We came here to watch a college football game. They have a lot of tvs and the sound on for whatever the biggest game is at the moment. It's actually as hockey bar with a really cool story about the namesake. It's definitely a sports bar with lively fans so go for the sports and be ready to cheer. The person working was super friendly. She was the only person outside the kitchen for part of the time and she somehow served the entire place on her own. And she did it without seeming stressed or overwhelmed. Pretty impressive. They have a lot of beer on tap, cans, and NA options too and a full bar for cocktails. Growing up in Central IL and Iowa, I do miss the food, drinks and sports from the Midwest, even though I first moved to Seattle back in 1994. Petroskey's isn't strictly a Chicago bar or a Detroit bar, but it does serve the region well. Tavern pizza? Check, Malort? Check. St. Louis pizza with provel cheese? Check and this is the version we went with on our first visit since provel cheese is not common around here. Bells beer on draft? Check. You get the idea. Service was solid and friendly. They have a legit pizza oven. Plenty of screens and in a part of Fremont where you can find parking. Came here with my dad during the Cubs playoff series and had a blast. After the "saddest room in Seattle" (the backroom at Buckley's on 2nd where Vikings fans congregated every Sunday during football season) closed, the local Vikings fan club chairman arranged a deal with Petoskey's to host our dedicated tribe of "before I die" masochists. Petosky's is a Vikings bar on Sundays. I spend a lot of time and money here because I love feeling a little slice of home. I was drawn to Petoskey's because of its Midwest theme, to watch a Detroit Lions football game and wax nostalgic about my roots in Michigan. It's a small but fun place. Parking is sparse. Once inside, the atmosphere is breezy, the food is decent and the service is friendly, though a bit distracted. There are plenty of giant TVs and the game was on. So mission accomplished. But in truth, it was just a pleasant, typically Fremont type of sports bar. Maybe I expected too much of its Midwest theme. read more

Instant 5 for me. First timer today for lunch and it was a high quality experience all around. First off, I could have eaten outside on a nice day, but when I do my initial engagement with a new sports bar I haven't tried, wouldn't you eat at the bar? If you walk into this place and it doesn't scream sports bar at you then perhaps you've never been to one. Garrison was quick to greet me but even furthermore having it be my first time there, he was also well detailed about the menu items and what he thought would be a good dish for a first impression. I went with the Philly Cheese steak. Now look I have bought plenty of mediocre cheese steak sandwiches before in my restaurant adventures in the city. This was not one of them. East coast style with the cheese mixed into the meat before serving and I went with pepper jack cheese. I met the owner as well who thanked me numerous times for coming in. I am a little surprised by the good reviews. We are Midwesterners and was stoked to find a place that claimed to have Midwestern food, specifically Imo's pizza and Imo's toasted ravs. I ordered a chicago beef (they call it an Italian beef (same)). ALL of it was bad. All of it. I guess if you aren't from the Midwest you may like it. If you are from the Midwest, skip it. Pizza burned black and NOT anything similar to Imo's. Toasted raviolis burned and not Imo's sauce like they claim. My beef sandwich was mediocre and the fries were floppy. lol Staff was very friendly. Guinness was good. Skip the food. read more

An OK bar. Attended a Vikings vs. Niners game on Sunday, Nov. 28th. Arrived at around noon. Typical American food with Pizzas, Chicken Wings, French Fries and Tater Tots. Tried the Walleye fish sandwich which wasn't that tasty. Was missing some flavor and seasoning. Tater Tots were very good. Chicken Wings were OK. Pizza wasn't that good, as it came out burnt and with very little toppings of Jalapeño and Pepperoni. We even asked for extra Jalapeño, too. Service was pretty good. They even gave out Viking Purple shots during halftime. Wish they weren't too stingy with the carrot sticks as we had to keep asking for them multiple times as we only got 5 small pieces a plate at a time. We even said we didn't care if there was extra charge and wanted a big plateful of carrot sticks, but we only got 5, 5, 5 and then 10 carrot sticks for the 3 of us. We were there until 4:30 PM, so it would have been nice to get better service from Noon until we left. Getting refills was kind of tough as well since the server was hard to find during game time. Vikings lost the game, the crowd was decent, but there were a couple of annoying people who were being loud and obnoxious after they became belligerent and drunk. read more

Honestly horrible experience I really just don't understand everything was fine until it took 20 minutes for them to come and ask me if I wanted something to drink to which the couple who just sat down next to me ordered before me then I asked to order tots which took about 25 minutes then when I asked about how long it would be to which she replied as if I never ordered tots then said oh no we can get it to you in 2 minutes and I said no don't worry about it just cash me out then one of the bartenders insisted that he gives it to me on the house and asked me to stay around which I did for another 15 to 20 minutes then when I got up to ask where they were he's just like "yeah I don't know he just uhh" extremely incompetent but oh well won't be stopping here again read more

Review in the Time of Covid: This review only covers the quality of food ordered for delivery. Ordering through the website for delivery (even delivery later in the day) was easy. They deliver through DoorDash, and though I clicked the request for updates on order, none were received. This has happened at other places that use DoorDash, so I'm guessing it's a tech problem outside of their control. Delivery was almost exactly when I ordered. We got two pizzas. These are thin crust pizzas, cut into squares instead of slices, which made my Midwestern heart happy. We got The Great Mike Petoskey and the Mackinac Island - even asked in the comments to put the jalepeños on half, and they did! The pizzas were a little *too* good for Midwestern bar food. They were saucy and delicious. The jalepeños were a little too mild for my taste, but overall the pizzas were hit for family TV night. I wish the toppings were bit more edge to edge, as some of the corner pieces were mostly crust. The middle slices were the best, by far. I look forward to trying their other Midwestern options. read more

we like this spot because we can bring out dog, but you have to do everything yourself. the bartender asked us to come to her for everything. she never asked how we were, if we liked our food, if we wanted more drinks... our tab by the end of our time was upwards of $90. when her shift was over she just stood to the side of the bar never asking for us to close out. just waiting. so strange. some work needs to be done here. read more

I would say a 3.5 so I'll round up to 4! We stopped into Petoskey's a few weeks ago. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. They have lots of fun/different pizzas on their menu. We ended up ordering their taco pizza and cheese curds. The food took a little bit to come out but not a problem. The cheese curds were standard but yummy. The taco pizza was definitely different but I enjoyed it! It's thin crust, has meat, veggies and lettuce. It was cut into small squares so it was easy to eat. They have lots of tvs so it's a great place to come watch sports. The service was friendly, even when they started to get busy. It's in Fremont so parking can be a little tricky. Lucky for us, we found parking right away. It's a little on the pricey side for what you get..but that's Seattle for you! I would come back for pizza and sports. read more

This is a great sports bar. My boyfriend and I love to watch the Kraken games here. The staff is very friendly and the food is actually wonderful. I love the fried cheese, curds and the hoagies. Woohoo is right! Petoskey's has got it right! We lived in the Midwest for over 40 years -- 6 of which were in MN ... and it feels like we walked back home when we got to Petoskey's! Everything from the food, to the beer selections, and to the decor on the walls makes this place feel like you're back in the Land of the Lakes! My wife and I went there hoping to curb our pizza and beer craving, and boy were we happy we did. We got a sausage and mushroom pizza with a couple of "lawn mower" beers (Rainier and Olympia). While they didn't have some of our favorite MN and ND beers, these two certainly taste similar and filled the need. The pizza was absolutely delicious! Super thin crust ... cut into squares ... with amazing sauce and ingredients. It tasted just like our favorite places back in MN and ND. There is only 1 size of pizza that they make in their wood fired ovens and if we had just one drawback, it's that they are a bit too small. With my big appetite and us having a child too, getting filled up on just one pizza isn't going to happen. Next time we'll need to order an appetizer or have two pizzas. Besides that though, Petoskey's is wonderful! We will definitely be back many times! read more
