    Our final creations

Had an amazing afternoon at Petite Workshop! I went with a friend and we both created a terrarium each, one big Totoro and one small Totoro. Lily, the owner, was able to provide us with instructions, tools, and demonstrations to help us through the creation of our terrariums. She was very nice and patient with us as we were trying to learn the different techniques to create our model. Cool tip that I learned was to not worry if your clay starts to crack as a little water can help soften your clay and makes it easier to smooth out the cracks! The establishment was also very clean and welcoming, also filled with a lot of miniature models created by the owner. We had two hours booked to complete the project and never felt rushed. I highly recommend coming to Petite Workshop! Be sure to make a reservation on their website at least a couple days in advance as the Petite Workshop was popping nearing the end of our session. Thanks Lily for the amazing time and we hope to come back again!

A hidden gem activity!! We went in with zero knowledge and experience working with air dry clay, and left with the cutest decorative pieces. Lily, the owner, was amazing at walking us through what to do and making sure we were comfortable with the steps. I can't recommend this workshop enough :-)

Had an amazing time at Petite Workshop with my friends. There is a bunch of miniature clay projects you can choose from - ranging in difficulties, which is great for all ages. We made a dim sum set which took about 1.5 hour and was moderately difficult. The instructor was amazing and was very patient teaching the class which made the experience even more enjoyable! Would highly recommend to anyone who is in Markham and looking for an activity to do!

PERFECT MATCH if I do say so myself

Absolutely love this place! They have tons of different models you can choose to create around the workshop. I'm not artistically talented in any way and wasn't confident that I'd be able to make one of my own but the instructors were really patient and guided me through each step of the way. The clay that they use for modeling is really easy to handle and doesn't even require an oven to finish. You can come in and bring your piece home all in one go! The environment is also very bright and clean which is always a plus. Definitely give this place a visit if you can and bring your friends too! It was one of most fun (and wholesome) activities that I've done with them in a while.

One of the cutest shops around! I recommend Petite Workshop to anyone who is interested in exploring their creative side. I've been to a few events held by Petite Workshop and have been amazed at what these talented group of instructors can prepare with clay. All of the displays are skillfully made with a variety of colours and textures. The classes here are great for kids and adults - you have the choice of selecting your preferred difficulty level, timeline, and the type of item you want to make. From little clay sculptures to key chains, you'll have endless possibilities to explore and patient instructors to help you bring out your inner craftsman. If you are in the Markham area, pay a visit to their workshop. Last time we went, the entire studio was filled with adorable mini sculptures and my phone almost ran out of storage trying to capture every display they had!

I love this woman! she is so sweet and easy to talk to. She speaks Cantonese and English fluently. When i came in she was very welcoming we had to switch shoes because during the time i went it was winter. So we wore the slippers to keep the floor clean which is nice. No muddy shoe prints anywhere. Also a coat hanger to hang your clothes and scarves. She told us since it was our first time making them we had 4 to choose from as an introductory on how to make them and the next time i go i can choose from the intermediate section. So we picked a dim sum set and sushi set. She told us she has been doing this for years i think she said... 20 or 30 years i cant quite remember. She used to teach from her home. I learned a lot and made the cutest little shrimp tails. At the end we also got to choose two charms as a gift from a box. They are also all hand made from her. We picked up 2 little Chinese good luck cat charms and happily took our little creations home. I can't wait to go again!

The moment you step in you already get excited about all the possibilities because there are (probably) millions of cute miniature clay art pieces on display. They look amazing and super realistic, which really speaks for the instructors' talents. I made a chicken (from the zodiac) and it turned out really well, especially since the instructors were really helpful and attentive. They have many tools here to help you make the clay art, which I found to be useful. They also have different projects for all skill levels! I will definitely be coming back for more lessons!

I had such a great time here with my friends! It gave us an opportunity to catch up with each other and share some laughs. We even turned this into a friendly competition to see who's miniature clay would turn out better. There were instructors that checked in on our progress and helped us with any questions that we had. They were extremely nice and patient as it was our first time trying out miniature clay. You can choose the project that you wanted to work on and they have a huge variety to choose from. I will definitely come back again!

If you are trying to kill time, this is the best place to go. Creating cute and mini projects. Everything is soooooo detail, and this is a place to be creative. The instructor and her helpers are very kind to guide us through making our projects. We'll definitely come again soon. Thank you petite workshop for making us having a great time there!

This workshop place is an upstairs shop that's very spacious and cozy! It's the perfect spot for friend gatherings and family activities! The instructor was very patient, friendly, and informative step by step in the process and it was very rewarding at the end of the workshop!

Came across this gem when my friend and I didn't know what to do on a weekend. We called to make sure that they were open and had openings for us to make something. We tried the one time class and fully enjoyed ourselves making miniature cakes. The staffs were beyond nice and accommodating!! Highly recommend!

This workshop is fun and cute! My friend and I enjoyed our time here making a cute cake. The staff were really friendly and nice. I would highly recommend getting friends to come together and make an appointment!

    Birthday cake

My wife and I went for a workshop today and we had a great experience. Lily was friendly and knowledgeable about miniature craft. My wife worked on a sushi platter project and I made a birthday cake. The projects were manageable and the finished products turned out quite well. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will definitely return for other projects.

Shoot, sometimes I just wanna stop by to play with Fei and Aaron's cute wittle doggies. hehe. The folks here are very understanding and caring, knowledgable, and truly artistic. Good pricing and a nicely structured curriculum. I really recommend this place for growing artists. But, that doesn't mean the novice should shy away. There are a number of workshops for you to try what kind of art you might want to indulge in. Cheers to Winged Canvas!

All this art work displayed in the staircase, hallways, bathroom, workshop.. everywhere!! It shows the quality of art that is produced from this place. All the art displayed was impressive!! It actually is a cozy place. The workshop area is neat and tidy. I chatted with the owner - Fei , and she let me know that she has classes for every level and all ages. There are one day classes available on P.A days, and there are weekly classes, but anyone who is thinking of starting in one of the available programs can try a one day session to see what its all about. My daughter had a really fun time at this birthday party. She painted a butterfly and took it home. 4.5 stars for overall first experience. I'm sure, the next one will bump it up to a 5 !!

This location has a large upper gym area, a pool, and courts for different sports. They also have classes throughout the day! Not necessarily my favorite Y, but ultimately it has most things you'd expect to find in one…read more I mentioned in a review for another Y that decor doesn't really matter with gyms. I guess that's still true but I was surprised at how much the monotone grey-scale of the entire place made it feel cold in here. I guess I'll continue with a couple more critiques. One is that I don't understand why they don't simply keep towel racks in the plus change-rooms as they do at every other Y I've ever been to. It's part of what you're paying for, and though you can get them at the front desk, it just seemed odd that they just won't keep them stocked in the change-room for convenience. The change-room itself was quite small and has virtually no seats which was a bit odd too. Apart from those minor things, the workout area is well stocked and they even have a couple unique things in what is sort of a mini studio in the middle of the workout area. One thing I really appreciate this place as a runner is that their track is longer than most of the other ones as it circles the gymnasium as well. It's nice having longer straightaways so you don't feel like you're turning most of the time. If you're strictly into using weights, they do have what you need here though you can probably find other places to go to for cheaper. However, Y's (including this one) are great for having additional amenities, which includes a full-sized pool, gymnasium, running track, programming for kids and other things. There's also often more a community feel at them and often a chance to make connections too.

The owner, Erika, was dismissive of my concerns pointing out that the animals required feeding. While I empathize with small business owners I explained that serious consideration should be given to continuing lessons in the middle of a pandemic. Clearly we did not agree which was fine. Months later I tried to enquire about extending fall classes for my daughter and to my surprise I was met with resistance. My wife and I are separated and I was told by Erika that my ex-wife was that only parent that she would be corresponding with. I tried to explain that I was only asking for extra riding dates but again the owner said she would refuse to speak with me even though I have communicated with her before. My daughter does enjoy the school which is the only reason why I am not pulling her out - I don't want her to be in the middle of this. It's a shame that the owners resorted to this tactic even though I was just trying to provide constructive criticism. Please stay safe everyone
