments knowing that dogs may come in matted? They should take in to account unforeseen circumstances like this...she (groomer) is the professional and should understand how business works and by experience and knowledge that clients have dogs that need extra time? Manager didn't reprimand the worker. She kept apologizing for not being able to take my MIL's dog and that she can make an appt for Thursday with Doro the other groomer. I wanted to give this place another chance but this same girl just gave it another bad experience. It's funny because the customer before me turned around and gave me an ugly face like she didn't like how the groomer was responding to her when she requested her dog's paws to be shaven down. The lady was asking nicely and didn't even give you an attitude. With that last statement, that should be enough that it isn't just me who has an issue with this girl. If you don't like your job Then find a new one. If you have a packed day, don't take any more walk ins. Simple. I feel bad for people who have her as a groomer. I gave 3 stars because they still have legit, knowledgeable workers

This is why we had a false sense of trust in them again and booked a third shower. Now this is where our second bad encounter comes in. It was a warm day and the lady at the front desk kept our Frenchie in the hot back area to the point that our dog had a heat stroke she didn't survive. This b**ch is out here killing animals out of ambition. She literally confessed to seeing warning signs of our dog's distress, but continued with the service to not return the money we paid up front! Oh and IT DOESNT END THERE! She must be so unorganized that now she's harassing for payment that was made AGAIN. Wtf is wrong with these people? I paid, my dog died, and they're still harassing us!!! Agustin's shop is clean, whimsically decorated with a really cool fish and turtle pond in front and the reptiles and birds are very well taken care of. Agustin helped me out a couple of years ago when I had to move my Mom out of her home and into an Assisted Living Facility and had to re-home her two large birds. Agustin found a buyer for her Moluccan Cockatoo at a fair price and a home for her other bird. I continue to frequent Agustin's for a feeder rat for my daughter's snake. I have noticed prices have gone up considerably over the years but what hasn't. I do appreciate their frequent feeder mouse/rat card and that they use double paper bags for the critters because they do like to chew free. They always have a great display of reptiles and birds I like to walk through, too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for your reptile and bird needs.

The only reason this place caught my eye is because of their display of earth friendly toys. I took a look at all of them trying to figure out which one I thought my pup would like best. I also didn't expect to purchase any given most toys made at this caliber would be pricey. To my surprise, the one I picked out was under $10. I had to do a double take because I'm due for new prescription glasses, but there it really was. Under $10! Walked out happy with the purchase and looked forward to giving it to the pup. He loved it. I loved that he loved it and I loved that we helped mother earth - even if it was just 6 plastic bottles' worth! I had to rush the visit because I was notified my table for grub was ready. It was worth the wander into this quieter wing of the Del Amo mall. The employee couldn't give a smaller rat's ass about the customer service though. She stared at me as she approached her cashier area, and I was the one who greeted her. I guess old retail habits die hard! Not a bad detour but definitely check out next door for Game Chest.
