Enigma Escape room is excellent. We've been to two rooms. The first was Fairytale (4/5 in…read moredifficulty). It's a small room with no secondary room, but it's a lot of fun. It has many little disjoint puzzles which are somewhat challenging. Each puzzle is independent of the others, which allows for a group to split into smaller groups and solve the puzzles in parallel. The second room was The Lost Treasure (3/5 in difficulty). It was well thought-out and somewhat more challenging than advertised. The main room leads to a secondary room, and the main room is considerably more challenging. Both rooms were suitable for all ages. One of the great things about Enigma is that they allow you a lot of extra time. On both occasions they allowed us almost an additional hour to try to escape. They gave lots of clues, without taking away from the challenge. Moreover, the place is well maintained and it is clean. Keep up the good work.

It's a cozy place though with a few couches, coat racks, and lockers to store your belongings - oh, and the mandatory signs to hold up for pictures afterwards, of course. There are 7 different rooms here, 2 of which are horror themed. My team selected the "Godfather" with its 5/5 stars in difficulty rating, with the reason that we wouldn't be embarrassed even if we failed (i.e., a good excuse haha). Without spoiling anything, it gave us quite a run for our money! At first I had thought that the 9 people (maximum) we had in the small room would be overkill, but there were a few convoluted clues in there that had all of us circling around in confusion. It was only after 4 calls for hints later (hints are unlimited here - you'll need them) and with just 1 minute to go on the clock that we thankfully made our escape. Overall, everyone enjoyed the escape games, and the friendliness of the staff definitely contributed to the positive experience. Instructions were clear and the process was fairly efficient, although I felt they were somewhat understaffed as there was sometimes a delay in receiving hints - again, this was to be expected as we constituted a large group, but you'll appreciate my frustration when you're in the room staring in panic at the clock counting down on the wall. We got there pretty late (turns out just an hour isn't enough!) and they let us come in at a later date to finish our work, with no additional fees. There are plenty of people chatting while crafting; there are quite a few university students, probably due to the student discount. We ended up painting and firing three pieces. Sadly, one piece got chipped after firing. They did refire it, but we had to come back another time to pick it up. There's a pretty wide selection of ceramics, with a few "specialty" pieces, but it's worth noting they're Made in China designs, if you care about that sort of thing. Overall I would probably go back, with a bit more time in mind - there are plenty of great restaurants in the area to decompress, too!

The tone was hostile, and the reasoning made no sense. Customers pay for the piece, the studio time, and the firing. Colour limits serve no purpose beyond making it easier for the establishment to handle customers. The same employee who was rude and hostile later called to say she hadn't realized we had more than one piece and that we could use six colours after all. By then, the experience was already compromised, so we did not return. Crock A Doodle was a direct contrast. Seven minutes away. Transit-friendly. Every table stocked with the full set of thirty colours. The price of the item covers everything: paint, time, and firing. It was straightforward and worth it.

They have a large selection of games to choose from. It was both informative and fun. You learn the basics on Olympic recurve archery and range safety. This sets you up to be self independent if you decide to shoot at any other range. After taking the lesson I signed up for their weekly lessons to improve my skills. It's a long waiting list due to demand but worth the wait. Their weekly lessons are set up in a different format. They coach each student based on their goals and skill level. The do not separate students based on skills. Archery is a very inclusive sport and they model their class based on this principle. As a coach, both Shawn and Andy have been beyond supportive. If I needed some last min tuning help or equipment check they will make time out of class to help. They even offered me rides to local tournaments when I needed help with transportation. I could not have asked for a better coach.
