We took advantage of the 50% off on food and beverages to try Petralunga for the first time. The outside patio faces the water and marina which made for a very nice view. Service was also very good I must say. The eggplant appetizer we ordered was 5 stars, but the Cacio e Pepe which included little pieces of Truffle Carpaccio was made with Fettuccini noodles instead of the traditional noodles and it was smothered with sauce. They did the cheese wheel presentation, but the plate was cold and it looked like it was just for show instead of making the cheese melt. I could barely taste the truffle which is why I ordered it so it was truly disappointing. The toasted bread they brought out was so hard we were worried about cracking a tooth. I asked for untoasted bread, and they brought out lightly toasted bread which was decent. The couple next to us thoroughly enjoyed the two plates they ordered and enjoyed their cocktails. The Cosmo I ordered tasted very syrupy and I couldn't taste that much liquor at all so I wouldn't recommend that. Chairs on the patio are curved on the sides and a larger person will have a problem fitting into them. The tip will be based on the regular price instead of the 50% discounted food price on weekends which I didn't have a problem with. Overall, the restaurant does have great service, a great view and good food. Just don't order the Cacio e Pepe if you want a traditional one. read more

We visited earlier this week for the first time and had a great experience. We ordered pizza and a pasta. Both were really good. They have two different pizza styles with a lot of variations. We tired the thin style margherita and it was perfectly done, very tasty. We also had the lobster ravioli, which was great. I want to go back to try the Roman style pizza. The service was excellent all around, our server was Malena. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors because it was a bit windy the evening we visited, but the outdoor seating looked nice as it was close to the water. Parking was very easy. I look forward to returning soon. read more

This place is my best kept secret, until now. They have amazing food and service, with a great happy hour (m-th). The Pinot Grigio was only $6. They also have food specials throughout the week. I've been on Monday's for pastas specials and Tuesday for pizza specials. The spaghetti and meatballs was blissful! The setting is intimate and trendy, right off the water. Both were delicious!! Even with the discount, they were not chintzy with the amount of meat in the dishes. I really liked their dinnerware. The plates are thicker and heavier, probably from Italy. Nice linen napkins and lovely glassware!! Petralunga has all these extra nice details that distinguish them from other restaurants. I'm impressed. For dessert, we decided to split a Tiramisu. Amanda prepared the Tiramisu right at our table so that it was fresh and delicious. Although the martinis are free, they are deducted after your total and gratuity is also added to your check. Those are charged separately. I would stick to the pizzas which don't disappoint. Better yet, order your pizza and take it elsewhere. FREE APEROL SPRITZ on Saturday is the reason I came. I arrived with a friend around 1pm and sat outside...we were very surprised the place stayed virtually empty for the 2.5 hours we were there. Aperol spritz Is my favorite drink and it looked like there was some official Aperol representatives from the company to do content and hype the place up. Unfortunately, no one else showed up...it's a very cute place they should really market themselves better. The Aperol kept me in a pretty good mood, but unfortunately after I tried the octopus I was pretty disappointed, it was extremely chewy and fatty I couldn't eat it (very strange since it says it's the chefs signature) maybe should've went with a pasta dish or pizza... This spot is too good! I will definitely be coming back at-least once a month to enjoy the fresh pasta and crispy ! We tried a new pasta which was the Lobster Ravioli and it was delicious. We got the Brusklyn pie again and it is still so good. The only thing I would note is that the stracciatella cheese on top can cool down the pizza quickly because it is cold, so if you prefer your pizza piping hot I would ask for no cheese.
