When I walked in to pick it up, I was greeted warmly by the staff, which made a great first impression. The sandwich was packed with roast beef, turkey, bacon, and Swiss, and everything tasted super fresh. I got it Mike's Way, and the combo of oil, vinegar, and seasonings really brought it all together. The bread was soft but held up perfectly, and the veggies were crisp and refreshing. The bacon added the perfect crunch and smokiness--I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that good. It was super filling without being too heavy, and every bite was delicious. Definitely a 10/10 first experience, and I'll for sure be coming back soon.

But at Jersey Mike the fresh cutting of the cold cuts does make a huge difference to the product and requires a step above service from the other large sub chain. My Italian was loaded with tons of thinly sliced cold cuts - sandwiched between soft bread and crips veggies. The addition of the oil, vinegar and seasoning enhanced the overall sandwich. The regular size was fulfilling because of the amount of stuff between the buns, and after the last bite I was so full and totally satisfied. My daughter was laughing so hard because I was so excited when they made my sub but it was such a joyful experience.

Lunch plans Tuesday 6/9/2026 took my retired teacher club to this awesome place…read more Our group was small but we had such a wonderful time. Service was great. The young ladies were very busy but still checked on us as much as possible. We received water promptly and my friend ordered a sampler plate of hummus, Baba Ganoush and spinach dip. The trio was served with pita and chips. The pita was okay. It was a little tough. I ordered the Santorini Gyro. It had Gyro meat, lettuce, tomatoes, purple onions, cucumbers, feta cheese and Café Med herbal vinaigrette dressing. It was huge and was delicious. It needed a little bit more vinaigrette for me. I took a lot of it home to enjoy. Our sampler trio was quite tasty. The restaurant is decorated with Mediterranean decor. It is quite quaint and very cozy. A tad warm inside but still comfortable. We were waiting for the server to bring our checks as we did not know we were to pay at the register in the rear. The place was very busy as many patrons stopped for lunch or take-out orders. I will return for sure.

I could tell that he had established relationships with some of his customers and that is always nice to see. It is great when a business can truly be connected to their community. It was raining one day and he was courteous enough to help me take my food to my car and even opened my door for me. He is such a kind person. He has gained a customer for sure in me. I also want to say that their side salad is really good. I used to try the pasta as the side but it would always be so dry and flavorless. Now that I have had their salad, with such great improvement, I'm curious if the pasta has received a makeover as well. I also order a salad that had the Greek salad. It has feta cheese in it, olives, onion, tomato with a side of Balsamic vinaigrette and an Herbal vinaigrette dressing. I fully enjoyed the salad and that is saying a lot, because I don't typically do salads at restaurants just because I feel like I make better at home.

I didn't just eat at Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana... I had a full-on out-of-body experience…read more Let's talk about these Milanesa tacos--because WOW. One bite in and I forgot my name, my responsibilities, and honestly what life was like before this moment. Crispy, juicy, perfectly stacked perfection... I'm pretty sure I ascended for a second there. The flavors? Illegal levels of good. The kind of good that makes you pause mid-bite, stare into the distance, and rethink every taco you've ever had before this. And yes... I'm not ashamed to say it--I had a full-blown foodgasm. No regrets. Would do it again. Immediately. 10/10. If you haven't been to Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana yet, what are you even doing with your life?

Odd place. The owner seems to consider himself an ambassador of authentic Mexican food and that…read moretheir food is somehow special and unique. He's very nice, but the food is only average and certainly not unique unless you've never had authentic Mexican food. We are from out of town and I'm guessing that maybe this place might be the only restaurant serving such cuisine in the area. I did, however, see a taco truck downtown that looked pretty damn authentic. The prices here are ridiculous. I have been to restaurants all over the country serving the exact same food and rarely pay more than $3 per taco or $12 for a torta. By the way, what they call a "Tortuga" it's not a signature creation. It's just a torta, a staple of authentic Mexican food. My friend and I both got taco plates, which were each around $25. That's outrageous. That would even be outrageous for a place that has table service which this place does not. I would not come back here. If I am in Memphis again and craving Mexican food, I'm definitely going to try the trucks. PS Guy Fieri signing off on a restaurant is something that I consider more of a red flag than a sign of excellence.
