Adoption and then stores, from Massachusetts to the coast... the staff at bills never pressed us to buy, but always let us ask questions and play with the dogs to see if good fit. Was between this store and another in Salem, but the puppies there were violent, and temperamental. I missed out on a husky he had, but he called a breeder and got pictures of some pups, we picked a fat little boy. When he came in, we were first at the door! Even after we spent about an hour in the play area with the puppy, they never pressed, and answered questions about payment, health, vet checkups, about the breed. All the puppys here have always been the most playful and happy of dogs. Mine is the biggest cuddle bug, friendly and well behaved. So why not 5 stars? Not the biggest selection of food and toys, but what they do have is an awesome selection of well cared for dogs, tons of fish, kittens, and the fluffiest damn rabbit you every seen! Spend some time in the store, visit more than once before you make a snap choice, and you'll see how awesome of a store this is to!

Prior to cat sitting I went and met Cathy at her store. Her store blew me away. The minute you walk in Cat's Kingdom you can feel the love. You can also see some cats :). There was Moo, Augustus and a sweet little Clementine. (Clementine is only there for a few more weeks before she goes to her new forever home.) Cathy and I started chatting about pet sitting but as we were talking I was overwhelmed with all the options of food that I didn't think existed for Cats. I had been wanting fresh food (not canned or dry) for our cat. I had seen fresh food for dogs at Whole Foods and Petsmart, etc. but none for Cats. Cathy has it!!! Hello, this is 2011 (almost 2012) and your employees have to read through an old torn price list and it seems they try to work off of memory to see what they have in stock and when it will be re-ordered. This is so inefficient and such a huge time-waster for the employees and the customer. They also have one phone line, so if one of the employees is on the phone, you have to wait until they are off so the cashier can run your credit card. Flinstones much???? I would think that with the amount of money that is charged for the food and pet toys, they could afford these basic tools to run a successful business. Lastly, please ditch those paper money coupons and use a rewards system like PetSmart, PetCo and WoofMeow that can be kept on a keychain. I have those damn paper money coupons all over my car and my kitchen drawer, I just never remember to gather them all together to bring to the store with me. Time to step it up!

Cuts were great, always on time, and priced lower than the big chains. She just groomed my new rescue mix who was a mess after being locked in a bedroom by a lunatic for over a year. He was extremely scared and skittish. Maureen handled him gently and created a beautiful puppy cut. How she got him cleaned I don't know. The whole shop is compassionate and pet focused.

The self service had everything you need to wash your dog: brush, aprons, hot and cold water dispensed through a spray that has different spray settings, leash for inside the wash tub and blow dryer. Everything went smoothly with our dog wash. My only suggestion is adding some heat to the blow dryer as it was hard to dry our dog's hair fully. Fair note though, I forgot to use the included towel :) The shop itself is big! There are so many different food options to choose from for your dog, and there is even a dog bakery. The cashier and workers were very friendly, kind and helpful. They give our kids some crayons, a drawing and stickers! We were able to check out as soon as we got in. This made leaving very easy since our company was two toddlers and a young dog :) Next time we are in the area, we will definitely drop by again!
